In our search for flowing water we came across River Ridge Park. This section of the park looked to be abandoned for so long that a big patch of nopales has been growing on what looked to be a seating section of the park. Many Tunas have ripen and fallen off the nopales on their own. We picked the ones that were still on the nopales to taste them later. The wood on the benches looks really old. One bench has had the wood work removed for some reason. A beautiful round ledge made of stone is constructed almost forming a whole circle. The floor is also made of this beautiful bed rock stone. Blanco River flows behind us deep down about a 50 foot drop to its creek. This part of the park must have had many people visit it. So many memories were made here in all its splendor at one time. Who knows what stories this little place holds but I just love admiring it in my own way. Beautiful still to see nature continue its never ending course of timeless beauty no matter what...
