Went with friends, the shakes are to die for. I got peanut butter cookie and they got strawberry and peppermint. The food its self definitely wasnt worth the money that we had to spend on it. So I only would recommend coming here for a treat, not your meal for the day. Other than that, friendly and patient employees and fast service.

Drive thru only, hour+ wait, $12+ per person if get small drink and fries, meat cooked until charcoal, and the double cheese burger only had one patty. To add insult, called and tried to talk to a manager and was put on hold for 20 mins and hanging up at closing time. Furious, doesnt even begin to describe this...

I dont know what happened to the burger shop in the past year or so, maybe new management possibly? This place used to be amazing since i was a child but we went last night and the food was disgusting. But even more disgusting then their food was the service. The young girls working would intentionally be rude I felt. I ordered an extra cobbler...and you would have thought they had to make a new one the way they acted. They just stared and me then stared at each other, I even asked is there anymore left thinking that was the problem. That wasnt the issue though. The whole time they were rude and acting like I was wasting their time Long story short... we wont be back

They have the best French fries that I think Ive had stateside. A thicker cut is always better than a shoestring in my opinion and these are perfect. My burger was over by a lot, I asked for medium rare & got done. but it was still delicious. Ive never had a mushroom swiss with lettuce & pickle before. I ended up pulling them off. Again a personal preference for vegetables on burgers. The peach cobbler with ice cream was so good we ate the whole thing which we seldom do with sweets.

At this time, the restaurant is drive-thru only, which means the atmosphere is whatever you have going on in your car. Do not let drive-thru only dissuade you from placing an order. Meals were fresh and piping hot . Everyone was satisfied with their order, so the kitchen is 5 stars, with an overall rating of 4 stars.

After my first experience with the food there its my first choice for burgers in the Temple/Belton area. The burgers were juicy and the fries were hot fresh. If anything, the wait wasnt short or instant like other places that have the food made and waiting to be heated up... or cold.

We were looking for a great burger and a place to sit down to eat. They have not reopened the dining room since COVID, and we utilized the drive-through. We asked for condiments and were told they were in the bag, but they were not. My husbands burger while holding it up, you could not see the meat, but what little there was tasted good.

We drove up went to go in it said drive thru only. We proceeded to go to drive thru. While were sitting there in the line picking out our food they shut the light off to the menu. Mind you they were all just sitting at a table inside when we pulled up at least three people were inside. We pulled to the window he said wee are closed. 8:30 closing time this was 8:12 . The problem is nowadays no one wants to actually work. Bare minimum and thats it. Its sad so so sad

Large building with cool painting on the outside! The inside is closed and you order at a drive up window. The staff was friendly and took our order when we drove up. We ordered: Chili Cheese Fries! Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries! Double Cheeseburger with Fries! Mushroom Swiss Cheeseburger with Fries! We drove around to the other side to pick up our order. It took a little while but I think it s because they make it to order which is good. Fresh and hot! All burgers were made the way we ordered them. Good hamburger patties. The chili cheese fries were OK but nothing special. Tasted like canned chili and canned cheese! Will be back. Need to try their deserts! We had Burgers for lunch!

*Update* Tried calling to see if the lobby is open and the phone goes straight to busy signal. I was really hoping to give this place a try. It just seems like they dont care. I will not be trying again. *Old Review - STILL STANDS* Ive driven past this place tons of times. Moved into one of the loval neighborhoods a month ago. I was excited to be close to a local burger joint. We were hungry and wanted to try them out. 4 adults and 3 kids but werent able to go inside. Went to Hat Creek instead. Not only is their lobby open, so is the play area. Its too bad these people closed their lobby, now I will NEVER be able to try their food.

I like their burgers, but the patties sure have gotten small. They arent even the size of the bun!! I know things have gone up, the meat should at least be the size of the bun!! Loved Chew Chews 15 years ago when I lived here, still love them. Great proportion of meat on a burger, well seasoned, fresh toppings. Onion rings were delicious. They have good ice. Got 7 burgers in the drive through, most with customizations and they were made quickly and correctly.

Only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the lady at the window was very polite and pleasant. Fries were not even cooked they were limp soggy pieces of potatoes. Someone thought it was a bright idea to put 3 single burger 1 double meat and 2 fries into one greasy wet paper sack.... use your imagination on how that ended. Also, how does tea taste like garlic? This is before you even take a bite out of burger. $35 not very happy. Please do better. You guys have been around a long time.

