I was going to buy two chairs .the ad said 14.99 but when I went to check out the chair was 24.99.the cashier said somebody put all the chairs in the wrong place. If it had been walmart I would gotten what the price said.so I will not shop academy any more.

My husband and I went to loom for tennis shoes for me. There was very limited stock on many of the shoes. All of the ones I liked were not in my size. I ended up ordering some on Amazon. Also the store was a little warm. The young lady that checked us out was very friendly and engaged with my husbands teasing. I dont like that they no longer give a military discount. My husband is a vet.

They had a buy one get one 50% off sale on backyard games so we tried to buy two spikeball nets. We were then told that discount doesn t apply to spikeball even though the sign was right above it. The cashier lady we were with was very kinda but the 3 other guys were very rude trying to say we were trying to bully her into giving us a discount. The other guy said no matter what don t give them a discount. The picture speaks for itself.

Used to be my go-to for everything outdoors, but theres been a change recently that I dont like at all. Hunting stuff, including firearms and accessories, seem to be an afterthought for them as its being pushed aside for more clothing and sports fishermen. Not to mention the new maze you have to navigate to get to a register. It still has some of the stuff I need, but the stock is dwindling. 3 stars for now. Used to be an easy 5.

I ordered a Pit Boss Titan from this store on 5/30/24. After 4 days of not hearing anything about it except the 1 text they sent say it was being built. I call a total of 34 times n let it ring until it disconnected me . No One answered. I finally got a text from them at 12:15 am n an email at the same time on the 6/5/24 saying they canceled my order because the item was out of stock. For me personally I will not be doing business at there Tyler TX Location.

I love academy sports. For every baseball need we have them Academy has it. They have wonderful prices and and fantastic customer service. I take my family here and everyone loves it. They have everything you need that has anything to do with the outdoors. We needed at plug for a yeti cooler and low and behold Academy had it in stock. If we had to order them it would of took days to get here but I got it same day because of Academy.

I love shopping at the academy but except for the rude checkout person, yesterday afternoon I went in and returned an item and as I walked in a lady told me to put it on the counter and go to the line and I was placed an order and I did so and when I got to the checkout I met another lady and I said I wanted to return it and she said I needed to line up and wait to return it. I said I was in line and waiting and that girl rudely asked me to line up again, she was not friendly at all and it was stupid and she even acted annoyed with me and served to the person behind me and was upset when I arrived and didnt want to deal with it for me and I think they need to train her well before letting her go to work

Tried to buy a few things for my AR and the manager with a beard wasnt very CSR friendly..I advised I wanted a magazine and 300 blackout ammo well he showed me mags and pointed towards ammo section and walked off. I then went to the bathroom and found him texting on his phone outside the bathrooms. I went back to the ammo section and decided to buy it at a local mom and pop shop down the road.

I went in to pick up something I bought online and went to the closest side of the customer service counter. They prompted me to stand in the insanely long register lines to pick up something I had already paid for. Thats idiotic and Im not going to do it. Your customer service counter has two sides, you usually check people out on the inside. Have people pick up online orders on the outside of it or set something else up. There is zero sense in making people go through checkout lines to pick up their stuff. I will happily just order from Amazon instead.
