I don t recommend having your wedding here. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous but the management and staff are disorganized. They don t even include taking the trash out. As a bride you dream about this day and spend so Much money to make it perfect. To start with, our rehearsal was moved from the night before our wedding to the Thursday before our wedding a few months before our wedding. The day of rehearsals I received a call 2 hours (2:30)before our rehearsals were scheduled to start (4:30-5:30) to see if we could come earlier that day. I had people coming from out of town to make it to rehearsals so there was no way that would work. Maybe if they would ve called a few weeks prior to give everyone enough notice to reschedule. Not to mention the only reason we scheduled it that way was because there was rehearsals for the wedding the night before us from 3:30-4:30. They would ve had us all rehearsing at the same time. Very disorganized and inconsiderate. Not to mention early wedding planning was difficult when it took weeks to get an email back from anyone. For the amount of money spent on this venue, you would think they could at least take out the trash. The bride should not be taking trash out to the dumpster that was overflowing already. I understand that this is their policy but it is not mentioned to you when you touring. Just tucked into their contract along with other insane rules. They also don t tell you that you can t even enjoy a mimosa while getting ready. I ve never known of any venue to not allow this. This is also stated in the contract but not mentioned upon touring as it should be. Be prepared and bring your own toilet paper, theirs is see through and so thin. Tours were also conducted while we were setting up and getting ready. Unfortunately for the venue this was terrible timing as I was already frustrated with them and I advised each couple that came in about the disorganization . (If it were me touring I would want to be aware) You are paying for the shell of the venue and that s it. Not worth the price you pay. During our reception we were asked to turn our music down because of a neighbor complaint. Come to find out the springs pays this neighbor extra to not complain. For the cost of this venue we shouldn t have been bothered about this during our reception. Their customer service was absolutely awful. At 10:45 my husband and I had our last dance in the venue. (We had the venue until 11pm then cleanup till 12) the lights were turned on in the middle of our dance and the attendant started mopping the dance floor! Totally ruining our moment. Unprofessional, rude, disorganized and disrespectful. Terrible customer service. Don t have your wedding here!

I am a wedding planner and love working at this location because the staff is absolutely amazing! Shaniequa is always present when I ve worked here and has been the most supportive and dedicated staff member to work with. I refer my clients here because even though the venue is absolutely beautiful, the staff is even more phenomenal and I m so grateful for them. They re helpful throughout the entire event and always willing to jump in and do whatever needs to be done. I had one of my most challenging weddings here about a month ago and when I tell you the Shaniqua stepped up to the plate and handled everything so professionally and patiently. She helped during and even after with clean-up because we had an issue with catering. I highly recommend this venue and a big shoutout to the staff members

So while this is a beautiful venue , the lack of professionalism was clear as to how the Bride was constantly being pressed about time !! No one wants to hear that on their special day ! Why take that from someone after the amount of money not only spent at the venue but also brought into the area from lodging , car rentals, hotel stays , dining ! We have upscale venues in our area and have ties with people in the industry and this type of practice is disgusting !! Back off and let people enjoy their moment !! You have a stop and start time, we get it , but to be in her ear like that is so intrusive and it sounds like you guys broke things that were in the contract !!! Do better ! And if the bartenders were supplied from the venue , they could use some training and attitude adjustment especially when people are tipping you after paying restaurant prices for a drink ! First time in Texas and this was by far the worst service we experienced throughout our trip**. This was for wedding on 9/13/24

