Super fun! Emily was our tour guide and she was great!! Came with our 4 and 6 year old and they enjoyed it too. The cave tour was interesting and just long enough to be informative but not lose the attention of the little ones. The cave tour, anti gravity room, and petting zoo/train ride took just under 2 hours total. Nice visit, thank you!

Wonder World Cave & Adventure Park is an absolute MUST do activity in San Marcos. It s super informative and educational and not just about the cave but of the entire area as a whole. They ve done a wonderful job of also incorporating other family friendly activities like a gravity defying house and petting zoo just to name a few. Don t skip the ride to the top of Wonder World Tower it s a beautiful and wonderfully unique vantage point from which you can observe much of the area. There is absolutely something for everyone here and even adults will leave learning something new! I ve been MANY times and I have an awesome and memorable experience every time. For those interested, they host tons of events throughout the year that you NEED to add to your calendars, such as: haunted cave tours around Halloween, a flea market every Sunday, a kids summer camp, and SO much more!

End of the tour I found a few mosquitoe bite around the legs and arms just be careful and bring with you anti-mosquitoes spray

We arrived later than I wanted to driving from Killeen, TX due to traffic. I called ahead to see if it was worth trying to make it before touring stopped for the day. Glad we proceeded with our adventure to the park, after receiving reassurance from the person on the phone to still come we were wished good luck on our travels. Our tour guide Gab was absolutely wonderful and had a great sense of humor! We learned so much and seen so many things during the tour! We thought we missed the petting zoo due to arriving late an exception was made to give my kids and I ride on the trolley we were treated like VIP. My kids and I are still talking about our experience from the weekend and appreciate the entire staff (family) from 04/07/2024.

The cave is super cool! This is really different than the other show caves youll see in Texas. Its a dry cave created by an earthquake. So its cool to walk through the fault line. Javi was a great tour guide! Still laughing about the fossilized potatoes! It is a lot of steps and not easy ones if you are thinking of bringing grandparents or anyone who has difficulties walking. We got the all in one ticket and you can probably skip that as the anti gravity house and petting zoo arent really worth it.

The only reason for giving the 2 stars is because the train ride, petting zoo was fun. But after paying $275 for our family to come in and do the all in one, we all ended up pretty disappointed in the cave tour. The group was so big and the front of the tour may have had a better time, but our end of the tour didnt hear any of the tour guides info. The only thing we heard was when we all sat in the room and the end. There shouldnt have been that many people in one group. As a family of 9 who drove from Houston to see the caves, I am very disappointed. I was hoping for more. Definitely do not recommend if you actually want a tour. Other families behind us described the same thing. We expressed to the tour guide at both stops that we couldnt hear anything he said and he said, yea this is a pretty big group and he shrugged his shoulders. Everyone should get a refund for this tour.

Give a big thank you to staff for letting us join the cave tour without booking online. Must book reservations online. History about cave and the original owner and second owner was interesting. The black out experience in one section of cave was a little unnerving, but the guide warned everyone. It is steep, slippery, low ceilings, deep steps up and down, so use hand rails as instructed. Our large group got separated on the way out due to one elderly individual not paying attention and keeping up with the group. The tour guide was in front, and could not see the end of our group to know separation had occurred. One adult tourist realized what happened and came back to guide us out correctly. It is a story to tell for my wife and I of our experience at cave. We did lol about it o our drive home.

From booking to checking in and completion, the staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. Our guide was amazing. Cal was passionate about her tour, informative and entertaining. The information about the various animals and historical stories she told us were very interesting. The train ride and feeding the animals was so much fun.. Cal was so patient and sweet to our group at all times. It was nice of her to offer taking pictures of our members so we didnt have to struggle taking selfies in the cave. She was able to seemlessly be methodical with any safety issues throughout the tour in a very calming and confident manner. We were very thankful for her expertise and thoughtful manner. We couldnt have had a better experience. We even made a few purchases at the gift shop. One was a Wondercave sticker with an emu. Thank you Cal.

