I have always liked this restaurant and I had never placed an order online and I am very sad because I am pregnant and I had a craving for tamale. I ordered a meal and added tamale and they did not send it to me, the order arrived incomplete. I spoke to the person who brought it and it was not this persons mistake, I call the restaurant and they never answer, the answering machine always comes out, sad

We have eaten here several times. We usually get it through one of the delivery platforms. They never disappoint the ropa vieja is absolutely phenomenal! We have had the same dish in multiple places in miami, as well as in Cuba! This is one of our favorite eateries for good ropa vieja. The portions are also big! Support local!

Like another reviewer said. The dishes sounded great, bet everything was bland. Even the pastelitos had little ingredients. And honestly the portions are small, my husband had cancer surgery and I take the weight loss shots so we arent big esters. So for us to say small portions, watch out. But the reason we arent going back is because of the overall taste and quality of the food. Sorry I feel bad but it appears they are trying to cut corners. But it doesnt help, it hurts the business.

I ordered the food 08/17 through uber eats. As someone who was born and raised Hialeah, FL and with cuban household I had to try the food since this was a new spot and closer to where I currently now reside. Everything was delivered hot and fresh. I got the Masita de puerco with Rice and Red beans, the croquetas, yuca con mojo, palomilla steak and tostones. Unfortunately, the best part about the food was the rice and beans. The food lacked salt and the croquetas was not quite close to hamon croquetas I have had growing up. Could just be a differential in recipie so I would give it a 3/5. The tostones came overhooked and dry. 1/5 The yuca con mojo was good but lacked salt. 3/5 The masita de pierco lacked mojo. 3/5 My husband had the palomilla steak. Hes not hispanic what so ever, but also agreed the food was missing something. 3/5 Not sure if maybe I caught them on a bad day or if maybe eating inside would be better. But, I was not impressed. The food is mid at best.

It was our third time dining in and wished they had something closer to the Growing Conroe population. A good place to eat savoring true Cuban cuisine with the typical herbs and spices only found in our tropical island is hard to find this far north of Houston. The quality and taste were good however, I had to request to have my food re heated, which they did as it felt only Lukewarm. The wall mural inside was represented of the Old Havana barrios! Parking: Parking was appropriate for the most part.

So, Ive been seeing this billboard on 1488 advertising a restaurant called Havana House Cuban Eatery, and I suggested to my husband that we should give it a try. We used to frequent a Cuban restaurant in South Beach, Florida, and I have such fond memories of our time there. Now, we finally had the chance to dine at Havana House, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint at all! The place itself is super cute, and the service was just amazing - very friendly and accommodating. It seemed like most of their business came from online orders, but we decided to dine-in and we had a wonderful meal. We ordered the Chuleta, which was two grilled pork chops, along with a side of white rice and beans. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely delicious. And, to top it off, the Cuban espresso was insanely good. We finished our meal with Caramel Flan, which was a perfect ending to our dining experience. They also mentioned that they are putting in a Bakery next door, which really got us excited to go back for more. All in all, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we will definitely be going back!

