Attend for my bday sep 30. Food was not good. Grill cheese sandwich was med cold, Mac and cheese cold warm, mozzarella sticks very large and very cheesey for cold before able to enjoy. Was going to get cake pc had no candles. Drinks were delicious. Will not return to this location. The wedge salad was awful and made with vinaigrette dressing.

Didnt even get a chance to order drinks. Sat down and immediatly noticed prices on web site and prices on menu are quite a bit different. Classic bait and switch. 10 minutes after being seated the waiter finally showed up to take our drink order. I asked him about the difference in online and menu prices. He said he didnt know it must be precovid prices on website. Didnt seem apologetic or offer to get a manager or anything. He just said the prices on the menu are what we will be charged. What he said next totally shocked me and made me leave with a promise to myself to never go back. He said twice It would not hurt my feeling if you left. So we left. Went to Outback and it was great 5 stars.

Food is over seasoned with inconsistent, apathetic service. Sadly, this property lacks the continuity of creating a lasting impression for patrons. On our last visit the server abruptly had a change in attitude with effort in service. We left with a huge question on what happened. I followed the link and completed the questionnaire with Landry s to give more information on our experience. There has been no response from Landrys after completing additional information. I am editing this because I see Landrys response frequently to contact them when there are complaints about their restraunts.

Food that I was able to eat was good service was good once we got our drinks. However while we were sitting there the music was increased in volume so loud that we couldnt even enjoy our meal. In this case made be box up my food to take it home......in other words my food was cold an no longer fresh. I didnt eat my steak I spent $30 on because the music was too loud.

The food at Saltgrass Steak House is always amazing; however, there were a mix up in my order. I ordered the Porterhouse & received the Salmon Oscar. The Salmon was good, but I would have preferred the Porterhouse. I requested A1 steak sauce and was told the Porterhouse was on its way. The Porterhouse never showed up and It is for this reason I gave a 3 star for service.

We ve been here a couple times now and have enjoyed our food and service. We ve had steaks, burgers, and salmon and haven t been disappointed with any of them. The service we ve had each time has been great. Our last trip, Rilee was amazing. She was very polite and answered all of our questions. Definitely the best server we ve had there yet. Our bad experience started as we were seated. Hostess took us to the wrong table and awkwardly had us stand around between full tables until we were finally told to take an empty table in another section but then we were completely forgotten about. It took over 20 minutes for a server to even acknowledge we were there. Servers seemed very unorganized, and our food took over an hour. We were given no bread, refills and our server was no where to be found, they attempted to charge us for more expensive entrees than we ordered and made it like we were just a huge inconvenience.

I recently dined at Salt Grass Steak House and had the pleasure of being served by Keefe. We have been coming to this Restaurant for several years, I can confidently say that Keefe is the best server weve ever had here. From the moment we were seated, Keefes service was exceptional. He was quick to greet us and took our orders promptly, ensuring that we never had to wait long for anything. Throughout our meal, Keefe was attentive without being intrusive, making sure we had everything we needed and refilling our drinks before we even had to ask. The steak, as always, was cooked to perfection. Salt Grass consistently delivers high-quality, flavorful cuts, and this visit was no exception. Not the best experience. We have come here a few times and the food is usually great. It was not the best overall tonight. We were told a 30 min wait to sit and it took an hour. Even though there were plenty of tables open. The server forgot the bread, not a big deal. We asked for it and received. When we got our food after about a 30 min wait it was not very good at all. Steak was overcooked and burnt on one side, sweet potato were undercooked and the fries were stale like they had been sitting out a while. Im not much of a complainer but I did tell them about the steak. 20 min later they came out with a new one. At this point we were ready to go and didnt even eat it. They boxed it up for us and we left. The server was nice and the managers were as well. But I feel like it was a $170 waste. 2 in a half hours and I didnt even eat my entrée.

Salt Grass overcharged $43 on the bill. I pointed this out to Nate the manager who then miscalculated prices a 2nd time. He wouldnt show me the itemized bill only the repciet with the totals. Saying that he had only overcharged $10. None of the staff including both managers, the hostess, server, & bartender were able to awnser to the one question I asked about the cocktails. The unethical billing practices, incompetence, & lack of knowledge of the menu was blatantly dissapointing. Also, the cutlets were dry, overcooked, chewy, & unsavory. I have been a loyal Salt Grass customer for 20 years, This used to be my favorite restaurant until today. I am sad to see the drastic deterioration of ethics, customer service, & food quality. They have lost 2 lifelong customers due to this unappatizing decline in standards & ethics.