If I could give this venue 0 stars I would. The day of rehearsals for the wedding party, the venues manager changed the time that was agreed upon 6 months before hand. This resulted in half of the wedding party not being able to make it in time and on top of that the entire time of rehearsals one of the venue employees (Kelcey) was following the bride around repeating youll need to leave soon its almost time to leave make sure to finish in time making it even harder for everyone to get through rehearsals. The day of the wedding while the bridesmaids were getting ready they were giving tours, which is absolutely ridiculous with the amount of money they charge I do not understand why they can t give their clients privacy on their special day. Horrible customer service, and if they don t recognize how incredibly inconsiderate that is I hope this review provides the prospective of the clients so that in future no one else has to endure this. We were not allowed to bring outside alcohol in which was understandable but the bartenders that were provided were super rude and seemed like they didnt even have basic classic cocktail knowledge. The bride and groom purchased a five thousand dollar bar tab for an open bar for everyone, the bartenders started charging after an hour an a half of serving! For 30 minutes of that time the ceremony was going on so no one was inside and the when we were inside they had time to stand around and stare at everyone, so it was seemed highly unlikely that the tab had already been ran up. At the end of the night the venue staff told the wedding party we needed to make sure that all of the trash was taken out and taken all the to the dumpster. Any other venue that Ive been to or rented out that task is definitely the venues responsibility. This venue made it absolutely impossible for the bride and groom to relax and enjoy their time. The employees kept telling the parents of the newly wed couple about more things we needed to do or not allowed to do, it seemed like they were making up rules or standards as the night went on. Weddings can be such stressful times and this venue staff only added to the stress. Super disappointed because the building itself was beautiful. I strongly suggest not using this venue for your special event.

My sister had this place booked in October of 2023 for her wedding on 9/13/24. Since she had people flying in from all over the country she talked to her coordinator about having her rehearsal the night before from 5-6 pm. She had this put out to her bridal party back around January February. Most of the bridal party including the bride and groom are military and have to stick to super strict schedules. The DAY OF rehearsal my sister gets a call from Kelsey who she had never met or talked to before stating the property is under new management and her coordinator is no longer employed there and that she had to move her rehearsal to 3 instead of 5. My dad went over to talk to her and explain that not everyone would be able to make that and she refused to accommodate us. She said she couldn t stay past her hours had to lock up. We finally got her to let us come from 4-5. While we were there she was hovering and kept giving us countdowns that we had to leave by which made everything feel super rushed. They never replaced her coordinator so we had to have people fill those shoes the day of. My sisters caterer never showed either and if we had the coordinator whose job it is to have all that info and know time hacks we wouldn t have been scrambling to find something last minute. The security was amazing though and stepped up to help and do what the coordinator should have. It s also an Open venue so the day of your event they allow tours for people to come in even though you pay to rent it. This place is stunning but the people running it are extremely unprofessional and don t care about anything other than making their money at the end of the day. Even at the cost of what s supposed to be the best day of someone s life.

This venue provides a breath-taking experience for anyone looking to hold an event here. The establishment is well maintained and easy to navigate for someone with a disability. There is an upstairs, and I am not sure if there is an elevator. If you are getting married or having some other special event. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Springs Event Venue.

The Manor is an absolute disaster when it comes to hosting a wedding. During setup they allow tours to go on which wouldnt be an issue if it wasnt for the fact they allowed the bride from the tour into private dressing rooms while people were getting hair and makeup done and allowed them to touch our dresses and other items in the dressing room, resulting in a stain on one of the dresses that couldnt be removed in time for the ceremony. Additionally, a second tour group touched silverware that was in the process of being wrapped, causing us to discard it and start over. When the bride texted the manager bringing our concerns of privacy to her attention during the next tour, she was incredibly rude. Its also important to note that we were not allowed access to the venue until 9:00 a.m. So tours could have been given before we were given access. The chairs and tables were another issue entirely. They were not only unclean but also sticky and heavily scratched to the point where it was noticeable in photos. Considering the high cost of this venue, one would expect better maintenance and cleanliness. There were also multiple spots on the stairwell where paint had been touched up with paint. That was a different color and noticeable. During the ceremony, we encountered an awful smell outside, think of a decaying animal in the summer heat. We had rehearsed just two hours before the wedding and noticed no such smell. When I raised this concern with the vendors recommended by The Manor, they informed me that it was due to the septic system, a problem they had repeatedly brought to the venues attention without resolution. Being a June wedding, the reception area, which is mostly windows, heated up quickly especially with people dancing. When we asked to lower the air conditioning, they refused. The air conditioning units are locked, and the staff claimed adjusting the temperature would freeze the units. With the amount spent on this venue, one would expect to have control over the temperature on such an important day. Especially since they could get an additional unit to cool the venue off for just the cost of a few weddings with how much they charge. Despite expressing our concerns, including the mother of the bride speaking directly to the venue, no one has reached out to make things right. I delayed this review in hopes they would address our issues, but they have failed to do so. I strongly advise against booking The Manor for any event, especially a wedding. The lack of professionalism, respect for privacy, and overall poor management made for a terrible experience.

