This place was absolutely amazing I could go on and on about why this place is going to be my first and only choice for pizza. First off, amazing pizza. I challenge anyone to go in to learn the history of the place (explained on the menu) and not want to order a large pizza. I was so pleased with this place that I almost got a glass of wine at lunch. If you are into investing in a local business is a must. Dont give your money to big pizza chains when you have authentic local pizza right in your backyard! Kid-friendliness: Got High chairs and booster seats for the little ones

I went to Grandpa Rosario s for my Birthday and I loved everything about this place!!!!! My family, my aunts and uncles all joined me for the best Birthday dinner I ever had. This is not an understatement by any means about the food. All the ingredients used were fresh, they actually make the pizza dough fresh every day. The tomato basil soup was out of this world!! The garlic bread , veal parmigiana was delicious. I loved the fact that the manager came by several times to check on my family. She was awesome. Shout out to our waitress Raina who was so sweet to all of us and went the extra mile to make sure my Birthday dinner was great. She even put my cake in the frig to keep it cool until we were ready for it. I can t for get the pizza maker, he knocked it out of the park as well. I definitely recommend you go try for yourself, you won t be disappointed. Thanks Grandpa Rosario s you made my birthday one to remember. The Italian dishes were made with lots of salt and a family member couldnt eat the eggplant dish due to being too salty. I tasted it that part was true. I had the lasagna and chicken parmesan combo it looked like a childs portion and it was very salty as well. My guest had the same dish his portion was much larger very inconsistent with the portions. Pizzas are pretty good. The chicken parmesan was over cooked and dried out and very small with my order.The waitress did a great job for us her name was Alex. Not my place for lasagna. I see good reviews but for us it was a 3.

I went to have dinner with my 2 sisters and there husbands and our mother was there too. 1st we order our drinks everyone was able to get any kind of drink they want but me. My choice was only water or diet RC soda no other diet soda choices. The was okay but the best. I got lasagna/ chicken combo and my chicken was overly cook on the outer part. Lasagna was not in layer more flat. My mother had eggplant parmigiana and her eggplant was very very salty. We did if the cook come over she didn t want to come. I guess she didn t want to know her cooking method was very horrible. People you can go and get your experience out of it. Just my family and I was not happy camper.

Very disappointed with my last visit, I have been going to this local pizza place for years until they sold( dont be fooled by the fresh remodel) I ordered the Alfredo which Ive had there before and it was watery like soup with no flavor when I asked my nice waitress to have the cook remake it they proceeded to reheat and add cheese and brought it back out. They removed it from my bill but it still was the furthest thing from edible. will not be back

I actually called in an order for a pizza and went to go pick it up. But the inside is all redone and new.. it looks clean and roomy! The girls in the front were nice I had to wait a couple of minutes for my pizza, but I was a little bit early. I didnt mind because it came straight out of the oven into my box and when I got it home it was still piping hot.. if you havent been there in a while like me before tonight, you really need to go and give it another shot!!!

Grandpa Rosario s pizza and pasta. I don t what to say other than PERFECT!!! The staff was attentive as soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted and helped. The environment was peaceful family friendly. I d order 2 large pepperoni pizza and fried mozzarella sticks. Both pizza were cooked to the most crispy crust that complemented the pizza very well. Dining room is lovely. I have been ordering the chicken piccata for years, even at this restaurant. However, on my visit Saturday night it was like chicken noodle soup. It was swimming in a liquid that tasted like Italian dressing. I was told it was lemon and butter, but it was not. A renovated dining room does not replace good food. I mentioned to the waitress twice that the dish was inedible and was not offered an adjustment to our bill. I was hopeful to try this restaurant again now that its in the hands of papa Rosario. Even the calamari was not fresh, frozen and heated up. Extremely disappointed. The two stars are for the updated dining room only. Perhaps pizza is the only thing a person should order at this establishment.

It was Amazing before they reopened it had let itself Go but now Im so happy to tell everyone how great it is. The experience was wonderful we took all 4 of our kids age 1,4,10,11 and the service was lovely. They were very family oriented and cared about how everything was going, basically they were on point with everything .I do hope everyone has a chance to go and have such good food with a loving atmosphere. Parking: Not a huge parking lot but doable no complaints here. Kid-friendliness: They have a good kid menu and gave all my kids their drinks in togo cups which was great cause no spills .

