Hello, I recently used Cordell & Cordell for my divorce. I was assigned Robyn Atkins in the Houston market. She was phenomenal. Not only was she was very knowledgeable about the laws and procedures, but she listened to what was important to me: 1) what was actually happening in my house hold with my ex-wife, 2) how my daughter chose to stay with me, 3) and how I wanted to protect my daughters college fund and automobile. Furthermore, she put in the language of the divorce decree that I was not responsible for any further debts or collections that my ex-wife failed to declare. I am still getting credit card bills and calls from collection agencies that I was never aware of. SHE PROTECTED ME!!!!! This was huge to me, because I am close to retirement. Moreover after the divorce, my ex-wife agreed to waive the mediation requirement for selling the house for a set amount of money. Robyn drew up the paperwork for a Special Warranty Deed for my ex-wife to sign. I had this signed in front of a notary, with an extra line stating that my ex-wife declared that she received the cash settlement and date. Therefore, my daughter now has the stability to stay in the house that she grew up in, when she visits from college. Robyn went that extra mile to make sure that every concern and need was met. I can hardly recommend this firm enough, particularly the Woodlands office. Ms. Atkins handled my case extremely well: she was always there for me when I needed her, regardless of the problem at hand, throughout the process. Ms. Nguyen was also instrumental and a terrific source of information. If youre going through a divorce, then you need to talk to Cordell & Cordell.

I called, made an appointment, cleared my schedule, filled out a surprising amount of information and sent it, only to be told less than 5 hours before my scheduled appointment that no one would be available to see me.

Just the impersonal way you all try to collect your consultation fee is enough for me to know you all would treat my case the same way. Not interested. Consider this me letting you know I am not coming to today. I will seek personal and individualized care instead.

My husband heard about them on sports radio and recommended them to my father who was starting on a bitter divorce process. He ended up firing them months later because they gave him a female lawyer who insisted he concede (give in to his exes demands). He has lost so much time, money and patience in this process and its still not over. He is losing his legacy to a woman he practically rescued off the streets with three young kids. I would recommend representing yourself before hiring these people.