I like to take the time to leave reviews, but I know that restaurants can be tricky because people have different preferences for food tastes, so I will leave that out. The staff was polite, we had a reservation and was seated immediately, but there was seating for anyone who may of had to wait. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it was cooked to medium rare! Loaded baked potato was served correctly and the toppings werent spilling out, great job. I could have guessed they were possibly short staffed or had some computer issue, but the staff seemed to work together to overcome it! Bathroom could have used some minor attention, but we all know that could have happened 5 minutes earlier from the last customer, I dont blame the staff. If in the area, I will be happy to go back!

The San Marcos Saltgrass really went downhill moving from the river to the feeder. Ordered surf n turf and they jacked up both of them. Fyi, as of this posting, SGs 22oz. porterhouse is $41.49. I have been frequenting Saltgrass for many, many years all over Texas and have always thought it is the best steakhouse for the money. Although, in the last 6 months, the one in Bee Cave/near Lakeway has gone downhill. It used to be great, but I just dont know what might have happened (I hope they resolve it soon so we cab start going back again)!? It wasn t the best experience. First time there. As I was asking if I can replace the salad for an additional side I was told they don t do that there. Which is fine, but I was cut off in the middle of my sentence and was going to ask to add on/pay more for an extra side. Was rudely interrupted mid sentence and then on top of it they ended up not bringing out my salad at all. The NY strip was below average. The entire piece of meat was fatty and unseasoned. Parts of it were uncuttable and unable to even chew. Had to spit several pieces into a napkin. Mac & Cheese unfortunately wasn t that well either. Can t judge the salad because I didn t get mine. The food is chain restaurant food. So a 4 star is generous. My wife and I go here because it is close to my sons school, the rewards are not bad, and most of all the service is excellent.

Food and service was subpar from the waiter to the lady that brought out the food to the manager, could tell no one really cared had a prison fell to the whole place. This place is begging for improvements top to bottom! Not the saltgrass experience I remember. Probably won t be back. Plenty of other places to try.

2 adults looking for place to eat on Thanksgiving. We were surprised they were open but was happy to find it. 1 had the turkey dinner & 1 had 6 oz steak. Turkey was good but all the sides not so much. Steak not cooked as asked but had good flavor. They ran out of mashed & baked potatoes so replaced with green beans & asparagus both were soft, chewey & cold. Cost was $110.00 not worth it for 2 adults. Waitress was very nice but never came asked to refill drinks, etc. Lesson dont go out to eat on Thanksgiving.

The whole experience was great! The steaks of course were amazing! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The service was exceptional. Our server, Jose, was very attentive and friendly! We didnt have to wait for anything we needed. We will definitely be back!

I always prefer Saltgrass and have dined at many. This particular one is the worst I have seen. Food was overcooked, service was poor etc. I recommend Saltgrass, but not this one.

We stopped here on our drive from the Austin airport to San Antonio for a quick lunch. My wife had the queso fresco and I had the Chicken Fried Chicken. The food was good especially the chicken. Our drinks (Titos Texas Tea and Rosa Paloma) were both really tasty. Our server was the bartender, and he was great. It was quiet when we were there, but easy to imagine it being pretty packed . I would say if you want food that tastes good, but does not push a lot of boundaries, it is worth a stop.

Food was excellent, Pats ribeye is the best steak cut they have, smoked Mac was yummy as were the fried mushrooms, but the best part was our server Jose , he took really good care of us and kept up with our requests in a timely manner, his attitude was awesome

Dont waste your time. Clearly they need more help. No bar backs to help the 2 young servers on a Saturday night handle stocking & cleaning. They were doing it all. 30 min at bar to place order, 40 minutes to get 2 tacos & an appetizer.

I like Saltgrass. Audrey as our waitress was great. Fantastic service. My steak was cooked just right. My wifes salmon was initially undercooked but was great after sent back to kitchen. I also used my Landrys Select Club credit for meal. Drinks from bar were great also. Definitely will return. I returned. Two great meals with great service. Whoever trains the wait staff should be commended. Dont see great serve like this at other places.

My wife and I both had the Chicken Breast Laredo. I had the Cesar salad and brussel sprouts and my had a salad and the sweet potato fries. Both salads were good and fresh and get fours stars as well as the brussel sprouts. The sweet potato fries has zero seasoning which is too bad because it is so easy to make good fries. The chicken was cooked just right but also had no real flavor. For 21.49 they really need to step of the game on the main part of the entree. Thicker meats are a challenge to get flavorful without marinating them. For the price I definitely expect flavorful chicken.

The service here is exemplary. Our waiter came by 8 times and the manager came by twice to clear plates and check on us. We never had to ask for anything. Our party had the Maudeens Filet, Gulf Coast Steak and Shrimp and the Chicken Laredo. We all left with empty plates. The food was excellent. Definitely going back...Soon!
