What better way to celebrate my birthday at our FAVORITE & AMAZING FOOD PLUCKERS!! Food was awesome as usual, we had great service and a fun time with the atmosphere! Parking: We always get there early so we always find parking but there are times when we get there late so we do have a choice of parking behind Pluckers in a fenced area which is for Pluckers customers. Its such a popular place where sometimes you find no parking cause its so packed.

Love getting pluckers but service at this location for night crew up front is horrible. Always place order for pick up ahead of time, and show up 20-30 minutes after Estimated pick up time to avoid the wait. Never fails to still end up having to wait for order and girls up front Clearly see that were waiting and take their time even asking if we need help just walking past over and over, seems to be to much trouble to just check if order is ready. Have not had much issues during the day, but girls up front 8-11pm need better customer service, giving this location a bad reputation as I just seen from other reviews as well..

Pluckers San Marcos is a legit place to enjoy food and some sports (on TV). This particular location has some crazy parking, but its worth the trouble. Bring a jacket if youre cold natured, as they keep this location pretty cool. If youre looking for a flavor that is warm but wont burn your taste buds off, go for Bakers Gold. Its good stuff. Like a few of the other reviews, I was told a certain time to come for pick up and still had to wait 20 minutes after arriving for the food to be ready. On top of that I ordered extra wet wings. The wings in the photo not even regular wet, they extra dry but they still charged me for it. Extra 20 minute wait, charged an extra dollar for extra dry wings. I don t even leave reviews but this gotta be fixed. Had to update my review because I began to eat the wings and they are even drier than they look, kinda hard to believe.

Came for lunch & left without eating. Our waitress forgot our drinks, then brought out the wrong flavored wings (i dont like spicy & always order honey bbq) so i waited over 20 min for her to come back to tell her the flavor was wrong - she never came - so i tried waiving down the manager for her to make eye contact & look at me to then turn around & ignore me trying to get her attention. Finally got her attention she went & had them remade (never came back to check if it was right or anything) and our new waitress let us know the old one didnt let her know so we were just forgotten about. Tried my new wings before leaving & sure enough wrong again the 2nd time. I let the new waitress know and asked if maybe i wasnt aware of the honey bbq flavor changing to her just saying they changed the breading recipe of the chicken & made it spicier? But shes also only been working there since january so she doesnt really know. Left with out eating, and gave my wings away to one of the people i came with. They took my wings off the receipt but left still paying $40 for the 3 of us & i didnt even have anything but a sweet tea. frustrating.

!!!! Worst experience ever !!! !!! THIS WAS A BD DINNER !!! - it was a busy day and we were fine waiting the long wait time of 1 hour. During our wait our party wanted to get drinks and just hang out. A bartender (female) completely ignores our request for water and then decides she is not service any of our party their drink orders just because she said they were too drunk. Which is completely not true !!!! After being seated you can hear her and a couple other bartenders talking about the situation out loud and made it a bad experience already! The manager came out 20min after we ordered to tell us they were out of what we wanted. She let us know we could order something else, and she would get it out quickly. It took 20 more minutes. She did comp the food for us, but it took too long, and the grilled chicken breasts were very small. The drink was okay. They dont have subtitles on the TV, which is kind of annoying when youre watching a sport and you dont know whats going on.

Went to have dinner since this our favorite wing place when the server comes to us very unwelcoming ( tall with curly brown hair ) takes our order and comes back with the wrong order and I politely let her know that we didn t order that and in the middle of my next sentence leaves comes back and says they will not remake it but it will be taken off the bill which she then pretty much slams the plate on the table and walks off with out us getting a word in i then ask another server we were still waiting on another order of fries and she was super sweet and brought it right to us and we were then splitting up our food since one person in my group wasn t going to be able to eat because the server refused to remake the food when we heard our server talking very poorly about me and my group which was just horrible, i my self am a restaurant manager and I would never allow someone like that on my team but I guess some places don t prioritize service

I come here every Friday for teacher appreciation. I absolutely love pluckers. However yesterday the meal that I got gave me food poisoning!!!! I know it was pluckers because I save my appetite all day in order for me to enjoy my favorite wing place. I didn t even finish all the wings. They asked me if I had a reciept. I told them no but I checked in on the app and I have my bank statement proving I ate there. I suppose they thought I was looking for a free meal which was not the case. I spoke to a manager and she told me that they could not issue a refund because I could not prove it was them. I was super disappointed cause I have never had a problem with them in the past. However, I do not think I can go back to this location and it sucks because I absolutely love it. They brushed off my sickness and wrote it off as not their fault when I ve been up all night in pain. Do better please.

Where are the plastic bags filled with water? This remedy has been known for millennia. And what else is this, a museum of plastic birds? So many fake owls they could open their own zoo! Useless! Ordered online at 4:30pm and said order would be ready by 4:50. I arrive around then and was given the wrong order at first so had to go back to get mine. Then, I was told my order was not ready and that they were out of an item I ordered. I substituted that item and had to wait another 20-30 minutes but was quoted 8-12. Crazy. In total, I m sitting there for almost 45-50 minutes just for my lunch. Don t order for pick up unless up want to wait longer than promise AND your food comes out cold AND you have to deal with attitude from the to go side. I was patient but the girl behind Togos was very rude. Never had an issue dining in, however, seems like the to go people don t really care if you get your order correct or at all. I spent almost $30 on my order, just to receive it soggy, cold, and the service/wait made me lose my appetite.

