Their food is good. Today, I had the Eggs Benedict, and to top it off, a Mimosa. I had to pay for extra sauce. Now, it was sold, and in maybe September, theyre remodeling! Its a big old mess! Theyre going to change some dishes and get rid of others. Theyre changing the name. Its not going to be called The Breakfast Place anymore. Its going to be called the Blue Lion, I believe. It will be interesting to see what direction it takes.

If youre in the mood for a local dinner option come here! Parking: Can get busy and parking can be full at times

First time eating breakfast here and the service was good however the food was terrible. I had the country fried steak and it was very thin, tough and had the taste of old oil. The hash browns were good and eggs were fine. The bacon tasted like rubber and the water had a chlorine/metallic taste. They also added a $1.50 tech fee to the bill. There are so many better options in the Woodlands. In order to be competitive the food quality is essential.

Did not even eat. Very poor customer service. E we have gone for the last 10 years and it has always been excellent. Today we went in and ordered. I ordered the same thing I have ordered every time and was told by the waitress and the manager, they do not do it anymore because it is too much stress on the staff. I ordered breakfast tacos with chorizo, bacon and sausage. I was told they only allow one meat on tacos now, but I could order separate tacos and pay more money. Never heard of anything like that. Needless to say, we will never go back. Very sad ending to a tradition of ours. They will be out of business before you know it.

Stopped for breakfast, first visit. Food was terrible, ordered omelets, fake eggs, tasteless, tiny crumbles of bacon and sausage cooked into the omelet, my husband didn t get the sausage he ordered in his. Side of hollandaise was from a box mix, pretty gross. Coffee was burned, like it sat in the coffee pot burner too long. Fake cream packets, no real cream. We ate a few bites, asked for our check and left, driving up the road to a better place. If you love the Waffle House, you might like it here, but we eat healthy, so fake tastes pretty bad to us. Nice server and clean place.

This place is legit a hometown breakfast place. It has predominantly teenagers on the weekends and some pretty great servers. If you re expecting a brunch spot that has avocado toast and unique flavor pairings I m going to need you to chill and just take the diner food for diner food. It s great and honestly super consistent every time we go. We love Savannah there and when she left it was a little sad but we are super happy to see her again! I also want to take a moment to call out the Bussers there and speak their praises as they are on it! I hope I get the fellas name right (James) I think but he always looks so nice and has his hat on typically. That dude busts his tail cleaning up tables and refilling drinks and legit he makes me happier just seeing him. His smile is infectious and I see so many customers engaging with him regularly. We have only spoken once but he is such an awesome employee! But the food, the people and the chill atmosphere make this place just a good old diner to hit up for some good old breakfast. Pancakes, grits, French toast, steak and eggs. Legit a good old diner! Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options are available with omlettes Kid-friendliness: Bring your kids and legit no one will judge you. It is what it is. Wheelchair accessibility: Doors and space are ADA compliant and tables shift easily to adhere as well.

Very tasty food. All of the four dishes were quite well prepared. Coffee was surprisingly good and on the bold side, which is exactly what we all prefer. Prices were very reasonable especially considering how tasty the meals were. The only hiccup was the bacon which was order soft. It came out practically black and, in my opinion, inedible. Bottom line is that well gladly return and looking forward to our next visit.

today Thursday 28 the of September 2023 me and my 82 year old father eat breakfast at this once used to be good serviceable place... the waitress ( short Asian American lady) gave me and my father a very uncomfortable service, where if I did not know something she made me feel like an idiot and so on. I decided to still tip her after a total of 45 dollar expense and she did not like the tip that I gave her which was 3 dollars, She said out loud sir 45 dollar expense and you only tipped me 3 dollars your no good. I later went inside to ask for the manager and she looked at me and said I am the manager. In my opinion shes actually lucky I gave her tip

I was surprised to see a tech fee on our bill. The cashier said it was to cover the cost of their payment device. Two comments here. 100 customers x 20 days is $1360 per month at .68 cents for the tech fee. That doesn t ring true. I d suggest you allocate the real cost over the prices of your products. Your accountant should have recommended you do that as you would any indirect cost. The real cost to you for adding this fee will be the loss of customers who feel gouged already due to inflation and the greed that comes with it. The second comment has to do with tipping at the cashier station. I wish all of you in the restaurant business would lose this practice as well. It too affects the amount of the tip that your servers would otherwise receive. Nuff said.

