My daughter s wedding on February 2024 was truly a dream come true, and the center of our perfect day was Lost Mission. We were looking for a venue that was beautiful, spacious, and unique and Lost Mission was just that. The ceremony chapel , reception hall and the property itself were just so beautiful every detail was so perfect. We fell in love over and over after every visit and walk through. Our guests were completely blown away by the venue and setting- they are still talking about how special it was. I can t put into words how incredibly beautiful this place is. With 150 guests, the reception hall never felt crowded, nor did it feel empty. We decided on the drapes for the reception hall which made the venue so jaw-dropping beautiful. We received endless compliments on the beauty of the space and how delicious the food was by almost everyone who attended. Addison, who worked with us from our first meeting to the wedding day itself was just outstanding. She was so knowledgeable, patient, and communicative, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the process. Truly blessed to have celebrated such a memorable event at Lost Mission. We highly recommend it!

Lost Mission was an absolutely stunning venue for our wedding. We were shocked at how beautiful the reception hall was when we entered giving us a surreal feeling we will never forget! The beautiful creek leading from the chapel to the reception area was perfect in setting a tranquil atmosphere. We got married nearly 3 weeks ago and we are still getting compliments on how great the food was! We chose the tuscan chicken and it was awesome! Also, the bartenders were attentive and skillful at their craft. Every drink I had was delicious! The only thing better than the amazing food, drinks, and amenities the venue offered was the staff! Addison and Sara communicated well and were patient, knowledgeable, and caring. Even the waiters and waitresses were exceptionally kind and respectful. We feel truly blessed to have had our wedding here and would highly recommend this venue!

This venue is perfect if you are looking for a romantic, spacious and unique location. We attended a wedding there, and everyone of our friends and family continually exclaimed about the beauty of the place. The owner did a wonderful job designing this place. The food was phenomenal and the drink were tasty. Clean bathrooms. This is a worthy place to check out for any bridal or groom party looking for a venue. One word of warning: take extra shoes because the walking, although not extensive, can be difficult in heels.

Our venue was by far our guests favorite part of our wedding (and honestly, ours, too). There is nothing like this venue from an architectural perspective anywhere around, and my husband and I immediately fell in love with it the moment we arrived. We worked with Adisson, who was absolutely wonderful. She was very organized and responsive throughout the whole process. So responsive, that on the day of the wedding, I texted her that we needed more champagne in the bridal suite, and it somehow appeared in about 60 seconds. We were impressed! We also loved the flexibility we had with table arrangements within the venue as well as the options available. We added the drapes, the firewall, and 10 uplights that were candelight color during dinner and switched to hot pink when the dancefloor opened. For food, we had the BBQ buffet. Im not gonna lie, we were not very impressed with the food at the tasting, but were confident all other aspects of our wedding would make up for it. Well on the day of the wedding, the food was great!! We are very appreciative of Adisson and loved using Lost Mission as our venue.

I recently attended a wedding and reception here. The facilities are beautiful and the land is gorgeous. The layout of the entire compound is a little mind-boggling as there are so many hills and everything seems so far apart from one another. The chapel and the reception area are very far apart and the bathrooms are very inconveniently placed. The brides room is big and beautiful, everything you would expect. The grooms room, while a bit smaller, is also very good. The Lost Mission staff were phenomenal. Their kitchen staff, which is on -site, were great. Addison, the venue coordinator, was excellent and really knew how to keep things running smoothly. She is a real gem for this venue! The only two things that really made me not like this place were the owner and the security guard. At the end of the night the owner began bossing around attendees and outside vendors. The security guard was on his phone most of the night and was rarely keeping anything secure except at the end of the night when he rudely told people to leave rather than ask politely. Overall, I would recommend this place, but with some reservations. 8/10

We fell in love with this venue the moment we saw it during a tour! It perfectly reflects San Antonio and hill country charm. The chapel is so romantic! We just knew it was the venue for us! The entire planning process with Adisson and Lost Mission was great! They were helpful and upfront with everything that was included with the venue. Our wedding day went so smoothly it was a dream come true! The food and drinks were excellent. We received so many compliments on the venue and the food and beverages! If you re looking for a romantic venue with great service, book Lost Mission now! You won t regret it!!

