Calling all history buffs, a great free museum tour! Get your donations ready, theres a box at the end to contribute. What a treat, the tours led by historian Robert Gray are a deep dive into the details surrounding the house, the Wilson Pottery Museum housed on site, plus so much more. What an incredible fount of knowledge, the trip there is worth it just to meet and listen to him regale you for an hour. Hes passionate about his work and tracking down the correct historical details and even directing the creation of town maps and brochures to ensure theyre passed down to future generations. Of the over 100 Limecrete homes built in Seguine, this one stands out with its Greek Revival style. The tour includes the new map to guide yourself to the remaining historical sites in Seguine. Hes even included the sites where long past concrete homes used to stand, what a gem! The addition of the Wilson Pottery Museum and the extra effort he put into researching and communicating is above and beyond. Definitely go if youre in the area, I highly recommend it!

I remember going into this house when I was a young boy around 8 or 9 yrs and this house was just an abandoned house. We would just hang around inside the house and just have fun there. Now it nice to see that they fixed it up and furnished it up with antiques from around the city.

The tour here is free, but I suggest giving a good donation. The gentleman giving the tour is so knowlegable, and gave us a wealth of information about our new home town! I have paid for museums and tours that didnt provide a fraction of service that this did. Highly recommend!!!!

Be sure you have more than an hour because you wont want to miss the amazing information shared by the tour guide, Mr. Grey. This is an historical must-see for Seguin! (Mr. Grey does take lunch!) Visitors may want to try knocking not on the front door, but go around behind where the tour actually starts.
