Food is better than most other go to places like Bombay Sweets on Hillcroft and slightly better value and quality. Spice level is mild so do specify when you place your orders. I called in a to go and it was ready on time. Cashier was welcoming and overall good experience.

I walked in, took one breath, and left. The pure scent of a bathroom completely overwhelmed and fried my olfactory bulb. That lurid smell still haunts me. I could not even sit and look at the menu. If you cant smell, great. If you can, good luck.

We ordered at the counter and waited for our food and the food came and then we realized a naan bread was missing, we placed a second order for two naans. The middle-aged woman at the counter took the order and headed to the kitchen to inform the chef. When she returned, my wife asked if we could modify the order to just one naan. The woman responded condescendingly, You need to make a decision. I clarified that we had initially ordered the naan, but she denied it, saying, You did not. When I reiterated that we had indeed ordered it, she retorted with disdain, Do you want me to cancel the order? - a clear display of her exerting power and control over the situation, rather than resolving the issue or showing any empathy. The exchange left us feeling disrespected and undervalued, like we were begging for their service rather than being valued customers. It was a stark reminder of the power imbalance in the service industry, where customers are often made to feel like they need the business more than the business needs them. Lamb Curry was good but the chicken vindaloo was a letdown. The chicken in the vindaloo was overcooked, hard, and dry. This experience highlights the need for improved customer service training . The staff, particularly the middle-aged woman at the counter, requires coaching on active listening, empathy, and conflict resolution. Until then, we will think twice about returning.

Ive lived in this area forever & always overlooked this place bc it wasnt located in Hilcroft. That was a huge mistake on my part bc all along, this place could have provided me with that delicious indian food I crave. I ended up ordering samosas, chicken briyani, chicken tikka and garlic Naan. These were all equally delicious. What I really appreciated about the place besides the taste, was that they had big chunks of chicken! They were not limiting the protein! It was packed on a Friday night so we knew this would be a great choice. I will definitely be back to try other plates!

Not sure how this place got so many 5 star reviews....but sorry...the lamb Bryani was gross. They drench it in some curry that wasnt good and we also ordered a lamb curry (thats the actual name of the dish) that was so tomatoey....it was not good. The lamb was so lean and dry. For us to go to an indian restaurant and.waste the bulk of the main dishes is very rare...but unfortunately we did at this place. Cost us over $54 not including tip. The only thing that was.good were the samosas. Outside of that the lamb bryiani and lamb curry ....I wouldnt recommend to anyone. Clean place, alot of fans, no smell of Indian food (not typical of an Indian restaurant.- I actually like the smell of spices and curry leaves - but there were none here)....outside of that..wont eat here again. Hope the food improves in the future. All I can think of is for the 5 star reviews that liked the food, maybe theyre not familiar w what Indian food is supposed to taste like. Or perhaps we ordered dishes that werent the best selections..maybe we should have ordered the Vindaloo instead..but for sure, the bryani was very disappointing.

Ate there recently. The cooking oil used in the Chaat, fries and biriyani was stale or rancid. The ingredients did not smell fresh. 2 of my family members fell sick with food poisoning symptoms. Do not recommend. The restaurant used to be good till a few years back. Not anymore.

I saw a tik tok stating that they have curried lamb thats better than butta chicken. I had to see for myself, I drove an hour to check this place out. Its located in a strip mall so theres plenty of parking available. I was skeptical walking in, it was more of a odor smell vs seasonings or food. The establishment appeared clean. Curried lamb was good, full of flavor, I would definitely order it again. Not sure its better than butta chicken but surely worth the drive.

When i call them to tell them, they argue back and try to put the blame on me. I am already paying 25% more thru Uber and yet I dont get what I want. The food here is amazing full of flavor and spice ranges!! (Mild medium spicy extra hot ) I feel the naan is a little expensive but you definitely need it for the meals... We did takeout and the food was not hot when it arrived and the naan was cold and stale, these point to the food possibly not being prepared or stored at the right temps. I was sick all night with abdominal pain and my daughter was vomiting. Response to owner reply. Please read my review. We did Takeout not delivery, you handed us the cold food in your restaurant, and 7 minutes later we were home. The health inspector reminded you of the proper and safe food-handling procedures during their inspection. This had nothing to do with any other business but yours. A simple Sorry, if thats in your vocabulary would suffice, not trying to pawn off the blame. From what I read others have reported being sickened from Bombay Delight, whose fault are you blaming for those reports?

We recently did a party catering from Bombay Delight and what deliciousness!! Our menu had Paneer butter masala , Malai Kofta , Veg Biryani , Khichu ( a gujrati delicacy) , Jalebis and RABDI !! The highlight was indeed the thin crispy Jalebis and thick , full of nuts and malai , creamy and thick Rabdi !! As authentic as it can be ! Khichu was yummy with the right spice level , made in groundnut oil and topped with perfect achaar/pickle seasoning. Everything else was perfect as always !! Really appreciate the service , freshness of food and thankful to Aunty and the management to have catered to special food requests for catering orders.

