Youll love the newest Niko Nikos location in The Woodlands. Big, bright, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, friendly service with the delicious Greek food you expect from this family owned business. Niko Nikos is one of our favorites! Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu. They have crayons to color on the kiddo menu. They also have lil lollipops. My grandbaby always enjoys the gyro meat and yellow rice.

First off this is not a $10 to $20 meal. My wife and I split a small Greek salad, a filo dough cheese filled appetiser, and two very small dips, with one coke and a water and the bill was close to $50 with a tip. The dips wear watery and of very small portion. Actually came on a typical backyard paper plate with the small side portion areas occupying the dips. The Greek salad was almost all iceberg lettuce with a very weak dressing. The filo dough items were as basic as they could be. For these prices I would expect fast food pricing or upgraded quality and presentation. Neither were present tonight. And tipping before you actually eat the food is getting very tiring with what we were served I would have left no tip.

Went this afternoon for my birthday, also our first time ever going, everything was amazing! My husband got the Greek combo platter(meant for 2) but he is a competitive eater so it was just for him. That platter was almost too much for him. It was loaded down with meat and so many types of food. Definitely worth every bit. I had the dolmathes with a warm lemon sauce that was to die for and a felafel pita that was delicious but had to take home cause I could not finish it... Looking forward to my leftovers for lunch tomorrow we also had to try some of the desserts. The chocolate mousse cake was so decadent and adorable at the same time, I also got a pint of pistachio gelato to take home that is divine and had some kataifa is sorta of like a shredded baklava , loukoumades which is like a Greek sopaipilla with this beautiful honey sauce. Even their Greek passion tea was really good. Kostas helped us figure out what to order and really helped make our evening special. He was so kind and personable, like wed known him forever. He had a smile the entire time we were there. Will definitely be coming back. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, laid back atmosphere, kid friendly meal options

The food was pretty bad. 20$ per person for what they call Greek fast food . I order beef dolmas and the butter lemon sauce was gagging. It looked like the green slime out of my daughter s slime container and tasted like a starchy chemical.. I had to rinse the dolmas in my drinking water to try to wash the slimy sauce off. My daughter s pizza was terrible. And the egg plant lasagna tasted like a pumpkin pie with noodles. Cooking is my passion and know how to do it well. This was very disappointing. For Greek I highly recommend The Olive Oil on Sawdust Road .. I give them 100% and 5 for Greek food. The only thing good was their pistachio ice-cream, it s is the bomb! So, yes that is the forte! Their desserts.

First time having Niko Niko s and I m shocked by how low the review score is! The food was incredible and cheaper than other Mediterranean options. My wife and I had the gyro platter with extra gyro meat, pita, feta, and a side of spanakopita. Everything was so flavorful, the portions were generous, service was prompt and friendly. For $40 we will have 4 meals. Will definitely be going back many times!

Went today for lunch at about 2:15. Started an order, decided to make some changes, because I saw something on the menu. I was informed that I could not make the changes I was asking for. I was then required to eat the original order regardless of what I wanted. So I asked the now very non helpful order taker to simply cancel the original order and start a new one. Well he cant do that. I told him that if he couldnt I could leave, without any hesitation he invited me to go, I did! Now understand, I have been going to Niko Niko for decades (in Montrose) and never have I been treated like this. I had become accustomed to what can reasonably known as customer service, not rude totalitarian order takers. It will be a while before I return.

I forgot to share this with yall yesterday but I would be remise as your local go-to for freaking amazingly good food if I did not share. .. Lately....like the past few years food is disappointing. Restaurants cutting costs by selecting cheaper ingredients and skimping on seasoning.....could be the monstanto.....gmo.....who the heck knows.....either way, nothing tastes as good as it used to. Then yesterday my hope in the culinary future of the world was restored. My vision of what a truly amazing burger came to life. That first bite which produces the flush of dopamine we spend out entire lifestyle seeking out....happened. it was all there.....the perfect thickness of the hand formed 10 oz patty....yes you read that right....cooked to a perfect medium rare....gooey cheese...crisp THICK bacon....the bun fit the burger....was toasted to buttery perfection...not too dense but never fell apart on this bad mama jamma. Art. This was art. The meat was so flavorful and juicy with a perfect sear on the outside producing the beautiful carmelization without drying it out. Then....THEN they had the audacity to throw a monstrous portion of hand cut, delicately seasoned fries on my plate...as if the burger itself was not obscene enough. I dont always go to Niko Nikos.....but when I do....I will be getting the burger....Dont say I didnt warn you....

