Took a party of 18 people on very short notice. It was their re-opening day; previously closed due to the tornado damage. I m sure they did we re not expecting to serve such a large group but they provided exceptional service. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers, entrees, and wine. Downtown Temple doesn t have many good eats and I m very happy they are open again.

We came here for a late dinner last night. It was our first time back since the tornado. They did an amazing job with the decoration, environment, lighting of the smaller room. The service has always been great at pignettis. We quickly got seated and our server was attentive without feeling like they were hovering over us the entire night. The food was amazing, and we always feel Pleasent stuffed when we leave pignettis. It also didn t feel too overpriced for the quality and service.

Made a reservation for 17 Aug @ 6pm . Arrived at 540pm to ensure staff had an opportunity to seat us on time. DID NOT HAPPEN!!! We were the only African American faces in the establishment at this time. The presumed manager came out and greeted us while we waited for the table to be prepared however a large (group of 10-13) walked right in and were immediately seated. Sad to say we were not seated and had to stand and at the entrance waiting for another couple that was obviously not done dinning to pay and leave before we could possibly be seated. So myself and my husband made the decision to take our $$ elsewhere. To take the time to make a reservation and still not be seated for the perceived notion of not being part of the target audience due to skin complexion is deplorable and unwarranted. as a dual military couple of over 30+years of combined service to this country that loves the area we will absolutely not recommend this establishment to our fellow brothers and sisters in arms who work very hard and may not have the opportunity to step out with their loved one on a simple date night.

I love the independent business enthusiasm of Pignettis. Great food, easy experience, and great service. They care about their customers and their food and want to accommodate you to take great care of you! Our team had not one but two business dinners for 15-20 people here during a recent trip to Temple, and we cannot say enough about how much we appreciate how well Robert Hernandez and his team went out of their way to accommodate us. One night was in the main dining room, and one night was in the private dining room. Thanks for everything! It bears repeating: Great food, easy experience, and great service.

The braised beef and mushroom stroganoff may be the perfect dish. Every bite was pure bliss. The serving size was generous, and you could easily take half home for another meal if you have the willpower to stop halfway through. And the toasted ciabatta slices and oil that start the meal were pretty awesome, too. Service was top-notch. The staff clearly took pride in doing their jobs well, and they succeeded. And the music was kept low, allowing for easy conversation at a reasonable volume. When was the last time you were in a restaurant that understood that music belongs in the background, not so loud that diners have to talk loudly? The only downside? We had to drive from the other side of the county to eat here. But it was more than worth the drive!

I ordered the Spaghetti Arribiatta here or spaghetti with meatballs. The food temperature was just the way I like it, the marinara sauce was well seasoned and not too salty or too spicy.. Well done! The meatballs were cooked too perfection and nice and juicy and they werent stingy with giving them out either lol.. I wish they made sweet tea though. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm the service was great. I will eat here again!!

My daughter wanted her 18th birthday dinner at a nice restaurant, not a popular chain one. Pignettis is that for sure. The atmosphere is calm and sophisticated feel, but very welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We had 17 people aged from 4 years to 70 years. They were nice to accommodate some food requests for picky eaters with no problems. We were all trying one anothers dishes, being our first time there. We were there roughly 2 hours, maybe a little longer. It was excellent. This would be the perfect date night place as well. Vegetarian options: I noticed many things on the menu that didnt have meats. Were more veggie and cheese foward. Dietary restrictions: They had one child that will only eat steak(brown meat). We ordered round steaks, no sauce(meatballs). We also have family that needs gluten-free, and they had options. Kid-friendliness: If your kids have manners and know how to sit in a restaurant without getting up to run around. It is a small place and tight seating.

They made us pay for food that we never received. When questioned about it, the manager said that Uber stole our food....the bags were sealed. Then she said that we need to come get the food or my kid would have to wait to eat until our next visit. This is theft. Plain and simple. She then hung up on me when I told her she owed me a meal delivered right now. These people steal money when overwhelmed with orders. Its normal to them. It took 2.5 hrs for delivery on top of all of that. Food cold as the managers heart.

