I have never written a google review in my entire life, and this is my first review. I was brutally cheated by the Legal system and my Attorney (SB), and I believe he colluded with my ex-wife, Attorney (MM), and Childrens Attorney (SW), appointed by the Court. I am devastated and helpless and cant believe this can happen in America. I applied for Divorce in October 2018 in a small town called Brenham in Texas. In June 2019, a temporary hearing occurred; my Attorney (SB), didnt ask questions related to how I raised my kids and didnt cross-verify many key items what my ex-wife said to the Court. Also, he didnt file a Request for Relief before the Temporary hearing, which my ex-wifes Attorney (MM) pointed out. The Court decided to give Child custody to my ex-wife and I was kicked out of my home. My ex-wifes Attorney (MM) filed a petition to appoint a Childrens Attorney just a couple of weeks before the Jury trial was originally planned, and the Court immediately appointed SW. She met for the first time, and I shared some key OFW messages and shared details about how my ex-wife was not cooperating with co-parenting, doing parent alienation, and the kids grades were going downhill. She asked me to send all the OFW photos, videos, and text messages, and I sent an email. After sending the email, She even refused to acknowledge the email and refused to meet 2nd time as she told me she would do. My kids always share what Atttorney says to them, and I asked my Attorney (SB), why Children Attorney (SW) did not ask which parent did what before the Divorce. After this, Children Attorney (SW) somehow came to know; she started telling my kids that their conversation was private and should not be shared with anyone. She took the stance that my ex-wife should get kids custody and never put together one single exhibit to support it other than using my ex-wifes Exhibits. I shared this with my Attorney (SB), and nothing changed. She even met with my kids at my ex-wifes place after the Jury decision and told my kids that conversation is private and cant be shared with anyone. After several postponements of the Jury trial, the Jury trial was held in August 2022. By Gods grace and Robby Neal help and support, I could share most of my story with the Jury and how I raised my two little boys. After a seven-day trial, the Jury gave me kids custody, and Divorce was granted in favor of me. Finally, the divorce decree was signed in August 2023 with split custody, and the property was split unfairly and unjustly, and I ended up with no money in my bank account with thousands and thousands of loans (More than 100K). Even though Jury game me Right to designate Primary residence, the Court decided to give the home to my ex-wife and now some how law changed. After Temporary hearing, The Judge gave same Right to designate primary residence and then my Attorney (SB) told me that my ex-wife designated my house as Primary residence and I am kicked out. I called many Applette court attorneys and found out that I couldnt afford to fight for Justice. During the process, I had an appointment with Susan, and before she called me on October 4, 2023, she had reviewed my case on a high level. After asking me a few questions, she agreed to represent me, and the fees she quoted were 70% less than the lowest amount I heard so far. On October 5, 2023, I signed the contract. I have no words to describe how grateful I am to have Susan as my Attorney for the appeal. She is a Guardian angel sent by God during devastating moments in my life to help me and fight for Justice. Thank you to Susan and her team for helping me during this process. Susan and her team have filed a brief in my Civil Appeal case. It is well written and I only hope it helps not just myself but others that may have been treated the same way by our Justice system. I have been very pleased in their ability in a situation that is pretty complicated. Clothier Law firm has been such a great experience. I love how Susan and her team are passionate and gear to find justice in my case. I contacted Susan about a very complex civil case and while living in England and dealing with the legal dramas of America I made several calls to lawyers who my wife and I needed for emergency help on an appeal. Nobody wanted to take the case - maybe cause of distance who knows. I found Susan through a sheer bit of luck and we had a consultation and she immediately climbed on my wifes and I team and took our case. Throughout the months she and her team worked closely to find major areas of the case that were a serious issue. She also is more than a lawyer she comes across as someone who does care about people. My wife and I are not just clients in her eyes, we are people, and her devotion to that care really stuck out. She filed the appeal brief and although we dont have decisions on the case just yet I felt it was necessary to give Susan and her firm 5 out of 5 stars. My wife and I are very confident in the work she has done for us and we are looking forward to justice actually being served. Folks, listen! After 3 other attorneys took my money any nearly ghosted me, I felt defeated! One of those attorneys took my money and didnt show on my behalf and I lost a $700k+ case becausei didntget to show my evidence! I called several other appeals attorneys, YOU HAVE A 2% CHANCE OF WINNING AN APPEAL, JUST FILE THE BIG B, they all said! I was so defeated! Susan Clouthier was my last call! I told her my story and she took my case and said, You have more than one option, let me help you! This kind of situation is exactly why I got into this profession! The other attorneys you spoke with are not passionate like I am!! She was very good at calming my stress and opening up hope! And I needed that, in such a bad way!! After reading her very thoroughly drafted appeal on my behalf I was shocked the amount of knowledge she had!! I needed to appeal an unlawful and unjust family court ruling. I needed one of the best, so I asked around and Susan Clouthiers name kept coming up as one of the best. As soon as we hired her, the judge drastically changed the order (not enough for us not to appeal.) Susan won the writ. She is working on bringing our children home. Susan has been great and we couldn t have made a better choice for our writ lawyer. She did everything under the sun to try to help my husband. She believed in him, went way above and beyond and even visited him in person two or three times. Susan has always been available to talk to even if I was just worrying and needed to vent. I hired Susan in a Bankruptcy case, after my motion to set aside a judgement was denied. Susan sprang into action, on a short deadline, she filed the my Appeal and came up with the idea to file a motion for stay since the Plaintiff was being aggressive. Susan did her homework and wrote such a great brief on the appeal, the judge presiding over the case reviewed the appeal, and decided against granting the motion for a stay, but rather decided to void his own judgement. Susan is the most considerate, respectful, and knowledgeable lawyer I have ever dealt with. There was no nonsense, no unreasonable fees. I really was impressed with her ability to explain exactly what was going to happen and what could possibly happen in a way I could understand.
