About the Company

The 2,314-acre Texas City Prairie Preserve has become an important demonstration site for native prairie restoration and more, showcasing native plants such as big and little bluestem, gulf cordgrass and rare coastal gayfeather. Have tried to visit several times! Gate is closed and no one answers the phone. Is it not open to the public? See several cars there so apparently someone is there. Please let me know know if it s open to the public and if so what are the hours of operation

This is a beautiful place, however this could be better kept if they got the funding, but this is Texas and the environment isnt taken care of that well for economic reasons.. When I volunteered there, progress was slower than it should have been. I had some ideas to better the place and get things done, but they want to run it the way they want to...Whatever, I hope it all works out. Best of luck to Aaron, the workers, and the TNC!
