Me and my husband was there back in July the food was pretty good, but as far as service I had to give this place 1 star as one of their employees by the name of Valeria Tobar stole our card information and used it for Lyft and other purchases we are currently working with authorities to have charges filed. Please be mindful of your information when going to this establishment.

Update: We came back after a year to give it another try and this time it was better. Had the tilapia and wife had the flounder both good. My mom had the fried catfish, she said it wasn t that fresh. Tartar sauce bland and Coleslaw looked like bowl of chopped cabbage. 2023-This is our favorite local place to dine out for many years and we ve made friends with the friendly staff such as Lesley. Through the pandemic they remained open to serve great food. We were excited to come after they remodeled. Unfortunately the food was sub par to what we have grown to love. Wife s blacken flounder was dry and no flavor. Spinach and rice was also bland. Fish tacos came rolled up like egg rolls, fish was non existent and all I could taste was sweet coleslaw. Kids fried fish and burger was also lacking in flavor. Calamari wasn t bad but not as good we we known. This was the first time in over a decade here that all the dishes were bad. Service was fast and good as always. Maybe they changed cooks or they had an off day. We may come again to give them another try but if second time around is this bad it will be our last.

Massively disappointed in portion size of the Salmon on the Garlic Caper Grilled Salmon. It was pitiful and not worth the price. If you select Seasonal Vegetables as your sides, you ll get Broccoli. 3 stars instead of 2 bc food was cooked well and not burnt or undercooked. Taste was okay but hard to enjoy feeling ripped off. Food was packaged neatly and securely. Packaging material was good quality and not flimsy. Order was accurate.

Went two days in a row as I was staying at the hotel next door. Second day I ordered the oyster nachos which are always excellent!! I also ordered the chargrilled oysters. When they cane out they were too done. Our server took them back and brought out some fabulous chargrilled oysters!!! They apologized for the first ones and were so kind about it!! Then gave me some crab bisque to make up for it. I really appreciated that they made it all right and the food was great and our server was perfect!! Thank you! When we come back to Sugarland we will totally be back

Our server was a very nice young man. They gave us samples of their soups free of charge, thank you. Our entrees were cooked perfectly. Fish was light and flakey. The only negative for me was that the restaurant was a little on the warm side. With the kitchen open to the dining room, they really need to turn the air on. Especially on hot summer days.

Absolutely wonderful food and service. Was greeted immediately with a friendly hello and taken to a table right away. Server Valeria came over right away to get drink order and point out the daily specials. As a first time patron, I was provided with small samples of all of the soups which were delicious. I had the BBQ salmon tacos as an entree which were flavorful and plentiful. I was visiting from out of town and this was a highlight of the trip. Hope they expand into my hometown. Will be back.

Maybe the best clam chowder Ive ever had - light and plenty of clams. Their stuffed flounder was truly excellent - generous portion slightly grilled with just a hint of crunch and tender and flaky; not overcooked on the inside - with no bread stuffing only shrimp & crab with lemon aioli sauce. Served with spinach w almonds that hadnt been cooked to death and just slightly garlicy potatoes. Went in to have fish n chips but so glad I splurged on this ! Nice music too :-)

The location is tricky because of parking and traffic. We went on a Friday night at about 8 pm. The app said very busy but we were seated immediately. Our server, Bee, was amazing. Attentive without harassing us and brought samples of their delicious soups and gumbo. Hubby was sold on the gumbo! For dinner, we had the Seared Georges Bank Scallops and Applewood Bacon Wrapped Shrimp (Old Bay beurre blanc, garlic wilted spinach, mashed potatoes) and the special, Redfish Double Oscar (stuffed with crabmeat, topped with shrimp and hollandaise sauce). Both were very good portions and really tasty in different ways. The shrimp on each dish had completely different tastes. Both were very good. Didnt have room for dessert but we will next time!

