Use to order from this place all the time, for years, I would get the #1 during lunch special hours. But after calling today, asking for an order to go with their lunch special. The woman rudely told me those lunch special prices are only for dine in only. I ve never been told this at any other restaurant. I will not be visiting this location, or be giving my business to them. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Decent food but overpriced no doubt and small portions. The bartender we had cared more about gossiping and being on the phone with a coworker than bartending. Anytime I needed anything I had to flag the bartender down. The decor could definitely use an update. And the dead ambiance the restaurant had didn t help either. Only thing that was decent was the food, but it still lacked flavor and presentation. If you want GOOD seafood do yourself a favor and to Vida Mariscos instead of here you ll thank later I guarantee it.

The owners service gives a lot to talk about, she yelled at us to ask what exactly we wanted and in front of the customers she started yelling at her waitresses and workers. A person definitely without leadership. Its a shame since the place doesnt He is an eminence, he attends because of the urgency and because of the kindness of some waitresses and bartenders.

Most definitely the worst experience my daughter is 11 year old and the waitress told me that only kids 9 and younger could order from the kids menu I pointed out how it s stated 12 and under. I asked to speak to the manager she came and said that it was for kids 10 and younger I again stated that the menu said 12 and under she then said oh how old is she I said 11 she then questioned me and said is she really 11 I said yes do you want me to show you. This has got to be one of the worst experience like it no big deal it s just chicken nuggets there are kids that don t eat seafood and chicken nuggets is always my last resort. Honestly if this is how the manager deals with a very small and simple situation I can only imagine other type of situation.

Update(2024): Went for lunch and ordered the Whole Red Snapper. Sadly it was just awful. Im not sure how you mess up a great fish like that, but it tasted like cardboard. I brought it up to them and was recommended to try something different next time. This should have been amazing at $35, lessons learned. The service was prompt and friendly as usual. Original (2022): This is our new favorite restaurant for takeout and delivery. The food is so fresh and delicious and the proportions are great. The ceviche a la vela is amazing. The whole red snapper (huauchinango frito) is delicious and served with a wonderful shrimp fried rice that can compete with any local asian restaurant. I am only sad that we lived here for four years before discovering this place!

My husband and I placed an order over the phone, they said it would be ready in 15 min. I got to the restaurant about 30 min after that .. upon walking in i was not even acknowledged while waiting for a server (OR anyone really ) to assist me. I finally asked the lady behind the counter to help me pay for my phone order. She then asked me to wait like 20 more minutes because the food was not ready. I waited in my car and then went back and the food was still not ready, 25 min later. they admitted the order hadnt even been placed to the back kitchen yet if I could please come back in 30 min. At this point I was just irritated and hangry and asked for a full refund. My husband went back after I came home pissed cause he really wanted Aguachile. He came home 20 min later and said they told him to come back in 1 hour. Aguachile was average.

I gave 3 stars for service, because this is the second time I ask for an upgrade in my rice, and when I get home I discover that they dont give me what I ask for, let me explain (the fry rice that goes with the dishes, I ask that they give it to me They make habanero style, they charge me extra, and they still give me the normal one, I love their restaurant, I highly recommend it, and I wouldnt like to go somewhere else due to the lack of attention of some employees.

The food was really good but the service is awful it took more than an hour to get our food for 8 people and they apologized with lame excuses like the server is new and she didnt put the correct order and the tickets were not in the correct order. First, you have to train your servers to provide a proper service, at least ask for water refills or bring utensils when the food was served. Sadly, we will never come back to that small and awful service restaurant.

Very bad experience in this place, and I have been on other occasions and it was much better than now, I ordered a fish ceviche, it was terrible without any flavor, they did not give me ketchup or any sauces just because I asked that they take me away if not the fish and avocado was what my ceviche had then I ordered shrimp in aguachile that was also quite bad, especially because they were dirty, they couldnt have been cleaned, I dont even say if you already opened the butterfly type shrimp, remove the vein to clean them, and the attitude of the waitresses was terrible, terrible They dont have a point of service attitude, they receive us badly with a long face. I ask him what the Michoacán cocktail has and he answers nothing, just fish or shrimp what answer is that? I doubt thats the only thing the dish brings They dont come close to knowing if you are offered something else if you dont look for them, they dont stop there but they do expect a good tip and that is earned with attitude and service not just by standing next to the table and take an order lousy place!