We came here for our first time and not what we were expecting. The food is ok and very expensive, and they serve way too much, you have to have a really big appetite. Olive Oil in Sawdust is much more reasonable and amazing food. What I will say I was taken back by is that they serve your food in paper plates and plastic utensils? Really? Sorry but not for the price you pay.

I went for the first time and had hesitation just based on the fact that the place is so huge. Plastic utensils? yuck. They offer fried shrimp and soggy fries too, are you kidding? Too many things on the menu to figure out what to eat. My husband s and my tab was $70 for shrimp & fries, for hummus, side of three small cheese filled things, one beer, one soda. .We sat at a four top. They have huge 59-diner napkin holders and carpenter boxes that hold seasonings which take up most of the room on the small table - we had to set them on the floor to have room on our table. I can make better hummus at home had zero flavor none of the food had any flavor except the lamb was OK. Greek salad was different but it s pretty hard to mess up a Greek salad The fast- food Lubys feel didn t jive with me for anything intimate and authentic - the place is noisy and huge - the food is pilled onto plates - it s ridiculous . My husband ordered shrimp because he didn t know what to eat lol - the shrimp is gross - the french fries were soggy no flavor & are enough to feed three people - none of us finished our food it wasn t that good. I m never going back. What an insult to the classic location on Montrose. I give this place less than two years.

Food was great, love the Chicken Avgolemono soup! Husband s shrimp entree was pricey but large portions with a salad included. Enjoyed the large outdoor patio with fans and TVs. Biggest piece of feedback is that I wish they prioritized a sustainability mindset dining room was exclusively individual plastic wrapped cutlery (some of it was compostable cutlery, great, but why does it need to be plastic wrapped?), paper plates & bowls, appeared that nothing but the trays were reusable for dine-in.

Not worth a second experience. A $20 dish served on a paper plate with plastic picnic cutlery? You can t even mix the food to mix the seasoning. It spills out because there is no space. The $12 greek salad is served on a 3 portion paper plate so it is really difficult to mix the dressing (just olive oil and balsamic served separately in 2 plastic containers). And it was just romaine lettuce, dill and a handful of olives, with pits. Management does not walk around to welcome guests or ask for feedback like other restaurants in the area. No one approached us. Gyro was good but it is not hard to find a good gyro in our area. And the pita bread was doughy. I d rather support small businesses that care about the quality and experience and not just the volume.

Ive been to Niko Nikos a few times but on this night, I was a little disappointed in the time it took for our food to arrive and the bland taste. My mom had the fish and chips dish. Fish could have been cooked a little longer and the fries (chips) were soggy (limp). I had the gyro chicken platter which I ended up switching with my moms fish and chips dish because she didnt like it and the wife a cheese burger platter. Food was untasty at best with none of us eating much of our dinner nor taking our leftovers home. Im not saying the food was horrible, just not enjoyable. On top of that it took 40 minutes for our food to be ready. Mind you, it takes a lot for me to post a somewhat negative comment on my dining experience. But for an $84 dollar tab, it wasnt to our liking. Another time... Perhaps?

