My husband and I toured this place last week and we loved it! Toni gave us the tour and he was very nice and respectful. We instantly liked him and the other employees and could tell the dogs were well taken care of and loved. Our dog had his evaluation today for daycare and he was there for 4 hours and we were told he did great. I was nervous about sending him to daycare because he s never attended daycare before, but he was so excited to go. He is now dead asleep on the couch! He must have had a blast making friends. Can t wait to continue bringing Charlie here!

We have boarded our Great Pyrenees at Barking Oaks several times and each time it has been a great experience. The staff make you feel they enjoy having your dog there and you feel safe leaving your pet with them. Today we got our Great Pyrenees groomed. The groomer, Blair, bathed her, trimmed her nails, and trimmed her heavy coat. She looks like a different dog! She was so perfect and beautiful when my husband brought her home, I had to call the groomer and thank her for her superior work. Blair told me that she had our dog rest during the grooming service so she would not be stressed and she made me feel like a family member had taken care of our big girl. The prices are excellent and the work Blair did was gorgeous. I could not be happier. If you get your dog groomed or boarded, I cannot think of a more wonderful place to go than Barking Oaks!

My dog absolutely adores coming here! He is still a puppy/super athletic and when he comes home he s so tired!! He has the best time socializing and playing with his pup friends!!! I was a nervous dog mom at first leaving him in the care of complete strangers and they made the transition so so easy by sending pictures and videos and letting me call in to check on him without making me feel an ounce of guilt. I absolutely love this place and can t recommend it enough. They are the best!

I don t even know where to start. My 12 year old corgi mix has been to several groomers and Samson because of his barking no one ever wants to deal with him after one hair cut and bath. They all complain about how he is loud and abnoxious. Family Pet clinic all they want to do is sedate him in order to do any grooming because that was the easiest thing for them to do and not the best interest of my dog. Samson barks because he likes to talk and has some anxiety. Barking oaks staff took Samson in and spend all day with him. They groomed him and even his hair cut was so awesome. They were so patient with him and the amount of love and kindness they showed Samson was just priceless. Samson came home with no anxiety and looked perfect in my eyes. I cannot thank the staff especially Blair and her mother Hauncy for being so patient with my dog. The staff from Barking Oaks are a blessing and everyone should give them the business. They are well deserved.

Just picked up my dogs from boarding again, I do have to say they re loving it the soonest we hit that little bumpy road to get there, they know where we going and can t hardly hold in their excitement. We live in Austin and it is an hour drive for me to bring them, but every time I see their excitement I know it is worth it . they just spend a week there while we were on vacation and it s not only the doggy hotel ( how I call it) it is truly their home away from home. This is an amazing place to bring your pets for their own vacation while you be on vacation, believe me when I say your pets will love it. Mine surely do and can t wait for their next vacation. Our dog had a 6 day stay here and during pick up they couldn t find any of his bedding or toys (marked with his name). They told us he peed on them on the first or second day (which he never does) so they washed them and now can t find anything. I assume he went his entire stay without his bedding or toys in an empty kennel. Was he not being taken out? He never pees on his belongings or inside. We couldn t see the kennel and there aren t any pictures of the actual pet resort. Not very pleased with the lack of transparency and not sure we re getting what we paid for.

Barking Oaks does a great job at grooming & training my little Bella! In the past we adopted older dogs, but this time we got a puppy. Little did we realized it would be a challenge. We looked everywhere for a training, but it was way out of our budget. Thankfully we found Barking Oaks Resort. Before we had her trained she was starting to be a nuisance. After training at Barking Oaks Resort she s well behaved and doesn t do her business inside the house. The people there are great at what they do. I feel very comfortable taking Bella for grooming as well. I let them know exactly what I want & they do it with no issues. She s smells great when I go pick her up too! My friends ask me where I take her because she smells so clean. When they take their pets they don t smell as good after grooming. Thank you Barking Oaks Pet Resort!!!!

Just called to get a price quote and after getting the quote on a bath and nail trim, I asked an additional question and was automatically placed on hold without any warning. That really does leave a bad first impression as far as customer service. If I do try this place for my fur babies, I will update this review, but as for now, the person who answers the phone should practice her phone etiquette. **The response from this business is comical! No, I did not hang up after the price was given. I asked the question after the price was given and was automatically placed on hold. I then hung up and found a better professional business with better phone etiquette. How dare you respond with a blatant lie! Just goes to show how unprofessional your staff and whoever responds to this is.

We boarded 5 of our dogs at Barking Oaks and loved this facility and the staff. I saw how clean it was and that the dogs have private rooms when the owner, Hansy, gave me a tour of the entire facility. All our dogs were happy and well taken care of by Barking Oaks Pet Resort. People were nice enough and we felt good about keeping our dog there overnight. But when we picked our dog up we noticed that the food we left was still full. When our dog got home he was ravenously thirsty and hungry. Just the facts, and it s a shame because we were hoping for a back up kennel for when the one we usually use was booked.

