About the Company
rating: 4.4
Cork and Pig Tavern is a chef driven from scratch restaurant featuring woodfired stonehearth pizzas, salads, sandwiches, pork ribs, steaks and a pork chop. The full bar is boutique wine focused, craft cocktails and local craft beers on draft. The interior design embraces modern touches with traditional tavern elements of brick and wood. Open kitchen showcases our pride of excellence in food quality. A beautiful covered patio is breezy but keeps our guests out of the Texas sun.

First time for the 5 of us at this delightful restaurant. Nice modern but warm atmosphere. The menu has a nice selection of appetizers, salads , sandwiches and entrees. I got the fish tacos and a side salad with blue cheese. Tacos were very good but the salad was amazing. At the table we also had a cheese pizza, the steak and salad, and the fish sandwich, all were very good. I highly recommend this restaurant to all!!!

Ok, step aside you rich, entitled morons, and let a REAL reviewer take it from here. Cork & Pig Tavern is amazing, youre welcome. Thats the short version, and youll thank me when you decide to ignore the 1-star idiots and actually go here. 5 stars, all around. Weve had both adults and kids tell us that its some of the best food theyve ever had, and yes, we are very well traveled in terms of cuisine. So our opinion is the best, thank you. Deviled eggs? They got ya covered. We thought Whiskey Cakes were the best but nope! Cork & Pig for the win. You like Fish Tacos? (heres where you say hell yeah and high five me all-chest) well my friend, Cork & Pig got that taken care of too. We have credible reports that their fish tacos rival Deckhand Daves in Alaska, which if your dumbass doesnt know, are world renown. Brunch anyone?!?! Well this is the best in town. Eggs you can actually taste! And watch out son for those roasted potatoes, holy crap. Yes sir. Omelets are yo thang? Ok! Then order one of Cork & Pigs! And youre still welcome. Prob the best youve had, maybe ever. In summation, you have every reason to go here and have some delicious food for yourself and your family. Feed that family, man! Ignore the rich Southlake crowd, theyve got more money than brain cells anyway. And again, youre welcome!!!

Everything we had was very underwhelming. Cooked and prepped well but bland and boring. Deviled eggs, crab and Parm dip, pork chop, salmon and blue crab all let us down. Genesis was cool.

I took my mother here for Sat brunch and had a wonderful time! The food is so fresh and our dishes were delicious. The fact that they are a scratch kitchen makes such a difference. I have had several items off of their menu but today we decided to order the CPT Omelette and the Chopped Salad without blue cheese. We needed our brunch with the warm peach cobbler which was gluten free much to my delight. This is one of my favorite spots to meet friends or enjoy a date night with the hubs. The live music is great on Thurs nights. Dietary restrictions: People with food sensitivities can order several dishes here bc it s a scratch kitchen and they can accommodate a lot.

The food was quite good, and the service was wonderful. The crab dip and the deviled eggs both had a little kick and were delicious. My daughter ordered the fish and chips, and they werent bad. Her boyfriend had the wood fired chicken, which was pretty good. I had the filet, which was cooked perfectly, seasoned just right, but then served atop a dollop of unnecessary sauce. A good steak needs nothing but a knife and fork. The mashed potatoes were okay, but they were colder than my steak, which was a little disappointing. The salad was brilliant, though I do wish it werent served on the same plate as the hot food. All in all, some great elements, and Id be willing to go back again and try other items. Oh! I almost forgot the star of the show! Those beignets? Not quite the traditional format, but oh my, are they delicious!

Everything that I have tried here is delicious. Couple that with their service and its perfect. We had ordered take away for lunch and the person who picked it up didnt check the boxes before leaving, there were two orders missing the same item and when we called to inquire about it, Nick, the general manager apologized and said hed bring it over to us (we work close to them) and he even included an extra sweet treat for us. Would definitely recommend.

Our table of six had a small variety from the menu from pizza, pork chops, chicken, salad, and my fish tacos/califlower. Everyone was very pleased with their meals, it was all very good. The waitress/bartender was phenominal and made excellent food recommendations. The atmosphere was good enough to have an easy conversation with friends. It was our first time and are excitied about going back to try other things.

