The Tea Kettle is a great place to celebrate birthdays with the Afternoon Tea. Everything was delicious. The Presto Turkey was one of our favorite sandwiches we enjoyed the tuna and cucumber too. We really liked The Old Town Spice and Hazelnut Vanilla Chi teas. The scones were chocolate chip and amazing, as were the pastries. Each one was a delicacy. We had so much fun. We never felt rushed and enjoyed the time spent celebrating birthdays. We look forward to returning. Hillaree was a great server, so helpful.

The tea kettle cafe was splendid to come too! I did a reservation and the staff were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Their tea options are all wonderful to have and the finger foods like the finger sandwiches we had tasted delicious. Despite the smaller portions , they fill you up quick with a variety of food!! The cafe is worth the trip, even just for a cup of tea :D

Ive come here a few times but most recently theyve updated the menu and added new seasonal teas. The service here is always excellent, the chicken salad sandwich is absolutely delicious. It has a hint of curry and/or turmeric in it which is really lovely and a subtle nod to the influence of India on tea. I cant say enough good things. Always a great place to stop for a relaxing cup of tea and meal.

I m thrilled to give Tea Kettle Café a five-star rating. Our visit to the Tea Café was an excellent experience, perfect for a girls day out with my two daughters. Despite making our reservation just one day in advance, everything was prepared beautifully. The children s tea, priced at only $25, was comparable to what I ve experienced in London and Europe. What made this experience truly special was how it exposed my kids to a different way of dining, full of imagination and elegance. The servers embraced the idea of letting the children imagine and play, while still providing a formal and beautiful experience. I was thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The experience was so wonderful that my children even said thank you a clear sign of how much they enjoyed it. We re already planning our next visit with friends, and I highly recommend The Tea Kettle Café to anyone looking for a memorable and delightful outing.

Great little spot to celebrate a special occasion. The tea is amazing, and the cutest little place to go for a tea party. The kids set up was SO awesome with the fairy tea and Nutella sandwiches. The only disappointment were the adult sandwiches as they were not impressive as far as what is offered. Everything else was tasty and we had a great time celebrating my moms 60th birthday. I would definitely recommend this place for the fun girly experience.

Absolutely loved this place! They have a selection of cold and hot teas to enjoy on their own or with a really good meal. We got the Nymph and Butterbear teas, with two Mushroom Butties....do not pass over the Mushroom Buttie. It was very well portioned and so well seasoned. I think they do reservations for large parties, too, so it would be a cute brunch bday or Bachelorette party. Well be back for sure :)

My lunch was nice( other than virtually bland, tasteless egg salad) but tea was a disappointment. Three fourths of a small cup and served lukewarm. When I mentioned it to the server she seemed totally disinterested. Asked to speak to her later about the afternoon tea , never saw her again until she put my ticket on my table and walked away.

This is one of my favorite spots in Old Town Spring! I love their grilled cheese and tomato basil soup, it is truly the best I ve ever had. The turkey and pesto sandwich is so simple yet so satisfying & filling. Edit: The new menu is BEAUTIFUL and delicious! The staff will sometimes pass out little samples of the new drinks or soups they are making to see what their customers think! It s such a thoughtful touch. The Afternoon Tea Service is delightful, with yummy desserts, sandwiches, scones and the tea galore! They have so many tea options you can try any you want! The bakery usually has a lot of options to choose from and MANY macaron flavors (each one is AMAZING! But my fave is the lemon or matcha if they have it out) they also have cakes, cookies, & brownies. One of the owners, Kari bakes these wonderful desserts! The staff is wonderful and so passionate about their business, it s a really nice spot to bring friends or family and even the kiddos!

FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. the sandwich my mom orderd was flavorless. i orderd a fig salad which was not what is described on the menu and did not have the vinigrett or the pecans or figs. i think the cook or chef had NO idea what he was doing and did not care abut the flavor or quality of his food. now i dont know if the cook just sucks at cooking or if they purposley gave us bad food so that we would not return, becuz we came in with a child on the autistic spectrum and she was showing some behaviors. but if they no like nuero- diversity they should put a sign that says no loud noise allowed. so either they just cant cook or they not tolerate nuero-diversity for either reason bad quality place. the service was good thanks to the two friendly waitress. but it did take a while to be greeted. the price of the food is to high for such basic and nasty food. WILL NOT RETURN.

