This has been a family favorite tor 15 years or more. The owners are ever present and they are all ways doing little things to give you just a bit more. They just added a Togo window next to the front that is very convenient. They changed up the decorations recently and added a few new menu items. I do not believe you will be disappointed having dinner or lunch there.

With so many Mexican options in the area, I was hesitant to give this place a go, but once I walked in, I knew it was going to deliver. The complimentary chips and salsa started us off on the right foot. I ordered the Los Molcajetes Especial with beef, and it was solid. The beef and shrimp are good, and I thought the quail was unique. The only thing I wouldve liked to have with it was sour cream, but its incredibly filling and well prepared. Id order something different on my next visit. The fried ice cream is fantastic, and Id highly recommend you give it a try. It can safely be shared by 2-3 people, or consumed alone. The service is top notch. Our waitress was fast and didnt forget a single request, which I was amazed by considering we were a group of nine. We were seated quickly, and everyone we interacted with was friendly. I also loved the atmosphere. It really delivers the full package.

This might be the worst Mexican food I ve had. The food is so bland. We had brisket tacos, beef fajitas, and queso. The salsa is tomato sauce with cilantro thrown into it. Their idea of guacamole is mashed avocado. The beef fajitas were way over cooked, almost burnt. I have no clue how this place has such popularity and so many good reviews. Our service was good but everything else was a disappointment. There are so many better Mexican/tex-mex restaurants in town.

First takeout order of fajitas was fantastic. A week later the fajitas were not cooked properly, the vegetables were soggy as if they had been sitting in a vat. Neither the fajitas or the meat was fresh cooked, or seared. Extremely disappointed. I sent them my complaint but never heard back.

I am not proud to say this, but I have had literally hundreds of top shelf margaritas in my lifetime and the one I ordered from them yesterday was by far the worst. I saw the bartender making it and he used cheap tequila. I went ahead and drank it because I did not want to cause any problems, but I did want to add a review so that other people will know. I will add that it is my fault for not telling the waitress that it should be Patron or Don Julio but then again I didn t think I would have to.

I ve driven by this place many times and it popped into my head when I was yearning for one of my favorite types of breakfast - Mexican. The atmosphere and decor are quite nice and they have a very open floor plan. We were immediately treated to chips and salsa, and I have to say the chips were quite good and a nice thickness, etc. The salsa was tasty yet not overpowering. We went with Huevos a la Mexicana and the Mexican Omelette. Both came with skillet potatoes and refried beans. Both sides were very good. The potatoes had a very solid consistency with some crispness on the outside and soft inside. Salsa over an omelette is hard to beat as well as peppers mixed with scrambles. Both hit the mark. This experience was very pleasant and I am very glad I came in. I also have heard that this is a family owned restaurant and they actively support a number of schools in the area and are very generous. Go support these guys!

We came here and ate dinner, fast and easy check-in process, and was seated within 40mins. Waiter was very friendly and attentive, and we had our drinks out within 5 mins of being seated. I ordered a mangonada margarita on the rocks, It was very tasty. Food was out and hot within 20 mins! It was very flavorful and rice and beans on point. I only wish queso would have been brought out too with the salsa/chips. Overall, everything was amazing Will definitely be back soon!

I only been to the one off western center in fort worth texas so I cannot comment on anything else. I tried their menudo and enchiladas rice and beans. Those tastes the same anywhere else. The 1 and only thing that separates them from anyone else is their steak fajitas. Super tender super clean tasting. No barnyard taste to them at all compared to other similar restaurants. Their steak fajitas is the only reason I go and you get good portions as well. My advice is get the 1 for 2 people cause if you get the 1 for yourself its just too much to eat. yep steak fajitas is still 5 star. my friend and i get the 1 serving for 2 people and he still has to take the rest home which is still enough for another person and half. oh yes almost forgot, the chips and salsa are very good and that might be the reason why we keep having left overs. everything else seems comparable to other places, but that is just my opinion. edit: aug 2024. my cousin was in town from az and took him here. a very critical eater for context. i got barria tacos i got steak fajitas for 1 because i know they always give a lot so i would share. he gave the steak fajitas a 9.5 while he gave the barria tacos a 7 at best. a couple of months before another friend and i tried out a fancier tex/mex place and their steak fajitas were not as good as these.

