They are seriously overcharging for their liquor. They charge the same amount for a shot of tequila that I pay for a top shelf margarita in downtown Austin.

Really disappointed with our experience forThe fryer was down, so we ordered grilled chicken sandwiches and Mac and cheese to substitute for fries. Not only were the prices on the menu inaccurate, we were upcharged for the Mac and cheese, and the grilled chicken was overcooked and barely filled up half the bun. Save your money and eat elsewhere. Server was kind and did bring us a bowl of water for our dogs, so that was greatly appreciated!

Our server was constantly disappearing, we sat with food in front of us for several minutes waiting for utensils, the food was bland. Our drinks sat empty for at least 30 minutes before our server was found. When we finally got our check it had not only our orders on it but the table across the restaurant as well. Once again, had to find the server to get it fixed. It is a cool place though, nice atmosphere, outdoor recreation area, just wish the service and food matched the rest of the place.

Went here because of reviews looked like a fun place to take the family right off the square. The reviews said family friendly but definitely not the case. I get it but let us know up front vs blaring music that you would not want young kids to hear. We were only ones there. I think the purposely made the food horrible to not attract us to come back. Like I said I understand but just say it is only 21 and up like most other places.

Horrible service. Horrible food. We waited for over an hour for our food and it came out wrong after specifically asking for a substitution. Couldn t remake it because of how long we had been waiting. We asked to have the item taken off our check and the manager refused to citing that two bites had been taken out of the item. They ended up asking for us to pay for 50% of the item. The burgers were dry and greasy (McDonald s quality). The facility is understaffed. Patrons are sat at dirty tables with no napkins. The a.c is working at 50% capacity because it s so hot on the inside. Bathrooms are nasty with clogged toilets. So many better restaurants in this area. We regret spending our time and money here. Save your time and money.

Went her over the weekend while visiting my kids at school. We had checked out reviews and pictures online and thought we would give the place a try. The food was disgusting, service was horrible. We started off with the three dip appetizer, that had queso, salsa, and guacamole. The server told us there was no more guacamole, and offered to give us double queso. The queso was served to us cold. When we asked her to please heat up, she rolled her eyes and insisted she did. We stayed for the entire meal since we had already placed our orders, and had taken over 30 mins to find a parking space to even get there. I ordered shrimp tacos, it was literally 3 pieces of plain shrimp, with the tail still attached, rolled up in a tortilla. We also had three orders of fajitas, which looked and tasted like they came from the frozen food section at a grocery store and were simply heated up and served to us. When trying to get the waitresses attention to get the check, she walked over our table and said, what do you need with an attitude. I will note that we spend over $140 on our tab, we even gave the server an 18% tip because she was clearly a college student. We will never go here again!!!

I stopped in for lunch today, since this establishment showed up as one of the best burgers in San Marcos. I wanted something a little lighter, so I got the chips with salsa, guacamole and queso. The portion was large and I took most of it home. Hannah was tending the bar. Her service was outstanding. Another google roulette brings us here. The atmosphere is fantastic. Pool, live music, corn hole, and several other games. The area outside was great. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Great place to bring your kids and still be able to enjoy some adult beverages. I had a burger, and my spouse had the samples platter with shrimp, cheese quesadilla, and fried mushrooms. The food wasnt bad, not great, but decent. I had the Hickory burger. The burger itself was bland, and the Jalapeño didnt really add anything to it. What made the burger was the bbq sauce. The fries were amazing, and I could have eaten every one of them. The shrimp from the platter was perfect. Cooked well and seasoned. The quesadilla was good. The letdown were the fried mushrooms. They were so watery I didnt even eat them. The service was awful. The guy never offered to refill my water, and we had to go and get our next beer. This is a great place but needs some issues worked out.

Dirty tables and dirty floor when you walk in. Long wait for waiter/waitress to almost empty restaurant. I wiped my own table down. The food was 4/10. The chips and salsa 2/10. I attended a rehearsal dinner here. It is loud in the building so it is hard to hear the bar tender, but outside is rather relaxed. There is a pool table and two dart boards inside. Outside, they have the hook/ring toss game, jumbo Jenga, connect 4, corn hole, and ping pong. The kitchen struggled to make everyones order (about 30 people in the dinner party) and two people ended up having to eat much later than the rest of us. The man who took our order said it was his third day and he already looked like he hated working here. He was rather curt, never smiled, and looked annoyed while trying to bring food out to our group. The food was good, being able to sit around drink and play games was nice. Dietary restrictions: No gluten free bread options. No corn tortillas.