My family and I had often passed by Bombay Delight, and finally decided to give it a try. And wow, are we thrilled that we did! The food was not only fresh but also absolutely delicious. The saag was a standout, the best we ve ever had, and the chicken tikka was simply divine. We couldn t stop raving about how fantastic the food was, and without a doubt, Bombay Delight has become our go-to Indian spot from now on. Everytime my wife and I go we have a great meal and great service. Delicious spot in sugar land if you re looking for Indian street food specialties. I ve only had the Bombay sandwich and pav baji. Both were absolutely delicious. Bombay Delight is a fabulous restaurant. My wife and I have been eating Indian, Pakistani, and Nepali food for three decades and this restaurant ranks among the very best we have visited. Stopped by to have a quick bite after my dance class. Pani puri and dahi puri. Pani puri was great, only feedback is not to put warm potatoes inside the puri, it reduces the fun of eating Pani puri. Dahi puri was also good. Generally puris are on larger side. I wish they had proper bite size puris that fit into normal size human mouth. Many restaurants have large puris and I really wish they came down to bite size which is what chaat is all about.

We stopped by last night to try out the food and we are so glad we did. The food was excellent and the service was great! We had the Saag Paneer, Chicken Biryani, Tikka Masala, Butter Naan and Garlic Naan. We started off with the Samosa appetizer. Every one of our dishes were outstanding, full of flavor. And the service was great, very friendly and accommodating. We will be returning very soon.

We have been coming to this neighborhood restaurant for 3 years and it never disappoints. Great food, fast and friendly service and you are never rushed. The cook knows our order and always comes out to greet us with a huge smile. Hands down our favorite Indian restaurant in this area. Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options. This was my 3rd time there. We ordered 2 of the Maaza lychee juice. Opened them and it tasted really weird. When I went to the register to exchange it for something else the lady was very rude and said I cant sell it to anyone and its not expired and refused to change it for something else. My mom and I were very upset never going there again!

I was surprised I was the only person in the restaurant when I walked in, and after eating I am still surprised! The Lamb tikka masala was rich and flavorful, the lamb was very tender. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful lunch at Bombay Delight. It was his first time to have Indian food. I had Indian food while visiting India and I can say the food at Bombay Delight was very good. We had the samosas, Bombay Sandwich, dal soup, saag paneer, chicken tikki masala, and garlic naan. Every dish was full of wonderful flavors and spices. We had medium spice which was just enough spice that was enjoyable. I ate from each dish one at a time to taste and enjoy the flavor of each dish. We also had mango lassi to drink. The portions were large enough for more than two people. We took what we did not eat to enjoy at home. The service was fast and Nancy did a wonderful job to welcome us, explain the dishes, and make recommendations. The prices were affordable as well. We also met the chef and Lena, the owner. We learned of a downtown location in the underground shops on McKinney and Main. I will try that location since I live downtown. I recommend Bombay Delight to anyone looking for good Indian food in a nice, clean, and casual environment.

While I wouldnt consider myself an Indian food expert by any means, I really enjoy Indian food and try to eat it often. Have had it at many different places and I can say, without a doubt, this is THE BEST Indian food I have ever had. Everything we had was awesome. Best Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. Also enjoyed the Samosas, Chicken Pakora and Masala Dosa. This will be the top of my list of Indian restaurants to visit now.

This is a restaurant where you go to the counter to order food (like McDonalds), but they bring it to your table when its ready. We had a group of 8, and I went to the counter first and placed my order. I noticed on my receipt that they added 18% gratuity. They explained they always add this for groups more than 5. I told them thats fine, but then they should come to my table to take the order for the rest of our group (since they will also be charged 18% gratuity). They refused and said that the rest of the group must come to the counter. Our entire group was very unhappy about this. Further, the staff never even came by our table to see if anyone wanted more water. We had to go to the counter initially and any subsequent time for water. If they want to automatically charge 18% gratuity, they should provide some service like a real restaurant! They operate like a fast food place, so automatic gratuity does not make sense.

Very clean, quiet place. The nice lady on the counter let us keep the tab open for multiple orders during lunch. We had vada pav, pav bhaji, masala dosa and Bombay grill sandwich. First time in years we had best pav vada outside of India. We are fussy about the service and taste. Both were excellent at Bombay Delight. Polite and fast service. Simple menu and yummy taste. Gobi Manchurian was also favorite tasty. Cherry on top got a fresh sugarcane juice. Pavbhaji is taste is great. I love little more texture instead of smooth. Pav is one of my favorites. Reminds me of Bombay for sure. We drove 40 minutes but every minute was worth it. Surely plan to go next time to try other items on the menu. Vegetarian options: Love the Chaat Menu.