We filmed a wedding here recently and this is a gorgeous location! (see video below!) As a wedding videographer, I was impressed by the picturesque setting and lush gardens. The venue offered plenty of video/photo opportunities, including the stunning bridge, charming gazebos, and romantic water features. The indoor spaces were also beautifully designed and provided a perfect backdrop for capturing memories. I highly recommend this venue to any couple looking to create a fairy tale wedding day.

The Springs was an absolutely perfect wedding venue! We toured a few venues before seeing this one and the second we walked in we immediately knew it was the one! The ambience of Poetry Hall is so romantic, elegant, and warm. It set the perfect tone for how we wanted our big day to look. The ceremony area was the PERFECT backdrop. We couldn t of asked for more! On top of the beautiful setting, the team was so so so easy to work with! As a bride with a million things going on, it is such a relief to have a venue who is easy to get ahold of and works with you for anything you need! The Springs helped make our dream day come true and we ll never be able to thank them enough for that!

The location of the place is extremely beautiful. I was there for a wedding. The glassware there was dirty at the table we were at, had lipstick on glasses that still had tags on them from the store and the food we received was cold by the time we got it. Wouldnt recommend unless you are bringing in your own people to work an event.

After visiting several venues we fell in love with this one!! It has so much natural appeal & a romantic feel!! We chose Poetry Hall because it fit our vision so perfectly!! Exposed wood beams, lots of natural greenery & plant life, a cute bridge with a creek to cross over to get to our ceremony, & beautiful reception hall with a grand staircase!! Their pricing is competitive & well worth it. Ive had co-workers get married here since we selected it & their weddings were so gorgeous here!! Makes me all that more excited for our wedding in 27 days!! They communicate throughly with couples & send important reminders frequently so you dont forget a thing. The staff is very helpful, nice, & knows how to make things run smoothly. They provide a great list of vendors for every possible thing you could need. Its really a standout venue!!

Let me start off by saying my wedding was beautiful. It s the aftermath that has caused me to give the staff 1 star. I was late getting out of the venue so they charged me an additional $500. That s not the most upsetting part, the issue for me is the fact that as soon as we left the building, the cleaning staff threw away the top portion of my wedding cake instead of saving it. I tried to come back shortly after realizing the cake was still in the bridal suite and the staff called the police instead of explaining that the cake was trashed. I spent my wedding night trying explaining to the cops that the only reason we were still on the premises is because we were trying to get the cake. They understood and went to ask the cleaners which is when we found out it was discarded. I was charged $500 and lost my cake so I would not recommend having your wedding here. They don t care!

My husband and I looked at a ton of venues around DFW and Rockwall Manor topped them all. We pulled up and the first thing he said was it feels like home. We loved that we would have a big dance floor, plenty of space for guests, the breathtaking outdoor ceremony space, and WOW have you seen the front?! As far as the staff, they are very responsive and would text back and answer all my questions really quickly. I highly recommend! It was absolutely beautiful.

The venue is beautiful. Staff was very responsive. However, the wedding day was not great. They set up the wrong chairs and in the reception format, not the ceremony. I m not sure what happened but certainly understand miscommunications can occur. However, when I asked to get it fixed via text message, they said no. Then I talked to the maintenance guy and he said his hours were up so he would not fix it. Then one of the staff members came in and also pretty much told me they weren t changing the chairs. It s a bit of a blur on specifics because then I got upset and begged- said I would pay them, said my family would set up the chairs, which pretty much happened. They ended up bringing the correct chairs but my family had to set them up. The AC was also off in the grooms suite and it was HOT and miserable and was never fixed. It was also very hot at the reception and they said they wouldn t turn it down. The security they made me hire was useless and stood against the wall at the bar on his phone and half asleep. It is also NOT handicap accessible as the family room is upstairs and our older grandparents could not walk up there.

