Amazing patio, food, and service! Dorothy was the sweetest waitress with great recommendations. Our board was phenomenal - try the wagyu pastrami! The manager even allowed us to try a free beer sample - blue beer! Overall great night out, we will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience overall. We were sat quickly, and the service was prompt. They were understaffed tonight but made it work without any issues at all. The manager came to our table to explain the situation, offered condolences, and was extremely sympathetic to the situation we, as the customer, would experience. Even with the extra wait, we did not experience any serious issues or delays with our service. All of the food came at the correct temperature, was generously portioned compared to the price, and was absolutely delicious. I would have to say that my only concern with anything at all tonight had more to do with the menu. I am autistic (extremely literal), and the way the Board is explained on the menu is very inaccurate. The menu makes it seem as though you are spending 30 dollars on 3 things for the board. Because of this, I did not order a board for myself. My friend who was dining with us tonight did, however, order one. I was surprised to see how much actually comes on the board. It is almost a meal for two by itself!!! Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed as I would have 110% gotten a board had I known how awesome it would have been! All in all, the management effectively communicated with us, the servers were kind and professional, the food delicious, and the portions grand. Im definitely coming back to get a board of my own!

The hostess told us wed have 15 minute wait in their nearly empty restaurant. Ok. They added us to their text reservation system and we waited. Two hours later, still no table. We left after 45 minutes. Every other restaurant at Grandscape has customers spilling out of their doors while this cavernous hall was a ghost town. Zero stars. Do not recommend.

I thought the laughs were only going to be at the Deadpool and Wolverine movie, but my gf and I got out and walked to Barley and Board for a bite and drinks, and we were dying laughing. Laurie was Hilarious! Great great service, but we were laughing so hard I wasnt expecting that. But she wasnt the only good thing about this place; Danny / Tim, Collin, and Grant were all awesome! Great drink recommendations, the Mother Board was explained and presented so well. We will be back to try other stuff on the menu, but mostly the people there are so freaking wonderful, fun, and just awesome! I truly believe people make the place and Barley and Board at Grandscape has a phenomenal team!

The Half-Roasted Chicken was inedible. Gnarly tough chicken. Very little meat. Mostly bones and gristle. (You get more meat in 6 chicken nuggets at Chik-Fil-A.). About 4 tiny potatoes and a side of basically uncooked asparagus. Really awful. I still can t believe they brought that bowl out and set it down in front of me. I barely touched it.

This was me and my wifes 1st time eating here. WOW, is an understatement in regards to both, the Service and the Food. Daniel, our waiter, was on point in recommending the appetizer, as It was unbelievably good. His attention to detail, checking on us with tefills, etc was top notch..Thank you Daniel! And the food was, fresh, delicious and hot. We have been to a few restaurants where the food was half cold by the time wegot it...Not here, Daniel made sure we got it quickly! Out of a score rating from 1 to 10...10 being excellent service and food combo, i rate it a 42..Keep up the greT work Daniel and to the manager and cooks, PLLLEEEAAAZZZEEE dont change a thing. P.S, Give Daniel a raise. Thank you all so much. It was a pleasure and we do.plan on coming back. Bear.

Weve been to this place a few times and each time is just as good as the last. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Which means that even when its packed on a weekend we rarely, if ever, have a wait time. Staff are always friendly. Happy hour drink specials during the week are great - we recommend the Smash drink with rum and blueberries (pictured) and the b&b burger (pictured without cheese)

There were a lot of flies and gnats in the restaurant. The gnats were probably coming from the dead plants in the corner. My waiter picked up my glass by the rim to fill it up with water. I think overall, I just got a dirty vibe from the restaurant. If there are gnats flying around I can only imagine they re attracted to the fruit, cheese, and other foods they serve on the boards. When we asked our waiter for recommendations he said he hadn t tried much of the food I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was $14 and it was fine. I tried some of the other appetizers like the bleu cheese chips, it was all okay. I wouldn t return.

I celebrated my daughters birthday at grandscape this Saturday and we stopped by Barley and Board our server was great, but I don t believe i ll be returning. Since I saw something very uncomfortable there was a man I believe his name was Dave and he was talking a little too long to a younger girl that was a one of the servers and she looked well under age as well as watching him adjusting the collar of one of his other servers and you could tell she was uncomfortable. If you feel like this is how you think an establishment should be run making guests and your employees uncomfortable and hiring these types of individuals to be the face of your company I have no interest in supporting this. Thank you for the hospitality of the staff that took care of us, but as i said I will not be returning again due to this.