To start off, this venue was beautiful and was close to earning a 5 star review, until the end of our reception. Lets start with the positives: - Most of the staff are extremely helpful and want to make your day special and everything memorable. - There is alot of space and capacity to create different layouts or themes in an already beautiful and romantic setting. - The chapel and the firewall were unique to the venue and all the guest commented on the beauty. - Our guests commented on how delicious the food and margaritas were. Shout out to Chris for doing a great job! - The grounds are very well kept and have the ability to host large or small weddings. - There are multiple places for pictures and purposes pictures came out beautiful! Negatives - The biggest issue we had with the venue was our DJ announced at 10:59 that we had two more songs left and then the reception was over. At 11:01 our DJ abruptly ended the music- mid song, due to Sara (a person who works at the venue) saying he had to end the music immediately. All guests were asked to leave and we were unable to end our reception with one last song which would have ended roughly at 11:05. Sara also asked our DJ to never come back since he announced that the venue requested him to end the music, which they did ask him. If you do not end your music right at cut off time, they will end it for you. I also want to mention that we had to be out of the venue at 12:00am and we were out of there by 11:50pm. No issues. We were disappointed that our beautiful and magical wedding day and night ended with this rude conversation with our DJ instead of with our wedding planner. Who was there til the end of the evening. - Margaritas are not strong, if you get the frozen batches they are delicious but barely have any tequila. - Bridal suite had stains on the furniture and the trash was half way full on the morning of wedding day. - After we had decided on a menu, they moved up the prices a month after so we had to change our menu to save an extra $600. - They mention they have a golf cart to shuttle elderly people and people with disabilities, however we did not have it provided after we asked for it that week.

Lost Mission venue is the most beautiful venue in the San Antonio area. Once we saw the beautiful architecture of the chapel and the interior details from the pews to the chandeliers, my husband and I instantly knew we wanted to be married here. The reception hall is located just a short walk down from the chapel which is very spacious and just as beautiful. Olivia and Adisson were very friendly and helpful to work with and made wedding planning an ease. It was so convenient to have bartending and catering services provided by Lost Mission. The food was delicious (highly recommend the chicken piccata). We are so happy with how our wedding day turned out and love looking back to the photos that capture the beautiful memories and the beautiful scenery Lost Mission provides.

Very cute place! Our experience seemed very rushed. Im not sure if this was intentional but not the quality I would have expected from a place like this. Unsure of where the staff came from, they didnt wait on anyone very well. Seemed to be high in a couple of cases and was just awful at being waiters and waitresses. You would think that when someone is paying good money for an event they staff would be a bit more on point. Instead of floating around like they had no clue what to do. They were also very unresponsive when it came time to explain how things worked. Personally, I was frustrated, and I know others were too, but I guess that is the experience they wanted everyone to have. I would consider my words when doing business with the Mission.

Our wedding (9/17/22) was truly a dream come true, and at the center of our perfect day was Lost Mission. We were looking for a venue that was beautiful, spacious, and had a unique Texas charm to it, and Lost Mission checked all of those boxes and more. We had a large number of out-of-state guests, and we loved giving them a taste of San Antonio mission-style architecture. I attended my dear friends wedding over the weekend and witnessed a venue employee being unnecessarily rude and barking at several people. It was at the least unprofessional, and something my friend and her new husband are very upset about. I was appalled at what I witnessed. Anyway, I asked what the barker s name was and could only find out that it was Sara. I asked to see her to make her aware of what I saw and ask that her issues be handled privately, but I was told she was unavailable. I d be so upset to pay the rate of the venue and then see and hear the volatile behavior from this woman. It was shocking, I didn t realize people acted this way. I d definitely reconsider your venue choice rather than be at the risk of having your guests and yourselves exposed to Ms Sara on what should be a very special day. Reply to owner s response: Yes, I was there and yes, you do have an embarrassing employee who likes to yell and is named Sara (as you can see her name mentioned in other reviews). I guess it s easier to lie in response to this review than be honest, which is just another reflection on how your establishment is ran. I urge all my friends to look for another venue and will continue to do so.