We had a great experience at Grandpa Rosario s. We were a group of 16 people celebrating 3 birthdays and the service was wonderful! Since we were all family we were tasting each other s dishes and everything was so good! Being a full blooded Sicilian, I am always picky and critical of different restaurants sauces. I never order any type of red sauce because they never meet my standards. But the marinara sauce at Grandpa Rosario s is delicious! Very close to the way I make mine. Idk where to began... The margarita pizza was way under done.. raw dough near the Crust. The portions sizes were odd. I ordered a kids spaghetti and an adult spaghetti both looked like the same portions. The mushrooms tasted like seafood & the caprese had no flavor....balsalmic tasted like water . Only good thing was the spaghetti Sauce it was delicious. So a kids spaghetti, adults spaghetti, margarita pizza, pineapple pizza, pepperoni pizza, caprese, & mushrooms will run you 100$ IMO...NOT WORTH IT.

We were seated and drink order taken without any issues. Went down hill from there. Our waitress was very distracted the entire meal, they were busy but her distraction went beyond that, our appetizer did not come out correctly made. I never got my salad that was supposed to come with my meal, I was even asked what dressing for it I wanted during my order. I had to ask three times to get a refill on my tea. Had to ask twice for the ticket. The food we did get tasted good but the service fell very below par, Im sorry but I wont be back again.

Boyfriend decided to bring me on a lunch date and glad he brought me here... I LOVE ITALIAN .. Loved the atmosphere..Italian Music very Relaxing made me feel at home!! When placing my order I asked for a side of marinara sauce. I was told I dont think we can do that even though I offered to pay, I was told no?? At this point, I really shouldnt have placed my order; however, since I saw some good reviews on Facebook and thought the person who took my ordered sounded young, I went ahead and placed the order. Im giving a 3 star cause the food was actually REALLY good but the service was terrible. I think our waitress was hungover. After our food arrived she never came back to check on us. There were only a few tables and many servers but no one ever offered a refill until I flagged someone down. I told one person I needed boxes and they never came back. Ever. Finally our waitress arrived after she saw me staring at her so I asked for boxes and our check cause we were so over it. The straw that broke the camels back was when I went to pay I told the cashier I was going to pay half on card, half cash. We both repeated it twice. Then he proceeded to charged the whole amount on the card. Point of the story: Pack your patience and be very vocal about what you need when you have someones attention.

Had take out great food. The restaurant has a far more improved interior than it did when it was Rosarios. They had more customers than I had seen in years. Only thing I dont care for is the large is now a 14 inch when it used to be a 16 inch though it is understandable on the business side of things.

Worst experience ever . I ordered a build your own pizza and mushrooms at 10 minutes till 6 on 5/3/22 . Finally at 7:30 I called to check on my order . The first employee couldn t even find or confirm that I even ordered . She stated that they stopped taking orders for delivery in fifteen minutes . I then had to explain to her that I ordered at 5:50 because she obviously didn t know the difference of 10 till . So I asked to speak to a manager . She finally confirmed my order and just hung up on me . When the pizza and mushrooms finally arrived at 10 till 8 or 7:50 . There was no extra cheese and it had very little of the toppings that I wanted . Not to mention that the mushrooms were about the size of a bottle cap from a 20 oz drink .

I know they just opened up but we waited for 20 mins and no waitress came to our table to take our order. They walked by, looked at us and chatted with other customers instead of taking care of customers waiting. I would not recommend this place especially if you have small children that get impatient.

We went there this evening for dinner. My wife ordered deep dish pizza (which was thick crust but not deep dish) and I ordered the Chicken Parm/Lasagna combo. It took 66 minutes to get my entree. My wife received her dinner and boxed her leftovers before I even got.my salad. The waitress was apologetic, but a manager never visited our table or spoke to me while checking out. So what did I get for the inconvenience? A free meal for.me? Nope. They took our sodas off the ticket. This was shameful, and if I were Rosario, who was there tonight, I would be hiding my face. The food was good, but not 66 minutes of wait time worth it and 40 minutes to get a salad.

I stopped in at 8:50pm to get a to go menu. The woman at the register said no because they were running low but told me to take a picture. I told her that we were newer to Texas City and wanted to see what they were about. She didnt respond. I then asked if I could order a couple of desserts to bring my wife. She told me no because they close at 9 and its almost 9! Thats definitely not the way to earn business. I wasnt dining in our asking for anything you have to cook. It was a cold desert. Thats too bad. I work too hard to be pushed out. I guess youre making all the money you can stand! My family of 8 hear you loud and clear but thats your loss. We have 6 teenagers and enjoy trying new places and frequenting our favorites. I run a $30 million dollar business and we close the doors five minutes after the posted closing time just in case your time is slightly off from ours. But we like customer service! You should change your hours to 8:50pm.

Unfortunately I cant give Zero stars. Ordered a pizza at 7:45 p. for delivery. I then recieved a confirmation that they were working on my pizza and to except it about 8:40 pm. 8:21 they send me a message saying they are closing and thus cancelling my order. Hours say they are open till ten.