Decided to try something new for lunch and we honestly had really high hopes. Location is very cute and clean. However the service and the food quality was not what we expected. Took over 20min to place our order. Food took about 30 min to come out, the entire time we were never checked on or asked about water refills. When we asked why the food was taking too long waitress expressed that reservations are a priority and the reason our food was taking too long. There was 2 reserved tables and 3 regular tables including us. Food is very bland not what we expected even for it to be sandwiches. We decided to order a quiche and carrot cake to go, carrot cake was really dry and the quiche was in pieces. *Pictures provided*

They are not allergy or vegan friendly. They tell you it s too difficult and we have so many requests. Any time you ask questions, they come back with a half apology that sounds more like an insult- and my non vegan friends at the table agreed. (Edit after business responded: this comment was made in relation to asking about desserts not the afternoon tea, I did not attempt to have the afternoon tea as a vegan.) I got the avocado toast (without cheese) and it came served with cheese. The portion size for price seems small. Friends got the salad and it was a good size for the price. Others got the afternoon tea and seemed to enjoy it. Dietary restrictions: Not friendly. Difficult to modify any dishes. No sweet non dairy or gluten free options.

Absolutely horrible experience. I ordered a wrap. The waitress even clarified I wanted wrap. The chef, a woman in the back, was talking on her personal phone the whole time. It took over 20 min for our order of a wrap and sandwich to come out. When my food was ready she had prepared a sandwich not the wrap. We were seated by the kitchen window and I see the chef chewing out the server who I KNOW told her that it was a wrap. She even clarified it with me. Maybe she didn t hear because she was on her Bluetooth talking loudly on her personal phone the whole time? She then started to yell at me through the window asking what I want. I m like I wanted a chicken sandwich wrap? It says on your menu any sandwich can be a wrap? I didn t memorize what goes on it. She starts screaming at me onions! Pickles! Mayo! At that point I said I just want to leave. She starts screaming bye then have a nice day!! Have a nice day! Are you kidding? I have no words. I should have left when no one even noticed I had come in for 10 minutes. Absolutely not. I cannot believe just screaming at your customers when you took forever and got the order wrong. I seriously left absolutely shocked with no food after being there 45 minutes.

I was in town visiting my mom and she wanted to do something special for me and my daughters so she made a reservation for high tea for the 5 of us. Our waitress was moderately polite, but not friendly or welcoming. The food was lackluster, I don t know how they get away with charging those prices for what basically amounts to egg salad on Wonder Bread. I packed better sandwiches in my school lunches when I was a kid. The desserts did not taste good and we ended up not eating them. The tea was excellent, but beyond that, I felt terrible that my mom forked over $200 for that.

Before I begin, I would like to preface this by saying we did the Christmas Afternoon Tea Service and visited on a Wednesday around 1pm. Anything in this review pertains to the Tea Service, and not just ordering from the main menu. The tea room is cute and cozy, giving off what you would expect an old tea room to feel like. They had some interesting tea pots (a frog one that I have become obsessed with), so that is a bonus. We were sat at 1pm and had to wait at least twenty minutes to even order pots of tea. They took another twenty minutes to arrive and our tray of snacks was brought out before it. All the food was very underwhelming and for $50 per person, the quantity was disappointing. We were still hungry after we finished the tray and wanted another pot of tea along with some other food. The waitress never came back to take the order even after we asked for a menu to order something more. Upon leaving, it looked like they had several other large parties that were being taken care, so it honestly felt like we had been forgotten about because we were a small party. The only positive things I have to say is that the place is cute and their Day Dreamer tea is divine. For the price and amount you get out of the tea service, there are far better options around the general Spring/Woodlands/Houston areas. I would not recommend this place for the tea service.

I had high hopes but it didn t pan out bc service was poor. It was not busy & took nearly 30 min to get a replacement for an item & another 30 min to get the bill after we were done. The soup had potential but it was bottom of the pot salty & came out cold. My tuna sandwich came w a cold refrigerated croissant. When I mentioned that it would be nice to have the croissant to b toasted or room team the server was unbothered & said that s how we serve it. When I walked in I saw the word bakery & I would expect that quality. The tuna was dry & weird texture & flavor. Buffalo chicken wrap was good. Spinach quiche egg was not fluffy & spinach was flavorless but the crust was good. I had higher expectations. We were not offered desert.

I went with a friend who was hoping to have a baby shower for her daughter here. What a disappointing experience! First we were sat by the front door with a view of the cluttered front desk and right by a table with 2 fussy toddlers. We requested to move and we were reseated by a window. Big improvement!! Waitress came by in an appropriate time and explained the tea service but we weren t ready to order our tea. Then we were forgotten about. Finally after 30 minutes, I flagged down another woman and asked if we could place an order. She sent over original waitress who finally took our order. Food was delivered shortly afterwards but tea took another 10 minutes. We had also ordered soup and had to remind the waitress. Guess it had been sitting for awhile as it was lukewarm. Food and presentation was ok but overall experience was lackluster. Service was horrible. Poor thing wasn t even able to take our payment correct. We had to get another waitress to help. My friend decided to take her Business elsewhere. Don t bother. So many much better dining experiences available.

