The service is great! The food is all right. We shared an order of onion rings before the meal. They were well cooked, but the batter somewhat overwhelmed the onion. My husband s burger was great, except rather than packets of mayo, mustard, ketchup, why not present it with the little covered bowls like they served the sauces in? The fish and chips were good. Everything was served piping hot. Atmosphere is I guess what one expects of a pub or tavern, but just a bit on the gloomy side for my tastes.

I was super impressed by the menu and how delicious the food was. I had only been here for happy hours and not really to eat food but we ended up landing there for lunch on a Thursday with the $5 Burger and a few appetizers and absolutely loved it. The hummus plate is surprisingly beyond delicious and the garlic fries were also a favorite of the table. Guys, they have TATER TOTS! The server was extremely friendly and competent and we will be back often.

Tried Big Ben Tavern for the first time. It was Steak Night, so I decided to get it. it was an 8 oz tenderloin on a bed of chow mein, with a taco salad on top. Unusual sides, but it actually was pretty good. The wife had the chicken Tikka skewer and cheese Tikka skewer with a side salad. The steak and chicken were both tender and good. We both enjoyed our meals.

Loved everything about it, except the seating. There is only 1 table inside that has seating with your feet on the floor. The rest are freestanding tall tables with bar height stools. For us, its uncomfortable to sit holding on with our feet. This time we were seated at a booth, which would normally be fine, but the seat is super skinny, hitting mid leg for me. Had to keep myself from sliding off. Still better than the tall tables. I know this is picky, but as I age, it matters. It wont keep me from going back because the food and prices are well worth it.

If youre looking for a nice neighborhood spot, this is definitely the place to come. The service is very good. The drinks are decently priced, The food is actually not too bad either. My only complaint with it is that sometimes it can be loud inside. Also, jacqui is a great bartender thats both nice and knowledgeable about drinks. If you need any help, Id highly recommend her.

I was there Saturday night, and I was given incredible service by two bartenders, who were really killing it with how busy they were. I have zero complaints other than a family that came in starting trouble for the bartender and the patrons. I saw everything that happened and the manager did everything that she possibly could to try and stop the situation, but it was just her trying to calm a group of adults. I hope that family is banned, and I hope that some of them went to jail because they were the only reason why anything got escalated at night. Aside from that, The food is remarkable. And service is exceptional! Definitely will be back.

We celebrated our 25th high school reunion here, and everyone had a fabulous time. Jacquie, the manager, was beyond amazing. Bartender didn t in anything to try to de-escalate the situation between a family and the rest of the bar, it was an intire bar beating up on one family due to the bar tender going outside and turning everyone against that family that was already leaving, people got bumped and bruised and Bloody and that blonde bartender needs to be fired or the business needs to be sued. This place seems to offer fun dj nights. Good draft beer selection with some unique picks. Some outdoor seating. Great service. Whatever you do, do not order their fish and chips. Primarily, that s what this review is based on: being served hockey pucks and overcooked small wedge fries. I was a little nervous eating through the fishy flavor, but I m happy to report I survived :) The other food coming out looked decent. I d say stick to the American fare. Maybe they had a bad day or an inexperienced cook on the line. I get a little cross when I waste fat calories on bad fried food!

I like Big ben tavern for their Bloody Marys and the budget food specials they have everyday. On Mondays they have half- priced wings. I order 30 wings $17 for my wife and I. Eat about 15 of them and take the rest home for lunch the next day. Tuesday they have a juicy 10oz tenderloin steak for $25 which goes down good with a $3 pint of zigenbach or 2. Thursday they have $5 burger night. The burger is fricken huge. I think its Angus too. Get there early to get a good seat.

Crawfish Review updated 18-APR-2023- The quality is going down and there is not the love going into preparing the crawfish like the last 2 years. Crawfish Review- Hands down the best crawfish in Houston! The KK4 Pepper sauce is a must add. The crawfish are boiled in a garlic spice boil mix (Asian style) and are cooked to perfection. The boil mix at the bottom of the bag is yummy. No fishy smell ever. Womp. Womp. We were looking forward to trying the food on their menu, but could never get service. We assumed it was seat yourselves as the hostess station at the front door was being used for storage. We waited at the bar along with another customer for some time without being acknowledged. We finally got the attention of a bartender & asked if we could sit at an open table & were handed menus to take with us. We were unable to get a nearby waiter to acknowledge us to order. In the half hour we waited, every staff person was busy doing EVERYTHING. There was no system in place to provide efficient service. There was no dedicated bartender or dedicated wait staff. The whole experience was impersonal. We liked that pool tables were advertised here but customers were seated right up to the edge of the pool table. Unlikely well try again.

A lively pub with an amazing beer selection. Food is also pretty good. Better than average bar food. I think the best thing about it is it has a real local feel. Everyone seems to know each other. Vegetarian options: Few options. Settled on pretzels and fries but Im not complaining.

I would definitely be back. The staff and service was great it was a Monday night so Im sure the crowd was a little lite. But there were people eating, drinking and playing pool. I sat at the bar area and ordered some dinner. It was delicious. The bacon jam burger on a pretzel bun. Yum yum. I hung out for a little after then headed back to the hotel. If I visit again I will probably make it a spot for the whole trip to eat. Convenient, safe, good food and service. Go check it out.

Great place to eat some crawfish during the season. They also have some good shrimp dishes. A good size bar with plenty of drink options. A nice size patio to hang out during the cool nights of the year.

First time here and absolutely loved it! The staff were super nice and very attentive. Its a chill bar and its exactly what I was looking for since moving to the Sugarland/Richmond area. Friday night they had a dj that was playing music that was great for folks that were mid 30s and up. It was awesome. I dont get to try the food as I came by after dinner but next time I come ill definitely try their food. Looking forward to going again.

This is a very loud but friendly place to get Hammered with your significant other! My Wife and I came for the Crawfish and $5 Burger Special, plenty of Sports on the TVs, definitely gotta be open-minded for the vast music genres they got Jammin on the Jukebox, Ziegenbock Draft was Crispy Ice Cold, not too big not too small of a place, highly recommend!
