Parks On The Green is a wonderful, affordable option for apartments here in Temple. The manager, Amanda, is a delight and all of the maintenance staff are friendly and responsive. The weekend office staff is wonderful. My only complaint with the staff is the weekday leasing consultant/office assistant. Ill just say that I recommend that you request to deal directly with Amanda. If you must deal with Sandy, please be sure to follow up with email confirmation of any information received. When I moved to Temple in 2019, my credit was challenged. Amanda took the time to interview me and took a chance on renting to me. I lived here for two years and then relocated to another part of the state for a year. When I decided to come back, Amanda immediately put me on the waiting list for another unit. The apartments are older than a lot of complexes here in Temple, but they are maintained well, and the grounds are beautiful with mature trees. Rent increases are reasonable and communicated well in advance of lease renewals. Maintenance problems are handled quickly. I have referred three other families to this complex and they ve all chosen to rent here.

I have lived here since way before current management took over when it was still called Westgate. I originally lived in another unit for 8 years and it was rough real rough before the current managers Amanda and Sandy as well as their maintenance crew took over. Since they took control everything has been awesome around the complex. They take great care of the complex and apartments. After 8 years my wife and I moved out of state for about a year and a half but decided to come back and there was only one place we considered and that was Parks on the Green. We could have lived at any place in Temple but because of Amanda, Sandy and the exceptional maintenance team we chose to come back here. It has been over 3 years since I moved back in and I love this team. They constantly strive to make this a premier place to live and are always on top of their game. I havent had any issues with them at all and as far as the apartment I feel completely at ease living here. They are like family and truly care about their tenants I recently lost my wife of 22 years and they take the time to check on me just to make sure I am alright. I can only speak to my experience but would highly recommend anyone looking for a nice apartment despite it being an older complex I would say Parks on the Green is the place for you I know it is for me and I intend on being here for many years to come! Only have been living here for less than 2 weeks and the bathroom doors don t shut my ac and heater doesn t work the guy car in and fryer to fix it but almost killed himself by shocking himself and when he did that it messed up everything in the kitchen so now I m going to haft to buy a new microwave, the refrigerator turns on and off and it didn t stay cold anymore and the stove take so long to heat up anything to cook so if your looking to stay I would not recommend it

I have been living at Parks On The Green since 2018. Ive had no problems whatsoever. The office staff is great. Ms. Amanda, Ms. Sandi, and Ms. Penny all have hearts of Gold. If I have any questions or issues, they are addressed immediately. Maintenance staff is excellent, whenever I need anything taken care of as far as my apartment, theyre on it. I have nothing negative to say about the complex, from the first day I pulled in and signed my lease, I have been extremely happy. I give 5 stars no questions asked.

Was told the apartment was ready, it was not. It smelled worse than an ashtray and Sandy argued that it had been painted... might be a good place to live for some, but I had to find something livable. Wish I could take a picture of the smell

We ALMOST had the worst 6 months of our lives... everything seemed fine when we came down for the winter to spend time with grandkids, the apartment complex looked very nice and Sandy SEEMED nice, but had us sign papers before seeing it, then she gave us keys. The apartment REEKED of cigarette smoke, it was in the walls, carpet, AC. It was tough to breathe. We immediately went to the office, Sandy advised us to buy air fresheners, and try it for the weekend, because they had no other units and they DID allow smoking inside their apartments. I reminded her about the fact that we both have breathing issues (COPD and Asthma), Sandy asked if we had a CPAP, when I told her yes, she stated that should help ! She didnt care about our medical disabilities and was arguing that they painted... it cost us around 1k and a week to get a new place... if you are looking for a place to live, DONT SIGN ANYTHING until you know what you are getting into with these people.

Unethical practices. We completed the application process, including a deposit in good faith for a livable apartment. When we arrived, the apartment was smoke infested, and not properly painted or cleaned. They REFUSED to put us in another apartment or return our deposit. The only thing Sandy, the manager, offered to do was reimburse us if we bought air freshener.

