After over 15 years of being a loyal customer, we started being treated horribly by the owner to the point it s very obvious and embarrassing to us. My husband sees her in public alot and he tries to say hello but she rudely breezes past him. We sure have spent alot of money there and referred alot of people over the years. The food is excellent but so are surrounding breakfast places. Done going there. I hate writing bad reviews, I really do unless I believe something bad is done intentionally.

I do not write reviews for the places I go, good or bad. However, I have never been more disappointed with the way I was treated in an establishment. I used to love coming to this restaurant with my dad when I was a kid, we used to think it was cool to go there because my siblings name is Bailey too. We used to love the food and the atmosphere. I havent been in years, so I was excited to take my boyfriend to a nostalgic restaurant from my childhood. As soon as we sat down I noticed the excessive Trump propaganda. I immediately felt uncomfortable as did my boyfriend. He knew I was excited to eat there, so we decided to stay. The owner or manager was our waitress and was talking politics with the table next to ours loudly enough for the whole restaurant to hear. I took my phone out to take pictures of some the decor, I think she saw this and did not like it. When she took our order she was very abrasive and short despite my effort at friendliness because I remembered her from when I was a kid. The food was admittedly very bland, not how I remembered. Also, the building could use some updating, the booths had holes in the seating and the ceiling had moisture stains. The whole time we were eating she seemed very annoyed with our presence. When we paid she seemed annoyed because my boyfriend paid with a card, not cash. Maybe some people just have bad days, but upon reading reviews, others have had similar experiences. It felt like she was judging us based on how she thought we would vote. My views align with Republicans and I vote accordingly every election, so for her to judge her customers based on how she thinks they will vote is wrong and very unprofessional. Of course everyone has the right to their beliefs and a right to say what they want, but the lack of respect for customers was not okay. Baileys has definitely cultivated the kind of customers they want to serve and have made sure to let anyone who doesnt fit into that category know they are not welcome. We went for a nice breakfast and left with a bitter taste in our mouths.

This was our first visit and I brought the family for a birthday dinner. Hands down the best Chicken Fried Chicken and gravy Ive had in many years. It took up the entire plate. And tasted SO FRESH. And the onion rings are huge and crispy and delicious too. Everyone else loved their Chicken Fried Steak and burgers also. The atmosphere was low key and comfortable. Our waitress (Cienna, I think) was FANTASTIC, responsive and knowledgeable, and friendly. ( the type of person I would definitely hire!) Thanks Baileys for a great meal!

Love this place. Their sweet tea is perfect! Husbands favorite is the hamburger. My favorite is the hash browns. The fish dinner meal includes two fish, fries, garlic bread and salad. It was enough for two people! The pecan cobbler has become our take out for later because we are too full for dessert after our meal.

First off, our waitress was great. Very attentive, very nice girl. I would recommend not getting the fishermans platter or pretty much anything that comes on it. You can tell its frozen bargain basement product. The only flavor the fish had was grease and a slight french fry flavor as you can tell they are cooked in same oil. Crab cake wasnt BAD but thats bout it. Shrimp was paper thin and kinda tough. The French fries are pretty good. Had a light little crisp to the outside and the seasoning was good. If I go back Ill try the breakfast menu and see how that goes.

TLDR: you wont be disappointed with the cheeseburger and fries are very good. The chicken fried steak, mash potatoes, and taters tots will disappoint you. I order a cheeseburger basket (basket means a dollar more =sides, in this case French fries), and chicken fried steak with white gravy, Texas toast, and mash potatoes with brown gravy (no salad, replaced with tater tots ). In total, the bill was 29.21, 11$ (no tax) for the burger basket. Overall the burger(taste exactly like an Angus burger from McDonalds but with a slightly better patty and about 5x as much pickles and lettuce) and fries are definitely worth the price and I would recommend to tell them not to make the burger a forest with all that lettuce and pickles. The French fries were crisp and slightly poatoey with a great seasoning However, the chicken fried steak (recommended to put gravy on the side) and all it sides was a let down. The Texas toast was just white bread toasted, not too bad. The mash potatoes were slightly grainy and too smooth, the white gravy was thick and mushy, the brown gravy was slightly better but not a strong taste profile and combined with the mash potatoes was a let down. The tater tots were definitely fried but lack any potatoness about them and was more of an oily taste which is disappointing. The big one, the chicken fried steak batter could not hold onto the steak and a little bit too chewy for my liking. The decor is acceptable, but it has definitely age quite a bit, if youre sensitive about cleanliness do not come here. Honestly, the best part was the server/hostess, theyre more attentive and polite then every restaurant Ive been in, though you can tell that the waitress was new due to the way they handle your order. Overall, 8/10, majority of this score going to the server/waitress/host, then the burger and fries. The chicken fried steak didnt help in the slightest alongside the tater tots, mash potatoes and both white/brown gravy. On a side note, dont bring your politics in here and it seems the cooking staff were arguing with one another providing a slightly anxiety inducing atmosphere.

We wanted to get lunch somewhere close to his house and came to Baileys. I had a breakfast at 1230pm which was more than enough, znd delicious. The rest had hamburgers onion rings and my grandson said his was the best burger he ever had. We come to Texas twice a year to visit. Baileys will become part of our visit.

Ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings. The burger was okay but had an off-putting flavor to it. The onion rings were flavorless, they seemed to have no seasoning in the batter or on the onions and while they werent raw they were a little thick and the texture could have been a little less crunchy. I just prefer different burger places.

