The girls at the front sat a 4 top that got there after us. Their answer was oh yeah because we don t have a 2top . That doesn t make any sense, if a 2 top gets there first, you sit them at the 4 top table. It doesn t go priority by bigger party size. Please re train your hosts, I understand they re young but try to coach them through how seating works.

Went here due to word of mouth. Crawfish were huge, probably the biggest Ive seen all year. They give you real butter, I would say its seasoned like most places in Texas but not a whole lot of flavor. Sausage was good, corn was bland. If you eat enough crawfish, youll get some spice but not spicy. The price was $35 for 5 lbs which I think its the best Ive seen yet this year. The downfall was that they dont serve beer, but it is a BYOB place which Ive never seen before so I guess you bring your own. Service was outstand the server came up to us tons of times. The place is clean, A/C was blowing cold to the point that it was a bit chilly. They also have an outdoor area to eat at. Its not a bad place, just wasnt my vibe and the flavor wasnt flavorful compared to places I usually go to.

I am not a fan of seafood, but I came with a bike meet. The service and atmosphere is great. BYOB, no smoking sucks, even outside (I vape), family friendly. All in all it is only the menu that led to the 4 stars. I was stuck eating mini corn dogs and fries with a large coke for 12 dollars. Everyone else loved it. Is what it is

As soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated with excellent service. We ordered crawfish, crawfish pot pie , and boudin balls. I was disappointed on how bland the crawfish and 646 platter tasted. The corn and potatoes are boiled in plain water with zero seasoning and some of my crawfish was a bit overcooked and mushy.

This is a seasonal restaurant open when crawfish are available. Alcohol is not served, but customers are welcome to bring their own and a local liquor store will deliver to this restaurant for $10. Plastic cups are available for those bringing their own alcohol. Outside soft drinks and food are not permitted. Air conditioned indoor seating and shaded outdoor seating are available. Outside seating can be quite dusty, as gravel parking areas surround the restaurant. Dine-in menu is on-line now, with a barcode at each table to be scanned with your smart phone No green food is served here. Everything we tasted had no apparent seasoning, but melted butter, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce and seasoned salt are available. Crawdads are sold by the pound, but very little of each can eaten, so one person can easily eat several pounds. The boiled crawfish and shrimp were thoroughly cooked. The fried items, including Boudin Balls (like 1 inch, rice based croquettes), hush puppies, shrimp, and catfish where all most with dry, crisp exteriors. The French fries were limp and heavy. My wife asked our server how she ate crawfish and our server cheerfully dismantled one for her, talking my wife through the process. Service was quick, cheerful, and very patient.

Went in today 4/19/23 around 420 pm. Ordered 5lbs they were at the table in 2 minutes which made me uneasy. Easy to figure out how the were at the table so fast, they had been cooked prior and stored in a warmer. They had been on the warmer to long, they were hard to peel because the shells were to soft and just tearing apart. The meat was spongy and rubbery. I called at 730 pm to speak to a manger which explained that they drop the first sack in the warmer at 4pm sharp and then serve from the warmer. They also were not purged properly so the had a gritty taste...tried to talk with the manager but she defended the policy. I have been eating there for years...want be back! LOOKS are DECEIVING!

the staff was very friendly and most of the food was good but the crawfish(their namesake) was old and the shells were soft and rubbery and the tales were just crumbling. I ve had a lot of crawfish and seafood over the years to know when we ve been given old or reused food that was not sold immediately or not made fresh and I had high hopes to support a local business. Me, my kid and some of the other people in the party got sick within 20 minutes of leaving there. I m disappointed because it was our first time there and we heard good and bad reviews. Sadly we will not be back especially for the amount of money we dropped(collectively spent close to 225 for 4 single moms and 4 kids) so that s a lot for us.

