Quality of meat was a relief compared to other restaurants. Was being picky and did not want any previous fast food, chicken, burger, Tex-Mex, bbq- just wasn t feeling eating out. Not heavy on the stomach but filling. Polite staff. Ordered online pick up. Reminded of Southern California Hawaiian style fast food in a good way.

Really liked the chicken katsu. Wouldve loved it if I had poured its sauce onto the chicken. Separately, the chicken was tender with the right amount of crunch. The sauce was full of flavor. There were only three other tables when I was there so service was quick for only one server. The server was friendly and efficient. Love that its very close to AMC theater and that the food is much better than AMCs. Will definitely stop by again before a movie.

Food is great, the problem is the unprofessional owner. Walked in and it was empty, AC was off and suddenly turned on after a few minutes. Could only imagine how the workers are treated during this hot summer. While eating, the owner goes in the back and all you hear is his yelling. Horrible management, wasnt my first time here so I was definitely shocked! Love the food but unfortunately I dont support this OWNERS POOR and ABUSIVE MANAGEMENT!

I had a great experience at Teriyaki Kitchen! I absolutely adore the waiter! He had such fun energy! The service was amazing and the food was really good! I can t wait to come back for some Udon!! This restaurant must be paying google some money to boost their business. When I finish review, the rating went from 4.8 to 4.7 with number of reviews 222 to 223. Now the number of reviews still 223, but the rating is back to 4.8. Don t believe this high rating! This is called cheating! Original review This place is off chart in so many ways. I don t understand the high 4.8 star rating. We come in Sunday evening 6:00. Ordered one fry for kids, katsu plate, beef fried rice also for kids, and ordered seafood pancake, spicy chicken plate and beef udon for adults. After a long 30 min wait, the seafood pancake, note not the fry! Is the first to come. The waitress laid down the lone plate of pancake, a bunch of napkin wrapped fork and happily expected us to share food without our own plate. When we asked for plates and chopsticks, she just stacked the four serving plates on table and we are expected to serve ourselves. The pancake comes with a stinky seafood smell that my younger one immediately ask if they put stinky tofu. Surprisingly, other than the stink smell, the seafood flavor is non existent. The pancake has some sparing sprinkle of chopped squid each is the size of pea. No shrimp, let alone scallops or other seafood. The pancake batter is sticky to the teeth, bland, but somewhat crispy. Lacking the proper texture of the seafood pancake. Paying 12 dollars plus tax and tip for this stinky flake of flour clump is a total rip off. Next comes fry, and ketchup. The ketchup is watered down. Amazing! Then comes the beef udon. The waitress hold it with one hand, and at some point the soup washed her long thumb nail. She doesn t seem to be bothered at all. the soup is way too sweet and there is no egg. Color, aroma and flavor are all lacking, just sweet. Very sweet. Oh and, somehow there is a small piece of fry soaking in soup Katsu chicken plate is ok. Broccli is bitter. Katsu chicken meat itself has no flavor but at least is fried and kid is fine with it. Beef fried rice comes with bean sprouts, and my older one doesn t like bean sprouts. So I exchanged udon for his fried rice. Man, this is the worst fried rice I have ever tasted. The rice is wet and sticky. So sticky that it sticks onto broccli. The beef is , hm. The bean sprouts have rotten ends, and are unevenly cooked. Guess this is where the wetness come from. In one bite I tasted some corn that is sour. My husband s spicy chicken is bearable, but comes with a mysterious smell like cumin that I am not sure is supposed to be there. After the whole meal, I would say for an 80 dollars meal, Juicy Seafood buffet is way better. Even if the food there can be sometime hit and miss, it doesn t piss me off so much and make me feel that I am totally ripped off, even for such relatively low dish prices. Any ways, we live in walking distance, we will NOT be back again. The food here is indescribably unsatisfying.

Everything was closed this Sunday (Easter). Couldnt find anything but I found this place. Sign said Open and the lights were on. Turned out to be a great thing because the food was fantastic, teriyaki was to die for. I recommended this place to my coworkers and other people. According to the receptionist person, Easter 2023 was the first Sunday theyre open and apparently theyll be open for Sundays going forward. Awesome!

Sooo...Teriyaki Kitchen was recommended to my hubby and I a couple of months ago. And today we FINALLY visited. Ohhh my goodness...I dont know what took us sooo long to try this place, but we are sooo glad we did! . . . . . Game Changer!!! By far the BEST Authentic Korean and Japanese Cuisine!!! We ordered several dishes: Tempura Shrimp and Veggie Combo (super delicious and didnt make it in the picture), egg rolls (minus 1...sorry couldnt resist), shrimp fried rice, and the teriyaki combo chicken and beef with brown rice and broccoli. I have had food from Teriyaki Kitchen at least a dozen times. My orders have always been hot, very very flavorful and everything is fresh. I love this place and we order for our office regularly. Even people who rarely buy lunch now want something from Teriyaki Kitchen. When I realized the house i just bought was literally 1 mile from TK I felt I had a free upgrade. I now order weekly as it s great food at a reasonable price and the staff is always pleasant. I d give it more stars if possible. Keep doing what y all are doing TK!