Placed a pick up order. Arrived in the time frame provided by the employee over the phone. After waiting a few minutes, we decided to order a drink at the bar to pass the time. Despite another couple at the bar ordering their drinks a minute prior, we were told it was closed and were not allowed to order drinks. We ve come in a few times and the service and food have both been mediocre. This time Jose took care of us and was the best server we ve had here despite being double sat with a large party. The food still needs work although it was better tonight than most nights. Wing size and sauce levels are much smaller than I remember from other locations. how do you forget the sauce $20 for no sauce? And for the half you did put sauce on, you missed. Nah. UPDATE: there was a long curly black hair in my food and that was definitely not mine. I had to pull the hair out of my mouth because it was wrapped up in the fry They gave me a full refund and were very kind. Thank you.

Parking: When the small front parking is full you have to park in a gated empty business 1/2 dirt 1/2 gravel lot. For the money made at this location you would figure they could afford to buy out the lot or at least pave it.

Recently this Pluckers service has not been up to standards. As soon as we were seated, we ordered our appetizers and food all at the same time. As others came and got seated we began to notice them receiving their appetizers before we have even though we had ordered much before them. I pushed this off since I understand it was busy but after the tables next to us were all being addressed by our server and she continuously seemed to avoid us, It seemed like a bigger issue. When we had been able to call her over she had seemed confused that our food was not there yet, although we made eye contact several times before. She seemed confused that someone else was not doing her job and when we would ask her for something she seemed to be physically annoyed. It was very unprofessional for her to soon after be talking with another server right next to our table complaining about a $2 tip and talking bad of the customers. Once we had gotten our food we still had not received one of our appetizers so we decided to just cancel that order. Later on the night we split the check and my friends bill was $9, we assumed she felt bad and took an order off since it was so cheap. Only for her to come back and say the card didn t go through and now the order was $40, although my friends $9 did go through on her card. When we finally were able to get her to come to our table again and asked for the receipt she only gave us 3 when we had now had 4 transactions. the $9 was not on any of these. It may have been little things adding up but the service we had was horrible. She seemed confused that someone else was not doing her job and then would complain about customers in front of others. I had ordered a togo order and waited 30 minutes until she figured we were staring at her for a reason and she was confused why I didn t had them yet. I m not sure if it s a change of management that s happened lately. But this establishment has been declining. I do not recommend Ashley B. as your server.

I have zero desire to ever come back. I would not recommend to my friends or family. For going at an off time the food was slow coming out and the server couldnt process our lunch order because the button went away! We ordered a 2nd beer to help with our patience but that beer took 20 minutes to come out...No paper towels in the mens restroom (according to my son) and the ladies restrooms were filthy. The manager did give a discount for the lunch situation but overall I was disappointed. We all were.

I normally never leave reviews because I also work in the service industry but today I experienced the worst service I have in a hot minute. Our server, Ashley B, seemed to be having an off day which is totally understandable but our food came out terribly late and it seemed like tables next to us were being prioritized over us. I understand that the wait times are not a servers fault but our waiter was also far from attentive and friendly. The server was also visibly complaining to other co workers about the tips they were making which is beyond unprofessional, especially in the sense that tips are earned and not guaranteed.

The service is always mid, including the hosts, their takeouts are always 30-40 minutes late, the managers are GARBAGE. Cant hate on Pluckers wings and spicy tenders though. Can you really complain about beer though? I can complain about cocktails though. Loud, annoying people and always a million people in the waiting area. Screw this place. Id rather go to wingstop for mid wings with mid service, at least theyre consistent.

Pluckers is a no frills type spot, I wanted wings. I got wings. I tried the Dr. Pepper and spicy BBQ sauce. Wings were honestly very good, service was good. Drinks were served cold. Only terrible thing about this location is that parking is scarce.

We have been coming here for years and we continue to come because the food is great. We love pluckers. But for a while now, since the remodel of the additional seating space was added it seems service has gone down. Wait times during non peak hours has increased. Most of the times we come is during non peak hours, we tend to get here at 3:30 or 4pm and there s always a 15-20 minute wait. Our food tends to take 30-45 minutes to come out and we end up being here longer than expected. Honestly it s as if there s no sense of urgency anymore. Including from some male management that is observed just conversing with staff about what they did the day before and what they re doing the night of. We will continue to go to other locations but San Marcos has seriously become worse.

Hostesses werent very kind when seating a bigger party and didnt seem to really know what was going on. They kept changing the wait times for over an hour and it was ridiculous. Especially since we called in prior to have a reserved spot. Dietary restrictions: We looked for vegan and vegetarian options and they were able to accommodate. Ive had equally as good wings but never better. What makes Pluckers so damn good is their consistency with the food and service. In the years visiting various Pluckers up between Austin and San Antonio, their service has always been good. Sure theres always a wait, and sometimes a pretty long wait, but what you expect when everyone wants damn good wings, homes? The San Marvelous Pluckers was my gateway to Pluckers back in 2009 or 10. Was driving back to SA from ATX and my sister, Chiqi B. (RIP), had always suggested Pluckers, so my 7-year old and I decided to stop. Up until SA got its own Pluckers, we were making the trek from SA to Sar Martian to indulge in their wangs and thangs. Its an institution at this point and the original location needs one of those Texas Historical markers.

I love pluckers. At least in Austin. This place is slacking. Order extra wet they just put a pile of sauce on top of like 1 or 2 wings. Don t expect to get your salad before your food. They haven t gotten that right ever. Crispy wings aren t crispy. If you re in San Marcos just go to Wing Stop. It s better here. I m a pluckers member. This place sucks.