Sandy, Amanda, and Penny were all great to me. I had two separate stays at Parks and on both year-long leases everything I needed was swiftly addressed. Not enough can be said about the office and maintenance staff and I will forever be thankful for their help. The units are not the newest in town, but they re still a pretty decent bargain for the area. Thank you all very much, Parks was always welcoming to us.

Temple is a GREAT city born and raised, these apartments are located in a seemingly nice area close to Walmart and HEB, I REALLY and TRULY wish I read the reviews before signing that lease, but I would never recommend ANYBODY MOVING HERE!!! It s literally ONE BIG DOG PARK!!! Sandy seems nice, Amanda doesn t give two s***s about you honestly!!!! They just want the money!! We are good paying tenants with impeccable renters history, with that being said we just didn t fit their demographic, the kitchen is SUPER SMALL, no counter space, roaches are HORRIBLE!!!! Doesnt matter how clean your house is, you will still have roaches!!!! Be careful how you discipline your children, they do call CPS!!! Our car was towed, even though we have a sticker on our car!!!!! Whenever you decide to go swimming make sure you wear your pool bracelet, so the pool hound doesn t come out and grill you about where you live!! If it wasn t for our UNCOMFORTABLE stay, we never would ve found our dream home!! Two things I liked about living there: the post office lady and our apartment was downstairs other than that, YALL CAN HAVE THE ROACHES

The management here has made this apartment complex home. Amanda is part of the UMHB family, so respectful and considerate and Sandy is always aware of what is going on. She will communicate with you if there is any concern going on. Every time I needed maintenance, staff would come on a timely manner with a respectful attitude. I give the maintenance so much props because they really tend to a lot of the physical needs you might need help with and you will always see them around working. I would consider Parks on the Green the safest complex in this area of Temple. Family friendly and student friendly, you will find your temporary or permanent home here. Consider this place your future home as Parks on the Green has treated me well the past 2 years. Thanks guys!

This was my sons first apartment. The management is so friendly. The property is clean, well managed and taken care of. Its a very friendly and quiet apartment complex. No disturbances in the complex or neighborhood. The neighbors were always quiet and respectful. The covered parking is a great add on right next to the apartment. For the price of an apartment you get a very large apartment the best in the area for sure for the price. The surrounding area is also very nice and quiet. Is a nice area. The new management has done a fantastic job making this complex a great place for people to live!

If I could go back in time and not sign the lease, I would. This is THE worst apartment complex I ve ever lived in. Rent is too high for the poor quality that is given. Floors are uneven. Feels like the floor below me is gonna sink right in. They promised us hard would floor all over the living room but when move in day came they gave us carpet flooring. Not to mention they showed us a model of the apartment we would get, we didn t actually see the apartment until all was said and signed. Management is RUDE and disrespectful. They don t care about us tenants they just care about the money. Appliances are constantly breaking. Within the first week of living here the door fell off the hinges, we figured out that in order for electricity to work in some parts of the house we have to turn on the light switch meaning NO you cannot watch the in the dark anymore if you live here. Makes it super inconvenient to be spontaneous with the living room furniture. So many things they left us in the dark about. It s a scam. Do not sign the lease!

Great experience living at this complex. It is fairly quiet, and the staff are always very helpful. Maintenance requests were typically resolved within 24 hours, as well. My only complaint is that the paint they use appears to be relatively cheap, and so overtime the steam from my shower would cause it to melt and drip down the walls. For the price, I would highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I moved in in Dec 2020 and have already decided that we will NOT renew our lease only less than 2 months in. Living on the bottom floor, the place is structurally unsound as it always sounds like the person above me is going to break through, I have to let water run for 30+ min to get hot water to do dishes, I have a smoker behind me (why put smokers next to non smokers) and I have complained of smoke carrying into my place, while my bf has asthma which has accelerated since weve been here which is a health hazard, not to mention that the place is janky and cheap for what we pay for. Not worth $779+ a month. I wish I could leave now.