We we so excited to hear that Niko Nikos was coming from Houston to The Woodlands, and are so grateful! Reading over the reviews, it appears that many people may not be aware of what Niko Nikos is. Niko Nikos is the Greek restaurant Houstons Greeks go to when they dont want to cook. Its been a Houston staple for almost 50 years. Niko Nikos is unique. There are a lot of Mediterranean restaurants in the U.S., but as any Greek knows theres a big difference between Mediterranean food and Greek food. There are very few Greek restaurants good enough for Greeks to enjoy. Those who say that Niko Nikos is expensive arent considering everything thats included in the meals, and the portion sizes. Greeks dont skimp, and any platter here is 2 meals worth of food. Most restaurants nickel and dime or make you buy Greek salads separately. Here they typically come with the meals. Reviewers who complain that they dont wait on you confuse me. Great places focus on the food, and if they can lower the prices by eliminating unnecessary steps thats wonderful! Who wants to pay for someone to interrupt you a dozen times during your meal to ask if youd like more water, and not-so-gently nudge you out and prematurely end your time with friends and family as soon as youve finished eating so they can seat someone else? You get to relax in a spacious and pleasant dining room with no rush and enjoy high quality food made from high quality ingredients for about 50% more than the cost of mass produced mediocre fast food. We really appreciate that this location is large enough to handle crowds, and has plenty of parking and places to sit.

You basically get in line, order your food, then they give you a buzzer and when ready you go get your own food at the counter, and still they have option to tip them. It is expensive and food doesn t taste good. The service was bad at this location from the moment that I was placing my order and had a question the guy taking the order was very rude to me. They asked if I needed anything and said my pager went off and they were like oh it s not ready. So I waiting a little longer, got my food and asked about my coffee. They said it will be up soon and they will bring it to me. Went back to the table and noticed we were missing food. A lady came up to the table and said there was no drink on the order. I said yes there was and we were missing food too. She was combative. Luckily my husband still had the receipt and showed her. She left without an apology and brought the rest of the food and drink out once we had already finished our meal. For the price and service this is not worth it at all.

Got an eye roll & then watched as the line cook (who was obviously upset by my request for replacement) threw the fries off my plate in the fryer for literally not even a minute & throw back on my plate. I was so pissed at this but held in any further comment as I knew that obviously employees feel the customer is never right. Of course by this time my gyros was cold as well. As you can see not 1 decent tomatoe was in my gyro, all end cuts of Tomatoes. Took 1 bite as I was very hungry but not enough to eat another bite. I cant imagine going back any time soon. If I want authentic Greek food I will definitely drive a bit further to The Olive Oil on Sawdust where they truly care about quality & not a fast food type establishment.

$20+ a plate that you order at a counter and pick up yourself. Food is served on a paper plate with plastic utensils. You get your own drink. You bus your own table. Dont forget to add a tip for the clueless staff. I ask about a dish. The kid says hold on and looks at the computer then says he has no idea. Thanks. My hubby ask a girl about the gelato...same clueless response. We ask about their happy hour on deserts when we were leaving never to return and were told they were 25% off when the cashier told us 50%. No one knows anything here. Its overpriced and served like Wendys. Food was alright. Just alright. The lettuce in my salad wasnt fresh and crisp and my order was wrong. Husbands gyro plate was splattered with tzatziki. Ill drive 5 minutes down the road to The Olive Oil all day long.

$60 for two people, the cashier stares you down saying to fill this out which is the tip screen and I leave a 10% tip because I m on the spot. Buzzer goes off, I go to get the paper plate food, and they say they ll page me again when the rest is ready. Second buzz and I ask for it to go because I m not happy about being put on the spot for a tip and the guy hands me the food on another paper plate and a to go box. Plenty of other much better options in The Woodlands with far better service.

Highly recommend, food was ready in less than 5 minutes, food is great, high quality, delicious tasty desert options, restaurants team is very welcoming, large variety of food option - Greek, Mediterranean, American and vegetarian! Restaurant is very large, plenty space for dining and parking! Kids friendly - a lot of high chair and I am not scared to give food for my son since I know - kitchen is clean and owner takes care about quality. My receipt was not high priced, 44$ for coke, Greek coffee, meal with gyro and rice, Greek salad and lentils soup - for 3 people it s cheap, of course plus 8$ of tips,)))) Food was ready in 5 minutes! It was loooongggg wait line - but you know it means the quality is great, and everyone loves Niko Nikos! Vegetarian options: Greek salad and lentils soup Parking: A lot of parking available Kid-friendliness: Super friendly. They have high chairs for kids