When COVID-19 hit, our dream of having a destination wedding was put on hold. My husband and I did not want a traditional wedding as we were overwhelmed about the process and extremely set on a very specific vision for the overall look and feel of our wedding. We didnt think wed be able to find the venue of our dreams locally, but regardless, we began visiting a handful of venues before finally finding Lost Mission. The second we step foot on the venue grounds, we were blown away. After meeting Olivia and Sara, we were completely sold! Olivia and Sara were warm, welcoming, professional, and extremely thorough about the entire process. They helped guide us, answered all of our questions, and eased any wedding planning stress we may have had at that point! This venue was absolutely dreamy, but most of all, so convenient! From ceremony to reception, Lost Mission is the perfect all-in-one venue. They had the most adorable chapel, beautiful indoor/outdoor areas for the reception, and on-site catering/bar services. We received so many compliments about the venue, food, drinks, firewall, and amazing service! Lost Mission was everything we could have hoped for and MORE! Its taken me a while to write this review only because I wanted to have time to let my emotions settle and provide a fair review based on our experience. I do want to preface, however, that the venue is absolutely stunning. The beauty and uniqueness speaks for itself. This property had everything we wanted and our wedding was still a dream. I originally worked with Hailey and then Olivia and they were both wonderful and always responsive. The venue grounds and coordinators both deserve 5 stars. We booked this venue in December 2018 for a Saturday wedding in April 2020. We wanted a year and a half to plan and save up since we were paying for the whole wedding ourselves. Covid hit and everything shut down a month before our wedding. We had a handful of back and forth calls from the owners asking our options for rescheduling. The first call they said theyd let us have anything during the summer 2020 but couldnt book passed August. We felt that wouldnt do much because we didnt know how long things would be shut down and asked to reschedule a year out. They said no and said we could have before the end of the year. We still felt worried that Covid would be effecting things, so they finally after several calls said yes for 2021 but wouldnt give us a Saturday and wouldnt refund us the extra $2000 that we paid to have a Saturday. They also mentioned that our contract basically doesnt obligate them to even let us do any of this, which made us feel that we should be careful or thankful that they let us reschedule at all. It wasnt a good feeling. We were incredibly disappointed with their customer service and did have an attorney review the contract. It actually does state on there that even in the event of death of the bride or groom, natural disaster, or war that there are no refunds. LOL wow. We asked again if they would at least give us an upgrade like the drapes or Edison bulb chandeliers that are both under $2K, to be fair for the Saturday difference thinking this would be a fair trade off because they own those items and it wouldnt cost them anything, and they said no. They let us come a day before the wedding to drop off our wedding decor and set up early since no one was getting married on the week day before our wedding, which we are grateful for, and we showed up and they had the drapes hanging. We thought maybe they had a change of heart and we were so thrilled. We came back in the morning to start getting ready for the wedding and they had taken the drapes down. It almost felt like a slap in the face, Im not sure if it was intention or not. I just feel like their greed and disregard for customer satisfaction was a bit unbelievable. Im more disappointed in those simple facts that I cant bring myself to give them any more stars than 2, which is a huge shame because this venue has it all but customer service, especially when were talking about tens of thousands of dollars that we spent, means more to me than anything else. I hope this review helps them treat future couples better because we were kind and patient the entire time and I dont feel like we deserved that.

5 stars all the way!!! I don t even know where to begin. The staff was thoughtful, helpful, caring, and all around fabulous! I don t know any other venue that will run extra water and drinks to the bride and groom rooms as we drink through everything on the day of- while they re helping our coordinator setup in the reception hall. I could text Olivia and she d come up and help us with anything. Sara was also just as amazing and became my go-to on the wedding night as she made sure my champagne glass was filled all night! Not many brides have that kind of access to their site managers. There are so many moving pieces on wedding day and they pulled it off flawlessly. We had a large amount of vendors and family on property the day of and they helped our coordinator pull everything off. The property itself is stunning! I knew I wanted it from the moment I saw the Mission style chapel. We also loved that it was all inclusive and wheelchair accessible. They drove my cousin(one of our groomsmen) down to the reception site in a Polaris vehicle. We had shuttles on the day of and they made sure those ran smoothly and we had ample parking for guests that drove there. My bridal portraits were on site and we were the only ones there. We had the whole place to ourselves with access to the bridal suite to change and use the restroom. Oh yeah! The restrooms on site are spotless, air conditioned, and there are so many! They also have the best essential oils pumping through. We opted for the fire wall and it really made our cocktail hour and reception shine. We were terrified of hosting a Pandemic wedding but they put our mind at ease and we pulled it off without a single person getting sick. Our guest list dropped from 300 to 65 and they helped us make sure everything was done with health and safety in mind. We put less chairs at the tables, opened up the reception hall doors, hosted our photo booth outside, and they showed us pics of them cleaning and sanitizing the spaces before our wedding(yes, I was that bride). Even with all of this- they never batted an eye to our requests or cries for help when the day got closer and the numbers were unstable in our area. I highly recommend Lost Mission. Our wedding was the most fabulous night! Well worth it to have everything we wanted. And I m teary eyed remembering not only our perfect wedding night but also my bridal portraits, run throughs, and going for the tour of the property. THANK YOU TIMES A MILLION!!

