Please stay away from this firm! Their team is completely disorganized, only letting an assistant take your case and asking the associate or senior lawyers to step in when something is wrong. My TN was rejected at the border because their paperwork was so bad with typos and the officer said they copied and pasted from the website. Before the paperwork was handed to me, they didnt even follow up with me about my actual job, no meetings, no nothing, no preparation, no where to go, no if there are appointment needed. I was so scared and following up everyday as my EAD was expiring. They first promised me three weeks and then it turned to almost 6. They know the law so theyll leave until the last minute to tell you they have paperwork missing, thats when their 30 days start according to their contract. At this point, I seriously think they are scams, all youre paying is for them to draft your papers and thats it. They dont care about you!! They absolutely dont give any care in the world whether you get your visa and its all talk and brag during the consultation. There was no professional guidance as your attorney and so so hard to get replies. I hope people considering them can please stay away, they will put your visa at jeopardy and waste your money!

I decided to contact Hess law firm because I have a friend who recommended me this firm. I made the first appointment (which was supposed to be free). Appointment was at 2:00 p.m., and he was yawning several times during this appointment. I had my written questions, and he asked for my notes and after read them he laughed and throw the notes, instead of gave my notes in my hand. He did not have the professionalism to explain to me exactly what I needed and told me to watch the videos on you tube. At the end of the appointment, she charged me for the appointment, even though it was free. I tried to contact Cristian Alexis Ramos Castillo and he never return the call or reply to my email. Until today he didnt call me back. Overall BAD EXPERIENCE

When I made an appointment for a consultation, everything was perfect. The person who assisted me on the phone was very attentive and very professional, and well, I thought it was a good law firm, but on the day of my appointment, the lawyer who assisted me arrived late, then when he arrived He got a call on his cell phone and he went out to answer it, then he couldnt concentrate on the questions about my case because his personal problems came first and he had to go to another person to ask him and then he just passed by looking at his watch, well, never He resolved my doubts so I went to the consultation, but he did clarify very well about the fee collection if I decided to have them take my case and well, that disappointed me a lot and I decided not to work with them.

Hello Latin American friends. I am Anuar Atala. I am writing to tell you about my experience with the immigration lawyer, Luis Hess. I have lived through the recommendation of another excellent professional in legal accounting for immigrants, the complete process, yes, until the successful conclusion of the long, tedious and exasperating process of obtaining legal permanent residence in the United States. I started on a call with my friend and international accountant, David Matos. He was the one who recommended the professional legal services of lawyer Luis Hess to me. I should mention that I have been a civil engineer for almost 35 years. And in an informal conversation with my accountant, he recommended that due to the social condition that Mexico is experiencing, I would seek the famous green card to be able to continue my personal and professional life in the USA. I HAD MY TOURIST VISA REVOKED THANKS TO THIS COMPANY I came in to the US with my tourist visa and payed these people a lot of money to help me apply for a work visa. I had a company on board that wanted to hire me and I wanted to do things the correct way. After getting an initial meeting with one of their lawyers, I had a good feeling things could workout. As time progressed, I realized they were taking way too long to respond to my emails and I started to notice a lot of negligence from their end, I constantly had to remind them about the progress on my application. My tourist visa had a 6 month limit so I requested AND PAYED for an extension and they processed this for me. I traveled back to Mexico for my meeting to finally acquire my work visa, and to my surprise the embassy had no information indicating that I applied for an extension in the US and I didnt have any information in my application package which they put together for me, so they revoked my tourist visa for 3 years!! So I called them and they suggested to try it again and charged me more for that! They said I was going to be able to get my next meeting two weeks after, BUT I HAD TO WAIT 7 MONTHS. And the second time it was denied as well. They straight up got me revoked from visiting the US! It is incredible that in an attempt to do things correctly, I got screwed and now I cannot return. They were details they never paid attention to and still advised me. I hope this helps others find a lawyer that actually gets the work done correctly, and doesnt treat you like just another number.