The food was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and so much flavor. We went on a Saturday late afternoon and it wasnt crowded at all. We went for my brothers birthday and brought a cake which they asked if we wanted them to store it and bring it out later, and they did and even brought plates and put a candle on it. I made a reservation for a birthday celebration with out of town friends. I had been bragging on the ambiance and the food. We got there and were taken to a separate room by way of outside that does not have the same feel as the main building. A bit disappointing but not a deal breaker.This is what was. The service was just not like a well oiled machine tonight. We ordered appetizers. Those which took awhile. We then ordered our meals. We all ordered salads. We waited forever. No salad came. We waited quite awhile and out comes our food. Then the salads. Salads should have come long before the meal. Lots wait time between servings. Just wasnt with it tonight.Our waitress was very friendly. I felt it was a combination of her being new and the kitchen maybe not being staffed properly thst maybe the food didnt keep flowing but all at once.

My husband used to be a waiter and told me what happened after the fact. Were Black. African American. The 1st waiter refused to wait on us and got the manager to get someone else to take the table. Our waitress was very nice. They grat for parties of 8 or more. There were 7 people in our party. They gratted us anyway. Our waitress would have probably received more than 20%. I was excited to come back but i doubt that will happen.

I discovered Pignettis about three months ago; enjoyed their fettucine alfredo then. I have been to Pignettis three times since, most recently yesterday for a holiday lunch with colleagues. I have tasted their blackened salmon salad (thats a meal), tuscan chicken marsala, and a penne dish (i cant recall the name) these three times. Amazingly consistent quality of food. Just a little salty for my taste but throughly enjoyable with the added parmesan shavings that they generously sprinkle. The wine collection is fabulous as well even though i go with their recommendation each time. If you visit dont forget the delicious bread. Ask for the bread - strangely enough they dont bring the bread unless you ask. I thought it was a bid odd when the waiter insisted that i ask for bread! Overall great food, good experience.

Went here for an anniversary dinner. Sat down at our table. Every other table had a candle lit except for my table. Our waiter rushed us to take our order. We put in our appetizer. Still didn t get any bread. We put in our orders and they came very fast. Appetizer and bread still didn t show up. I asked for them finally and they showed up when we almost got done with our main meal. Then we got our check and he didn t come back for 10 minutes to come collect it. Then I get a notification from my bank that my card got charged twice one for my meal and for another persons meal. I brought this up to him and he said his manager messed up and voided a different card. For this many mess up, there should have been something taken off of the bill or the meal discounted. Will not be coming back due to terrible service.

We were driving through town heading back to DFW when we picked this restaurant to dine at for lunch. Not only was the food fresh and delicious but the atmosphere was authentic, warm and inviting. What really set this place apart was their customer service. We accidentally left our credit card there with the chaos of young kids and traveling and by the time we realized it we were over an hour away. We called them and they told us not to worry that they would mail it to our house asap. We were so relieved and thankful. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone!!

I knew this was going to be a great experience when i walked in and the entire entry was stacked with cases of wine! Started with the candied bacon, sausage and cheese appetizer and it kept getting better. You may need a few minutes with so many excellent entrées to choose from. The lasagna was perfectly cooked and a generous portion, I regret not trying a peice of pizza a co-worker was offering that was loaded with meat and cheese. Easy street parking nearby on a Monday night at 7:30.

The food was very good. However, it was served lukewarm. I really enjoyed the fresh parmesan cheese. I had the chicken parmesan for my entrée and the crème brûlée for dessert. We joined a group of wine enthusiasts for a private dinner and wine pairing event presented by Catana Zapata. It was a lovely event with great conversations and amazing food prepared by Pignettis in-house chef. My favorite wines of the evening were the Chardonnay, followed by the Cabernet. For the food, the empanada was crunchy and light. The Buratta salad course was delicious and refreshing.

I was properly greeted, which is always a good sign, Janet was my waitperson and was spot on for attentiveness and accepting special instructions for my to-go order. I thought the meals were great. I was in not in any hurry and leisurely drank my beer. After taking in the ambiance, I wish I was able to eat my meal there. It was very interesting to be within earshot of the kitchen and hear the directions being given. It was a pretty good show. For a C-note it was a very good experience and had intrinsic value and quality. The meal and dining experience is way more than what is presented on the plate. Three meals, a beer while I waited, and a tip for Janet was worth every penny.

This is the 3rd time in the last year we have gone here and we only went this time because we won a gift certificate. Started with a snake with house dressing, tatted like or balsamic vinegar, thefood was cold, the meat was tough, and very small portions for the price that you pay. Only saving grace was the dessert, although overpriced. You can go to a small mom and pop owned place and get better food and at a reasonable price. Last time we will be going here thats for sure!!! Four years ago, we moved to Temple and Pignettis has been our favorite restaurant ever since. We also went to celebrate there after our elopement. They have a good wine list, great food, and excellent service.