Would not recommend going for tea here. We had the tea service, took over 30 minutes just to get tea at our table, and when the food came out it was terrible. It had three tiers: sandwiches, scones, and sweets. The tea sandwiches were half the size of any tea sandwiches I have ever had before and also just not good quality at all. The scones were like something that has been bought from a store, left on the counter and then reheated and the deserts were also not very good. I recognized the mini cheesecakes as something from Sam s club. The interior is cute. The actual tea was pretty good. But the food was not good.

We just held my daughters 16th birthday party here. It was awesome! My family recently had tea service at a Manhattan tea shop, and Tea Kettle Cafe was far superior, from the flavors of the tea, to the texture of the scones. Our coordinator Kate was also amazing. She was attentive and patient with us despite also needing to service tables in the cafe. We are already planning on getting teas for the holidays and bringing other family for the experience. This is a really cute place! Great spot if you have small kids who like to have tea parties. It will bring a smile to their face for sure! The food was good, and service was really good too considering she was the only one working! Its a quaint place, gets busy and seats fill quickly for lunch but we would definitely come back! Our server was super friendly, helpful and attentive. If the place wasnt so small, I wouldnt have even noticed that she was the only one working lunch. Kid-friendliness: Great food options for kids. They even have small tea cups and kettles for kids.

The scones are wonderful, the tea is delicious, the atmosphere is so calming and inviting, and the service is always excellent. The staff make you feel welcome and right at home. I take my friends and my sister here all the time. Would absolutely recommend stopping by.

This cute little place is probably great for a special tea party. I made what I thought to be a lunch reservation for a party of 5 at 11 am. When I was asked for a cc to secure the reservation I didnt think much of it. I should have. When we were seated at our table there was confusion over what the waitress (who by the way was very good) said. As it turned out, my lunch reservation was for full afternoon tea service. It should have been explained to me that I was booking a $32.00 per person tea when I made the reservation. I made the reservation in order to assure we would have a table when we arrived. I asked manager or owner (Im not sure which) if it could be switched because we wanted to order off the menu since it was our first visit. She reluctantly agreed to change it. At the end of our lunch, I apologized for the misunderstanding. She explained that generally, when a reservation is a no-show there is a 1/2 price charge of the total. She then offered to only chagge me 1/4 of the price to which I agreed. However, I believe it was her sesponibility to ask if my reservation was for a tea or clarify what I was making a reservation for. If, as she said, since we did not bring the sandwiches to your table we can still use them why did there need to be a charge at all? She was not out anything. No one was waiting for a table, and we all ordered lunch and drinks. The food was not impressive at all. The only positive thing about our visit to the Tea Kettle Cafe was the time spent with friends. The five of us senior citizens agreed that we will not be returning to the Tea Kettle Cafe. Just be sure if you make reservations you know what they are for.

This is a very charming place to have lunch or high tea. I happened upon the cafe in Old Town Spring so I did not have a reservation for high tea but we still had lunch and tea. I had the Turkey club, potato salad, scones, cheesecake and macarons. All was very delicious. My next trip I ll definitely make reservations for high tea. My waitress was Shelby and she was very friendly.

When arrived for our reservation we were greeted and sat down quickly. We got served water and I spilt a whole glass and the waitress was very helpful and took care of it right away I felt so bad. After we order our food it took 10 minutes to get my wife s tea and it was not good my wife felt it was just hot water no flavor. Then the waitress informed me that they did not have the cold pasta was still being prepared and that I could get chips. Then it took 25 additional minutes to get our food. My wife s quiche crust was wet for some reason. My wife did really like the lentil soup. The manager did bring my wife another cup of tea and we were told that they didn t know what tea she got the first time and my wife did say it was better but was concerned on what they gave her the first time. My buffalo chicken sandwich was ok it had good flavor but the bottom bread was tough. Then we were given the check and didn t get asked if we wanted dessert so we paid and left. Not very good service and we will not be going back unfortunately. I have been taking my wife to tea rooms so we can try different ones and this was the first unsatisfactory one we ve been to. I also believe the waitress did need help she was the only one and had multiple tables to handle one couple did walk out because they were there for 10 minutes and didn t get helped.

Next time I ll try the lunch items, as I d love to come back for a real afternoon tea! Service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. I feel passionate about this little place as I have been bringing my kids here since 2018. I live 5 min away so it s a place we frequent. Although it s a cute concept, and I m sure anyone who visits NOW will not understand the negative review, I am disappointed with the way this place is heading, and don t think I will be back. They cut corners in the quality of their food (bagged chips vs fresh kettle chips), (gummy fruit snack pack with the kids meals instead of the fresh fruit my kids loved to eat that used to come with the kids meals). The scones also did not taste the same, not as fresh as they used to make them. They have added new menu items that I don t think needed to be added, I would have preferred it stay JUST the same and focus on the QUALITY vs QUANTITY of food offered. Also train your staff that it is unprofessional to have AirPods in while serving as they missed and forgot serval items we had ordered. I paid my check and left feeling unsettled with my experience, I just hope it changes and I can go back one day.