Cant get any more old fashion than this. A very tasty burger, so simple, very clean, doesnt have that grease addition, always go with the tots for a great combo, good taste, cozy atmosphere, its been there for years but theres a first for everything and now to try the breakfast. What a surprise. Kind of taste like what whataburger used to make back then. It is a bit moldy in some places, probably better off taking out.

Just tried this place for the first time and it was quite pleasant. The food was good and the people were really nice. I almost didnt go after reading a few reviews but Im glad I didnt let that stop me for trying for myself. I cant say for a fact, but Im willing to bet that the few people that left a negative review did so more because of the restaurant decorations rather than the food or service being bad. Yes, there are Trump decorations all over. If you are bothered by that, go be sensitive somewhere else. My burger was good and fries were cooked nicely. I ordered my food to go and it didnt take any time. I was there for a total of maybe 12 minutes. In that wait time I chatted with the woman upfront and she was so nice. I will definitely return again to try breakfast with my family. Dont be put off by negative reviews. Everyone has rough days, so maybe those were some rough days in between. However, Im willing to bet that it was a completely different reason that some of those people left negative reviews. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot.

I wanted to love this place as an adult, since I once worked here as a teenager. Everytime my family orders to go, there is an excessively long wait time. I mean tonight we ordered 2 burgers and my husband said there were 2 tables in the restaurant, but it still took over 40 minutes between ordering and receiving the burgers with no explanation or apology . I am very upset at the decline of this establishment... As it once used to be wonderful... I get everyone has their own experience and deserves to give it a chance for themselves.... Because the food IS good... What I am saying is my most recent encounters with this place have unfortunately been more worse than they have been great due to poor customer service.

Bland food that the owner probably gets on rotating out discount at the supermarket. Stopped by here about a month ago after church. Food took a long time, probably 30-40 minutes to get to the table. The owner/manager was very apologetic to all the customers. She said she had given her regular cook the day off, and it was taking longer than usual. She offered everyone in there a complimentary cobbler for their trouble, which I thought was a stand up thing to do. Came back today again for lunch. Was only about 50% capacity, not crowded. Wife and I ordered our food. After a slight delay we got it. About 10 minutes in, We told our waitress that we would like to place an order to go to take to our son at home. We finished our meal and waited...and waited....Asked about the order several times. We got Its coming soon about 10 minutes later, Its being boxed up now. It was another 15 minutes before we got it. Dont lie to the customer. There seemed to be a big lack of communication between the waitstaff and the kitchen. It took us 45 minutes to get our food to go after we ordered it. It still was not crowded. I mentioned how long it took and the waitress told me I will tell the owner. What good does that do me? This place is so close to our church, and a convenient place to stop, but we wont be back.

Chicken Fried Steak - BLAND and mostly breading Fried Fish - edible, but onion rings were INEDIBLE (Had this rough texture to them and no flavor). Kids Hot Dog - NUKED in the microwave and wrinkled. Portion sizes were small even by kids standard and OVERPRICED Thought I saw them taking the food from the freezer frozen and then cooking it, food did not feel or taste remotely fresh. It was a shame too, my wife and I would have loved to have made this one of our go-to spots to eat, but we do not plan on returning any time soon.

Still one of the best places in Houston to get a burger & fries!! Leighann & Jeff Moser have stayed true to the Bailey s original menu and quality for over 20 years. I know because my family has been customers of Bailey s since before I was born ;) Friendly service and relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of options from salads to fried catfish. Wednesday is homemade chicken & dumplings. Even with all those appealing options it s hard for me to pass up a good burger!

Highly recommend checking this place out they have the best homemade breakfast food. They also have amazing turkey burgers and some good dinner specials the place is very clean old-school restaurant. I have been going there for the past 10 plus years always been good. Just be patient on the wait time because they cook everything fresh nothing pre-cooked.

The food was great and the service was very friendly. Slot of reviews say they let and spent their money elsewhere due to the Trump flags. I am the opposite, I will eat there much more often because of the flags.

The severely rude server is the only one I saw this visit and the food, if you dont order the sugary biscuits or pancakes (which taste good) and instead, something savory, its not memorable. They also charge so much for absolutely everything (including things you dont expect to be charged for) that you will pay more than you expect if you are not careful.

Prior to the pandemic, we ve eaten at Bailey s many times. Food was always ok and tried to support local business. Today we walked in and hanging on the wall above our table was a 3 x 5 flag saying Trump for President. Don t Tread On Me. We immediately left. While they have the right to fly whatever flag they wish, we have the right to support the businesses we wish. My husband compared it to flying a swastika on the wall. We won t be back. Ever. Very disappointing and reflective of a sad time for our great country.

Note: Owners are Trumpists, they were flying the flag during/after election. This restaurant offers breakfast ALL Day and has some common lunch and dinner options (burgers, sandwiches, fried chicken/seafood, etc.). We went during lunch, the service was a bit slow (only 1 waitress for the dining room), and the food was alright. My friend had a turkey burger and said it tasted too gamey. My husband had a regular cheeseburger and was pleased. I had a jumbo hamburger (=double Patty) which really was quite large and fairly good. Not the best burger Ive had, but its not bad. I really liked the tots! Theyre a little pricey for being a little diner, though.

Went there to enjoy their burgers my daughter and I. We love to go there frm time to time dine in and then afterward we sit and talk. The waitress is very friendly and nice. It is a nice small place to go dine in and enjoy your company or sometimes I see people come by themselves. There is a lot of much older people come and just enjoy themselves.

Their chicken fried steaks are delicious. I love their cream gravy and always order extra. For biscuit lovers, their biscuits are SO delicious. Fluffy, buttery melt in your mouth!