Visited Barley & Board for the first time on a Wednesday night with several friends. The restaurant is very spacious and right in the middle of Grandscape, which makes it a prime location. We started with drinks - the Expressway, which was AMAZING. Initially I was hesitant because I am not a big peanut butter person, but it was so light and absolutely delicious. Id come back solely for more of those! Food - we had the Nashville Hot Quail, Hummus Board, Grilled Steak Ensalada, and B&B Burger. Big fan of all of it! Admittedly, I did not try the Hummus, but my friends said it was really good. The only food we had differing opinions on were the fries. 3 out of 4 people loved the fries.Theyre super thin, shoestring fries. Personally, I ate a whole bowl on my own, but I could see how they might not be everyones cup of tea.

I was ripped off of 45 dollars after asking the waitress what is a popular recommendation and she recommended the most expensive nasty board meal. I will never return to this establishment! This is thievery to the highest order! I only ate 2 percent of the meal! It was too nasty to continue or pack

Its hard to rate this one. Not being from that area, I made a special trip to try the place out. The food was not as good as we expected. Especially for the cost. I got the turkey steak sandwich. Which was a BLT with a thick slice of some kind of slab of processed turkey loaf on toast. It was $15 for the simple sandwich! The art goat flatbread was small but reportedly good. I didnt try it. It was reasonably priced, I thought. The waitperson, Paul, was friendly and attentive. We never ran out of anything or had to ask for anything but didnt interrupt our meal either. We probably should have asked for recommendations, and maybe I could have avoided the disappointment of the turkey sandwich. I was expecting real turkey breast meat. I like the layout of the restaurant. The glass made for a nice view. The place was very clean, organized, and smelled good. Im not sure if I will try them again, though.

Barley and Board has an amazing menu with unique flavor combinations for the food and drinks. The service at the Grandscape location was excellent, especially from our server, Rowan. She made it fun and checked in with great timing. I would go back to sit in her section and get the wagyu sandwich again. Vegetarian options: The gnocchi is the best vegetarian option. Dietary restrictions: Everything is made to order, so it s easy to ask them to adjust for dietary restrictions. Wheelchair accessibility: Most of Grandscape is accessible.

Whoever was in charge of the music today was on fire. Maybe it s just the pop punk lover in me, but it was very very enjoyable. I ordered four things on my charcuterie board, thinking the portions would be small and I would need it. I was wrong! Three things on the board would have been enough. Not that I m complaining! Everything was great! My server was also my bartender. If you get Daniel, you re in for a treat! I ordered a burnt vanilla sugar old fashioned and the expressway. I m not normally a huge old fashioned fan, but it was just sweet enough to be perfect. The expressway, however, was right up my alley! Both were fantastic. I ended up having to order dessert to make sure I could drive myself home. The bread pudding is also a very good portion size. TLDR: great place for a date with a partner or yourself!

This was our first visit to this location, but we are regular guests of the Denton location. We came specifically for the sweet pig, angrier bird that is no longer on Dentons menu. It was totally worth the trip! This location feels bigger, brighter, and for us, now has the more appealing menu. We were there about 3p today on a Saturday. It wasn t too busy, and we were seated in a booth in the bar section. Our server was led a bartender. My partner ordered a beer flight to start. The pours were rather large for a flight so off to a great start! While they were initially out of his top choice for tasting, the bartender both brought him a substitute but also found another keg in the back so made up for it in two ways. We decided on the fried oyster mushrooms that aer served with a truffle mustard aioli for an appetizer. If this sounds good, it s because it is spectacular! The breading was not too heavy, it s not the corn meal grained kind of breading, it s more like a light onion ring breading. And the aioli mustard complimented the mushrooms well. The portion was huge! To the point we had enough to bring home for another snack! I ordered the pork tenderloin, which I ve had before, and have a hard time ordering anything else now because it s just so good. You get about 7 pieces of thick cut pork rubbed in coffee(?) but it s not overpowering. The flavors compliment each other nicely and the pork is tender. I don t eat a lot of pork anymore, but this dish is worth it. The pork is served on top of street corn and has a few fried onions on top. I literally ate every bite. It could ve easily been two meals, but it just tastes so good, I couldn t put my fork down. My partner ordered the dish he s been waiting for four years to eat again lol sweet pig, angrier bird. It s served on a wooden cutting board as two fried quails and a half rack of ribs. The sweet and spicy compliment each other nicely. He brought half of it home , and still left full. When I asked him how he would describe the meal, his exact words were freakin awesome - followed by at least 5 more minutes of words to convince you that this is the only dish you should order. Our server was attentive, the food was wonderful, the atmosphere was pleasant, and we loved the 90s music they were playing. We will definitely be back to try something new and stick with old favorites! Thank you for a wonderful experience on a hot saturday afternoon.

