Visited on a Friday night. Wasnt too busy. I had the Bubs Shrimp Platter while the wife had the Seafood Pasta. I would consider both to be middle of the road. The pasta was adequate but not on par with some of our other local establishments. The shrimp platter, as I said, middle of the road. Nothing to write home about. Now, lets talk about the gumbo. This is not gumbo by any stretch of the imagination. It reminded me more of Courtbouillon. It was very watery (roux is flour and oil....it should be thick) There was no Holy Trinity. There were no vegetables at all, other than sliced green onion. I have never, ever had a gumbo with zero vegetables. Here is a clue for the owners. Go to a gumbo cook-off and pay the winner a big chunk of change for the recipe. Becase this?........well, this should be an embarrassment. So much potential but misses the mark. The service was the best part of the experience. Likely not to return and I cannot recommend.

I know theyre known for seafood but I wanted the Smothered Hamburger Steak with onion mushroom gravy. The gravy was watery, dirty rice had no flavor and the steak was dry with no flavor. Maybe I need to try the seafood

The seafood is really good as well as the gumbo. The crawfish bisque is a little to creamy for my taste though. The drinks are spot on though with a very friendly staff. We love sitting outside on the bar patio.

I went to eat at Floyds Sugarland TX 08/19/2024. While the waitress that took my order was AMAZING, there was another waitress that name I did not get because I was so upset at the comment she made. She was speaking with a patron that was leaving as they were close to where I was sitting the cau Asian waitress with white hair stated I just want to see the debate the patron told the waitress its not until next week. The Caucasian waitress with the white hair said and I quotes hopefully she will be assassinated before then. I reported this to the manager but dont know if anything will be done to reprimand this staff. There was not an apology from the manager of any sort.

Honestly the food had no flavor. It says it is cajun seasoning, but where? I went with a party of 6 and we all left unsatisfied. Even the fries were bland. The server rolled his eyes as soon as I informed my family it was bad and never offered replacing it. Every time I signaled for his assistance, he walked by the table. I do not recommend and would not go back.

I was in town and was l was searching for some good ol crawfish in the area. So I googled it, Floyds came up! The food was really really good, however I was looking for crawfish since thats what it said they had to offer on Google. They didnt have any, said they just took off the menu a few weeks before that. The closest thing they had was a cluster of snow crab . So I ended up getting 2 clusters of snow crab and shrimp, with potatoes, sausage and corn. It was good and spicy. Overall it was good. The margarita was tasty as well. The other dish is a shrimp Alfredo sub kinda thingy and catfish. It was my cousins and was pretty good too, the catfish was !

Twas our first time here and so good. Seafoods are my faves, so we tried. I got the little Lafayette with grilled fish fillet, shrimp, hushpuppies, and jambalaya rice. The servings were just right, not a large one as we know Texas foods are huge per order. Our server was nice. We do miss the happy hour thoq which were faves too like shrimp ceviche, oysters, etc. Well def come back. I highly recommend it

Best place in the greater Houston area for seafood hands down!! The food is always fresh! The crawfish here are never dead or soft and are absolutely massive !!! Great vibes here! The inside has a nice open dining area with a full big inside bar but I recommend sitting outside at the bar and patio the set up is beautiful! The staff makes the experience that much better ! Always welcoming answering any and all questions with a smile while getting the food ouT QUICK! Can t forget about the frozen margaritas too . If you love seafood, margs, and good vibes then this is the place !!

I went there for lunch. I was greeted quickly. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu, and she was one of the best servers I have had in a while. I didn t have to ask for anything as she anticipated my need for a refill, made sure she checked on me several times. And unfortunately I cannot remember her name. This is my familys to go place for Sunday Seafood treat, especially their Cajun Seasoned tasty Crawfish . The atmosphere is just okay, not too pleasant, and service was sadly sloppy. I will definitely go back because of the well Seasoned food. The blackened Redfish was really juicy , and Strawberry Margaritas was nice. Parking: On a very busy weekend, parking may be challenging, but there is Methodist clinic behind with added parking area.

This review is on to go orders with this restaurant. They are adopting the same strategy a lot do of really skimping on take out orders. I have ordered the catfish in the restaurant and for $26 you get 5 large pieces of catfish, however if you order take out its 5 tiny pieces for the same price a complete rip off. The same thing happens at Pappadeaux so I guess these people decided to follow them....