This was our first time eating here. We were greeted promptly upon our arrival and seated right away. Our server came to our table within a minute and told us about how everything is made from scratch. We ordered The Pig pizza, a Sauvignon Blanc, and a Texas Lager on draught. Food and drinks came up quickly and we devoured that pizza! The crust was fantastic and the toppings were clearly high quality. Their house-made ranch dressing was the best I ve ever tasted. Perhaps a national distribution opportunity? We enjoyed the beignets for dessert and they were heavenly! We will definitely be making Cork & Pig a regular stop. I hear they have live music on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Looking forward to that!

This place is absolutely amazing! The food is next-level good, the service was nothing short of perfect and the atmosphere is very nice. The food: for an appetizer, we got the guacamole. I think that was better guac than 90% of all Mexican restaurants I ve ever been to with a fresh twist to it. The chips are light and crispy but not too thin, which can be a big problem. We came right before Brunch ended so we were able to get the crab cake Benedict over rosemary biscuits which was probably the best Benedict I ve ever had in my life. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and pan fried. The fish tacos were blackened mahi mahi and were super fresh and delicious! The cauliflower was unreal, it was so delicious and perfectly cooked. The flavors all melded together perfectly. All of the drinks were masterfully crafted. My wife absolutely loved the spicy margarita and mimosa. I loved the cold brewed martini!

The quality of the food was terrible. The server tried to make it right, but it was honesty so bad my wife and I couldn t even eat it. The pork chop was poor quality meat, the sides were drown in seed oils (canola or vegetable) the macaroni was bland and tasteless. The pizza was dripping with grease and poor quality. The fish and chips were fried and overly greasy. The overall taste was bland and poorly seasoned. We both left with nausea and felt sick all evening.

Group of 10 of us for lunch on July 4th. Only 2 other tables in the place. Slow service, had to get my own chair and silverware, waitress served my beer in a chipped glass, cut my upper lip. Asked for new beer/glass after first sip and she did with zero apologies or the beer taken off my bill. Also, dont fall for the sides question. You get a choice and I was told they had fries or truffle fries. They upcharge $6 for pile of miniature, overcooked truffle fries, with no mention when ordering. Food was average with small cuban sandwich and small pizza and 2 light beers and two drink specials was $107 for lunch with the 20% gratuity added for the large table. Not worth it and we wont be coming back.

Fabulous! Kharsten, our server, was excellent; very gracious as server and promoter of restaurant food. Even on a hot night, the patio was pleasant with fans. We even had a mini, battery-powered table light. The wood-fired, basil & panchetta pizza was absolutely divine. Cork & Pig Tavern is definitely one of my favorite restaurants now. Also: gluten-free options are available. I wish we had taken a photo. I recommend the Banfi super Tuscan wine.

This is NOT a Tavern. It s just an overpriced upscale restaurant in Southlake. Food is average. Service? Took 15 plus minutes, on all three occasions at the restaurant, to receive our drink orders. Pizza is good. Other than that it s a place to avoid. Roanoke has a much better version. If you want to call yourself a tavern, make the place look like a tavern. Not a stainless steal black and white unfriendly atmosphere. Won t be back and will pass the word to my friends and associates. I do wish you the best of luck. I believe yours is the third possibly the fourth restaurant in this spot. Not a good track record. Ga Day

Management even came to check on my approval, and Am turned out to be a fantastic and very attentive bartender, server, and host ready with honest suggestions. We will not be back as we just spent good money to have to go get food elsewhere..... when we arrived to Tavernas, they said people have been complaining about it. Wish we had known In response to Cork & Pig- the server was very nice, but I expressed not liking it, and she laughed. Maybe uncomfortable? Of course, were taking it home as why would we pay for something and leave it. At home, we can add stuff to it. Also, from the video, you can see where my husband got up to cancel part of our order so we could leave. We are Def foodies and have had phenomenal eggs elsewhere as these tasted like they came from my kitchen. Just so so, not blown away.

