Pulled pork was not pulled nor tender. Brisket had an overwhelming smoke taste even with a lack of smoke ring and tenderness. All meats are wrapped in plastic. Average to below average bbq for average to above average prices. Not diet soda options. Staff was friendly and kind.

If I could give a 0 star review based off of the service from the one girl that helped us, I would. My mother was treated so rudely by the one of the girls there, she spoke Spanish. There was absolutely no reason for her nasty attitude! First time giving our business to this establishment, since it changed from being Vasos BBQ, and I had high hopes, but was left with a bad taste in my mouth and honestly will probably never go back. Although the food is ok-ish, this one employee was so rude and purposely ignoring simple request we were making. If she didnt want to help us, she could have stepped aside and let someone else do it. The other workers there were nice, but her attitude really messed up the whole experience. She ruined it for everyone! I really wish the old establishment VASOS was still there, they would NEVER treat us in this manner. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

First time coming to King BBQ. It looks like another BBQ place. We ordered 2 baked potatoes with brisket and everything on it. BBQ is all about the sauce. Not every sauce is great with potatoes. King BBQ sauce is ok, a little too sweet, and no kick. If you have not tried King BBQ, it is on hwy 90 and Dairy Ashford. I also included the receipt for 2 potatoes.

As a native Texan, I would have to say this was the worst barbecue I have ever tasted. Absolutely no smoke flavor! Youre closer to getting BBQ by going to Dickeys or Rudys chain. I was embarrassed for them, terribly disappointing.

Sorry for low review but owner should really see this. I eat out a lot and bbq is my top favorite.. but the food here is actually the worst bbq food ive ever had and im not exaggerating. Ive been here twice, for lunch and dinner. The loaded potato is cold and not hot, the fake bacon bits were terrible, very few chives. The brisket that was on my potato and my sandwhich was cold and tasted like it was microwaved. I ordered a few deserts. The bana pudding was pretty plain and sad. Maybe more vanilla cookies or bread crumbs or something in it would make it a lot better. The only thing I liked that i did have both times i came was the tres leches cake which is surprising. I cannot stress how unappetizing this food was mostly from temperature which is such an easy fix. Fix the meat as well cause it was just cold snd didnt taste right. Tasted microwaved and old. I would really love a bbq place right next to where I work so I hope the owner sees and fixes these issues. Until then im going to the nines nearby. Honestly id take jack in the box over this place anyday. Tastes better and is half the price. Also where is the sweet tea? Didnt see it, except peach sweet tea. When I came at dinner time it seems the pickles and things were already put away too an hour before they closed so I couldnt put any on my sandwhich. Will say the staff were friendly.

People are super nice. I liked the turkey and the potato salad. Of course I love the pickles and jalapeños on the side. I usually am not into sauce on texas bbq, but Kings sauce is pretty good. I kept dipping in it. Brisket was good enough though ive had better, but I ate all of it so it must have been pretty good anyway. Portions were large... I am stuffed. I would come again. I think it is more a family joint that a high art of bbq place, but I may have been here on an off night. The standout was the people. I felt very welcomed.

I ordered a boudin special that comes with Fries (Which we specifically called to confirm prior to ordering). The cashier at the front called and told me that they did not have any more boudin, and as a result, would I like something else. My reply was a burger. When she was informed that I wanted a burger there was no discussion regarding any upcharge, or that my order would no longer come with French fries. When the food was picked up my order did not come with French fries. So I sent my friend back to pick up the fries. Upon returning, the cashier told him that my order did not come with fries. I take issue with this as this is something that should have been discussed during the initial call informing me that they did not have any boudin. As a customer, I don t know the menu, I only know what I ordered. As an employee of the establishment, during the initial call, the employee should have set realistic expectations regarding any alterations to the order. The food was okay, but I was disappointed with the service received. If you receive a call from them to alter your order, make sure that you double-check to confirm if your order will still come with the original sides.

They were awesome! I actually ordered through Toast on a day that they were closed. We didnt know they were closed until we went to pick up the food. Toast didnt acknowledge that they were closed and took my payment anyway. Long story short, I went to the restaurant on the next day that they were open and explained what happened with Toast and my order and she honored it with no hesitation. I think it could have gone differently but she showed no hesitation and chose to deal with Toast. So dont order with Toast but do dine at Kings BBQ. I dont know her name but I really appreciate her. Thanks Kings BBQ Sugar Land. I recommend this restaurant and will continue eating/ordering there. Ill just call the restaurant directly next time.