Last Saturday was our second time to try Pignettis.First time they served me a raw pork chop. Last Saturday I got the special chicken scampi- very small portion and super dry. WORST meal in a long time. Fri, 8/4. Ordered the small Ossobuco and Veal Piccata. The Ossobuco meat was full of strings/globs of fat - also over cooked so that the meat was dry and stringy. The Veal was also overcooked and therefore dry and tough. Could never find the waitress when needed. Probably the worst part - when I complained about the Ossobuco to the waitress - she simply ignored the comment - no recognition of the situation of any kind - no mention of replacement or report to kitchen, etc....NOTICE how all the glowing reviews FROM YEARS AGO are moved to the top.........

High-end, Excellent service, clean beautiful atmosphere. Made fresh Italian cuisine. Try the Braised beef stroganoff lobster Ravioli, Sheppards pie and tomato basil soup. Delicious!! Lunch will cost around $30 a person. Free parking on the street, can get busy. Plan a head or make reservations. A must try!

High-end restaurant. Excellent service, delicious Italian food, made from scratch. Beautiful, clean atmosphere. It costs around $50 per person for an appetizer and main dish, so be ready to spend, but it is worth it if you want to treat yourself or celebrate. Parking is free on the street.

Yesterday was the first and unfortunately the last time I will be going to Pignetti s. The food was good, the service was great! I don t mind paying $48 for a steak, or $12 for 1 glass of wine. What I can not accept is paying $3.00 for bread service what is that? Or having them add 3.5% on the bill for a credit card fee I hate credit card fees, and would have paid cash to avoid the fee, but it was already added to the bill, so I just smiled paid the bill without bringing it up and left. Unfortunately we will not be returning, their $6.50 in nonsense fees cost them a monthly customer, I hope it was worth it for them Response from the owner We also aren t happy to add these charges. We are currently living in different times for small business and have had to adjust to survive My response to the owner Sir I understand having to increase prices due to the current economic situation. I don t think you re going about it correctly. Raise your prices, that is fine, I (and many customers) don t mind paying good money for good food and great service. But sneaking in bread service and credit card fees on the bill left me very disappointed. We go out to eat way too often (3-5 time a week) and was happy to find another place to add on our rotation . Then the bill with the hidden fees came and ruined it for us. We wish you the best and hope your decision was the right one for you and your establishment, but it did cost you a potential regular customer.

My husband and I ate at Pignettis last night and had an excellent experience. When our food was delivered the manager immediately came over and asked my husband if they could make his dish over because the manager saw it was too well done for his (the managers) liking. Then the manager noticed my husband didnt have his food 10 minutes later and checked on the dish. My husband and I didnt even complain about anything and we were given a free dessert. It was clearly busy and our drinks were always filled. The food was delicious but even if it wasnt I would go back again based on the service alone. Great job paying attention to customers, Pignettis!

This was our first time to try this place. Were both of Italian heritage and have eaten a lot of good Italian food over the years, so were a little picky. With that said, Id give the food a very good 4 stars. We had crab cakes to start, I had veal scallopini, very good, and wife had the black truffle sacchetti, could have been hotter. We had wine and shared a chocolate cake for dessert. The wait service was good but we had a trainee who was trying a bit too hard. The atmosphere was nice but the table at which we were seated was a little cramped with the adjacent tables. The wine list was amazing and they offered several options by the glass. I had a delicious ruby port as my dessert. The prices were reasonable considering everywhere is high these days. The wine was a bit too expensive but I think this is their thing. I thought the hostess could have been more welcoming, I dont think she said anything more than this way. Overall I give it a solid 4, small details could have made it a 5.

First time on a Thursday night. First of the location is overcrowded. They are trying to fit too many customers. The wait staff was having to squeeze through the chairs between the customers and unfortunately bumping customers. Second, they charge you a 3.50% credit card charge. It s a pretty success restaurant from what we could tell. Why charge your customers the use of a credit card considering the prices are not necerarily cheap. We spent $105 for two (2 glasses of wine, 2 meals (chicken/fish), two salads and bread service which they charge for as well). We started out with one waitress who took our order. Then another waitress took over. Our meals came and they brought my husband the wrong fish dish. I basically ate alone while he watched. Same thing happened when his fish dish finally showed up. To remedy the mixup they offered us a free dessert. Once the bill came the dessert was on the bill along with 3.50% credit card charge. When we mentioned it an individual who turned out to be the manager she seemed annoyed that we stated we were charge for the dessert due to the fact they messed up my husbands dish. They brought us a new bill. The waitress apologized but they were not very attentive since it s was just us two. The table next to us was neglected as well. It seems like the wait staff only cared about the big tables over 5 or more. They seem to get a lot of big groups. It sucks as it was our anniversary and we were excited about trying a new restaurant.