Being a native born Michigander our version of crawdads is something you see occasionally swimming around in a creek. Little kids pick one up, scream at each other and then drop it back into the water. The first time someone talked me into trying crawdads I darn near blew out my Prilosec. I wasnt into anything that spicy. We were about ready to leave for Michigan in a couple of days and a friend recommended Pooks. My wife and I went in and ordered 5 lb of crawfish and were tempted to order 5 lb more. Rather than pack the next day we came back for a second helping! My wife was about ready to swat me for suggesting we find a way of taking 50 lb of live crawfish back up with us.

Weve been to three or four crawfish places around South Texas and this is the best! The waitress took her time and explained preparation and some of the cultural aspects of crawdads, Texas style while my wife and I made a mess with 5 lb of extra large crawdads . I left trying to work out the logistics of hauling a large amount of crawdads back to Michigan....

Crawfish were great, boiled shrimp easy peel, French fries, boiled potatoes, corn on the cob although corn was not that great its those frozen in a bag so they were a bit mooshy, service was good, its a BYOB they sell soft drinks there. One suggestion limes and maybe some spicy seasoning on shrimp like the crawfish that would have made shrimp great not just good.

So this was my first time and was promptly greeted by the friendly staff, they took my order for take out and I waited. So I waited by the front door and there was the first problem, there was no bench, chairs or anything for people to wait on their food, I didnt mind so much but I imagine the elderly would appreciate that if they wanted takeout. Once I got my food I had to ask for togo plastic ware which they did not provide at first. Got home and they forgot my sons marinara sauce for his cheese sticks. The food overall was pretty average and thats what my score is really based on. The hush puppies were easily the stand out. The catfish was pretty mid, the gumbo didnt really stand out, it needed a little more spice and just flavor overall. So not the worst or the best, somewhere in the middle. Ill update when I actually try the crawfish.

Waitress told us all veggies were boiled in the seasonings and only the mushrooms were, so they were great, but none of the other were. The shrimp were a huge disappointment as they tasted like they were boiled in plain water. Why boil them in just water and make people add tons of seasoning to them, which isnt the same??

I had really high hopes for this place considering all of the reviews it has. The hostess was rude and let a group of 5 go ahead of us even though we were there 20 minutes before them and she got an attitude and said is your whole party here? I said yes 2 are in their car and she was like well they have to be here. I said how were we supposed to know you wouldn t seat us until the whole party s here right in front of you?? And she kind of smirked and said you just should have known or said something. I was already irritated at this point because of poor communication on the girls end but still tried to remain positive. Okay let s get down to the crawfish- I know it s still early in the season but boy these crawfish were small. We were told there s only 1 spice level and it literally tasted like a few pounds of salt and that was it. 0 Cajun spice, 0 heat. Then we tried a crab cluster. It was pretty bad as well. 0 flavor. Tasted fishy due to no flavor. Their seasoning that s on the table tasted like mainly salt as well. I hate that we drove 40 minutes to this place just for it to be pretty bad. Maybe it was a bad night, I don t know, but I do know I probably won t be going back any time soon.

Been coming here since last year. I have been eating crawfish since I was 5 years old. I am a crawfish crazy person. Usually I go to the drive through. Staff is really nice and provides great service. Crawfish are excellent. Obviously early and late in the season there is some size variation as expected. Also, as the season progresses they lower the prices. Great place to get your crawfish addiction satisfied.

Always good... Crawfish comes out fast and is not crazy spicy... But the flavor is good. Some outdoor seating as well. Byob

We went with family to eat an evening meal. My son ordered food for his brood and My wife ordered ours. I had fried a White fish, tasted like Catfish. It wasa thin fillet deep fried in oil, and french fries. They do not have an extensive menu. I dont eat potatoes due to my diabetes. The fillet was ok. My sons family order meals for their four children, our sweet grand children, and then ordered a ton of Boiled Crawfish. From the smiles on their faces, it must of been great. We sat outside until about 6:30 PM before being bombarded by giant Texas mosquitoes, so we made a mad dash into the Inside with a screaming 4 year old being attack by said mosquitoes. Service was good!! Good place to eat, but a very limited menu.
