Not sure if it s the season or not. Came in early morning before sunrise for some bait. There was no live shrimp and it was $5.99lb for dead. The shrimp were so damn tiny. If you can get bait elsewhere do it. And again maybe it s the season or time of day but it was a waste.

I have been to Boyds One Stop bait Shop the last four times and every time the bait is trash and rotten already. Used to be a really good place to get good quality bait now its just whatever they have on the table is trash shrimp mullet squid all trash. I guess I need to find a new bait shop

We went on Sat around lunch time and got a 10 lb sack of cooked crawfish, they packed them up nice for us and they were so delicious and were big ones! Also got a catfish basket and stuffed shrimp from theyre restaurant next door and everything was on point! Will be back every time Im in the area!

My wife called this place to ask for both pricing and how many pounds per sack they have available. You know EXTREMELY COMMON questions when purchasing crawfish?! She was answered by a rude person whos answers were sacks in low 30 pounds and for her to do the math. Im not sure what this rude persons problem was but I guarantee she wont have that same attitude if we were there in person. They just lost our business for life. Do not recommend these rude a$$ people.

FYI if you plan on buying cooked crawfish from Boyds theyve knowingly weighing the bags to 2 lbs even though they claim to be 3lbs. You have to buy in 3lb increments. My husband got the bags home today and we noticed the bags were smaller so we weighed it on our food scale and it was only 2 lbs. He went back up there where the manager says he was told by the owner to weigh them out like that. Basically the owner is ripping customers off. Im sure they have plenty of customers to sustain so us not buying from them again wont matter but just so others know. They know what theyre doing.

The food was good but the bait shop, is a no go. First time coming to Texas City decided to grab a bite to eat. Boyd s Cajun food was great! Super fresh seafood at a reasonable price. We stop next door to their bait shop. Store is small but have the necessities. Only reason why I gave 1 star is the cashier customer service. Lady was rude, feels like she didn t want to be at work. We said thank you and she didn t respond you re welcome or anything. She said looked and assist the next customer. Very very very rude. Next time go the bait shop across the street!!!! Much better service. Only come for the food!

Boyds One Stop in Texas City,Texas. The worst Cooked Crawfish Ive had in years. Its not the first time I have been disappointed with my crawfrish from this place either. I keep hoping they will get better, but they dont...theyve just gotten worse and the price has gone up. I ordered 13 pounds of Crawfish, Every. Single. One. Was OVERCOOKED. They were dry, and brittle, and you had to peel the Whole shell off otherwise it would just fall apart to mush. You couldnt even pinch the tail, because it would just sqeeze right off. They were not purged at all, and there were a bunch already dead before they cooked them. Ive never left a review like this for anyone, but I paid 85 dollars...And the whole family was disappointed. The kids said,They were better at the Chinese Buffet! lol so theres a review for ya!

Very disappointed in the crawfish. Have bought them here for years and they are always very good. Reserved 3 sacks of the premium thinking I would at least a little over 100 pounds since the sacks are always 35-38 pounds. Show up and get 3 bags that all weigh 25 pounds. Thats over 30 pounds short of what I was wanting. Had to stop somewhere else and buy more. As many years as I have been cooking crawfish I have never seen 25 pound bags.

Why not offer a opportunity for regular customers to edit there crawfish reservations online. With modern technology theres got to be a option for someone to edit a few days in advance to change or even cancel there reservation without having to call and get permission from a manager. Unfortunately reserved/received a 36lb sack on 3/11/23 just to have 11lbs dead out of 36lbs sack. Not the quality experience expected from a major distributor. Very unfortunate as it has been the most dead ever received from a sack from any distributor in the clear lake area so far. Fyi make sure to get receipt, pictures of dead amounts and email same day to have them account for their mistake in packaging/storing sacks or they will receive no accountability and you will receive no compensation.

Crawfish was decent. Prices are pretty good. It would ve been nice to have somewhere to eat and have sinks nearby because the wet towels they provide don t do any justice. We had gotten a 5lb combo of crawfish and most of it was crawfish claws and plants like if they had gave us the bottom of the batch. Most crawfish were dead as well. Good flavor though. Also , they should provide a crawfish dip sauce and not the voodoo sauce because my husband was really disappointed about that.

One stop really describes this place. Live Bait, dead bait, tackle, gear, poles, lines, ice. If you need it for a day of fishing, they got it. And if youre hungry or thirsty, they got that covered. Delicious burgers, crawfish, fresh catch, or grab an iced tea and a candy bar, its all here. Come sit by the water and enjoy a seafood feast. We even got our oxygen tank filled. I reserved a sack for this past Saturday, drove from North Spring to Texas city to support and pick up a sack just to be given a 24 lb sack (in which) at least 2 lbs were dead... and was told thats all we have left. Like maam its 8:40 am and Im a paid reservation should not have been less than 30 lbs sack..call and let people know that you never had much to begin with and give them that option of refund verses being disappointed... @captin Sin crawfish had our backs and was able to deliver, making my planned crawfish boil a success

Used these guys for live crawfish for years. This morning we had a 10:00 reservation, we get there at 9:50 to pick up and the crawfish has already been given away. I bought three pounds of the fresh shrimp. The woman never smiled and actually rolled her eyes when I asked for ice to pack the shrimp. I was there last weekend and we bought a quart of live shrimp/2 dozen live croaker. For the 3rd time now half the shrimp was dead and at least 6 croaker were as well. I would not leave a review like this if it was a single time but it has now been 3 times in the 3 times ive been there. 24 hour seafood is a LIE!!!! Got there at 9:10 pm. Just wanted 6to 7 pounds of shrimp. They had plenty, you could see it all in the back. I asked if I could buy some table shrimp. Boiled crawfish were priced very affordably and very tasty. Not too salty and spicy. Its sold in 5 lbs bags. We just froze some bags and put it in the oven for later. No issues whatsoever. We also bought live crawfish. Good online RSVP system, just make sure to read everything/directions. The cheapest bag (small/medium mix) is very small. This is like the all-you-can-eat cheapo size. Field run and other sizes are pretty good. I would get Field run and preferred next time. Free ice available upon request. Drive up, stay in your car, and theyll load everything in your cooler (you can get out of the car to help load).

Great price but the crawfish was covered in mud maybe if they can pre wash them before sacks them up would help.

$170 of food and half wasnt edible! Know its the end of the season, but bugs were very small, and they were overcooked and falling apart! 3 weeks ago they were great, when I was just feeding me and the wife. Today the whole family was here, and the quality was bad! Will definitely be cooking my own next time!

50% of crawfish are pinky size. Crawfish is fresh; about 10 dead from 10 lbs. Flavor decent, cooking time right on the spot.