The food was really good. I was really hot in the building so I didnt eat much because I was just too hot. The waitress was sweet but I had to ask for more water a couple times. As an ardent patron of Pignettes Italian Restaurant, I approached their wine tasting event with much anticipation, looking forward to a delightful evening of wine discovery and expertly paired Italian bites. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. The event promised an exploration of four distinct wines. However, the paltry offerings of stale bread with salami for the first wine and a lukewarm meatball for the last were a letdown. The middle two wines were devoid of any food pairing, a major oversight that took away from the comprehensive tasting experience. Further marring the wine-tasting was the practice of pouring different wines into the same glass, preventing us from fully appreciating the unique characteristics of each selection. The events organization also left much to be desired. Our dedicated driver, who had ordered a meal, was served a lukewarm dish. This seeming lack of attention to meal timing and temperature was not only unappetizing but also raised concerns about the restaurants ability to effectively manage their kitchen during such events. This lackluster experience has unfortunately influenced our future plans with Pignettes. We had previously booked a four-course exquisite dinner, thrilled at the prospect of enjoying a variety of their renowned dishes. However, the poorly executed wine tasting event has led us to reconsider. We have now cancelled our reservation due to doubts about the restaurants ability to properly execute a complex four-course meal. The charm and ambiance of Pignettes Italian Restaurant, which weve appreciated in the past, were sadly overshadowed by this event. Instead of showcasing their prowess in pairing food and wine and reinforcing their reputation as a premier Italian dining spot, this experience raised questions about their service quality and value for money. While Pignettes remains a favorite of mine, this wine tasting event has undeniably tarnished its image. I would still recommend the restaurant for its usual dining service, but I sincerely hope they will take strides to improve the organization and execution of their special events. Despite this setback, I remain hopeful for the future and look forward to the day when Pignettes can redeem themselves, restoring our faith in their culinary capabilities and exceptional service.

My daughter and her husband have been to Pignetti s on a couple of occasions and had enjoyed themselves. But today when I ordered for take out, I was very disappointed. The Mediterranean Pizza had absolutely no sauce, no spinach, sparse mushrooms, Kalamata olives, a few leaves of artichoke hearts and a light sprinkle of feta cheese. They forgot to include the side of peperocini. The beet salad had no salad dressing, no goat cheese, no onions, and wilted salad greens! The grilled chicken Ceasar salad was much smaller than we anticipated. The charbroiled chicken was tasteless (no seasoning), burnt on the outside but undercooked on the inside! I tried calling Alan; the manager three times, was put on long hold twice and the third time no one picked up. I ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

It seems everywhere we have been the service could use improvement. But, the food was absolutely delicious!!! I had the spinach and mushroom tortellini and my husband had the blackened red snapper with shrimp linguine it was Soooooo delicious!!! Even the bread that comes out hot and fresh was sooo good!! We did have a rude waiter that was white bald and chubby kind of ignore us when we first walked in but a young girl rescued us as soon as she heard him be rude to us. Overall the experience was great and our waiter was named Ryan. He was good as well. Again the service could use improvement on manners,facial expressions, and comments they make to customers but, overall we would go back. Parking: They are in a district where there are many restaurants around and on a very busy night you might have to park blocks away.

We arrived at 11:05am on 5/4/2023 very first customers. Our server Agustina S. was amazing the food was great. Atmosphere was definitely bothering however I and my husband continued to chat and eat. 4 gentleman arrived and had different server then us, however they were given a complementary item to eat from the Chef which we were not offered that at all. I find that very amazing as I really enjoy Pignetti s I was very upset so I definitely didn t speak with anyone. I dislike the fact I will never give them my business anymore. Overpriced and pretensious. But thats just my opinion. Three stars to me, means average. 3 small rice balls were 12 dollars. Really?? 12 dollars? Beer was almost cold enough, but not.