Definitely recommend buying the food for the animals for $3 a cup, the animals will pretty much ignore you if you dont have the kibble. The cave was very cool as well. A little less than a mile walk, but a lot of it is steps, some of which are quite steep. Youve gotta be in fair shape, but its not too difficult to manage. It is a crazy twisty staircase adventure and not for mobility disadvantaged. So yep you are probably carrying that toddler! The whole family will love the animal train, tower and weird tilt house. Good gift shop. Snack bar and feed stalls take cards. Wear real shoes, not flip flops or crocs as the stairs are a killer! Tip the guides. If you are scared of heights skip the tower. As soon as we walked out the people working there had already shut off the lights rushing to leave. This was very disappointing & for someone who has never been here, don t even bother giving your money to this place, the workers were rude & unprofessional laughing & giggling while telling us they were closing for the day. Will never come here again & will let all my friends & family who wanted to come experience this to not even waste their time. IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NO STARS I WOULD!!!! PS another couple had gotten there before us & was turned down also.

Thats very frustrating and not meeting customer standards, if they know when the last tour is, the should put it on the website, location closes at this time but last tour of the day will be at this time. Also, if you close at a certain time why leave the establishment 40 minutes before closing time. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! 4-14-24.

I m only rating it four stars because of the pricing it kind of caught me off guard it was $98 for two adults and one child. We had a great tour guide in the cave. Their name was Theo. They also drove us on the trolley they had a great sense of humor. The animals are all very friendly and feeding them was a treat for my child. Theo Was very informative and made the cave experience very fun for this family of three! I would have tipped Theo at the end of the experience but had 1 dollar and some change left over of the cash we had set aside for this experience.

We had a great time here today! We bought the all-in-one ticket for around $32 and it was totally worth it! The cave tour was great thanks to our funny and knowledgeable tour guide, Theo! Our favorite part was the anti- gravity room but beware . It is really hard to walk in there! Last was the train ride through the little wildlife park! I definitely recommend buying the food to feed the animals! The have peacocks, deer, potbelly pigs, emu, and others! It was a fun and educational afternoon!

About a week ago my family and I visited the park and we took the cave tour. Afterwards we went to the antigravity room. Throughout the tour we were guided by Stephen, who was also training other guides. Stephen and his team MADE the tour a great experience. They were sharing the right information at the right time, engaging us with interesting facts, and corny dad jokes that were well timed. Finally, our family asked if we could go up to the observation tower. It wasn t open yet, but as the manager he checked with the owner (I presume), and said they would begin tours of the tower soon. He made sure we were aware that it hadn t officially opened, but we were welcome to accompany him on his inspection of the tower to begin prepping it. That struck me as a customer service driven attitude that also aligned with his clear goal of making it an experience we would remember. Thank you to Stephen, his team, the rest of the park staff, and management.

Very cool place. All of the staff were very friendly and super helpful. I cant remember our tour guides name BUT she was the best! Some of the steps and spaces in the cave are narrow and a bit scary. We took our 3 year old son and there were other small kids as well. After the cave we went to the gravity house and rode the train across the street to see and feed the animals. There were also areas where kids could play, a food cafe, and a souvenir shop. The kids had a great time and we would definitely put this on a list of things to do for summer/spring breaks or even a weekend.

Wonder World Cave and Park is really fun! The train ride to see and feed the animals is pretty unique. They really love their animals. The cave is fantastic. Our guide, Tay, was personable, fun, and informative. This cave is different in that it was formed by an earthquake along the Balcones Fault Line.

Wonder World is a throw back to road trip destinations, loading up with the kids to go see something you can t see anywhere else. We did the cave tour and the anti-gravity house. Worth the price of admission. There are bigger and more beautiful caves in Texas, but this is the only one formed by earthquake (vs erosion), and that creates a unique experience. The guide was great and entertaining. On the whole, the stuff above ground could use a fresh coat of paint, but a nice experience all around.