This meal was absolutely indulging! As you can see, there was not much left on my plate. I had not been back in about 3 years and was pleasantly surprised to see that the food was still fantastic. My wife and I went to fish city gril in sugar land town center, we ordered some fried fish and shrimp. We waited for almost an hour, our food wasnt ready. We asked our server We ve been waiting for long time if there is any problem would like to cancel our order, no question asked he gave us the bill for two soft drink and appetizer for 18 dollars some change. During our visit I noticed several people came after us , got their food. I am sure they intentionally did not serve us. I will never return to this restaurant and would not suggest anyone, unless you are the kind of people they would like to have as customers.

Ordered via Door Dash: Ordered grilled Seafood Feast - First the dish smelled of old fish. Next my grilled oysters were tiny and fishy so obviously not fresh & the grilled shrimp, despite being visibly seasoned had absolutely no flavor...both required being doused in cocktail sauce to be edible. My husband ordered fried catfish which was not cleaned properly and tasted dirty. Our side order of grits was completely forgotten and left off the order, which despite paying $4.50 for, DoorDash only refunded $1.59. First timer... Based on the reviews my expectations were fairly high, but I was disappointed. My waiter, Chris, was very nice. I had the Chipotle BBQ salmon tacos with Cuban beans and rice (limited time item suggested by Chris). The ingredients were fresh, but lacked flavor and zero heat. The beans were pretty good - much better seasoning. As an app, I tried the fried pickles...again no seasoning but the pickles were very tart and good. I also tried the Espresso martini with the toasted marshmallow. Ive had Espresso martinis from at least 4 other restaurants and this one ranked the lowest. Not a very good flavor. The marshmallow was cute but unnecessary. Overall the pickles and beans were the best part of my $40 meal... ....90% chance I wont be back...

Ive been here several times & enjoyed it every time. Its one of the few places I go to these days which stays consistent. Staff is very warm & friendly. If not busy you are typically given choice of where youd like to sit. They also have outside seating if weather permits. Servers are prompt, courteous & happy to run the menu if any questions. Ive had several different dishes & all of them have tasted great. Some favorites are chargrilled oysters, scallops & crab bisque. There are several drink options that wont disappoint. Desserts are well done too. My favorite is the cobbler, when its available. Pricing is appropriate for what you are getting. In my opinion, this is a gem of a place. Its not common to visit a restaurant who excels in service, experience & quality of food. Definitely recommend them if youre looking for a great seafood spot.

Had to start out with the Grilled Ruby Red Trout. Though I am not much of a potato fan, I did think they were good. The second plate was the shrimp with some pasta. I cant recall the name, but it was mouth watering Sensation. Great atmosphere, although I didnt stay long as I was on a lunch break. I did get to taste what the feel of the place is. Hopefully, next time, I will cater to the atmosphere and vibes. I had their gumbo for takeout and when I got home to enjoy it, I was disappointed. It was awful. I am from Louisiana where some of the best gumbo is made. It had very little rice. Couple of floating orca s, 2 sausages and the roux was very dark brown, thick and bitter.. I could not eat it. Their food is usually great but they need lessons on gumbo.

Finally got some time to come by during happy hour, and I was not disappointed. I was able to get a few good oysters in me for $2.50 a pop. The shrimp and crab queso wasn t exactly what I was expecting, but it was also very good. Everything here seems very well-made and when you come in when nobody else is there, you can really appreciate the atmosphere. It seems like a very high scale place where you ll have to spend a lot of money. But I didn t spend any more than $30 for all this I got. My only great is that they don t have oysters Rockefeller. Honestly, that feels like something that would fit at a place like this. And they could give the guys at the Rouxpour a run for their money considering how over priced their oysters are. Parking: There s Pei parking in front of the restaurant but it s regularly taken up. If you can t find any spaces outfront, your best bet is to just go to the parking garage next-door. Kid-friendliness: Please don t ruin the peacefulness of this restaurant by bringing your children. This is a very nice place to eat and I don t want it overrun by people with no control of their kids.