Im a picky foodie and Im not sure if Ive ever even given a 5 star review but this place was easily 5 stars. We werent feeling good so we did curbside. I called when I pulled up and all that was said was coming!. A little confused I said I was here for curbside and they said Yes, Emily. Im coming right now!. A man then raced out, super friendly and continued to refer to me by name. Now thats great customer service! The food was in plain terms: amazing. The Teriyaki chicken was the best Ive had. It has that grill flavor. The teriyaki might be slightly sweet but hey, its teriyaki. The spicy pork was super tender and had great flavor as well. Not spicy like I would have hoped but nothing that some hot sauce couldnt fix. The fried rice was clean, fresh, and tasty. They gave us plenty. The stir fry veggies were also crisp and delicious. By far, I have not experienced any better service. First of all there was no wait time and they were able to seat our party of 8. They were also easy to help one of our friends that was allergic to eggs, wheat, and gluten. Joonhyuk even gave our group free ice-cream at the end. We had high expectations for this place considering the high rating for this restaurant. The teriyaki chicken my friend ordered was good but not the udon that I had : ( The udon noodles appeared to have two shades of colour (wished I had the picture to share) It was as if it was not well cooked because the texture was not soft to bite. We had the dish sent back for reheat but the result was the same. The staffs did not seem to believe us and tried to explain to us it was normal. We have had plenty of udons to know that that was not normal. That was the part that ruin the experience for us. :(

I was almost in disbelief to see a restaurant with over 100 reviews to have close to 5 stars. However, I can confirm that it is true and that it deserves a 5 star title. Teriyaki Kitchen is one of the best Japanese/ Sushi restaurants that I have been too. The service was exceptional and the food was beyond delicious. Weve been to several restaurants searching for the best chicken curry katsu and we found it in Teriyaki Kitchen. They have decent selection of seafood which is my main food as pescatarian. I like the seafood pancake, salmon teriyaki, shrimp roll, shimp yakisoba. Love their selection of music; good ambience. Hubby and I were looking for something close to home that we havent tried before and we were pleasantly surprised by Teriyaki Kitchen! Everything I have tried on the menu is amazing. The fries were surprisingly good...perhaps the best fries Ive ever had so far. The sushi tastes great, the chicken katsu, the teriyaki chicken, just everything. The staff are very friendly and the place is well-kept. Overall you cant go wrong here. Definitely going to come back every once in a while.

We found this place by accident and we are glad we did. The teriyaki chicken is good and goes well with the brown rice. It has just the right amount of teriyaki sauce. The potato salad is also good, very creamy, and not your typical potato salad. The prices are reasonable and they give you good size portions.

The food here is great, I had the 2 meat combo with fried rice, and it was very tasty. I was surprised on how good the food tasted for the price. The atmosphere was great too, nice modern looking restaurant, they play some radio music as well. Although the California roll was somewhat mushy, the fried food and teriyaki beef is what I would recommend, as their stand out good food. Overall, the all around quality and quantity was spot on, will definitely go back.

You cant go wrong with this place. A hidden gem. Everything on the menu is delicious. The prices are very reasonable. The staff were very courteous and friendly. The dining room was very spacious and very clean. We ordered and our food was out in no time. This place is located in a shopping strip and there are no issues with parking - there is plenty of parking. We will come back.

Those food shenanigans continue with me and my mom! My sister joined us today, so needless to say, it was everything honey. We decided on the Teriyaki Kitchen. I had never heard of this place, so I was a little nervous. We sat down, looked at the menu and hoped for the best. OMG. As my mom always says.. It was incredible!! My sister had a word also.. Delicious! Dont sleep on this place, because the service was just as great as the food. Three words.. Ill be back. Highly recommended and not to expensive.

We visited Teriyaki Kitchen, aka TKs and had dinner with another couple. Everyone was pleasanty surprised with our meals, and service was excellent. This was our first visit and I thought it was great, so much so that I want to just share. My Salmon Teriyaki was cooked perfectly, not dry and their delicious sauce was drizzed over the Salmon and the stir-fried vegetables, which were fresh, not over cooked. My side order of Kim-chee was flavorful and not too hot. Everyone at our table had only good things to say. The Teriyaki Beef plate, chicken/veggie dumplings, Pork Ramen soup and the TK bento box were delicious and all served at the proper temperature. The atmosphere is tasteful; simple and modern and the upbeat music was a nice added touch. TK offers a unique Japanese, Korean menu and our server Joon, was friendly and very patient. He explained the menu, answered our many questions and gave us extra time to study the menu, before placing our orders. It is obvious they take pride in the quality and preparation of their food. Everyone should try this new restaurant. We are all looking forward to our next visit.

Teriyaki Kitchen is a Sweet Find for Sugar Land. They have been open for less than a year, and a Must Try! This restaurant has a great feel with great music, and an amazing interior! Start your meal with the tempura combo appetizer, and complement any choice with shrimp egg rolls! They are both AMAZING! (Actually, order 2 of each! They are that GOOD!) [I asked about the 1 bad review, and was told that pickup order was finally picked up 1 hour late.] Service is caring, excellent and friendly! Teriyaki Kitchen is definitely in our rotation, now!

The sauce is thick and ok d looking as if it sat for a while. The veggies were undercooked cold, and unseasoned. The fried rice was not fresh and they drizzled some of that thick stale sauce on top of the rice without my consent. The meal leaves an after taste.. an unpleasant aftertaste. I feel like the health department needs to run a quality control check after being served this meal.