We were very excited about this place as we just came back from Greece this summer, but after trying the Greek style freddo cappuccino, freddo expresso and baklava we were very dissatisfied with the lack of flavor for such overpriced items. We decided to give it a second chance and came back to try out gyros, spanakopita and tyropita. Now I m confident to say that it was utterly disappointing: it s a noisy fast food restaurant with overpriced and flavorless food. Nothing compared to real Greek food. Might as well try to make it at home.

Im not usually the type to write reviews, but unfortunately I cannot recommend Niko Nikos in the woodlands. Originally came here a couple of weeks after their grand opening on a weekend. Waited 30 minutes in line and when we got to the counter, we were told it would be another 50 minutes until the food would be ready. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured they were just busy busy and we would come back another time. Upon walking in tonight (Tuesday night at 7:45), there was one person in line in front of us and a party of three behind us, so we figured surely this visit would be different. We order our food (gyro plate, chicken and souvlaki plate, two drinks and a piece of the baklava cheesecake) which came out to just about $60 and were told the wait would be about 30 minutes. A little bit excessive in my opinion on price and cook time, but again, giving the benefit of the doubt. Our ticket was printed at 7:54, we grabbed our drinks and waited for our food. After about 40 minutes and seeing the people who ordered directly behind us finishing their food and leaving the restaurant, I go to the counter and inquire about our food. After some visible confusion among the staff, they come back to tell me it will be another 3 minutes for our food. When the food is ready and I go to pick it up, the food wasnt even hot. At this point, I ask to speak to a manager. Aaron follows me to the table and I express my concerns considering the service we recieved and he proceeds to ask if I have ever been a part of a grand opening before as if opening over a month ago is some kind of excuse? Then he proceeds to tell me that we are only approaching about 35 minutes since ticket was printed. At the time of this comment it was 8:41, 47 minutes after the ticket was printed. He comped the baklava cheesecake and offered another dessert. The fries were room temp, almost cold, my lamb was room temp as was the chicken souvlaki plate. If the food had arrived hot, I would have given it 3 stars, but really the food was just okay. The most redeeming part of the meal was the tzatziki sauce, which was very good. All the food is served on paper plates with plastic ware, you stand in line and order at the counter then when your food is ready you go back to pick it up. You refil your own drinks and yet at the counter youre expected to tip 15-25% on food that is overpriced. I heard really great things about the Niko Nikos in downtown Houston, but this one in the woodlands unfortunately doesnt seem to measure up. TLDR; ridiculous wait times, overpriced food served on paper plates with plastic utensils and cups, cafeteria style restaurant where youre still expected to tip, food is just okay. I will not be returning to this branch, but am eager to give the one downtown a try.

Initially my family and I came to visit on a weekend....bad idea ( we were super hungry and with 2 kids) so we left. The lines were to the bathroom doors and the markers said it would take 60 minutes to get to register and 30 minutes to get food approximately. Today, a Monday at 5 pm, we waltz directly to register and order. I love this location because it is spacious, and theyve got a lot of space for dining and bringing the kiddos. The food was great and service was top notch. Clean and food was out in a good amount of time. Will be coming back.

Way to overpriced and it s honestly not the best Greek food I have tasted. The food is okay but for the price it s not worth it. I spent 21 dollars on a chicken pita with a side and a drink and then I was craving a dessert which was 7 dollars. My meal total ended up being 30 dollars. This will not be a place that I will come back to often. Also, why y all ask for tips?? Everything is self service, asking for tips is unnecessary and unacceptable. Seriously!

Glad the Woodlands was blessed with a Nikos! Euro plate is my go-to with lemon potatoes. Their Salad with greek dressing and feta is great I d suggest try both. Portions have been greatly reduced in comparison to the original Montrose location. Ridiculous lines, be prepared to wait a long time unfortunately. Staff needs additional training, everyone moves very slowly so don t hold your breath, serious lack of efficiency tbh. Same great food, not the same quality service you d grow to expect from Nikos.