My hubby had the fish and chips, and I had the biscuits and gravy. This was not your mommas biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were perfect with a hint of rosemary! The gravy was flavorful and a great consistency. The bacon had an amazing flavor, but could have been a little more.crispy. The fish and chips were fried but not too greasy. The fish was flaky and had a subtle flavor. The fries were thin and crispy. Altogether a triumph for brunch!

My wife and a couple of her friends went to C & P in Southlake for happy hour and loved it. Thought I would give it a try the next day. My honest assessment is that it is a comfortable place to enjoy a cocktail and appetizers, but I was less than impressed with my entree and sides. I ordered the fillet with mashed potatoes. The quality was good, but the filet was only 5 oz - slightly larger than a silver dollar and maybe 3/4 thick. A comparable amount of mashed potatoes was included with the fillet; maybe two tablespoons. In addition to these items, I also ordered the peanut coleslaw, which was quite good and generously portioned, and spaghetti squash, which tasted like it had been sitting on the stove for hours. It was mushy and not terribly flavorful. Maybe its me, but I prefer veggies *al dente* instead of stewed. The platter of mini beignets (a.k.a.: French market donuts) I was served for desert were undercooked and rather doughy, covered with powdered sugar (as expected), drizzled lightly with syrup and served with a delicious Amaretto cream sauce. If cooked a bit longer, they could have been excellent. I guess I was expecting a product more like Cafe DuMond in New Orleans. My wifes hamburger and home cut fries were very good, but a bit overpriced at $17 (IMHO). Service was not terribly attentive, but adequate. In summary, Ill give them a second chance during happy hour.

Came here on a whim. Was surprised to see it so quiet. Our waitress was incredibly nice and helped us choose (rank) sandwiches and sides. We had three meals: Biscuits and gravy: husband said there must be a grandma in the back making the biscuits as they were obviously made with love. Rank one sandwich: Cuban very well seasoned meat. I would prefer the mustard on the sandwich rather than the side, but I could ve made that choice. Would 100% order again. Rank two sandwich: crispy chicken yep, not as good as the Cuban, but also just as good? Depends on your mood, this was fresh and delicious! Also enjoyed a Piglet, Mimosa, & Bloody Mary piglet was the fav! Women s bathroom layout is odd and not very efficient. One sink leads to a line. Attractive and clean bathroom though.

The first time we came to Cork and pig, it was during happy hour, and we stayed after, and had more drinks and food. Our waitress was so accommodating, even though we were only there at happy hour, and she didn t know if we were staying for real food. Today, I came with two friends for happy hour again. From the moment we sat down, the waitress treated us like we were annoying because at first we only ordered drinks on the happy hour menu. We had every intention of ordering food, and we did. She shouldn t have assumed that we were taking her table just for happy hour drinks. Yes, we did stay for two hours, but I checked many times, and there was no one in her section nor was there a wait. I am a server and understand that frustration, but I assured her early on we were good tippers. She continued to be rude. eventually after we had signed our checks she sent the manager over to ask if we needed our drinks cleared. As a server, I know what that means, so we left. I just don t think you should automatically assume things about people. I left her 30%. I know for a fact the bill was over 150. My two friends also tipped her at least 20%. In a normal situation, If I sit for two hours anywhere, I would ve tipped 50%. I m bummed out that we got treated that way, but next time I will just not request to sit in that area. Sidenote, the food is very good. The happy hour menu is very generous which makes people want to order more or at least me lol they just need to get their service on the same page.

Emma is an amazing server! Great service and recommendations for food. My friend had the Roasted Chicken and he loved and enjoyed it. The house made tartar sauce with the calamari is chefs kiss We ended our meal with beignets and that plate disappeared quickly.. Highly recommend the beignets!! Definitely intend to come back sometime!

Great little spot for brunch/lunch! Everything I tasted was fantastic! Roasted potatoes were perfectly seasoned and the French dip was SUPERB! Their au jus was maybe the best Ive ever had. Everything was seasoned perfectly. Was a little pricey but Id still come back. Only downside is if you come for coffee they dont have dairy alternatives.