We have been there twice in the last month with the family. Our service was good and we loved the back space for the kids to run around and play. But the food was awful and wrong. First visit three of us got burgers. All three burgers were made wrong. Each one a different problem. When we finally got them right they were cold because they obviously didn t make us a new burger but just took off or added what they missed. The burger and the fries were so salty they almost couldn t be eaten (we left most of them). Tonight two of our group didn t get their meals until almost 20 minutes after the first ones got theirs. One was a burger the other fried fish. Then the burger came out wrong. Missing cheese and with onions that were asked to be cut. It also had fries instead or rice on the side. It went back cheese was slapped on and onion taken off and it was returned. The fries still on the plate. But rice added. Two times in less than a month and the same issues both times. One server not ours made a comment not enough people reading English in the kitchen. I don t know if that s the issue or not. I m all for people working that are willing to work but sounds like there needs to be some training. It s a bar and grill. I don t expect 5 star dining. But this was bad.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. The bartender is the manager also and he takes shots with customers. The wait was 45 mins for food and there was only 6 other people in the restaurant. Food was okay. Our burger was wrong and we asked for it to be removed and they did but the owner was nice and remade it Togo for us. But would not recommend.

First off it is a bar more than a casual dining facility. That is completely ok and go into your experience with that in mind. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and were given service quickly. The highlight of the meal was the mozzarella bites. They were fluffy but cheesy. The burgers we average and the fries lacked seasoning. For bar food this was more than acceptable and would not be a bad meal, just not something I would go boasting to friends to go try.

Very young waitress, refused to write anything down when taking our order, party of 14. We joked if she would remember everything since nothing was written down. Zero stars.. Came here from out of town looking for a cool spot to watch the game and grab some food. One other table of guest were there when we arrived, table was dirty, bathrooms were dirty with no toilet paper, menu was not accurate and food was mediocre at best. Our food came out separately for each person and I had to ask for my husbands meal after 20 min of the rest of us getting ours. The food was cold. One of our party s food did not come out until we approached a bar tender about it. Underwhelmed completely. Came here from out of town thinking it would be a great, trendy place. The menu was not accurate, the catfish was to be SEVERAL catfish tenders and came out as one small filet and no tartar sauce in the restaurant! The server was not very informative of the lack of items or that it would take 25 minutes for our food to come, but just more drink refills. Totally bad experience: Pretty empty place when we visited on a Saturday evening, yet there was nobody to greet us, no signage as to seat yourself so we had to ask staff at the bar. Sat outside; a second party arrived about 10 minutes later and neither tables were waited on. We went inside to request service; a few minutes later a staff member came out, took drink orders for OTHER tables, and did NOT even check on us. We left. First time back since the pandemic. Railyard is showing signs of a struggling restraint/bar. Understaffed and the quality of food has gone down. Prices on the menu arent the price they are charging. Price hikes are expected with inflation and supply chain issues, but that should be communicated to the customer before ordering and certainly before the bill comes. Being understaffed could have been a one off that day. Being out of items on the menu from both the kitchen and bar is different. I like local businesses and I hope this one can make it and get back to where they were before the pandemic. I will still go there to have beers with friends and enjoy the outdoor seating, but it will take a change for me to eat there again.

Ended up having to order our food at the bar after waiting for a server who never showed up. Never got a refill. Fries are definitely frozen. Margs had to be virgin. But, the mozzarella balls were bomb. Also, had to cash ourselves out at the bar. Couldnt tell you who our server was, wouldnt know them if they slapped me in the face. Very disappointing visit.

Got the smothered Turkey leg, fried pickles and a Mojito. Turkey leg was kinda dry and the Mac n cheese needed flavor. It was supposed to be Cajun but 0 flavor. Had to ask for hot sauce and spice on the side. Fried pickles. Super good, well fried but they charged $.50 for an extra container of ranch which seemed ridiculous. Mojito watered down. I think they added water to make it fill the glass when they should ve just used a smaller glass.

Very disappointed with my experience at Railyard. My friends and I went to get margaritas since it was their special for Wednesdays, and we were shocked to be charged for full-price. Neither the website nor the menu had a labeled timeframe for happy hour on Wednesday, the margaritas tasted like the 2.50 price that was listed for the special (we were charged 7.00 each), and our waitress didn t mention anything about the happy hour timeframe (apparently it s 4-8?) until after our checks came out. Just a mediocre experience and far too expensive for the quality of service and drinks we received.

The drinks and food were amazing! Their prices are super good for the quality you get. Our drinks and food both came out super fast, we barely had to wait. Our server, Payton, was super helpful and attentive. I will definitely come again and request him as our server!! I d say try the lemon pepper wings and train wreck!

The staff here is really doing their best. Im so grateful to then for keeping up and taking good care of myseelf and my partner. They were wiped out after graduation, but they kept up anyway. Anything they didnt have, they made sure to supplement. Great night.
