I used to love this place until I witnessed a girl getting manhandled by two male workers to get her out. John and his coworker (who might be new) did not handle the situation well & couldve done it differently without trying to snatch the girls belongings out of her hand & getting physical with her. Why would 2 grown men need to manhandle a small girl? I went to check up on the girl after and she had a nasty knot on her arm from how hard they grabbed her. Definitely will not be returning here if I see them working there! This is not a place I would feel safe being at as a woman

Cool lil bar with a good atmosphere. Service is quick, never have I had to wait a long time to get a drink. Rachel in particular always seems to bring top notch customer service when serving me! Would recommend lookin for her for sure.

Fav bar at the square! The overall ambiance is welcoming and fun! Their bartender rachel is amazing! Her recommendations are spot-on, and Ive discovered some delicious concoctions that have now become my go-to choices. bar manager i think angel was immediately rude wouldn t make eye contact. was snapchatting the whole we sat down. kept chewing gum and was super unprofessional. she then would barely serve us bc said the drinks we ordered were disgusting and was fighting w us about the taste on sweetness and then threw us out because she didn t agree on our drink preferences.

I go to this place every Friday afternoon to drink several Pacifico beer and this place does sell a lot of this beer, the only problem is that the working crew does not refill the fridge with this beer and In a couple of hours they just say theyre out when in fact the stockroom is filled with cases of this beer. Bartenders and this crew need to understand that we the costumers are paying their salary but they behave like they just dont care how they get paid, if this keeps going this place its just gonna keep losing costumers and business

After being turned away at Mayloys or whatever its called for having hand and neck tattoos ( we both are tattooers) we decided to goto Freddy Cs and this was on a Sunday night ( day after Christmas) so it wasnt really busy but we had great service and all the bar staff was top notch . It reminded me of the San Marcos I remembered growing up and living there in 2006 . Great experience overall and the ladies behind the bar were top notch made us feel completely welcome and turned the mood around for sure. Made me really miss the town I used to call home. Cheers.

terrible service. the bartender angel was very rude and disrespectful cussing at customers in the bar for no reason she definitely doesn t need to be employed there. this is not a good place to drink, they need new bartenders and management, they never pick up the phone when anyone calls so there s no choice but to leave a review.

Terrible service and very rude bartenders. Due to this I did not leave a tip and was then verbally and PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED BY A BARTENDER for not leaving a tip. She threw my glass full of ice on my face as I was walking out the door. According to another bartender and the bouncer, she is the manager. A complaint has been filed with TABC for assault by an employee. Do not expect to be treated as anything other than a drunk college kid if you go into this bar, no matter who you are. They do not have any idea about customer service or respect. The owners may be interested in addressing this abusive bartender and terrible staff, or maybe they dont care. The bouncer/door man had the personality of rock as well. After having ice thrown on my face and being denied a talk with the manager I was asked to leave the bar by this bouncer/doorman. Go figure.

The view of the Hays County historic Courthouse from the outdoor seating area is amazing. Plus, the bartenders are friendly, the drinks are stiff, and its super easy to have a great time here. Stonewall is right upstairs as well. All in all, I feel this is one of the best places to start your evening before bar hopping.