The Springs in Rockwall was so pretty! They are amazing at keeping the lawn beautiful for all picture needs! I am so glad we decided to have our wedding here. Everyone was so nice and helpful during the wedding as well! We had our wedding during Covid, and they kept us up to date with any updates about what we could and couldn t do!

Amazing customer service, unlimited visits, easy to communicate with and the reminder/recommendation emails we re life savers. We would recommend this venue time and time again!!

We got married in November 2019 at Poetry Hall, and it was a perfect place to get married! It was easy to schedule a time for taking bridal portraits. It was also nice to be able to book the venue for the entire day. Highly recommend this wedding location! Everything is absolutely stunning, and we had no problems at all with the venue. I will say though that you must have a security officer on the site if there is any alcohol involved. This includes getting ready before the ceremony.

My husband and I were married here at The Springs in Rockwall at Poetry Hall a couple years ago. It was an AMAZING experience from the very beginning. We knew right away that this is where we would have our ceremony and reception the day we toured. Not only was it absolutely BEAUTIFUL, but the staff was very professional, kind, helpful, and very straightforward. We loved working with Madelyn (not sure that s spelled right, sorry), and felt she was absolutely there to help us and answer any and all questions to make the process VERY easy! The bartenders were rude. They had made up rules about drinks that were supplied to them by the marriage party. No double shots, no drinks without ice and water. Literally, all drinks must have ice and water or soda. They managed to ruin single malt scotch. And then they had the gall to close the bar before closing time drumming up some lame excuses. Stay away from this venue.

It was pretty they didnt let you rent your dishes but I get both sides of that because they dont want food in their septic but it was a real pain. They had a great barbecue cater from somewhere in Coppell. And FYI I cant stand waiting food or barbecue food. Overall it just served its purpose

My (now) husband and I looked at so many different places in Rockwall, and the Springs Rockwall Manor was our first choice. The whole staff was very friendly and professional. After we booked them, the staff was always available to answer questions and made planning at the venue very straightforward. Anytime I would reach out to them for a question, they would always respond timely, both via text and email. The Springs Rockwall were also very flexible about my husband and I visiting the venue to plan out details. We were able to meet with our coordinator, parents, bridal party, etc multiple times for various wedding planning details.The venue itself is elegant, spacious, and gorgeous, so it s picture perfect. We had a mixed culture wedding, so the venue space perfectly met the needs of the activities we hoping to have at our wedding (and we did). Booking the Rockwall Manor set the tone for our wedding and it was the easiest and best choice we made.

This venue is BEAUTIFUL! Absolutely stunning and everything you want in the looks but I want to note a couple of things. You pay a LOT for the 4 walls, tables, and chairs. There are very few amenities. That is IT. They do have a great kitchen (big refrigerators and lots of space for catering). It comes with nothing else but you do have the ability to bring in your own vendors which can help with cost. Additionally, the tv in the grooms suite was not working the day of. Which would be really nice to keep them busy and I m sure most days it works but it didn t that day and they were bummed. Finally, it s strict. No alcohol until security/bartenders show up so no mimosas for bridesmaids or beers for groomsmen during the day. I have to admit I was SO stressed about the groomsmen sneaking alcohol and me being the one to be fined for it. Fortunately I have a great coordinator who assured me she wouldn t let it happen, but it s a TOUGH rule and frustrating to be honest. Brings some undue stress to a bride on their wedding day. I would recommend this venue overall because they re VERY sweet and responsive. They text you back if you have a question and are super nice! The venue is gorgeous and ultimately is what made me choose this venue. But just a couple of notes to keep in mind above.