Food was good. But our server delivered 2 exactly same breakfast menu. If she misunderstood our orders, at least the egg type should have been different. Cause I ordered sunny side up and my friend ordered scramble eggs. I got what I wanted finally but I had to wait while my friend had her brunch. After that, my friend paid including 20% tips but I found they double charged. The manager just cancelled the one menu but I requested to cancel whole transaction because our tips came from the whole amount. But for some reason he said he couldnt cancel and suggested some cash out of his pocket. We didnt want to make a trouble and just went out. But as Im a local resident and visited more than 3 times, its not a first time to receive this kimd of service without any apologizes from the server. I wont visit this place again.

Ordered the Quail in the small plates and the bread pudding. My friend had the tomato soup and grilled cheese. Save your money and eat elsewhere!!! Got a reservation for 5 and sat at a round table for 10, had to yell across it. Waiter came and took our drink order 10+ minutes after sitting down and completely forgot to ask multiple people in our party, asked for limes with a drink from the bar came back with lemons. Now for the truly poor part, $30 steak special for a NY Strip 7 bites of an overcooked chunk of shoe leather, I had the $29 Ribs and Quaill. The ribs were so over cooked I d be embarrassed to even admit to doing it let alone serving it as the second highest priced menu item. The entire experience was some of the worst dining experience I ve ever had to deal with and all this was on Valentine s Day as well. Save you and your friends from a terrible experience.

Ladies and Gentlemen, if you are ever having a bad day, need a place to rest your worries, come on down to Barley and Board for the king of all sandwiches. A $16 Wagyu Pastrami sandwich with chips. Polish it off with one of the amazing cocktails, whiskeys, or locally owned brews. Dont forget to say hi to a few of the staff like Sherri the house manager,, Daniel the bartender, and the man, the myth, the legend, Lonnie head chef of this what I would call your new Cheers, where everybody knows your name. To say this place is a hidden gem would be an understatement. From the southern hospitality, food choices, atmosphere, and libations alone will make you and your guests already planning the next visit. For those with little ones who are looking to be out on their own adventure at Grandscape, consider this a prime spot. Easy walking distance to the local attractions at grands cape. 4 doors down from Mario Andrettis Go Karts, right across from the Cinema and Ferris wheel. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegan options as well Parking: Short walk from parking to restaurant, you have covered and uncovered which is all free, valet parking is priced. They weren t that busy at all but bar service was slow and our appetizer took 20+ min to come. (Hummus) They had a $13 holiday old fashioned but I simply wanted a regular old fashioned. I asked for a regular old fashioned with Woodford . Charged me $21 for a double woodford lol, like really? Dude gave me a perfectly normal old fashioned but it definitely wasn t a double. Kind of annoying.

We just shared a Cuban sandwich and a charcuterie with two cheese and one sliced meat with lots of nuts, fruits, and spicy cucumbers at Barley and Board at Grandscape near Nebraska Furniture in Lewisville, Texas. Im age 72 and this was maybe the best meal Ive ever eaten. It was so amazing that I was thanking gods I dont even worship. The sandwich and chips were extra spicy; my wife said she would be retaining Boston Harbor for a few days. But it was incredibly good! Its a cool yet unpretentious place near the ferris wheel.

Sought out a new restaurant to try for lunch today and this place did not disappoint. Walked right in the door and was greeted warmly by Shirley the manager. Was seated by her personally, with honoring my request for an outdoor patio table. Promptly taken care of by a very enthusiastic and bubbly Bailey. Her kind demeanor and knowledge of the menu will help make finding a dish much easier. She recommended the Al Pastor (roughly $13) appetizer and to pair it with a lighter beer. Bailey was even so kind enough to let me try out 2 of the beers; went with the Guava lager ($5 to $6 for a pint) (all beers on their list are from local breweries). A perfect pairing with the dish, not to mention the dish itself for the price was steal. The pork perfectly seasoned, adding in some lime crema, and jalapeno relish. Perfect start to the day. For those looking for something bigger ask Bailey about their sandwiches, her knowledge is unparalleled. I also want to thank Daniel for taking care of me while Bailey was busy tending to the bar. His wealth of knowledge on burgers and sandwiches perfectly complimented some future ordering suggestions on my next visit. Thank you again to the Barley and Board team for taking care of me today; this is a place I will never forget. Update 9/29/23: The hospitality at this location is still top tier more than ever. Thank you to Dylan as my main server, Bailey attending, and for her remembering me from over a month ago. Of course, the lovely General Manager Cheri, who ensures all her patrons are having an exquisite time with a Midwestern hospitality that is world renowned. Dylan, what can I say other than your wisdom, kindness, and ability to read my mind for food and beer pairings is unquestionable. While I wasnt looking for a sandwich today, you sold me on the Turkey Steak sandwich with two different beer pairings: the Texican from a local brewery in Carrolton, TX. Then a 2nd knockout blow with the Yellowstone tv show inspired 6666 Amber Bock out of Guthrie, TX which hit the spot. Thank you for the after-lunch pairing of 3 Nations Cozy Bavarian beer also out of Carrolton, TX, which has a smoother taste than a normal darker beer. For those who know, this is a hidden little gem in the Colony, to the uninitiated, youre welcome for the subtle push to try this place out. Youll thank me later, I guarantee it. Vegetarian options: I saw a few options, but the tomato soup and grilled cheese are the only ones I remember, not a vegetarian myself. Parking: The closest parking lot for this restaurant is next to the giant Grandscape Wheel. This is a free parking lot and free parking garage. Restaurant is right across from the movie theater. Wheelchair accessibility: easy access for wheelchairs, no stairs.