Our first time here and the food was soooo good! I m a Cuban from Miami so I m used to eating Cuban food all the time. It s been so hard to find somewhere in Texas with authentic Cuban food. You can tell the owner and employees were Spanish so it was a nice homey feeling upon entering the restaurant. The service and attention was excellent! They even brought my son an apple juice and some mariquitas while we waited for the food. I ordered the ropa vieja because it s my favorite and my husband the vaca frita. We also ordered two croquetas wish were friendly made. They were so good! Our favorite meals were cooked to perfection! We also ordered Materva as our drinks and flan for dessert. Everything tasted delicious. From the attention to the food, I wish I could give this place 10 stars. I would post a photo but everything looked so good that we ate it right away! We will definitely be back when we are in the area! So happy to have found this gem of a restaurant. You will feel very welcome and enjoy great food! Gracias por todo. Updated - I have been wanting to come back and try them out again since they moved into their brick and mortar space and also added new items to their menu. And they definitely did not disappoint. The cubano and guava cheese roll is delicious as before. I am not sure how to describe it, but holding onto the Cubano you can see its such a big and hearty sandwich. But when you bite into it, its basically effortless. The bread is not too thin, not too thick, the pork is tender and juicy. And every single bite is just right. Nothing too salty, too tangy. Every bite, is the perfect bite. I dont usually get too detailed in my other reviews but I felt like I had to with this cubano. And I am by no means an expert nor do I eat a lot of cubanos. But its something that I noticed while I was eating my lunch just now and thought I had to share. I also ordered the Potato Balls - Papa Rellena de Carne. So I am originally from San Diego and have been looking for a Cuban place that served these because I have been craving the ones from Portos Bakery. A very popular Cuban Bakery Chain in Southern California. IYKYK. My initial reaction, the ones from Portos are better. However, these are delicious as well. I would buy them again. The price point on UberEats was very reasonable at $3 each and they were huge. Considering they were delivered, I was very impressed that they had a crunch when I bit into them. Was disappointed in the meat to potato ratio. Hoping the one I got was a fluke. But overall it was tasty, and worth getting. ------------------------------------------------- My go-to order is a cubano and a guava cheese roll. So good!

I really wanted to try their food because of their reviews. So I walked in, sat a table and waited patiently there for someone to come welcome me and take my order. But to my disappointment I waited 25 minutes and still no waiter or waitress waited on me so I walked out to find another restaurant to eat. Mind you there was only about 8 people dining in. Maybe the food is good but their service is POOR!

This is the most authentic Cuban food you can find in The Woodlands area. They started across the street with a walk up window and now have a cafe with seating. We split a Cubano sandwich (yes, they are THAT large!) and had flan con dolce de leche which was out of this world. Wrapped up with a cortadito which was honestly one of the best coffees I have had, and this 58 year old has been drinking coffee since I was 8 years old. If you are looking for Cuban food, do yourself a favor and visit Havana House.

Finally, great, affordable and authentic home style Cuban food in the woodlands. Nice outdoor seating and simple, casual and good space/group eating inside. Food and service is great and we liked it so much that we ordered our Cuban Thanksgiving meal for 10 from them. Will definitely come back for our return home in-flight take out later this week

If you are looking for authentic Cuban food in North Houston, this is the place. Its not big, its not fancy, but its the real thing. Besides the main dishes, which are great, do not miss the batidos, flan and Cuban coffee.

Talk about a hidden gem. Once a month my cousin and I meet for lunch. This month it was my turn to chose out lunch spot. Normally we find a spot around Conroe or Montgomery. On A whim I used Google maps to look for a new spot around 1488 and Egypt Honea. Seeing Havana House Cuban Eatery I decided we would give it a try. For health reasons my cousin has gone vegan so he was delighted they have a vegitarian/vegan menu. Now Im a carnivor and love Cuban sandwiches. I was happily surprised to find their Cuban sandwich was the best I have ever eaten. My cousin devoured his vegetarian sandwich in no time at all. Both sandwiches were larger than expected. Did I say it was great? The service was excellent. We may have just found a new favorite lunch spot.

Ive been driving by this place lately and finally decided to stop in and give it a try. What a nice little restaurant. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly person behind the counter. I placed by order and within about 10 minutes, my order was ready. My food was good and I knew at that point, that Id be back for more. The food is fresh and tasty. Once I try more menu items, I shall return for an updated review.

Nice restaurant, good atmosphere but the food, not so good. Im Caribbean and its was far from the flavors I grew up with. The congri had a weird flavor and cooked with way to much garlic, the ropa vieja was sweet (its suppose to be savory) and the mojo was not a true mojo. It seems the owners have drifted away from the traditional recipe to maybe reach a different clientele? Either way if your looking for an authentic food experience I dont think you will be satisfied. Hope the owners read this post and make some adjustments to their recipes. Hope this helps.