Its June 2023 and this place has gone DOWNHILL terribly. Dont waste your money going here for an afternoon tea. I brought my closest friends here for a pre-booked afternoon tea on a Wednesday. The presentation seemed nice but the scones were as hard as a baseball, so hard that my daughter chipped a tooth on a scone here. Dry crumbly macarons. The food was NOT fresh. Evidently the scones had been sitting out for days and were awful. The table next to me was angry with their meal, too, and asked to speak with the manager, complaining about the quality of the food. I spent over $200 here that day and instantly regretted it. Terrible food, slow service. I WILL NOT BE BACK.

We were very full by the time we left, and we felt very warm and cozy. They have various flavors of decaffeinated tea, herbal tea, black tea, and green tea... So they give you a wide variety of options to choose from! The inside of the shop is very beautifully painted, and they have a few little trinkets you can look through and purchase if you so desire. Kid-friendliness: They have tea service options for children too so it could be a fun place to host a small childrens party. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair ramp off the right-hand side of the front porch. I will say the ramp is a little on the steeper side (just slightly), so fair warning on that one.

Their chicken salad was good, but not cut into small pieces. Chunks of chicken and pecans kept falling out of the sandwich. The chips served are ridged kettle chips. Theres nothing on the menu telling you its served with chips at all. The quiche was made using store bought pie crust, but was good. The tomato basil soup was lacking. The turkey club is not a club sandwich. Its a turkey sandwich with bacon on it. The fairy water tastes like powdered mix Hawaiian Punch pink lemonade. Add a sweetner to tone down the bitter taste and its fine. The service was very slow even though we were the only table being waited on and there were at least 4 people working there. The kitchen staff were yelling and vulgar rap music was playing on the restaurant speakers. This place is not one we will visit again.

Te a was an amazing help booking our event and coordinating all the details. She was very knowledgeable and gave us great advice when picking the teas for the event. Summary: Pros- Cute place, food is decent, tea was delicious Cons- VERY poor service; expensive prices for very little food that you have to split with the table; pop/rap radio does not match the atmosphere Story: I have never left a negative review before, but this was not a good experience. I visited for the first time today with two friends. It was not at all busy- two tables of people and two waitresses. Our waitress was somewhat rude and inattentive and did not introduce herself or talk to us much at all and did not make eye contact. I do not think she was new, as I have seen her name (the name on the check) on many other reviews. The other waitress did seem friendlier and explained some parts of the menu to the guests. We decided to order the full afternoon tea for each of us to get the full experience. It came with two pots of tea for the table, which we could switch out at any time, so that was nice. The tea was good, especially the Old Town Spice. However, our waitress did not bring us tea cups until we asked for them a while later, or cream or sugar for our tea. We were very surprised when she brought out the food. Even though we had each ordered our own- for 25 dollars each- it all came on one plate rack. Essentially, if I had been dining alone, I would have gotten the same amount of food for $25 as we got for $75 and had to split. I fully understand that English afternoon tea is not intended to be a big meal, but for $75 I dont understand why we were splitting the equivalent of one portion. The meal came with two scones, both of which were cold. We had ordered three meals, so there was not even a scone for each person. Additionally, the bottom plate was empty and we had not gotten dessert or fruit that was supposed to come with the meals. Our waitress seemed shocked when we asked her if we could get the rest of our food, and it took multiple inquiries until she finally brought it. She also did not bring us silverware or napkins until we asked. It was not busy. We all left hungry and went to get lunch somewhere else, after paying for this meal first. I really wish our waitress would have explained the menu, with this restaurant being a different experience than most. I certainly would have ordered something cheaper that came with more food. Please understand, my family owns a small business and I work at a family owned and operated restaurant. I know you have to make money and it can be a struggle, and I know being a waitress can be difficult. However, operating a business this way is going to lose customers. I am hopeful that this was just an off day and this is not how things usually go here.

That just did not fit a tea time. There were two sisters working when we went. They loudly talked to each other across the room. It wasn t pleasant. We were told the soup of the day was the potato soup. My mom ordered it. What she got was more of a potato pudding. It was so thick she could turn her spoon upside down and it did not come off. We had wanted to order the cranberry and white chocolate scone but the waitress brought our ticket without even asking. In the end we just decided to leave. The tea was good.