Our waitress was phenomenal!!! This was our 1st time here and I loved the ambiance it had a beautiful chic vibe. Great place for date night or even going with the kids. We enjoyed the crab dip which had a slight kick but we couldn t stop eating it. I had the crab cake salad and a Molly Ringwald cosmo it was deliciously dangerous!!! lol.. It will sneak up on you but then again I m a light weight. We also enjoyed this yummy chicken dish but I missed the name the chicken was tender and the sauce was delicious. Last we enjoyed the banana cream pie. We definitely go back.

The server was so nice and the food came out quickly. I got the veggie pizza with chicken added. Fair warning: the pizza was really big for a lunch/personal size portion! The portions for each dish were seriously huge but everyone in our group of 8 were very happy with their meals.

Nice atmosphere with good service but unfortunately mediocre food. Deviled eggs were good, calamari was bland and some pieces soggy, the sauce on the blue crab salmon was gross, the french fries were nice and crispy, but really the closest thing to compare this restaurant to would be the BJs chain with a $250+ price tag for four. I gave an extra star because they can make gluten free pizzas. I wouldnt come here again and cant recommend it.

Im here for the winter menu and the double cut pork chop is sublime as well as the New Yorker pastrami piled high with coleslaw is the tenderest Ive ever had. Wine selection is varied and interesting and apparently half off bottles on Wednesdays. Im sure dessert will be just as good. May have just become one of my favorites.

Saturday late lunch or early dinner, was doing a drive by and saw the place. Nothing Tavern about this, over priced meals, the menu doesn t state that certain items come with a side, you should state so, ppl won t be overwhelmed by the prices. Sat outside wait staff was on point, moved inside for second drink since was getting cool, when leaving saw they turned on the heaters for other customers a bit disappointed. Tavern to me also to have a TV with latest game on no such thing here. Might try again will wait and see. Parking: Handicap parking is slim, and not near door

Theres nothing tavern about this place, so dont expect stews, sausages, or even a wide list of beers, or ambiance, totally misleading. Food was just average, we had a chopped salad with roasted chicken and the chicken parmigiana, which had too much breading and just a very thin chicken breast, the marinara was a touch too acidic (lately converted to be a fan of San Marzano tomatoes and their slight sweetness :), but this one was too far from that). Flavors were just OK, but nothing to brag about. The place is nice, though, nice and modern tables and atmosphere.

Absolutely wonderful experience. All the food was high quality ingredients and made with care and love. There is a vast difference between technical know-how in cooking and cooking that is done very well and is both visually and physically delicious. We only had a quick bite but I honestly cant wait to come back and try whatever they have in season. Calamari is fresh and delicate with delicious options for dipping. The Market Fish tacos (salmon today) were not only well seasoned but they had the right amount of toppings to protein to tortilla ratio down. So delicious in all the flavors that all complimented each other. Truffle fries were good, but the truffle and other seasoning can be strong so have a mint after dinner or just be reminded of your delicious dinner all night lol. The wait staff were awesome and attentive, very friendly and knowledgeable about their dishes. A+ on the decor and atmosphere

Food and cocktails were great. We had a couple signature cocktails and for lunch we enjoyed the fish and chips (huge portion) and the grilled chicken with gravy. I also added on the truffle fries but unfortunately they were kinda cold and tasted old. The chicken had a touch to much anise in it and it killed every other flavor, still great but. Desert was really delicious. Overall a pretty good place.

Went for lunch on Sunday, on a whim. Its a very live place (all hard surfaces), so I couldnt actually hear the greeter/host. Ordered 1. the Crabcake salad (it came with 1 crabcake, about 2.5 inch), 2. a peanut cole slaw side, and 3. a soft drink. After tax and tip, it was $53. So Im having a hard time with the value proposition here. I mean I get the inflation issue, but... I guess Ill be going back to the one $ places.

The only reason why I would return to this place is because of the bartenders. They do not have the same menu as the original location in Las Colinas which is totally absurd! They will definitely lose a lot of business because people like consistency when they go to a restaurant. They are going there for the experience and obviously the food. If the food is inconsistent and the menus are, as well, what is the point of going to the same chain. They should have named it something else if they wanted to do all of that. If the wheel ain t broke don t fix it! I digress.
