We had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. We have little time to go to lunch and we chose this place because of its proximity to our workplace and school. We went into the restaurant and ordered; but the food did not taste good. Anyway, we ate what we could and went to pay the bill. The cashier gave us the baucher, and we signed it, we put the tip and we stayed waiting for them to confirm that everything was fine with the payment. Surprise, the Asian woman said to us what are you waiting for and mock at us. How sad for us that this lady doesnt know about customer service. We feel very unfortunate to see someone laugh at us. First time we visited this restaurant and most likely the last.

Roti Canai and Pork Fried Rice is good. Those Malaysian pancakes are so delicious. Think of a more chewy and deliciously greasy flour tortilla, and that is that pancake. It s so good. I don t know if they have that as a side, but I would order more often if I knew if they sold those phenomenal pancakes separately.

The coconut water and the egg rolls were very good and my server was very nice, but be warned, the pho is completely inedible here. I dont know how they make their broth but it tastes like it comes from a box or a campbells soup can. I would not order that again. However La Dalat has the best pho i have had in years.

So glad we found this gem of a place. We ordered Roti Canai with Curry Chicken and Pho Special. We are a family of Malaysian Chinese and Vietnamese. We were impressed by the food, would definitely stop here again if we were in the area. Coming from a restaurant background, I was observing how the manager/owner interacted with staff and cleanliness of place. She was very engaged, actually acknowledges her staff, and they seem happy. The place was very clean too, including the restrooms.

There is nothing Vietnamese about this place other than the name!! I ordered the special pho, spring rolls and steamed dumplings and I couldn t be more disappointed with all 3 dishes. The pho was extremely terrible the broth was tasteless and bland and the produce was not fresh and couldn t eat it. The spring rolls were quite average indeed, but the peanut sauce served with it was tasteless watery and strangely slimy and gross. Finally the dumplings were frozen dumplings you can buy at any grocery store except these had a slimy feel unlike any other. Than noticing fortune cookies in my take out bag have now realised this is the Chinese restaurant claiming to be Vietnamese. AVOID

If you are looking for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant this is not the place. Pho taste like instant pho out the bag and the pad Thai had an odd taste to it. Uses a Vietnamese name but only have a few Vietnamese dishes. First time here and last time as we are passing through temple for first time.

In town with my husband and ordered the cheese puffs which are just the cream cheese wontons you get most places. They were hardly filled, and had a very stale texture. The sweet and sour sauce served with them and my sweet and sour chicken was coagulated, so more like a jam than a sauce and not hot at all. My containers of fried rice were 3/4 full. None of my food was hot or fresh and I ordered long before closing time. In total, I spent $50 including the 20% tip (I always leave a good tip when ordering delivery in hopes they will treat me good In return.) that was not the case here. Very disappointed, the food is still sitting in my fridge, already tasted old, probably won t touch it again. What a waste.

The Saigon moniker limits the expectations as this place also serves Chinese and Malaysian dishes. I wanted to try Malaysian but had a hunger for Pho this evening. If I breeze through this town again, then definite maybe. Well, the pho broth was underwhelming but there was plenty of meat in the Pho Special. Maybe the broth favors those that like to add extras to their pho, but Id rather have it tasty and flavored from the get-go. Staff were friendly. Service was quick, though there were only a couple tables; however there were several to-gos and take-outs.

If you re gonna pay top dollar you d at least want quality food. Spring rolls were made with SHREDDED LETTUCE like you d buy from HEB. Brown and wilted. And the crab ragoons were tough, chewy, and had yellow lumpy cream cheese. And the extra meat and cilantro we paid for was sad to say the least. We paid $50 bucks and got poor quality food.

They have more Americanized dishes like lemon chicken and sweet and sour, but the also have more traditional dishes that have a meat and vegetables base, or even tofu base. This is great to bring your family to because each entree dish can be shared family style (you can share multiple entrees).