Words cannot begin to describe the beauty of this venue. You will have to take a trip out there and see for yourself! We wanted a Spanish style venue and this Lost Mission was everything we could have hoped for!! They had amazing open houses where we were able to experience different vendors in action. Sara and Olivia were always so kind and welcoming and HELPFUL!! I know Texas weather can be crazy, so it was important for me to have a venue that was both beautiful inside and outside...did I mention their gorgeous chapel is climate controlled?! Everything about Lost Mission was absolutely perfect and would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a jaw-dropping venue for their wedding!

My wife and I have nothing but great things to say about Lost Mission! The moment anyone goes there, they will be blown away about this hidden treasures in the Texas hill country. This place is absolutely stunning, from the old spanish mission style, with their beautiful wooden doors and stunning wooden pues, to their amazing open reception hall that has all the accommodations you will ever need, were hands down one of the best venues we saw or have been to. But, it wasnt just the breathtaking location or the old spanish mission that really set this place apart from other venues, its the level of service, accommodations and just overwhelming support and ease to work with from Oliva and Sara that really made our special day that much more enjoyable. From the moment we started talking with Oliva and Sara, the decision to finalize Lost Mission became a no brainer. Their breakdown of individual pricings from rentals, bar accommodations, decorations and what was to be expected from an overall cost perspective was incredible and detailed. Sara was very welcoming and patient when discussing prices, decorations and vendors with us. They were both even willing to give us expert advice on typical reception unknowns like bar accommodations and what their advice was when dealing with bar cost for certain guest sizes, which really helped us determined where we could spend our budget wisely. They were even willing to mix and match multiple linens and napkins colors for us which fit our wedding color scheme wonderfully, as my wife had her heart set on doing a very colorful mexican fiesta theme. Even as covid continued to cause extreme worrisome, Oliva and Sara really became a proactive and comforting area of relief in letting us know their policy in dealing with county shutdowns and city ordinances, which really gave us peace of mind as we had heard some horror stories of venues just filing for bankruptcy and essentially leaving couples with losing out on major deposits. They both were such a blessing in helping us understand our options, it the situation changed due to the pandemic. Around the 30 day mark, Oliva really helped us finalized our last minute details and even helped us make better changes as we had guest that originally RSVP, cancel due to covid. They were truly compassionate to last minute changes and unforeseen issues that were happening with no fault to ours as the bride and groom. The night before, during our rehearsal, Oliva and Sara made sure that we had everything that we needed to have as many run throughs as we needed to get the ceremony and reception just the way we wanted it! They even let us store decorations the night before, to make the day of that much easier and stress free for the us. The big day went off with very little stress, Oliva and Sara were always around if we had questions during the decorating process and were even so accommodating as some of our vendors ran a bit late to the party. What was most amazing about this, was that they were always close by but never gave us the feeling like we were being rushed They allowed the bridesmaids to feel comfortable in their bridal sweet, while the groomsmen were constantly in and out of the groomsmen room doing last minute usering or set up. We never once felt like we were rushed to get from one place to another or felt like we couldnt do to much to make everyone in our wedding party feel welcomed or have a good time! The reception was a blast! And thanks to Oliva and Sara for being flexible with the vendors in set up and allowing them to do their jobs to make that party so successful! Our vendors really appreciated the flexibility. All in all, I would highly recommend anyone who is looking to have a wedding go with Lost Mission! The level of support, courtesy and overall professionalism that we got from Oliva and Sara was incredible. Lost Mission really goes above and beyond to make any couple feel like you are the only ones that matter on your special day!