Nice little local restaurant for breakfast. During the weekdays, its not crowded at all. So you can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. The menu doesnt have a lot of options but they have all the basics covered. Food was tasty and service was very fast. Friendly staffs. We loved the rooster decors placed everywhere. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside. The outside tables are not in enclosed perimeter, but the complex is pretty quite and the restaurant is at the corner of the complex.

Went for lunch and received an average meal for an above average price. After a long wait, the philly cheesesteak was a little overcooked and overseasoned, and the chicken & waffle was underwhelming. For the first time, the Breakfast Place is charging its patrons a technology fee to pay by credit card. This is ridiculous. No other restaurant in the area pulls this baloney. When we asked the Owner to take it off, he refused. We also learned that he is charging his servers 4% for any tips they get by credit card. So he charges his patrons for using their credit card and charges his servers again for any tip on that card. Also, don t ask for chocolate chips in your pancake, that is $2.95. Find a more reputable place to eat breakfast because this owner does not care.

As a customer who has dined at The Breakfast Place for years, it is disappointing to find out that they are charging servers and consumers credit card fees. By paying with a credit card, the customer receives a technology fee; which is not to be payed by the consumer, but by the business itself. The servers also have to split their tips by 2% that goes towards paying the busboys and waitstaffs hourly pay. If you have respect for the servers and have ethical morals, you will not dine here.

They are charging a Tech Fee to use a credit card. It s an outrageous amount the owner is charging for his new system . Flustered he said the credit card company charges the fee. No where has he posted this extra charge notice, and when asked about the fee he got defensive and walked off. One of his employees said that the owner is also taking 2% of the wait staff tips on credit cards and using that to pay his cooks, bus staff and the like for their hourly wage. The food is never very good and it s extremely dingy and dirty.

Review №74

The owner is charging a technology fee to customers who do not pay with cash. They are also pooling all tips & instead of paying support staff their hourly wage plus tips, the owner is paying the hourly wage from the pooled wait staff s tips per an employee. The owner is also charging wait staff a 2% fee if customers pay tips with a credit card. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT!!!

It was the 1st time here and I will never return. We ordered 3 chicken fried steaks and Ive NEVER, EVER seen them paper-thin. The meat was dry and over cooked. The thin batter had ZERO FLAVOR, and to add on top of the tasteless food, there were small bugs crawling on our seat, table and even the ketchup bottle we were given. Totally gross, but HEY to each their own. We are new to this area, but certainly will not return. Our waitress was cool, and it was hilarious that some staff members seemed appalled about us returning the trash we were served. Even our waitress was surprised when she saw the paper-thin chicken fried steak. Do better. Renovate.

Our waitress was barely visible after we ordered. A different one physically dropped off the plates on the table and took off before I could ask for anything more. When our waitress finally showed, I had asked for some Cholula and she did not come back until it was time to drop off the ticket. I got the Cholula by approaching the kids who were cleaning a table nearby as there was a bottle on that table.

This is the place we need for breakfast. Service is terrific , esp. the manager (sorry not to get her name before we left). She is so sweet and friendly. Food is tasty and cook perfectly. Definitely will come back every time we are in town.

We love to come here for breakfast on the weekend and sit outside when the weather permits. We always see people we know here, which makes it extra fun. Definitely recommend.

Made us wait forever to order and pay. Plastic bacon and noncompetitive pricing on drinks.