The Location is kind of hard youll pass it off your not paying attention, Lol Service was Good nice servers , place looked Clean music was on nice environment I ordered Camarones Botanas 1/2 lb Jumbo Shrimps It was good only major downside was the Shrimp werent cleaned out. The place is ok, the service was good unfortunately 1/2 if the food we ordered was flavorless , the Cajun shrimp was only spicy but had no seasoning whatsoever, the michelada was the worst michelada that I ever had in a Mexican restaurant, the fried rice also had no flavor and was oily and the lettuce was already turning brown, the rest of the food was OK, but we definitely will not be back as we love good seafood and this is definitely not it.

I went to pick up something for dinner at home, I dont know if you would consider the restaurant busy however I asked for the menu sat in a booth and looked through the menu, started looking for the lady thay gave me the menu, made eye contact a couple of times but she would turn the other way, one I got up to meet her I told her what I ordered (fried tilapia and shrimp and octopus a la diabla) it took almost 45 minutes I was about to get up and leave since I had not paid when she told me it was ready. The fried fish was burn, and the rice that came with the shrimp and octopus was really oily. I dont know if I caught then on a rush or a bad day but was not super impressed.

(fried fish) The Mojarra frita that she ordered was barely seasoned..so, naturally she complained & had it sent back to the kitchen......THEN when she got it back she started to eat it and then SHE DISCOVERED A RUBBER GLOVE AT THE BOTTOM OF HER FRIED RICE................... DISGUSTING......So naturally we all complained about it....& what was even more disgusting than the glove in the rice (IT ALMOST FEELS AS IF IT WAS PURPOSEFULLY DONE IN RETALIATION FOR HER SENDING THE FISH BACK TO THE KITCHEN) was the staffs reaction to the whole incident.......... FOR ONE THING... THE MANAGER MADE HIMSELF UNAVAILABLE sending a waitress in his place instead.. claiming to be the manager ...then her failing to compromise with my family to make right for finding that disgusting glove in her rice ..... It was so bad that we had all lost our appetite after seeing it......YET..The management was unwilling to lets us leave without having to pay NO ONE ATE!!! One of the worst Ostioneria Michoacan locations in Northside Houston yet. Came to eat with my family of 4, including a baby Walking in with no one greeting us til 2 minutes later, mind you the restaurant was half empty. Food was expensive, edible but bland, no flavor, sin sabor, échale sason porfavor! Didnt really complain about anything until one of us almost bit into a torn piece of latex gloves!!! It was shocking and ultimately horrid, we all lost our appetite and decided to call up a manager... after all our baby could of gotten seriously hurt if he had digested a piece of plastic They only gave us a 20% discount even when we didnt even eat half our food , we still had to pay $60 for almost little food we actually ate. Im not one to complain about food and staff, but do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS LOCATION!

The food is good. I always came here for the seafood mixed rice for my husband and a chicken and fajita rice with no shrimp due to an allergy. Now today is my 3rd attemp to get my usual order and for the 3rd time Im told that they cant just make fajita and chicken rice because it comes with shrimp already. I just think that the staff is not willing to put effort into going out of their way to make it. Otherwise how did I order it this way so many times. Its a shame to turn a customer away with an allergy request. If its impossible fine but Ive had it many times. I hope the owner reads this and addresses the employees. I will try again once more and see if anything changes. Actually never mind I wont get food here anymore. I just read some reviews and saw the food came with a roach wow. While I was walking through Spring, Texas I went to eat with my family at this restaurant and the service was excellent, there were just details. We ordered for pickup on June 26, 2021. We ordered two seafood soups - 1 LG 1 MD they gave us shrimp soup. It was too salty in my opinion but not terrible. We ordered my daughter chicken nuggets and fries. The fries were cold and seemed to have been sitting for a while and the nuggets were disgusting and looked gray. We ordered two other plates which family said was eh alright.