I wouldn t recommend the seafood boil. However, they do fried foods real good and their fried pickles are the booooomb! Their steak is really juicy and I ve never had such seasoned flavorful Alfredo. I don t think I ll ever eat any other Alfredo. The chicken on top is SOOOO yummy!

Just assured I will not come back. Y all advised 5.99 crawfish on Sunday, but when I drove 30mins to the restaurant and waited for someone to help me. I was not dining in because I was by my self and don t like seating eating alone so I was getting it to go. I was then told it s only of dine in ( which is stated nowhere) and it would be 8.99 a lb. So Disappointed!! On Sunday, May 19, 2024 my family and I dined at the Sugar Land location after church. The food was okay, not seasoned and nothing to brag about. The most disappointing part was our to go order. We ordered 4 lbs of crawfish to go. When we got home the Crawfish was Horrible! They tasted like 5-day-old crawfish. Floys Seafood seems to be the go-to spot for seniors in Sugarland, but it fails to impress. The menu, which claims to offer Louisiana or Cajun cuisine, feels gimmicky and the quality is lacking. However, my biggest concern is with how they handle alcohol service. Every time Ive been there with a date, Ive noticed that the staff freely serves drinks to patrons without considering their intoxication levels. Allowing customers to leave clearly drunk poses a serious safety risk. This negligence is not only irresponsible but could have devastating consequences.

I really wanted to like Floyds because we love Cajun food! We ordered crawfish, fried catfish, and shrimp en brochettes. Crawfish was not seasoned well and overcooked. Catfish tastes dirty and flavorless. But the shrimp en brochette was what I couldn t get over. If you order the shrimp en brochette for $18.99 this is what you get! Shrimp en brochette anyone? Very disappointed! We ended up sending the shrimp en brochette back. If you are looking for good favorable Cajun food this is not the place!

The crayfish were excellent. The kitchen trash toasted cheese sandwich is great Wheelchair accessibility: We dined on a Friday night so we didnt think any handicap spots would be available. We found 2 regular spots next to each other so we had no problem with our handicap van. Nice little neighborhood seafood place. The food is ok, nothing especially memorable. They have a happy hour so you can pay $6 for some of the menu items. The food does come out very quick, unless you order oysters they take about 15-20 minutes. The gumbo is not good, it s not very seasoned and has a small amount of ingredients in it. The fried green tomatoes were hard and had no flavor whatsoever. The fried shrimp were small and cooked hard. It s a very casual atmosphere and the decor is less than exciting. We will probably not go back there for anything other than the oysters for my husband.

We had a working lunch function in Sugar Land. I definitely love seafood. So I was all in. We had a little bit of everything. Gumbo was ho hum. It needed more gumbo filet. The blackened filet was 12 oz. But it would have been an appetizer for me. The oysters were tasty . Crab finger appetizers were way too small. The crab cakes had awful remolade sauce. I took plenty of pictures and good feedback from each entree. But alas it was 20 of us. So I didnt snap all of them. I had the seafood platter. It consists of shrimp (6-8), oysters, 2 catfish filets, over a bed of fries, and two hush puppies. My meal was fried. It was okay. Nothing spectacular or worth having a second time. Parking is a premium there. And the restaurant is small even with a covered patio outside. The bathroom was clean and well kept. Always check that first before eating at a location for the first time. Vegetarian options: Two of my coworkers had salads.

This is one of my favorite places to eat at. The oysters are amazing! I wont eat them anywhere else. For lunch today the manager Denise came by to check on us and was so welcoming! She really made us feel like we were right at home. Ever since covid you dont get that type of treatment at many places, but Floyds in Sugarland is by far the best place in town.

Fried shrimp special is excellent the french fries were great. Hush puppies come with jalapenos and it includes boudin balls. We also had a wedge salad that was half ahead of lettuce and a bowl of gumbo.

The food was bland, overcooked, and simply not good. The atmosphere is very nice and clean. Dylan is an Amazing waiter, he made the experience sustainable. Try it for yourself though, maybe it was just a bad time for us. Oh, the garlic bread, 2 thumbs up!

This Floyd s location is the worst. Never in one day have I experienced such racism, unprofessionalism, and poor service. I ordered catfish pieces and it was not fully cooked , pink in the center, and the corn meal was old. However , the manager came to me abruptly and said we change our corn meal every 30 minutes. I said I m telling this is old , she said I m telling you it s not . After arguing with me she finally brought over my food with less pieces than I originally had . A young boy slammed the door in my face after I accidentally came back in and screamed you can t be in here and then another woman came out the door peeking at car! I ll never be back to this racist establishment !