Be aware of their contract! Apperantly it was all up do Abbott to close down the Venues during the pandemic so us brides could reschedule. Didnt know Abbott owned these Venues (Sarcastic). This venue supposedly have their hands tied when it comes to a pandemic. Very dissapointed and upsetting that the Springs could not help brides, like myself, to reschedule. I am sure they could have worked something out. Life is all about choices, as their money is secures in the bank they just dont care weather you have a wedding or not.

The springs staff and managers were amazing. They were very prompt in their responses which helped us plan much more smoothly. They were very accommodating to extend the floor plan deadline because we had exams. We miscommunicated about the ceremony location and we called them 20 min before closing and they were gracious enough to remove the chair for us to utilize the outside space for pictures. Alot of vendors are desensitized about the importance of this day for their clients but not this team. We felt that they were with us the entire way. We worked alot with Jennifer and she was a dream to work with. The only bad thing about this venue is that they do not allow subs, this makes it difficult to achieve any respectable sound quality especially with the acoustics of the place being very echoey. We understand it is because the venue is in a residential area, but the restriction results in the need to turn the music up loader to make up for the lack of bass. Perhaps a decibel limit on the music would be more effective at volume control than restricting subs. We absolutely recommend this venue to everyone who is reading this comment. These people are wonderful to work with and the venue was beautiful.

BOOK THIS VENUE!!! My husband and I had the most beautiful wedding at Poetry Hall (one of the venues at this location). We got married December 14, 2020 outside! They keep up the landscaping so well, and it was absolutely stunning! We honestly didnt have to do many decorations at all because the ceremony area and reception hall are so pretty on their own. Also, this was one of the less expensive venues that we looked at, by far the prettiest venue, and you get a 15 hour rental which is unheard of in the DFW area. I cannot stress enough about how amazing the management is either. They are super responsive and the kindest, most helpful people that you will work with while planning your wedding.

Location is secluded which is great. Until it becomes time to leave and all your guest have no cell service to lead them home. Not anything the venue can do about that but should be noted in your decision. Roads upon exiting the venue is a HUGE HAZARD. Pitch black darkness, road has multiple sharp turns and is not lit. Very dangerous for your guests.

I am honestly so heart broken about having to had canceled our wedding but we felt like the venue gave us no choice. Me as the bride I felt devastated that the venue wouldnt allow me to just reschedule my wedding we even offered to pay an additional cost and still got turned down and told we would have to pay all over again for a new date. Instead we took a huge loss on our money and we didnt even want any money back. Our dream was to hold our wedding at The Springs. We fell in love with it and we envisioned our special day there. Things are hard enough with everything going on with this pandemic and then having to either choose to proceed with all the numbers of cases rising and having a very strict day that we were suppose to enjoy or just saying oh well and put everyone at risk. The venue was generous enough to let us keep the last payment but it was nothing compared to what we had already lost. Im very disappointed with the venue. It is extremely beautiful but future brides just makes sure you dont plan on rescheduling unless youre willing to double pay.

I am extremely sadden at the fact the venue couldnt work with us and issue us a refund due to COVID-19. My Fiance and I were extremely excited to get married here. We had our plans, vision, and music already picked out. Once COVID hit everything took a turn for the worse with us. Due to the economy shut down, we were faced with a difficult decision to cancel. Upon requesting the the money we had invested on our day hoping that we can stay a float with our bills. They denied us. So if a new couple wanted to come and choose the day we have chosen...they would profit a nice chunk of money. The new client would pay the full price and then the money we invested in the day. I am just lost at words. I dont think its right to take money from people that are trying to stay a float through this pandemic. We werent responsible for what happen...this was something out of everyones control.

Each location of The Springs that we coordinated with was quick to respond, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. When we went to visit the Rockwall location, Ms. Jennifer Griffin and her team were extremely helpful and friendly. They answered all of the questions that we had and even answered the questions that we didnt know to ask. Additionally, they were able to help us with the expense through a summer special that they are running. After researching and attempting to coordinate with several dozen wedding venues in the DFW area, Jennifer Griffin, Elizabeth Inch, and the rest of Rockwall team were some of the best people that I had the privileged of speaking with.
