Be careful buying games here. They sold me a Sorry board game that was missing the entire deck of cards. The game can t be played without the cards, and no one sells replacement cards. They apparently don t check that all game pieces are included before putting them on the shelves to be sold. It clearly says on the back of the box that there should be a deck of cards. But they tape up the boxes, so it s not like customers can check for themselves. Hopefully they ll let me return it, otherwise it s just wasted money in the trash.

The store here on 31st st inTemple is getting bad- the workers are very rude mainly the moring workers- I have seen them snap at guest over a question snap at other workers degrade them in front of us. Im embarressed for them. I hate to go in the mornings for this reason. Afternoon crew are wounderful smiles talks.

Bought a lounger for outside. Told while checking out I thought Veronica bought that. Oh no it has your name on it. I paid and pulled around back for pick up. Sales guy came out and told me it had been previously bought. Refund given. I feel like employees should be more aware before they put you through all of that.

Well! Me and my granddaughter went to the store because she had brought a bra from another store. The store forgot to take the metal detector off of the bra, so we were told that we can take it to goodwill and they would take it off just as long as we show them the receipt for purchase of sale. Plus! The item was purchased in Georgetown which was an hour away and she needed it to wear. But after getting to Goodwill we went to the customer service desk and asked one of the ladies that worked there can she help us and take the detector off the item for us and she looked at us in discuss and in a angry suspicious way and said no I can t do that; no way plus she said she doesn t think that they ever did that, plus they didn t have the tool to take that off with and all of that was because I said that my old lady said that she had gotten the same thing taken off by them before. She didn t even ask anyone else do they know or could they help us, all she did was tell us with attitude and sarcasm like we had stole it and was trying to get the metal detector off. All we was trying to do was get it off close to home so that we didn t have to go back to Georgetown and hour away. But then she said that we had to take it back to where we got it from sarcastically. We then went to Victoria Secret in Killeen Mall to get it taken off and they said no problem. We were relieved after driving a half an hour to Killeen and a half hour back to Temple.

You can find some good deals, but some of their stuff is really overpriced, especially their kitchenware. You can buy some things new for the price theyre selling it here. The store is clean and the staff were pleasant though.

I love coming to this Goodwill with my mom when I come to Temple to stay at her house. My favorite section of the store are the music CDs next to the DVD movies. Im interested in classical music.

You can find most anything here used and sometimes even brand new with the tags still on them furniture is of great quality no prestwood solid wood electronics are all tested and parking theres plenty of it handicap front-row parking and back row parking

Honestly hate leaving 2 stars because in regards to selection there is plenty, and even through renovations the store actually looks better than most Ive visited. My biggest complaint is that every time Ive been at this location the employees are incredibly unprofessional, last two trips while at register checking out 2 employees proceeded to engage in work drama he/she doesnt do her job, etc etc. Was really uncomfortable watching this complete lack of self awareness and whats appropriate in front of customers was shocking. Worst part was cashier couldnt be bothered to acknowledge my existence aside from ringing up my items as it would have taken away from her conversation. Also, while employees were cleaning up the store for the upcoming closing for the evening an employee sweeping the aisles proceeds to sweep down the aisle and doesnt even have the decency to say excuse me to get by, It was so awkward I ended up being the one to say excuse me as I felt like I was just in the way. Honestly if the employees were more customer focused and professional this would be an overall great location. The whole thing is just off-putting.

I understand very well where it is good and where it is bad. The room from a distance does not look rich, even a little shabby. But...there are excellent staff, excellent service, the goods are clean, the room is clean and there is a large selection of shoes, household goods and warm jackets. There is furniture and books, tools for the garden. And it is very important - at the entrance, on both sides of the entrance, there are metal benches and this is convenient when waiting. Also, at the exit there is an excellent rain curtain outside the door. It left a good impression. Yes...more...a lot of Christmas trees, artificial, at a good price.

So this Goodwill wins for my best Goodwill experience in Texas, for selection and customer service. The beautiful women running this store do a phenomenal job. They are kind, helpful, patient, understanding, hard working and are just my favorite and one of the reasons I go back so often. the selection is honestly pretty good, the prices not so much.. Ive been to quite a few different Goodwill stores across the US (Arizona winning by far in prices and selection) but in Texas Ive been so disappointed! When you walk in a goodwill and cant find anything under 2.99 then Im upset. I understand the prices of things are going up, but a donation based thrift shop? Get outta here. Side note: there are points and discounts offered with certain stipulations. Always ask an employee what promotions or savings they have available at the time! Ive saved literally hundreds of dollars.