This was the most mediocre Tex Mex food. Tex Mex food can be good, but salsa shouldnt taste like tomato sauce, ranchero beans shouldnt be seasoned with pepper, fajitas should have fajita seasoning. You might as well go to Rosas Cafe for similar quality food and pay half the price. The tables were also too close to each other also, and the womens restroom stall space is way too confined. If youre a tall person, you probably wont be able to close the door when you sit, so good luck with that.

It was our first time here and the truth is the food is super delicious and they serve you a lot of food. So.. I cant believe I had never heard of this place. Someone has done them a disservice. This place is amazing. Honestly, you might feel a bit of a could shoulder but overall the staff is friendly. Like cant say anything bad about the margaritas. They WILL sneak up on you. Phenomenal strawberry, mango, and watermelon flavors. The watermelon one reminds me of a watermelon jolly rancher. Its impressive how fast the food is! Like I dont think any restaurant can top them. Youll love the spicy salsa - but be warned it packs a punch. Have water on hand. The portion size is good for the price. Food just tastes great. Ive never seen a more colorful plate being presented to me. So authentic for the tortillas - better than Rosas. Overall quality and portions of the plates are of great value compared to the prices. The lunch prices are an excellent deal with dinner size portions that last until 3pm. The service is typically above average but last time the waitress appeared over worked with forgetfulness and delayed times checking in with us. Overall the one mediocre experience has not deterred me from returning. By far one of the most authentic Mexican dinners around. The fajitas are amazing along with the fresh tortilla, spicy hot salsa, and large margaritas for only $8.00. I would recommend to anyone to try at least once while in the area.

The food taste great, its one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Ive had multiple instances at this restaurant where I pay with a card and leave a cash tip(over 20%) and then the server fraudulently adds a tip to my card. Ive called and they verified they can see the fraudent entry on the bill and they say oh it must have been a misunderstanding. Its not, its just theft. Take a photo of your signed receipt when you eat here so you have proof.

The only negative about this place is their margaritas are very weak and uninspired. They offer nothing creative in terms of mixology, its youre standard pre-mix sweet and sour mix Margarita. If you order two or get the happy hour buy one get one free, the first one is quite good, but the second one has little to no tequila in it. So never waste your money on more than 1 margaritas here. Their Margaritas also taste like they skimp on the orange liquor or leave it out altogether.

The food was excellent, but the server really didnt pay attention to us. We sat for a while, ready for our order to be taken. While he was just standing around. My potatoes were hard and burnt and they don t offer tortillas with your meal that s like not giving any utensils to eat my food with - we Hispanics use the tortilla as our spoon!

LOVED this place and it will now be my go to place for Mexican cuisine. The food was amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious (shrimp & beef fajitas, bacon and mushroom quesadilla, and shrimp tacos). We could not stop eating the warm chips and salsa. Great service and a fun family friendly atmosphere. I definitely recommend!

Our friends are in town and wanted to have Tex-Mex. We knew just the place. We got here early hoping we would have a table ready when they arrived. Im still standing waiting. They wont seat us until the entire party is present. There are currently table ipen. We tried being a good host to our friends. We would be ordering drinks already but nope Wont try this again here. I would leave and go somewhere else I made this post while waiting in the lobby.

A very delicious Mexican dinner with good margaritas. Pretty unassuming place, but the food was fast and the small salsa was on point especially mixed with the queso. I recommend the shrimp and beef fajitas. The shrimp was cooked perfect and the beef had good flavor.

The food is amazing. Everything has really good taste. I ve been here many many times one of my favorite spots. Customer service is pretty good but they do get really busy and it s pretty hard for them to give you full blown attention but overall, it s a really good place. Hands down the worst Mexican food I ve had in quite some time. We waited about 30 minutes before getting our table. The chips are the only good thing about this place. My wife ordered the carnitas which are steamed. I ve never heard of steamed carnitas. They re supposed to be cooked in lard until crispy and tender. I had the pollo en mole. The WORST mole I ve ever tasted. The chicken was grilled so it had a smoky flavor, but the mole sauce looked and tasted like BBQ sauce. I ve been to Oaxaca Mexico where they have several types of mole. The rice is bland and the refried beans taste like they came out of a can. The waiter only came to our table once after our plates arrived and we never had our water glasses refilled. I do not recommend this place.