We have had it with this place. Expensive grooms that were not completed, paid $300 for puppy training & every time we went they either couldn t find our trainer or today we went & all the trainers were at a dog show. Barking Oaks is the only place we now take out 120lb Cane Corso puppy. With VIP rooms, good mattresses and place beds. Attention given and care taken to ensure absolute peace of mind. Secure location with (1) state of the art training facility a (2) Doggie day resort for play dates . Handy with distancing socialization challenges (3) Dog boarding with cater for frozen or raw food needs (4) Play area and obstacle course and (5) Grooming and washing services onsite! AKC (American Kennel Club) rated dogs have been in their care, experience is vast. We have been given so many tips and behavior insights that have enhanced our relationship with our puppy. I made a reservation back in October to board my dog from the 17th of December until January 2nd. I was told there was a $50 deposit required that would be refunded in the event I needed to cancel the reservation, as long I cancelled by December 14th. We decided to take our dog with us, so I called on December 13th to cancel (they were closed on the weekend when we made the decision, so I had to wait until Monday to call). When I inquired about the deposit being refunded, the woman I spoke with became huffy and told me she would have to call me back about the refund. Of course that didn t happen. It is not about the $50, it s the principle of the matter. Businesses need to adhere to their policies or change them if they feel those policies are not conducive to their success. This kind of shoddy business practice raises questions as to the quality of care they provide with their boarding services. I will never attempt to use them again (we travel at least twice a year and typically seek boarding services) and I will sharing my experience with others looking to board their pets.

I had made a boarding reservation (regular suite) for my dog for the week of thanksgiving. I booked weeks ahead of time. When I got there to board my dog, I asked to see exactly where my dog would be. As the lady walked me back through the facility, she told me they were over booked and so they put dogs in their extra space . She walks me into basically a small garage with 4 large kennels. The kennels were big enough for the dogs to stand and turn comfortably but nothing more, no outside access, no room to walk around and definitely no room to run. I was extremely frustrated as my dog would have been there for an entire week and I was NEVER notified about this. They didn t even discount the price considering it was literally a large kennel compared to the regular suites that have outside access with a run way. I feel bad for the dogs that were confined in that little space without their owners knowing. I asked for a refund and will not be taking my dog here after this situation.

I had been disappointed with the grooming my now 5 month old miniature poodle Seemed Gracie Love just keep looking the same and worse. I finally reached out to Barking Oaks . I was told they had a lady that did only doodles and poodles . I took a shy of relief just hearing that. Immediately she showed me her progress. Our puppy was out of a certain brand of dog food that I buy here, so came here to buy more. They just had a 30 lb. bag and I just needed 5 lbs. So they opened the one 30 lb bag they had and put over 5 lbs in an awesome container for us. Then said here you go with a smile. So Dad asked how much do I owe you, and she said nothing. Dad was like oh no I need to pay you something. Then she said oh no, thats okay. The puppy needs to eat. What an amazing place. Very pleasant and helpful every time we go there.

When it was time to say goodbye to my best friend Blue, Barking Oaks staff made him feel comfortable and gave him a spa day. I called at 4pm to schedule grooming for my two schnauzers. One is a 6 month old puppy and this he his 1st time at a groomer. They told us to come right in and picked up about 7:30pm. People is not professional, I took my dog for day care and they obligated me to pay for behavior evaluation for day care, they did not evaluate her, the did not put her on day care if they have it. The staff is always very friendly. Hansey always treats us more like family, rather than a client. They are knowledgeable on dogs with anxiety. This is the only place I will leave my german shepherd when I go out of town. When I came back into town, I was barely going to make closing time so I called them and they waited for me so I could pick up my dogs that day. Do NOT take your fur babies here. Dropped our Great Dane off for four days. Requested for him to have a bath and nails clipped. Owner claimed our dog tried to bite the groomer. Mind you we NEVER receieved a phone call of this incident while away. Our dane is terrified of a cat and would NEVER bite. They do not know how to handle large breeds and are unable to care for large breeds. They claimed they did not have another number to call us about the incident but just 2 days prior called about giving our dog Pumpkin for his upset stomach. Completely unprofessional. Do not take your large breeds dogs there!!!

They are SO responsive and communicative. I left my parents in charge of my furbaby while I was out of town, but he kept escaping and I decided to put him in a boarding place. Being far away it was nerve wrecking because I couldn t check out the places in person! They were so kind and understanding! They even sent me pictures of how happy he was there. The dog breed I own is known for being very strong willed, an independent thinker and very resistance to obedience training. Prior to coming to Barking Oaks we had been through 3 obedience training classes,, without sucess. But after just a few months at Barking Oaks I was amazed how my dog had changed. He listens, comes when called and sits on command. We now go to daycare at Barking Oaks 5 days a week. I cant say enough about the owner and staff. The facility and training is state of the art. If you love your pet like I do,, this is where you belong. Barking Oaks you have my highest recommendation.

