Super cute place with great live music. The problem I had was that the site advertises reasonable drink prices and that s just not the case. I also started to order something to eat but was unwilling to pay $13 for some chips and salsa. The bartender was nice and the singer was lovely. But the food and drinks were definitely not worth the price. We won t be back.

Went to get my hair and beard trimmed. Place shouldnt be open. In the process of remodeling. Was like getting your haircut in a strangers room. She was nice but didnt know how to cut a beard. Left with an uneven mess. $100. Thought it was a nice bar type barbershop from the pictures but it was an unfinished house. Vibes like we broke in to a closed house to get a haircut in someones room. Wierdest haircut of my life.

Not as homey as the old place. Tables are to far away from the entertainment. Singer cant interact with the crowd. Also, to bright for a night club .. The old place was better.

I went to their NEW location for a Wednesday open mic, and was hopeful, because they moved into an awesome looking space. It looked gorgeous. UNFORTUNATELY, I ordered a shot of tequila and it was over $23. FOR ONE DRINK!!! When I asked why, the bartender tried explaining that it was an ounce and a half and that there was no cover charge. also worth noting: their bathroom is a regular home-style bathroom without a fully closing door. its a sliding barn door.

We live in the Galleria and drove to Spring Old Town to try MB Speakeasy on a Sunday afternoon Their craft cocktails were delicious and the service was outstanding! Yelba and Roy provided the live music and played a variety of great songs! Lots of fun and many people were out on the dance floor enjoying the music! We highly recommend a visit to MB Speakeasy in Old Town Spring ! We ll definitely be back!

This place is REALLY cool. Is this place too cool for me? Yes, but the super friendly amazing bar staff nearly convinced me otherwise. The manager, Ginny, man, shes REALLY cute, friendly and goes above and beyond for the patron experience.

Enjoyed the experience- neat little space and great entertainment! Miller Lite at $8 is a definite downer but they re more geared toward the mixology Review 5/31/24 Came in for a few beers and sat outside - we re here before music started and didn t go in except for another round - beer at $6.50 and a $22 tequila shot then get charged a cover charge for music . Will not be back - I guess the regulars get a break but if you re thinking about coming by my opinion is that they gouge you over $50 for a shot of tequila and music that we didn t see is too steep for me.

This is a nice little place. And it really does remind one of a 1920s prohibition speakeasy Club. They were playing some live music and the bartender was very nice. The inside of the club is a bit small. But it s a cozy environment. *There s even a hidden door. See if you can find it!

I m not really sure why I haven t written a review of this place before My wife and I have certainly been there a multitude of times and ALWAYS enjoyed it. On Sundays, Yelba and Roy provide an entertaining background with a variety of music that gets everyone dancing On Tuesdays they return to host a night of Karaoke that is friendly and encouraging for those less experienced wannabe singers The drinks and the service are first class, with Sadie and all the staff always ready with a smile The owners, Toby and Damon are frequently there and occasionally even test their skills at singing

Ive got to agree with (most), of the reviews in that Its a terrific place to visit! My first time there and I was impressed by the ambiance, etc. VERY comfortable!!! One slight glitch is this. I happened in on a night where there was this young lady being trained. Ordered my drink and some food. The price came out to $25. and some change. I was okay with that. The problem being is... I gave the gal $30. and never seen her again? Wasnt asked if I wanted a receipt and didnt receive one. Look, Im a pretty good tipper when the service is good. (I could care less about three or four bucks)! Nonetheless, I will make my return on Tuesday. See you soon.

Be warned that there s an undisclosed $25 cover charge some nights. My 82 year old grandma wanted to have a cocktail however after making it inside they told us we d either have to foot the extra $50 or leave.

Went in for Karaoke. Great acoustics, KJs. Problems with their karafun system. Prefer rotation. Just my thought. Will be back. Parking: Came in after dark, couldnt see address. Parlikg was diagonal and couldnt see how to get back to road without going against traffic (the way we came in) Wish I had this place. Going to try Barber Shop tomorrow if I can get by there.

Styled as an old fashion Speakeasy. Music is from the era. Drinks are all unique and to date. My whiskey sour had real egg whites. Mixed all by hand with no premixes. Love it.

Im sorry for all the folks that like this place but our experience was bad. The atmosphere was nice but we ordered food and it took forever. The waitress said it would be 15 minutes, then 15 more, then 15 more when we said were leaving they said it would be ready in 2 more minutes. They said the problem is they did not have enough people working. The owner should hire more people so they can offer the service they need. We had 2 beers and a water our bill was almost $20 and my wife was nice enough to tip them even though we had that situation. I hope our review helps to change things there. Good luck!

Went for the first time & saw a great blues band. Food is ok typical bar food but didnt go for the food. Drinks were very good even though service slowed down a bit when it got busy it was a very good experience. We will return to see good live music & get some dancing going!

I gave 5 stars because I dont want to lower their star rating hoping that it was just an off day for them. Place looks cool. I heard they have a great old fashioned. I did not get to try one. I walked in on a Friday around 5pm set at a high top and was never greeted by anyone. There was a bartender but she said nothing. After a little over 5 min. I left.

The speakeasy is an awesome secret place. Ive been going since it opened, where they have great live music, awesome staff and the best old fashioned. No matter your mood, rather you are wanting to be around friends, to wanting to chill by yourself and listen to good music, this is your place. I never really watched the show, but the Speakeasy is the sort of place where everyone knows your name.

The bartender/manager was super friendly and knew what she was doing! We told her what we were looking for and she made something up that was absolutely delicious! We went when it wasnt busy before an event we were going to do I cant really comment on the overall atmosphere however, it was a comfortable place and very welcoming. One of the owners also came over to talk and he was very friendly as well.

I don t review often, but this speakeasy is fantastic every time I go. I love coming here after work and getting a drink and listening to their live music. The atmosphere is relaxing but lively, a perfect place to unwind. Aside from having great cocktails they also have the best selection of thoughtfully curated mocktails that I ve seen. The mocktails are well balanced and don t feel like they re missing something. Last time I was there I tried their dessert platter (pictured) which blew my expectations out of the water. I then learned that the baklava, and other pastry (can t remember the name) was made locally by a small vendor! The staff is always so kind, and the musicians are always so talented and entertaining. Bravo to the owners! I recommend to anyone looking for a unique little place to get a drink.

Man Basics is a must!! Best Speakeasy around! Tiffany the bartender is absolutely wonderful, and a true craft cocktail mixologist. Her vast craft cocktail is unreal... she is can make up new original recipes on the whim! The theme and atmosphere is awesome. The owner Damon and Tobe are fun and lovely also. They have live music constantly- open mic on Tues, Jazz pianist on Wed, Live music every other Friday and Sat is Steven the blusy acustic guitarist/singer. So happy I found this place. It has fastly become my new favorite staple spot for me and my friends.... Highly recommend you check it out, if you havent already!!