Do not do business with these people! They are wolves in sheep s clothing! They are nice at first but when things start changing they turn into different people. I was suppose to get married April 18,2020 and was contacted by Lost Mission to postpone my wedding. I never had a final walk through, i never picked out any linens, any colors for my wedding, didn t provide final guest count, NOTHING, and they kept all $10,000 of our money. They make you pay in full months in advance to trap you into this. They offered to reschedule however, i paid for the most expensive day, Saturday, during the most expensive month, April, and was told i had to pick a Friday or Sunday in June, July, or august and i had to decide by April 30th when we were still with stay at home orders! Friday and sundays are $2500 less than what we paid for saturday and was told no refunds, that it had to be wasted on decor we didn t need since we already had decor. By April 30th, We were in no place to make that decision and i had to even submit a note for my healthcare provider because i have terrible respiratory issues and cannot expose myself to anything covid related. I was called by their rude owner and was told to have compassion for them, however none was shown to the brides and families affected by this. I was told their future brides are priority to the Saturday dates and not to those who had already paid for saturdays affected by covid. They want to say they are suffering by it seems from their responses to previous bad reviews they are doing just fine. I was contacted by Sara in June, which i was initially grateful for because i thought they had a change of heart. I again asked for a fall 2020 and spring 2021 date and again she said no i had to decide for a date in July and august. Well in June/July our mayor was addressing bringing in freezer trucks because so many people started to pass due to covid and our numbers started skyrocketing again after reopening restaurants/bars and were going towards a possible 2nd shut down. I found it inappropriate to force me again to pick a wedding date during those months. All i ever asked for was a fall 2020 or spring 2021 date and they were unwilling to do any of those. I never wanted to cancel my wedding only choose a date that was safe for my family and friends to gather. Keeping 100% of money that people work so hard to save is unbelievably unethical. You all have no heart. I understand keeping deposits but keeping money for things never picked out is wrong. All the brides i know getting married in spring branch/San Antonio areas have had no problems rescheduling for 2021. i wish i would ve seen the signs earlier that this venue was a bad decision. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. I don t know how y all sleep at night, but i guess it s because you pocketed lots of money for services never provided. Every single vendor we have paid and have contracts with has continued to work with me for any available date i choose except this venue. My vendors are wonderful from food, flowers, djs, photographer, wedding planner, etc who also have contracts with me but they have a heart and are understanding. They will all be providing services at the new venue we choose for 2021. Thank you lost mission for ruining my wedding experience for me, my family and my fiancé s family. you all will never understand how heartbreaking and how much pain this has caused me and my family. All i wanted was a later date. That s all.

My son and daughter in law had their wedding here this August and everything before the wedding with the Lost Mission staff Sarah and Olivia ran smoothly, communication was great, but when the day of the wedding came we saw a completely different side of their management style and hospitality. This place really falsely advertised their venue as being easy going and accommodating when in reality once they have your money, they are strict, rude, and unempathetic. We thought we were going to be getting help to make the wedding day go more smoothly, but instead they were the main cause of all the stress that occurred on the wedding day. You would think a wedding venue would want to be as professional and accommodating on a day they know can already have a bunch of stress, not be the cause of it. You can tell Sarah & Olivia are not on the same page, making things very unorganized. One of them would tell the bride one thing and then the other would come back and change it. Here are a few examples of what all occurred with the management: 1. My daughter in law went the day before to drop off all the wedding decorations (since they do not allow you to decorate until the day of the wedding) and she made her own Photo Booth that had ribbons hanging down and to ensure it didnt get tangled, she hung it up. When she did this Sarah confronted the wedding coordinator and told her you do know today is a drop off only. Just because she hung up one thing to ensure it wouldnt get tangled and make a stress mess the day for the wedding, just very not understanding or compassionate. 2. We got there right when they opened at 10am and everything we did, we felt constantly watched. As my daughter in law and her bridal party were setting up, anything they were doing wrong was immediately confronted. A heads up for brides decorating a head of time, if you have your own caterer, know that they are responsible for putting down all the tables they are to use, including the cocktail tables for outside. So if you have any decorations for those tables, do not expect to put those out until after your caterer arrives and is finished setting up. 3. The venue has a send off area that is on the other side of the venue, separate from where everyone parks. In this separate area there is an unloading zone and then several spaces to park. Although there is space, they made the groom park on the other side of the property where the guests park, even though there was plenty of space for the get away car to stay back there. Instead of confronting the bride about this (since she had gone ahead and parked the get away car back there thinking it was okay), they put out a sandwich board sign saying any cars parked out here past 6pm will be towed. Threatening their CUSTOMERS (people who have payed to use this venue) to be towed, and then when confronted by the brides sister, one lady said they could park the grooms car back there and then minutes later after the sandwich board sign was put out the bride asked the other lady she said the grooms car could not be parked back there, that someone would have to go get it and park it back there 30 minutes before send off. 4. instead of it feeling like we rented out the entire venue for the whole day, it felt like we rented the venue room by room. From the bridal suit, to the chapel, to the reception hall it felt like we were being rushed out once we were done in each. We were told we had to get all of the bridal parties belongings out of the bridal suite before the wedding started. So the bridesmaids were lugging their stuff from the brides room to their cars (it is quite a walk uphill), in the hot Texas August heat after getting their make up and hair done, sweating right before the ceremony.