I dont usually give bad reviews and Im not giving one now however , my wife and I wanted something different last evening . It was the 2nd of April 2021 cool evening after some on off rain and we didnt want to go anywhere so we decided to call Rosarios for some lasagna and bread sticks , so that we did . We called in at 6:50 pm and ordered the momma Lindas lasagna and an 8 piece order of bread sticks and had decided on the canolli . I didnt get the young ladies name but we paid with my wifes card and they told us it would be between an hour and a half and 2 hours . Ok we said and hung up., Mrs Norma and I did some things around the place and decided to walk the dog around the time our meal was to be showing . We walk our furry family member and look at the time and no delivery driver . So we figure we would call to see if we did something wrong and get no answer . Only a recording telling the mailbox is full goodby . We call again same result . Wanted another hour and decided we werent getting our meal . We snacked on some things had a beer and went to bed . I will update tomorrow .. Ok it is now 6:10 pm April 3 rd and we call Rosarios to see what happened . Another busy but kind young lady answered the phone after calling 3 times and hearing the same hang- up recording from the previous evening . Discouraged , I introduce myself and explane what had occured the evening before and the pleasant young lady promptly handled our problem I asked her name she said Addison and meaningfully hung up on me .. so we wait to see . That is what we are doing ,now 30 minutes later . We are going to walk our furry family member now and wait for another delivery person to show .. will let you know the out come....thanks for reading ... You will have to tune in later for the second instalment of this developing story ... Hello everyone I must apoligise for the delay in the 2nd instalment on the Rosarios saga. Mrs Norma and I have been extremely busy with purchasing our new chevrolet Tahoe the passing of my brother . Anyhow, we are back and trying to catch up on all we had going earlier this month . We left off on the evening of the third . After we walked our faithful companion Conagher my phone rang , It was a delivery driver for Rosarios asking directions . I explained the way and ended the call a few minutes later , up pulls a beautiful pearl white BMW sedan . As we looked on my bewilderment got the best of me and out of my mouth came . Honey , we need to start delivering pizza and Ravioli for Rosarios . I let him in the driveway and to my surprise , the driver was the owner himself . Yes the owner of the restaurant was delivering this night . I greeted him , he introduced himself . Of course I have to ask , what happened as he was making noise about his car . I soon figured out he had spilled some of the lasagna on his passenger seat and floor of his shiney Beamer . He then explained to me and gave his apoligise for the previous evening and explained he was indeed going to be doing some house cleaning with some of his staff . Not because he had to deliver . But because his underlings were not very subordinate . I thanked him and off he went into the early evening darkness . So there you have the 2nd and final deposit of our Rosarios debacle . It was a wonderful meal . I would still recommend Rosarios to everyone. After all , you cant always control people . For I have learned over the years . Just let people do what they want . It isnt your job to worry about what other people do even if it is wrong or right because both of them words are simply opinions .. thanks for reading . Enjoy everyone ..

WORST PIZZA PLACE ! I recently moved in the area wanted to order some pizza so i ordered online . About 20 mins into the order time i recieved a text saying they were too busy to do my order? I thought I would try and give this place a try last night. I called in and ordered a meatball sandwich. The young lady who answered seemed to maybe be training and that was ok I understand everybody has to have a training period. Then I went to the restaurant to pick up my food and all I can say is that they had the worse potty mouths and I cuss a lot myself so Im just saying. I dont do it at work and certainly not in front of any customers. They were effing this and effing that, so I pay for my food and go home. The sandwich was not great I ate one meatball then they also give you a serving of I guess, red or new potatoes that are soggy and oily with marinara sauce? Anyway...not going back again.

Called initially at 5:40 P.M. was told to hold. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes I hung up and called at 5:54. Informed the young lady that I sat on hold for that long and whatever, I let it go and placed my order for pick up. I was informed the wait time was 45 minutes. I arrived at about 6:45 and the lady told me it would be a couple more minutes. At about 7:10 I decided to get up and ask how much longer it would be, I was informed my pizza was about to go in the oven. At that point I couldn t take it anymore and asked for my money back. I love y all s pizza, it s freaking awesome, but the service tonight left such a bad taste in my mouth I don t know if I could come back. Guess I ll have to drive to Santa Fe for Lorenzo s if I want real pizza from here on out.

The couple times visited dine-in no customers there but us inside to eat, was weird, but was peaceful and great food, temperature of food was great, and the cheese pizza OMG.....loved it! All entrees we tried thus far, no complaints, and all were friendly each visit, they also have a fresh salad bar, no complaints, restaurant was well clean with dem lighting inside. The location is pushed back a bit behind other buildings in a small strip center so we never knew it existed until we wanted to try something new, and glad we did, they also deliver during this pandemic time.