My wife and I have been residents at Parks on the Green for many years now. We had lived here for many years before Amanda, Sandy and their crew took over and werent very happy at all. Since they took over this complex has become a warm and inviting place to be so much so that we actually moved out of state for a year and made the decision to come back to Temple and they were our 1st and only choice. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff. Maintenance is extremely friendly and kind as are the staff in the office. If you do have any problems they are on top of it quick! Amanda and Sandy are the best property managers weve ever had very blessed ladies. They care about their residence and even have annual get togethers for the residents. They care about their community very much and have made my wife and I feel like family. If your looking for a safe, caring complex in our area to live in this is your place. Our of all the places I have lived this is literally the best apartment Ive ever lived in. I signed a 1 year lease with my two roommates and we never had any issues with the staff! Every now and again when you are taking a shower the water would randomly get super hot and then super freezing cold and then go back to normal but that was pretty much it. We never had any issues with our neighbors aside from the fact that they allow smoking in the apartments but when my roommate expressed to them that the cigarette smoke was coming into our apartment through the Washer vent they came and capped it off and everything was great. I remember when these apartments were the Westgate apartments and they were HORRIBLE- I am so glad the new management is in office because it was such a pleasant experience. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACES TO ANYONE!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience after the AWFUL ONES Ive had in the past!

Absolutely terrible experience! Gates hardly work most of the time, All the apartments are infested with roaches before you even move in! The courtesy officer puts in false complaints and trys to force his way into peoples apartments without the right to do so. Yells and harasses his neighbors, yet he gets away with it all. Amanda the office lady has a huge temper. We had a leak in our ceiling and they wouldnt send anyone out to fix it and screamed and cussed me and my boyfriend out at 9am because we had to knock on one of the maintenance guys door to figure out how to get it to stop. Honestly about to have to break my lease to get out of here. Super cheap flooring, all 3 apartments we have lived in the flooring was messed up by the first day trying to move our fruniture in even while being careful. There is so much wrong with this place!

I have lived a lot of places over my 20+ year renting history. It is a rare find to get a place which checks all the boxes but Parks on the Green does. Great location (and the restaurant around the corner is great too!), good value for the money, and great staff. The renovations really are great. We did have some issues with the flooring and the staff bent over backwards to try and make it right. We felt like the staff (Amanda, Sandy, and Penny) were extended family and often visited the office just to chat. They truly care about us! Never have we been so sad to leave a place but I took a new job in San Antonio that paid double my job in Temple. This is a great place to live!

My family and I have been here going in 2 years and we love it! Can t recommend this place enough. It is a small complex so the management and maintenance knows everyone! Very quiet, if maintenance is needed they are there in a timely manner and stuff is fixed in a timely manner as well. If you have a problem with a neighbor or anything management does whatever they can to fix it or make it right. I ve never seen one bug in my apartment! They spray regularly, check fire alarms, and change AC filters regularly. I love this place!

Made the mistake of signing a lease here. Maintenance stinks. Reported a non works burner when we first moved in a month later it still hasnt been looked at. The courtesy officer on sight is hateful and nasty. Makes assumptions that are incorrect. Management doesnt deliver on promises. Cant wait to leave.

I ve seen a lot of bad reviews about this place but those are from a time when it was under different management. We have been living here since February 2018 and so far we re happy here. My only complaints are that the kitchens are quite small and the machine for loading money on your laundry card is located in the office. It can be inconvenient if you re a late night laundry washer like me and you run out of card credit after business hours. We had an issue when we first moved in with someone in the complex smoking a lot of weed inside and sending the smell into our apartment through the air vents but management dealt with the issue in a timely fashion.

It is not a bad neighborhood. Easy access to most locations around Temple. The apartment was recently partially updated. The appliances are older but they get the job done. The AC is a bit noisy but you get used to it. The rooms are large. The living room does not have lighting. The staff is very nice and efficient. The pool is cleaned regularly and a great size.