I keep hoping that Kings BBQ will be good, but it just is disappointing. The meats are dried out. The Brisket is not juicy and tender. The sausage is not juicy. The meat requires sauce to have any taste at all. The corn and the potato casserole are also dried out. I guess that they have been sitting out all day long Its just disappointing.

When the wife and I walked in the people greeted us with hellos. Nice start. For a bbq stop the place was very clean. Weve had their bbq before but wanted to try their burgers this time. A combo gives you handcut fries and a drink. They brought out our food in good time. The burgers were good with maybe a bit too much mustard. The toasted bun was very fresh. The fries were excellent. When we left three employees thanked us as we walked out. They have a good selection of sides and meat combos. I havent tried their chicken but I like the brisket and sausage. Hamburger and fries 4 stars. Employees and cleanliness 5 stars. Well continue to support them. UPDATE: Thought Id give an update. Same great service with friendly people. Got the hamburger again. Hands down its a best burger in the area. You can tell its good quality meat because there was no tough pieces of gristle.

Some of the worst BBQ Ive ever had! If you want baked and boiled meet with no smoke flavor...this is your place! I should have known something when I walked in and didnt smell BBQ. Another red flag should have been when he pulled a pre buttered and toasted bun out of the meet warmer. Its like they toaster them that morning and put them back in the bag. As for the sides...DRY!

Pretty average overall, but definitely has potential. Asked for moist sliced brisket and got basically the ends. A broken hamburger bun cost me 60¢. The sauce was good and worth saving. Suggestion for the cheesy potatoes: add bacon or, better, yet chopped brisket to it and it will be a hit for sure.

The most horrible BBQ (if you could even call it that) I have ever had. If Rudy s BBQ is a 5 on a scale of 1-10 this place is a 1. The best thing here was the friendly staff which was very friendly, the second best thing here was the fries. This place caused us to make a new rule if no one is in the parking lot KEEP DRIVING! I hope this location is able to stay in business once things open up again. Work colleague and I had lunch here. He had beef sandwich with pinto beans. He was disappointed in the quality. I had grilled chicken salad and cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. Chicken salad was ok. Nothing special. Chicken had nice flavor. The gumbo... Worst gumbo Ive ever tasted. There were green veggies in it that really looked like pickle spears. The rue was burned. Ive never had grilled bbq chicken in a gumbo. The predecessor was a much better bbq place. The staff were super friendly today and very appreciative of our business. Not in a super hurry to go back though.

We got sliced beef and sausage sandwiches, with a side of fries and a side of onion rings. The sausage was good, but the sliced brisket was pretty bland. The sauce was tangy and good. The fries were greasy but the rings were pretty good. Service was odd; the front man/slicer was on point, but the rest of the crew was off. The front man had to tell the crew 3 times to drop the ORs, and when I got to the cashier, they still hadnt dropped them, so I had to wait even longer. The bag was packed up, I paid for the meal and went to my car to bring the food home. One of the staff came out to the car with the order of rings, which had not been put in the bag with the rest of the food. Not sure about a return trip. After being open as long as they have been, the staff should be smoother with the process. Too much wasted action in putting the meal together.

Found this place driving around and stopped in for a quick lunch during work. Very fast service and customer service was perfect. Nice staff. Food is also as good as it gets. I fish taco, shrimp taco, and turkey sandwich. All were very good.

The owners are the original staff that once ran the old Luthers BBQ which was the best BBQ in Texas until Pappas BBQ took over it and ruined it. It kept its original flavor and signature BBQ sauce. Baked potatoes, chicken fried steak, okra are the bomb.

Brisket was great! But ask for jalapeno sausage and got sausages and a cup of jalapeno their English is not that good make sure youre clear with them for what you want. Potato salad was bland and coleslaw was ok. Apple cobbler I ordered was not good at all. The place was clean and covid19 ready, had people dined in. The cutting the meat had his masked on halfway the rest of the staff had mask and glove on. The bread was like a tray of brick. The place took a very long time to open was expecting the best of the best, instead its just OKAY.

We came here to celebrate one of my best friends bday. You walk in and order at the counter. They have so many bbq options that we chose the dishes below. The food was great, great portions and scrumptious food that we will back to try different things on their menu. Side note: not pictured the okra was great too! Highly recommended and they also do catering!! Due to pandemic limited seating right now but very spacious and they also have a patio if you choose to dine outside!
