Ive been going to Manas since the 80s. My favorite Tex-Mex. Not a fan of the flour tortillas though. SORRY! Favorite dishes are cheese enchilada dinner, Juarez dinner/combination and queso and chips. They have great fresh tomatoes. They actually taste like a tomato is supposed to taste. Good guacamole. Excellent priced lunch special. Especially these days. One downside is theyre only open Thursday-Sunday and not very late. Service was a little lacking last visit and occasionally throughout the many years but the vast majority of times has been very good.

this was the best mexican food i ve had in a while! the queso and enchiladas were amazing. everything was very affordable, we got two entrees, a side of queso and soft drink and it was $30. the service was great and the owner seemed so so nice! we will definitely be back :) OH it s also byob which is even better!

Manas is the quintessential hole-in-the-wall Tex Mex restaurant. First impressions give off borderline sketchy, but this place is as authentic as it gets and actually very charming. The food is traditional Tex Mex, the portions are great and the prices are reasonable. Service is attentive, and with a local charm. I usually get the Juarez Combo, but Ive never had a bad meal here.

Excellent home cooking with handmade tortillas, chicken tortilla soup with fresh ingredients, overall an excellent choice. It s a small place, very casual and with friendly staff. Know that they don t serve alcohol, so no margaritas, but it s dry January, so not a bad thing!

The chips and salsa were perfect! I had the San Marcos carnitas which was delicious! My carnitas came with fresh corn and flour tortillas. My mom was with me and had the menudo with a barbacoa taco, which she enjoyed and she never likes anything she eats and is very picky because she is a cook herself. It took a little longer but worth the wait!

First time here, server asked us twice if we were ready to order without handing out the menu at all we asked for corn tortillas, it was forgotten to give it with the plate, and when it was given..they were flour asked for a spoon never got it Didn t like their food at all, rice, or chicken (too dry). Only thing I liked about the restaurant was the pictures/decorations inside. This was probably the worst restaurant I ve ever been in (based on food)

Ok so this is a very strange little spot. Its situated right inside a neighborhood and the building just looks like someones house but its a full restaurant inside. Just follow Googles instructions and youll find the place. This is one of those odd, out of the way places that we have found that has some of the best food you can find. Their enchilada sauce is FANTASTIC. All of the food was great and the service was good. I could tell it was a family run place because there were little kids running around the place, playing and going in the back. It was adorable. Just dont expect fine dining here. This place is about the FOOD. It tasted just like what Id expect to come out of someones abolitas kitchen. You want to eat Mexican like someone grandma cooked it for you, you come here. Goes right to your soul. Since we moved to Texas from Tucson, AZ, we have eaten at multiple Mexican restaurants and this one by far has the best food!

Delicious Mexican food nestled in the barrio. We didnt make it in till close to closing, but no problem with being served. It is very much a mexican locals place ... they do speak English also. Alcohol is byob. We judge by salsa and it passed the test. Spicy and not too chunky. Traci had chicken enchiladas with green salsa. David had a combo plate. All food absolutely delicious. Restaurant was spotless. Paid $40 for dinner.

First: our server went above and beyond. He brought me a special green salsa to try with the meal. The starter chips were amazing!!! As was the salsa that was served with them. The server brought enough chips for our large party of 6. I was served great tasting coffee from a fresh pot. They served us large sized portions, all dishes were very tasty. This establishment is well known with the locals. Now, the non locals need to make their way here too!

Don t be fooled by the drive through a small neighborhood, this gem is a place for a home cooked Mexican meal. We felt like family here and where treated very hospitable. The place is rustic, very clean, the restrooms could use some updates but clean ! . The outdoor seating is a nice option. When In town we will definitely visit again.

Good food, great prices, good service. There was only one older gentleman working the register and waiting tables and although the restaurant was busy he was taking care of it all.