EDIT 8/2023 - Big changes to the menu, including much more limited charcuterie options (only 3 cheeses on the menu, all very vanilla). Portion sizes for cheese were smaller, no more chocolate chips on big boards, and quality of side items has gone down. I hate to say it, but the economy is HARD on restaurants and it s impacting B&B. I want to keep coming back but will need to see quality return before I m a regular again - otherwise I can make a better charcuterie board at home :/ Still have incredible service, great atmosphere ORIGINAL REVIEW: I ve become a regular! Love this place. Best wait staff I ve ever encountered, plus incredible happy hour drinks ($5 cocktails plus wine specials from 4-6 Monday through Friday!) I don t usually give this low of a review but I have to do it this time. Our first visit to B&B was on Father s Day 2023 and it was not good. Drinks were not made well, food was bland, and service was just ok. But given it is somewhat new, we gave it another try for a ladies birthday celebration, group of 6. They put us at such a huge round table (well, octagon), that we could talk to the 3 people across from us. Passing our appetizer and charcuterie boards was cumbersome. They need a lazy Susan in the middle of this table. We sent several drinks back to the bar to be correctly, come to find out there was a trainee bartender (they said) who was back there with no supervision. We ordered a simple (expensive) charcuterie board that came out a mess! The meat looked old and the cheese types and cuts were gross. Three of us ordered the very simple roasted half chicken dinner. We received two chicken legs in a bowl with some kind of water at (they called it broth) at the bottom of the bowl with 8 tiny roasted potatoes sitting in this Luke warm water, and let s not forget the very undercooked fresh green beans. We had to ask for steak knives to cut our green beans (they give us butter knives that could not cut one thing). Not one thing in this bowl had any flavor. Our birthday desserts were ok but our trio cookies were burnt, break putting was ok I guess. This restaurant will not last! The owner (hopefully, he s not the chef with an ego), needs to take responsibility for his establishment and take some serious action. I hate to see this go down, but it s not working!!!!! Sorry!!

Great atmosphere, food and fresh drinks. From the moment we stepped into Barley & Board at Grandscape, we knew we were in for a treat. He was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our evening flowed seamlessly. His recommendations were spot on, and his knowledge of the menu was impressive. A standout dish for us was the Blue Cheese Chips. The harmonious blend of the rich blue cheese with the crispiness of the chips was nothing short of culinary magic. The food and the charcuterie boards are seriously out of this world. These are the reasons I have become a repeat customer at B&B. The service on my half a dozen visits here has been hit or miss. On some occasions, the server was attentive and present, however on other visits the service was extremely lacking with an extremely late greet time and limited/late table touches (especially by management, I dont think in my 6+ times coming here I have ever had my table touched by a manager). This is easily a restaurant where I can and have spent $100+ per guest happily, but more than half of my visits the server or bartender only talks to us about every 20 minutes. Once the most attentive staff left; a bartender who took time off for maternal leave (I cant remember her name), and my favorite server Emma (who went to work for windmills); I have rarely returned. During my few visits since their abscence, I make sure to enjoy the Al Pastor (which is out of this world delicious) and some wagyu pastrami. I definitely recommend trying this place once to enjoy the food, and if your service is good come back and request that bartender/server. Hopefully they can improve their service so that this can become a great staple of The Colony/Grandscape

This place did not disappoint! The atmosphere, service, and food were top-notch. We had the blue cheese chips, the art goat flatbread, and the Cuban sandwich with the Lacey salad. They are the perfect in between and taste heavenly. I loved the flatbread that we got, and will definitely be dreaming about that tonight. Our server Dana made excellent suggestions and was very friendly and kind. The manager, Antonio, checked in on our table and when we had one small problem he corrected it immediately. He was very kind and attentive as well! We will definitely be back, and we will definitely tell all our friends to come try it. I added one picture of my to-go box, with a little of the Art Goat flatbread pizza I got.

Unfortunately it was not a great Mother s Day experience today. What started out great with our lovely server Dayna ended with a not-so-nice comment by a male server to the next table who commented next time if you want to bring your dog here, he s got to be better trained . I agree we were seated to another table with a dog and both dogs were yappy and then a patron came to both tables commenting our dogs are annoying. But to have that male server adding salt to injury with his comment was pretty unnecessary.