This is SUCH a beautiful location for a wedding! The chapel is gorgeous and has plenty of natural light (I m a wedding photographer and this is a HUGE deal for me) and the reception space is perfect. I love the cocktail hour area outside with the firewall, too. It gives me a chance to photograph the completed reception space untouched before guests come in! The reception space has plenty of room, and you can have intimate weddings without the room feeling empty, or you can have a grand occasion without the room feeling cramped pretty magical! Haley, the venue manager and coordinator, is AMAZING at what she does, and it s always a pleasure to work with her. I definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a classy space.

Lost Mission was a dream come true! We looked at about a dozen wedding venues between Minneapolis, Austin, and New Orleans. Lost Mission is unique it had an incredible entrance that really gave our out-of-town guests the Texas Hill Country feel. The stucco architecture is authentically straight out of the South West and the multiple building set-up offered great options for where we could hold our cocktail hour. Our wedding was late October with perfect weather. Since we were Catholic, we provided buses from the San Antonio Riverwalk to Mission San Jose and then up to Lost Mission. The 45 minute drive didn t seem to bother guests, especially when we had good music and beer and wine! We held our cocktail hour on the Chapel Plaza and had a remote bar set up there with cocktail tables and a guitar duo. It was magical. After moving down to the reception hall, we had the drapes and everything looked airy, soft, and romantic. Our guests also loved the patio where we had tables, a cigar bar, and the fire going! It was so memorable and had endless compliments from our guests. During the planning process, working with Hailey was so easy. She was incredibly responsive to my endless questions and bridezilla requests and kept all details straight. She and Sara were also able to help us with our bar package to meet our budget. They were also very flexible and we were able to add extra hours to keep the party going as long as possible! Without their help, the planning process would have been a lot more stressful! They also worked perfectly with our wedding coordinator and all of our vendors to make sure our wedding was a breeze. I can t recommend their venue enough! Thank you, Lost Mission!!

Edit: I would like to add that I left a similar review on other sites that I reviews services and products recently and Lost Mission is trying to have those taken down. I am currently disputing this as my review is honest and accurate of what happened to us. But please be wary of some of the wedding websites such as The Knot who let companies take down negative reviews. My fiancé and I toured Lost Mission and fell in love with it. However, the best date available for us was quickly booked. We inquired back about other availabilities and have never heard back. This was over 3 weeks ago. I was basically willing to move everything else around so that I could have my wedding their but they lost our business because they are not professional enough to shoot an email back or return a call. I would not recommend. As a heads up to future couples looking at Lost Mission, ask for ALL of their pricing information up front. When you ask they will give you a 2 page brochure. You will think, yeah I can do this, when you tour they will give you a huge booklet that has tons of hidden costs and extras. When you ask for a contract, there will be even more hidden fees and charges not included elsewhere. Very misleading. So ask specifically for all of this up front. In addition, there alcohol policy is super weird. My mom is very conservative so I inquired about a dry wedding, told sure, no problem. Was never told until I read the contract that if you do not use the bar they automatically charge you an extra $1400. So that $6-7K base price tag is at least a grand more. Gorgeous place. Would not recommend.