Here they had a lot of odds and ends. It is a smaller store. I did find a few things and it is nice that it is close. If a person is able to go multiple times usually sooner or later you will find a better than retail product. Employees are friendly and recognize repeat customers. If you donate and ask you get 20 percent off a purchase coupon. I like this place. I have mostly been in bigger Goodwill stores.

Pretty good selection and Most of the staff is friendly. I bought a desk, however I didnt have the vehicle to take it with me then and there, so I made a deal with Manager #1 I encountered to reserve and I would pick up the next day, no problem. Well, next day came, had car issues, made arrangements on my own to take care of that, went back to the store hoping I would get the same manager. I didnt. Not only was Manager #2 Extremely rude, she kept throwing policy in my face while loud enough for other customers to hear, and - even though I already paid for it - told me that it was going back to the sales floor. I told her that if she resold the desk underneath me, I basically was going to get ripped off and that she knew it. I let her know she was Very unprofessional in the way she handled it, so I got my refund, and the following day I sent my husband inside by himself to repurchase it. We had my car and a trailer then, and while Manager #2 helped with loading, she did not apologize for her behavior. I got my desk inspite of her antics, but I would remove her from her position and promote someone else whos more qualified.

Quite frankly if I could give this goodwill a 0 I would. They used to be my place, where I got tons of cool stuff at amazing prices but now they have stuff listed for MORE than what Walmart sells it. I also will not be donating anymore because theyre gonna just take my stuff and sell it for 3x what its worth. I was APPALLED when I came into the store today and found these tiny sauce containers maybe 2 Inches big for $1.99. The whole set at Walmart for 92 pieces is 9.99!!! Make that make sense. Yall are straight robbing people and its disgusting.

pretty upset on my last visit , found a pack of 4 empty picture sleeves that look like books and had a large $1.00 tag across them, went to pay and the cashier was charging $1 each one which is ridiculous. they need to fix that tag if its not $1 for the pack , they cant be sold separately or it ruins the look. she wouldnt even listen to me explaining that and just rude.

When I asked a question the staff seemed like I was bothering them, or I was a hindrance. I know from personal Expierence that there are much better items that are donated than are put out. Last, quite a bit of donated items get tossed in the dumpster. Ive seen staff taking glassware plates dishes, vintage items and brake them in the dumpster. If you think your belongings or family heirlooms are going to a good cause. Well, they might be, but then again you might save some time and throw your stuff away yourself...

While it wasnt my favorite, I still liked visiting the location. It was very clean, and while a lot of the clothing I saw either wasnt necessarily my style or didnt fit me, I still think they have a good selection and a good variety. They also had a wide variety of books from different genres as well. The cashier and staff were also quite nice and friendly.

It was the first time Ive been in this Goodwill. I like the way theres lots of room in between shelves. Everything is not crammed together, especially the picture frames. I also like that they had one section labeled seasonal. Everything from New years to Christmas was there. Next time we come up for hospital visits (we live an hour away) I will make sure to schedule time to come back.

I called to see if they would accept an almost new roll of carpet (13x18) from new home where we had opted for tile in one room. They said great they would love to have it. Got there and they said no furniture or carpet. Guess the front staff doesn t communicate with the back staff. I will now make all my donations to the St. Vincent Thrift Store.

this store is a mess.. there was toys all over the floor and a woman changing her 6 or 7 year old daughters clothes in the middle of the isle while grown men are walking around.. The people working there with the exception of the cashier were very rude and not helpful at all. Theyre too expensive for the quality of clothes, I will never step foot in that store again.

Evertime I go to this location I am treated poorly by staff. If you point out a pricing discrepancy they get mad and argue with you. I bought youth shoes & was charged for adults as I was told youth is only baby clothes when the shoes were clearly marked youth. Then another time an item had two tags, both with sane descriptions. Cashier ripped off less tag for 4.99 & charged me 6.99!! Sorry but its a law & you have to follow it. Nope apparently doesnt apply here. Ive never had such an issue anywhere. The cashier even said I guess you just dont want it then? I did call corporate two days ago & havent heard back. Ridiculous, its donated goods!

Seems pretty pricey for a bunch of donated junk. Whoops I forgot the CEO makes about a quarter of a million a year. Not bad for a non profit organization.

Love thrifting at this Goodwill, although staff could work on organizing sizes correctly i spend quite a bit of time there looking for my size everything is all mixed together
