The city refuses to work on infrastructure, such as roads. Apparently we have money to gentrify an area of town that nobody goes to. But we dont have money to fix roads. Our city officials are participating in economic discrimination. They do this by only repairing roads and things of that sort in upper class neighborhoods. The roads in poor neighborhoods never get tended to causing the poor to spend more money on vehicle repair and things of that sort so we cant dig ourselves out of a hole. The garbage company that the city uses is lazy and ineffective. Our property taxes have increased dramatically but if you search the taxes for some of our city leadership you will find obvious bias in the amount they are charged. I thought we were corrupt under the Doyles but it is nothing compared to now. The homeless population of this town is increasing dramatically and most of them are camping at our kids schools or on private property. On a personal note the city has disappointed me greatly and I feel it is no longer safe or beneficial for my family to live in this town.

We went from an all American city to the most corrupt city. The city officials are trash from the top to the bottom. When you own a piece of commercial property since 93 and pay taxes on that land now texas city change the zoning and now I cant use my own building no more SMH its a dam shame what this town has came to stay away from texas city texas

Your tax dollars being used poorly is the motto of this city hall. With no one in line, the water department makes you wait for 5-10 mins because they are busy... Probably on social media. Also, the officer at the front desk here thinks he is above the law. Good riddance... Thank God Im leaving this city.

So what? Are the employees here going to give me their addresses so my child can bathe and use the restroom? Because they sure dont seem to care with their oh theres a work order bull.

The Texas City Water Department is a joke. The last 2 months they have sent me bills for over $111. I have no pool, no outside spickets, 1 bathroom. It is just myself and my daughter. I have lived at this property for 3 years with a bill never going over $50. I have had 3 separate plumbers check and there is no leak. I have been fighting with them for weeks and have gotten no where. They refuse to admit that the meter might be broken. All I want is for them to test the meter and they want me to pay $100 for them to check the meter. I am greatly disappointed in them.

Texas is the second largest state in USA, with big large desert coverage in all Texas, peoples can riding house in the dersart. The most important thing that made me love Texas is, Texas is very wild in some palace, if you have interested in discover something or taking the hard life this is the change for you. One more thing that I like about Texas is about food, Texas has interesting food mix from Mexico I think. From that we have chips with salad, hotdog with Texas taste anything is wonderful.