Really great place! I would say one of the top three things I have visited over multiple visits to Texas! Really neat cave tours, most of the cave is left as natural as possible and my tour guide Saturn was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Cool antigravity house, but not super exciting. Animal safari was great, really enjoyed seeing and feeding the anelope, deer, and emu. Definitely your number one stop in San Marcos if you have children!

Came here on the Thanksgiving weekend as a surprise for my 5 and 8 year old kids. My 5 year old loves trains. We arrived at 4.10 pm and were told the last train just left even though there is still daylight for at least another hour. There is also no train schedule so it seems like they just stop the ride whenever they want. My 5 year old was understandably devastated. And we felt cheated. The cave tour was fun and interesting. Our guide, Sheridan was awesome and funny. There is really cool history and stories of this cave. They advertised the place as a petting zoo but there were only 2 goats. And 2 macaws in a cage and a tortoise in a fenced area. Calling it a petting zoo is a stretch. After my tour ended it was 6pm and they are still open until 7pm. However they have already shut everything down, including the gem mining activity. The kids were once again, disappointed. We were told they close everything up after the last tour even though they advertised they are open till 7pm. So people who want to visit, do take note. We purchased 2 bags of gems to bring them home in the end. The staff are nice and friendly. The whole place could use a overhaul. The photo booth was broken and took our money which the staff kindly refunded us. They do give military and Texas State student discounts. If you have to pay full price, I do not think it is worth it.

We went to WonderWorld. Ashley our tour guide was funny and filled with knowledge. We learned so much about Texas History and the upcoming of a wonderful place. Caves, fun houses, train rides, and a petting zoo. * I do not recommend the cave for small children. The fun house has an intense optical illusion. Take it slow and steady on these two.

I looked online the week before AND. The day before we went. It was supposed to be open but it wasnt. We were very disappointed because we wanted to have a great time there and make the day of it. The manager or owner should be reprimanded for their part of ruining our late morning. If they were going to be closed they should have said so. There wasnt even an explanation in the door. The hours were posted that they should have been open but again they were just closed; lights out.

First time visiting this place after seeing it advertised on the freeway and we ended up regretting it and me stung twice by bees, which Im slightly allergic to. The people who work there are polite, however, its chaotic to visit and disorganized. We bought the all-in-one ticket and never made it to anything except with 2 bee stings, pain, and discomfort. We were asked to wait for our group for an hour, meanwhile, the place inside and outside was swarming with bees - we kept running away from them but they were everywhere. While waiting on the train for 20 minutes going nowhere because the driver was not aware of what group it was I got stung 2 times, people kept running and complaining about the bee chaos and the nonsensical issues with the miscommunication between staff. My family and I were asked to go inside, I was given ice and medicine but honestly not enough to help the pain. All of a sudden we heard that someone had messed up and our group was split in 2 one going to the cave and another on the train - no one knew why but there was no communication between the staff and it all became a mess at that point. We felt overwhelmed and disappointed and decided we were done and left. We got a refund but we wasted so much time, my health was jeopardized and our daughters were saddened that their Labor Day was ruined. I dont even if would return, I would much rather go to the Natural Bridge Caverns.

We only did the caves in a very busy weekend (labor day weekend) The down was the administration put like 40 people in our group and It was claustrophobic while we were in the smaller rooms inside of the cave, it became hot and a few of us were dizzy. The pro, I have to admit we were very impressed by our tour girl ( I think Ashley was her name -Sunday at 3:30pm caves tour) who managed to keep us ALL under control, informed, and comfortable under the circumstances while we cruised the caves. Thank you, girl! For the caves I think it is a worth experience to explorer them, very unique origen and story behind the place! The star less was because the huge group that shouldnt have happened, so wed actually enjoy the whole experience properly.