I have taken 3 pets over the past 4 years (I took one of my rescues who never cooperated with grooming due to several behavior issues and she always came back beautiful) and will take my newest puppy here. The groomer is knowledgeable about different breeds understanding the special grooming needs of each and seems to genuinely care for my furry family members....I would recommend you give them a try!

This is by far the best grooming Texas has to offer! They also have boarding, doggy daycare and the list goes on and on. The staff is so welcoming and their love for animals shine an through, you will totally feel comfortable leaving your furbabies in their care. They gave me a tour of the place, squeezed my furbaby in last minute for a groom and noticed my pups ears were irritated and brought it to my attention. They also sale treats, offer spa treatments and sale other supplies for dogs in which I was able to get something for my pups ears all in 1 stop! My dog smelled so good and they put a sparkly bandana on her and she just looked amazing and was so happy! Treat yourself and pup to Barking Oaks Pet Resort!

I absolutely love this place! Our experience has been awesome every time we bring our puppy, Bailey, to them! He has learned so much in the dog training classes and has done a complete 180 degrees on his behavior. He has also learned alot of cute tricks too. They have great grooming as well and always do a great job which is very refreshing considering the not so pleasant experience we had with Petsmart. We have also had a good experience with the boarding too and recommend this place to anyone. We absolutely love the owner, trainer, and entire staff! They are very friendly and welcoming every time we come. And our puppy, Bailey, just loves this place so much that he tinkles every time we drop him off!

When the pandemic started I struggled to find anybody to groom my puppy, then I found Barking oaks. They had availability right away for my pup and she knew exactly what I needed for my pup, I could tell once I picked him up he had a great time playing with other dogs and the employees. I get compliments all the time on my pup everywhere we go. I definitely recommend this place to anybody needing their pet groomed!

Literally the most unprofessional business, I have a miniature schnauzer that I have brought her many times. The last time I picked him up he had a allergic reaction. I realized as soon as I got home and whenever I try to call and file a complaint hansy had the nerve to hang up on me.

This place is amazing! My dog loves coming here! The owner Hansy treats my pal, Kosmo, as one of her own. She s hard working and constantly making new upgrades to Barking Oaks to keep you and your pal wanting to come back. I wouldn t want to take Kosmo anywhere else but here! He gets to play with his friends, gets his nails clipped, and comes home smelling like a brand new dog after his bath.

I ve been coming here for a year and it s been awesome. My Yorkie started going at 4 months old; they have treated our Rocky as there own to make him comfortable. They have the best service and makes it so personal. They are very professional and easy to get in with appointments even if it s last min emergency they make it work. Highly Recommend!!!!!

Hansy Howard at Barking Oaks Pet Resort has been utterly AMAZING with Hamlets training. She is all about positive reinforcement and only using corrections when necessary. She has taught me about fair and unfair corrections, which is something we are all guilty of without realizing it. Hansy is teaching me to how to understand my pup and how he learns best. This is building a great and strong bond with my lil Ham Bone. So thankful for her time, understanding, and patience. Hansy is the real dog whisperer!!!!

Called and was able to get a last minute appointment for my Husky who was shedding his undercoat and was in dire need of grooming to clean up his coat. They did a wonderful job and made my pup look nice and clean with a cute little bow tie. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love this place and my pit bull puppy, Kane simply cant get enough. Barking Oaks is an everything your dog will need type of facility. The people here, will love your dog like their own. My puppy has been training here since he was 3 months old and he listens so well now. The staff is friendly and cared about our needs as new parents to a surprise Christmas gift from a family member to my kids. So we were in total shock and down right nervous of the idea of having a pet. Im so glad we came here for puppy training!

I can honestly not say enough good things about Barking Oaks. My Simon goes to daycare 5 days a week and absolutely loves it! Hanzi and her team are basically like extended family at this point. I have boarded him overnight several times. I was even admitted to the hospital at one point and they went above and beyond to make sure my pup was well taken care of. The facility is super nice already and is now getting a brand new building and renovations to other areas. I will for sure be coming here as long as I m fortunate enough to have a dog in my life!

I spent over $100 for my fog to get a bath here. The bath was JUST a bath. They didnt dry him or deshed, express glands, clean ears, anything like that. It was a bath and brush. At Petco its $85 for all the above services plus a nail grind.

Finding a great place for our dog has been a longtime challenge until now. No doubt that our Max had a wonderful time there and was loved on. At some other places our dog actually drew back when we tried to pet him after pickup...big concern as to what caused that. But here, we picked up a very happy Lab.
