Really good food that you regret after eating because of how unhealthy it is. I typically get the #2 7 Piece with mashed potatoes then use that as a dipping sauce for the tenders and biscuit. Vegetarian options: None for the main dishes.

Ordered liver and gizzards and some okra. Did not get the okra, they burned the livers, and the gizzards were undercooked. I dont know whos in charge of this location but they are sending out some bad chicken which can also get people very sick. I would check your food if I was you before you leave

The hours listed on the Internet say they are open until 10::00 p.m. As we got out of our vehicle, a girl came out from behind the drive thru and yelled out, Were closed, and rattled off their hours. I told her they needed to update the Internet then. Funny thing too is where their hours should be posted on their door, theyre not. Dont waste your time or money here. We went to Golden Chick in Kyle. 1,000 times better food too. This Chicken Express has gone downhill fast. Double thumbs down!!

Unbelievably slow. Over 30 minutes for one fish filet. As a restaurant owner I know how long it takes to batter/ fry this meal. Not to mention it was slow. Absolutely insane. Need a new manager/ gm pronto. Unacceptable.

Restored faith in America. Went through the drive through and ordered a good ol number 1 which includes 4 tenders a biscuit or a roll and a side. When I received my food I had 7 Tenders! A soft and buttery biscuit made from angels. As well as crispy and soft french fries that were well seasoned. I also got honey packets and Spicy serendipity seasoning to put on the chicken. Overall a meal made in heaven filled both me and my S/O up for 11$ Very happy will return for more chicken goodness.

Best spicy chicken tenders and darn good chicken and mashed potatoes everything was hot good to the taste and fast and courteous service great job chicken express!! Parking: Close up parking lots of places to park and didnt have any problems getting out when it came time to leave the restaurant Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access in and out of the restaurant one of the employees even held the door open for my wife whom has to use a wheelchair, tables are very easy for a person to sit and eat if they are in a wheelchair and again they even brought our food to our table

6-7 tenders, fries, gravy, roll, and beverage is $16 - which is crazy imo! But for tenders they are top two restaurants in town for fried chicken. I love the yeast rolls, fries are good too although can be cold as they tend to leave them out too long. Beyond being pricey, it could use a bit more attention to cleanliness as there are always flies near the beverage machine

The line was long. The wait time was longer. Time to order and out of this side, out of that side and only had 3 sides to choose from. Then you get your receipt, only b/c I asked for it. Went in the drive thru at 7:50 to place an order. The 8 piece would fill the bill. I asked for 4 breast and 4 thighs. The guy said he didnt have enough breast. Ok if its 8:40 I might understand he doesnt want to make more but it wasnt even 8. So instead of filling the customers order it was easier to say dont have it. Then when he brought it to the window he didnt say anything. Learn what customer service is and how important it is to keeping a job I n the service industry.

Matt Makes Amazing Chicken. I rarely review fast food places because Im mostly about promoting local places and Chicken Express is usually only okay chicken (read the gravy saves the bland, dry strips I usually get). BUT- I swear I had the best fried chicken of my life today. It was so good, I called to find out who was cooking. If the owner/manager sees this, you need to give Matt all your money and all the raises. He does a phenomenal job that makes me want to forget about heart healthy and just eat yalls chicken. Its tender, perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned and everything you want. So thank you Matt- you should consider opening your own restaurant if the rest of your cooking is as good.

Raising Cain is much better. KFC is better. Popeyes is better. McNuggets are better. Tyson nuggets you bake in the oven are better. Have you ever gotten Aramark cafeteria food, like in a hospital? This was like that, or like gas station food. Questionable parts of chicken, with lousy breading, soaked in oil, tough and chewy without much flavor. Sawmill gravy? Im willing to try it, but all it did was add moisture to the chicken, without adding any appreciable flavor. And the honey-wrong-butter roll? Even the tea was basically brown water.

Today 1 star. Normally, chicken is quite good but today it was so extremely salty that an 8 piece box is going into the garbage. I thought maybe a mistake had been made but then read some reviews and saw that it happens at San Marcos location. I would think recipe would always be the same but maybe if chicken is left marinating too long it could absorb too much salty marinade. Ick. I dont get fried chicken often so this was very disappointing and a waste of $17! At least ate a couple of rolls with gravy.

Chicken Express is a great chicken restaurant, and surely in the top 3 fried chicken restaurants. However, this location is a disparagement to that quality. Rude window workers must be trained on working under pressure as the girl was stressed out with minor traffic. The chicken was decent, but not fresh. Biscuit was hard, and dry. Cheese sticks tasted like chicken greese which means the oil is not routinely changed. All of this leads to an obvious lack of quality control. New Braunfels, Seguin, and lockhart are the best. Sorry to say this is the worst one Ive seen so far.

I dont ever write reviews but I think this is important. All of the employees here were NOT wearing a mask. Masks are still state mandated until March 10 for the state of Texas. When I asked the cashier about the masks she shrugged. I just got done dropping off my grandma at her house with my grandpas ashes because he died due to covid. It makes me now think that fast food places are the reason he came in contact with the virus. He didnt go anywhere but to get food. I think its disgusting how the employee just shrugged and didnt care. All of the costumers can see the employees make the food WITHOUT the mask. This place always get my order wrong. How do you get corn out of 5 Tuesday Specials. Got home to 2 legs and 3 corn on the cob 3 jalapeños. The special has no corn what so ever in it. Instead of laughing and playing around get the orders right.

Brianna and Kaitlyn are the rudest employees I ever spoke with, instead of them fixing our combos they got all rude with us!!! Gave us ugly attitude, rolled their eyes at us and just lack of customer service