Worst experience I have ever had with an attorney, my status in the US changed throughout the years, and I made sure to make process as hard as possible. He knew I had a deadline to stay in the US, he didnt tell me anything, I had to figure it out on my own, he couldve told me sooner and I couldve applied for a different type of visa, but my family did most of the work. And when I finally applied for an F-1 visa, I missed one crucial document that I had to bring to my interview and that delayed the whole process. Trying to communicate with them is the hardest part. The best experience I have had with a lawyer, my status in the US has changed over the years, and he has made sure the process was as difficult as possible. He knew I had to leave the country because my visa was expiring soon, and he decided not to notify me, I had to find out on my own, he could have told me sooner and I could have applied for a different visa, but my family did most of the work . When he finally applied for the student visa, he forgot an essential document for the interview and delayed the entire process. Trying to communicate with them is the hardest part.

We gave him a case for a family member that was held by ice, after giving him all the money he asked for to take our case and all the paper work they asked us for. We neber spoke to him. He never went to go see his client at the detention center and the day of his client hearing with the imigration judge he never showed up he send someone who didnt know what to do. After the judge asking 3 different times for the client s paper, all he said oh i guess my office forgot to send it in Once we went back to talk to main guy we had paid to take on our family member case his assistant just said he just thought he wasn t necessary for the court . Very very disappointed. I don t recommend him at all cuz all the do is ask for money.

I called this office to become better informed as to new immigration laws pertaining to Asylum, for my house-keeper. Upon calling, i was immediately prompted to schedule an appt. by the helpful lady who answered my call. She scheduled me for the next day, no waiting. When I arrived, I was well greeted, tended to, and readily placed in the Conference Room, where i was offered water, chocolate and coffee. Went in for a consultation and I was surprised by how unprofessional the attorney is. Definitely not worth the $100 dollars for several reasons. He initiated the consultation late, he walked out during the consultation supposedly to look up something pertaining to my case, he left us with his paralegal due to him having to make a call, and he was on his phone several times (under table as if I cant see that). He claims to speak Spanish but falls short from that statement. Please do not waste your time and look for an immigration attorney elsewhere where you will be appreciated.

I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would find myself in the middle of an ICE emergency (I didn t think it was even a thing!), until last night. My husband, who is undocumented, was taken into ICE custody, where he was prevented from using the phone, refused food, and harassed repeatedly by different people into trying to coerce him into signing for his deportation. My husband refused and repeatedly maintained that he has a legal right to be in the U.S. and that he wished to call his wife and attorney (requests that were denied). Finally, at 7:30 yesterday evening (my husband hadn t even been in ICE custody for 24 hours at this time), I got a frantic phone call from my husband, telling me what they were trying to do. I spoke at length with his deportation office (who was kind, to be honest, but was very much just doing his job ), who informed me that my husband was already in the removal process and would be deported that night! Frantically, I began calling the office and emailing my husband s paralegal Rosario and Mr. Hess, informing them that this was an emergent situation and that ICE was trying to deport my husband within hours, quite possibly as soon as 11 p.m. that night. At 9 p.m., Rosario called me, and I explained what was going on. Even at 9 p.m. at night, she assured me that she was on it and that she would do absolutely everything she could to halt the deportation process. With the combined efforts of his Rosario and Luis, and their knowledge and expertise of immigration law, a draft copy of the stay for removal was emailed over to his deportation officer at 11 p.m. last night. I believe their hard work and quick action, in combination with the grace of God and some compassion from my husband s deportation officer, helped stop my husband s involuntary deportation last night! Rosario accompanied me this morning to file the stay for real, so now the waiting game is on. My husband s case is long from over, and it is very complicated. We have no idea how this whole situation will play out. But I do know one thing for sure in the event of an ICE emergency (it really is a thing), Luis Hess and his team of paralegals are top notch and will work to support their clients, long after business hours are over! Just like all law offices only care about money and care very little about your case, in my particular experience immigration officials said their lawyers did not do their job to the point of leaving me without a lawyer because The person who represented me resigned and no one was handling my case closely, only some assistants, I do not recommend them at all, I only lost a few thousand dollars thanks to them not doing their job.