To choose a restaurant to eat on a Saturday shortly after 9pm is not a good idea here. From entry the designated sweeper Peyton looks at his phone to make sure we knew what time it was and was not welcoming at all. Our intention was to get a good quick meal No need for the fluff however we got less than acceptable. Our server Victor had a rushed and stressful energy like his closing duties took presidency over serving our table. I asked for a Margarita, blackened red fish special with mashed potatoes instead of rice , bread and sample soup! Only item correct was red fish plate he didn t bother addressing the other requests. He dropped off my Margarita melted instead of frozen I asked what happened he stated the machines are being cleaned! I feel he could of explained to me that was the plight to give me the option if I wanted it like that not just give me a less than expected experience! Then Peyton the Sweeper sweeps dust and dirt while we eat He over hears me explain to my daughter that I don t like people sweeping while I eat! He leans in for attention to ask if I had a problem. I let him know I preferred ge not sweep near my food! He pulls out his phone to look at the time . I let him know I see what he s doing and he could start on the other side of restaurant. He explained he already did and his job description was I told him to get his manager! After what s the manager name?the Manager Angela asked how could she help she discounted the meal $10 . The disrespectful Sweeper had the nerve to return closer, continued to laugh and carry on Who chooses to drive more than 20 minutes to be treated like trash. Highly disappointed

It s like the Pirate s Cove on The Love Boat. Catfish is cornmeal crusted, just the way I like it. Rainbow trout was cooked perfectly. They even have andouille sausage. Great place to relax.

Ordered some salad that came with a piece of salmon to go. The staff were friendly and allowed me to sit at the bar while I waited for my food. When they brought it out, I should ve checked it. My salmon was completely raw. Wound up paying $20 for a kale salad and no protein.

Sorry to say, the fish and chips have really taken a nose dive. I have been going in there for several years and have enjoyed them. Lately the service and food quality have taken been lacking. Today the fish was so greasy and I had to send them back they were so soaked in grease. ugh. Get it together folks...

I often dine in here alone. I recently dined in with my son. It was his second time here, we went because he enjoyed a certain dish he had last time. Well, this time I waited a good 15 to 20 minutes for my drink. Our meals were already out. The bartender appeared to be uncomfortable serving me alcohol although I showed him my identification when he asked for it! I literally had to ask him for it and he said okay and the proceeded to serve other people that showed up well after my son and I was there. I didn t appreciate this at all. I m not sure what his problem was, but it was apparent that he had an issue. I didn t taste a bit of alcohol, lol it was juice. I will Not be returning! If I m a paying and tipping customer. I should received the same type of service as everyone else.

Happy hour is a good value, just make sure to order an additional helping of crab ($4) if you get their crab queso ($8), because otherwise you ll be left wanting for more. Shrimp nachos were also pretty good. Server was polite and attentive. Bartender put a salt rim on my draft beer for some reason not sure if that s a thing, or if it was a mistake; but, I ll definitely be asking them to skip it next time I go.

The outside area is perfect for friendly get togethers! We had a great time on a Sunday... It wasnt that busy! The views of the city street were very relaxing! Food is delicious and fresh!

A pleasant surprise, both honey chipotle shrimp tacos and herb crusted cod oscar were surprisingly tasty, however less of a heavy gravy would not be harmful. Very proficient and fast service, reasonable choice of beers on tap. One of the singular places where meat does not dominate menu, although no escape from mexican style dishes.

My first time to eat at this restaurant. I had the rainbow trout. The fish was very flavorful ! It was perfect. I would have given this review a 5 star but the spinach tasted bitter. I tried to finish it but just couldnt. I dont know if the garlic got burned thats why the spinach tasted bitter ?

The service was great. We ordered 7 items on the menu. We enjoyed everything. The grilled oysters were great, but the gumbo was one of the best Ive ever had! It was so good, I ordered a bowl to go. I definitely recommend!