First time at this restaurant. The place was moderately busy. Took about 10 minutes to order. 10 minutes for our food. When you enter it is a cafeteria style set up. Order at the register and find a table. They will page you when order is ready. Their menu is extensive. Read it while you wait or pull it up on the website. My son and I ordered gyros. I had homemade fries and he had homemade chips (a la carte). Everything was good. Pricing is just what you expect anywhere. Expect to pay $20 a person. Next time I will get a Hercules and split it in half. Fries were plentiful and so were the chips. We could have split either one. Great first visit and will come back to try all the excellent options they have.

Our first time at Niko s. We went at dinner time. We had gyro sandwich and French fries (meat was very dry. But good portion) Chicken gyro and potatoes ( meat very dry, crispy chicken. Potatoes was so good.Good portion) Hummus was ok, pita bread was a bit stale . Pita chips was ok ,no flavor . Olives had pits, I hate that, however , it tasted good. The feta cheese that came with the olives was good. The Taziki sauce didn t have much of a cucumber flavor and it was a small amount for a big portion of Gyro and meat. The baklava cheesecake was the most delicious I have had. I wasn t much of a fan with the cherries on top, but it s still tasted very good and it was a good size . We will give it another try and go at lunchtime and see if The meat is fresher, and not as dry. The restaurant itself was nice and very spacious . The Restaurant had a good amount of parking space as well. Kid-friendliness: The restaurant had an area for the kids to play outside.

I have loved Niko Niko since I started being a number 1 customer 30 years ago at the Montrose location. When I moved west and the Katy Freeway and the Beltway opened it was fantastic. I relocated to Dallas, and to my surprise I looked to my left and there was a Niko Niko in the Woodlands. I made a fast Freeway exit, turned into the to go area. Placed an order to take back to Dallas with me. Unfortunately my order had a few challenges. I ordered a large Greek salad with extra extra dressing. I get all the way to Dallas, not only was my extra dressing missing, there actually was no dressing. I basically wasted a salad because I had no dressing . Then I ordered grape leaves with meat and rice, I asked for extra lemon/dill sauce. No extra sauce was given. I ordered the greek wings with extra honey Buffalo sauce. The sauce was given but no extra. Needless to say. I was left unsatisfied. The some what good thing is when I called and spoke with the manger she refunded the salad. However, this did not make up for everything else. I was 3.5 hour drive away. Outside of that, I love Niko Niko. Its the closest to the Greektowns of Chicago and Detroit, or my Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini experience. When your craving Greek.

Keep in mind that you have to walk up to get your order with a buzzer and they are still asking to be tipped 15-20%+ at the register for food that comes out on a paper plate and a drinks in plastic cups. Counter service restaurants should not be asking for tips, no one is waiting on me, refilling drinks, or taking my order. Not to mention I asked to order one thing and the young man that took my order rang me up for something completely incorrect.

Wanted experience Nico Nico s in the Woodlands. I ve been to the Houston location many times in the past. Service was friendly and line short, dinner time. They do have line time mark which is helpful. We ordered the Taziki dip, calamari, Kids Gyro sandwich with fries and the Gyro sandwich with potato wedges. The Taziki was on point and the pita chips were delicious, also comes with pita bread. The calamari was over cooked which left it hard and rubbery. Gyro meat was delicious but the fries were soggy and the potato wedges were over cooked (more like mashed potatoes). We were able to sit outside due to cooler weather with the rain, something you normal can t do in July. They have TVs , fans and plenty of seating with sturdy tables and chairs. I believe this place would make a great place to eat for lunch but not for dinner. We may try again but our favorite Greek restaurant is The Olive Oil Restaurant on Sawdust. Love that Flaming Cheese, Saganaki !!!!! Not to mention the live entertainment on Friday and Saturday night!!!

I guess we will have to wait and see if the service and the food improves.