But I was very upset I ordered something and my husband ordered the same thing we asked what was all in it and they told us it was just chicken and vegetables I said okay everythings safe because Im severely allergic to mushrooms when his fiodl came I seen that it had mushrooms and I told her that I could not eat that and the lady behind the counter which Im assuming might have been the owner embarrassed me talking very loud telling me that I should have said something about being allergic to mushrooms which I thought Id addressed for all the Patriots to hear then she went on to say that I should always tell everybody that Im allergic to mushrooms I was so tempted to get up and leave but I had friends there and I didnt want it to embarrass them any more than that lady embarrassed me at this rate I dont know if Ill ever go there again it was uncalled for and all my little waitress to do with apologize

Let me start off by saying that as far as Asian food goes I will almost always go to a Buffet over a non-buffet restaurant unless the food is consistently exceptional . Well, may I introduce the only non-buffet Asian food restaurant I frequent. Everything I ve tried off the menu has just blown me away. the quality of ingredients and the care taken in preparing those ingredients elevates their food to another level. My absolute favorite thing on the menu is their hot and sour soup. The flavor is far better than any other hot and sour soup I have had. Tonight I had rice noodles sautéed in curry sauce with a combination of meats. It was just the right amount of spicy to feel the heat but not for it to burn or linger between bites. The flavor was amazing. I had a bowl of hot and sour soup as an appetizer and also ordered a large to-go hot and sour soup for a midnight snack . The atmosphere is the only thing that leaves a little to be desired. This restaurant is in an older building and it shows. The restaurant is however visually clean inside and the few glimpses I got back into the kitchen area showed what appeared to be a clean and well maintained kitchen. If you haven t been here it s well worth stopping by. The menu is massive so there should be something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable with most entrees hovering around $10. Some premium and seafood dishes get up there in price but that s to be expected with high cost ingredients. For three people to eat with appetizers the cost was around $45 before tip which in todays economy isn t bad at all. Service was fast and pleasant, no drinks sat empty for very long.

When we moved here 3 yrs ago, their food was really good. Post Covid, prices went way up, (which everything became more expensive!) BUT their quality went down along with quantity. Their Malaysian dishes are their better effort. Stay far away from the wonton soup as it has no flavor, no wontons (just doughy wads with no filling), no pork slices or cubes It s tasteless.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Temple. Everytime I come, I m filled with great flavors and excellent cooking. A bowl of egg drop soup always starts my meal here as I think they have the best egg drop soup anywhere. The pork fried rice is top notch with good sized pieces of bbq pork. Sesame Beef is another great choice. The Fried jumbo shrimp in a Hunan sauce complimented the rest of the meal nicely. Dottie is a great server, very personable and efficient. Saigon Cafe should be on your list of must haves !

The environment was clean and typical for asian restaurant. The menu had a HUGE number of items on several pages (typical) The service was efficient and friendly. The portions per dish was abundant. Fresh spring rolls were not great and the peanut sauce was more like peanut butter. I ordered one of the Ph . There was only 1 size, large, which was more than I wanted for lunch. The noodles were good enough, the stock was not flavorful enough, but, the amount of topping ingredients was plenty. The side condiments were lacking. I had to request jalapeños, fish sauce, oyster or hoisin, chili sauce and more basil. Only soy sauce was provided on the table. I would not go out of my way to eat here again, and I would definitely go somewhere else for Ph and fresh spring rolls.

Great food, customer service is a hit and miss and the manager or owner up front is not very professional. She scolds her employees in front of customers, did not great customers walking in and sat on her phone while guests were leaving. Room for growth.

Friendlier than the other Chinese restaurants around here, but pretty bland food and not much of it for the price, which that part IS common around here unfortunately. CTX just doesnt have good Chinese food so far, and Ive tried several places and was unimpressed .

I m so disappointed of this place, the services was bad and the food is the worst. Our rice plate came out cold and bland, taste only MSG. Our Pho was like water and our Grilled pork tasted like leather. There should be an option for no stars period. My tastebuds still has MSG. Consider warned folks.

Our experience was horrible. There was grease floating in the pho, the broth tasted like it came out of a can, the chicken pho did not have the authentic taste of traditional Vietnamese Pho. When we told our waitress we were not pleased with our food, she took it back, but the owner was rude and began to raise her voice in frustration saying we had to pay for 1 of the Phos. In efforts to not make a scene we paid. The food lacked flavor, seasoning, and spice...

Absolutely delicious food. Had lunch with June and had a blast talking to her and learning about the food. The deep fried spring rolls were the best weve had in years. The special lo mein were amazing...and lots of it. The chicken asparagus was cooked perfectly with lots of shimp. Will be coming back here again, and again, and again. Want to try everything on the menu. Thank you for a great meal.