I know a lot of people might think these burgers are too fatty or whatever. But if you are craving a burger, you know youre not necessarily watching your waist or your health. I like them. Great old fashioned burgers and fries. Service was perfect. Lobby is closed currently, so I went through the drive thru. I got a cheeseburger, fries, Pepsi, and snow cone. The snow cone and soft drinks come with a thick, crushed ice. Very good! Loved the burger. The fries were hot and fresh. Generous portions ( I upsized). Kid-friendliness: The snow cone was adorable. Good small size.

The food is fabulous and that is why it is so frustrating when I call to place an order 45 minutes before the closing time listed on the website only to be told that the grill is turned off. This has happened on multiple occasions.I was told that the manager wants everyone there to leave at 9:00 and that they are short handed. I get it- these days are hard, but please change the time on the website. I would like to add that everyone I have dealt with there is very kind. Great food, nice people

Was a coincidence that we came across this place. Wanted something close to the dance competition we attended and found Big Chew Chews Burger. The burger was delicious. I am not a big crinkle cut fry person, but their fries (crinkle cut) were delicious. Seasoned perfectly. Will definitely go back.

Surprised I havent thought to visit this place when its just down the road. The foods freshness, flavor and customer service were good. Although, I probably should have upsized the fries (not many were provided), and the drink was 90% ice. After visiting a few other burger places I feel that I need to adjust my review, given the value here isnt as great as I first thought. There is also no indoor dining area, they had to wave me down to go through the drive through.

Pretty sure I got someone elses order, so just traded my daughter. I ordered the smokey bacon cheese burger, nothing extra on it. My daughter got the chili cheese dog. The only good thing was the burger wasnt a flat cardboard piece of surprise meat. Otherwise there was no smokey cheddar flavor at all. That and they put onions on a plane burger. The buns where soggy and fell apart. My un sweet tea was soda(we had all ready left at this point.) My daughter traded with me. Even though the bun was soggy. The chili cheese dog was pretty good. The fries are just fries. Friendly and fast service. As a side note*** I am sure if I had time to go back they would have fixed my order. So thats on me.

The bacon cheeseburger and cheeseburger I ordered were amazing! It reminded me of a good old country burger with all of Grandmas love in it. The fries, on the other hand, were extremely disappointing. They were overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. They were seasoned with plenty pepper but lacked salt. I recommend the burgers, but good luck with the fries. Kid-friendliness: They do have kids cups.

Hands down one of the best home style burgers I ve eaten in a while. You don t get a good tasting burger or anything now a days. Ordered their Cheeseburger combo with everything on it & Mustard of course as well as a kids meal cheeseburger. My little boy ate his whole burger that says a lot, cause kids are usually picky eaters. It s a MUST TRY BURGER JOINT, YOU WONT REGRET IT. Counting on the days, hours, & minutes that I ll be coming back to grab another bite to eat. Thanks again Big Chew Chews for an incredible experience & delicious meal. We tried the Berger for the first time and it was a disappointment. The patty was nothing to chew on. I ordered 3 patty Berger and the patty was smaller than the bun. I ate more bread than the patty. It was also flat and thin. I gave decided to give them a try the second time and they closed an hour early. The employees were expressing out loud they can t wait to leave that place. How about this restaurant does the whole town a favor and close for good if this is how a restaurant is being operated. Don t come here to chew on a whole lot of nothing.

Big Chew Chews has some absolutely amazing hamburgers! They will cook to order with grilled onions, vegetables, condiments, or bacon, and they toast the buns in butter on the grill. I am so sad that they do not have tater tots anymore, but I love the seasoning on their fries. The milkshakes are great. You can mix and match any flavors. And the artist did a great job on the mural (wink!)

This is one of the BEST places to eat around. Almost everything on their menus fabulous. Their Cajun patty melt (pictured), the pepper jack burger (pictures) or a regular mushroom and swiss- yummy!! Great service and FANTASTIC food.

Had the opportunity to come and try some burgers, got a kids burger, mushroom swiss, and a bacon cheese burger, Cajun fries, and strawberry cheese cake milkshake, wow kids burger is a kids size perfect for 4 year old girls. All the burgers were fresh and delicious, milk shake didnt disappoint at all. Marc the cook did an amazing job, thank you for the great food amazing staff and service

Oh how I love home made burgers. I love the place, even thou the lobby is closed, but the drive thru is open. Finally, a drive thru where you can talk face to face and not with an intercom, sometimes those are hard to understand. The staff will make you feel at home, as if you know them for years. Food; home made burgers, down to earth delicious, I got the double bacon cheeseburger, my wife the chicken sandwich club, she was amazed by how good it was. Nothing to complaint about this place in this visit, and I sure will be back. Excellent job.
