Love the food here, my friend got invited to highlight the restaurant and kitchen staff. Since then I make the drive for the food. So very unfortunate that I had the most RACIST server. Not only did she rush us to order but asked us to please not skip on the bill cause im sure she says that to all her tables. Made what would have otherwise been a great evening feel very upsetting. To say the least try not to look brown when you walk in I guess

When we found the restaurant coming from Katy if we didn t have the address could never find it.. It s sitting behind a bunch of bushes we walk in no customer service no one asked Us would we like to dine in or did we needed anything They look at Us like we shouldn t came here to their restaurant..I feel like they had a problem cause of Our Racism..

Great little spot to sit on the patio and enjoy a breeze. Had some fun live music. Margaritas were strong and overall just a neat place. Gumbo is a very dark and thick roux. Nice assortment of grilled oysters. Oysters Gilhooley are the best IMO - keep it simple.

Always excellent service at Gilhooleys. We love the boiled shrimp and the shrimp Gumbo. Two of my favorites! Great cocktails in a laid-back atmospere, Gilhooleys is one of my favorite spots to recommend as a local San Leon business owner. Parking: Always plenty of parking, but as a local favorite, theres usually a crowd.

The atmosphere is great for night out with friends. Great food for the price. They have an indoor and outdoor bar. The outdoor bar sometimes has a live band. The outdoor seating has large tables for big groups. The atmosphere is for 21 and older, not meant for children. Parking: Big free gravel parking lot.

Saw this place on TV and drove from Corpus Christi for lunch. WOW! Well worth the drive. The spinach artichoke shrimp grilled oysters (I know right) were awesome! The fried oysters and catfish were great as well. Alli our server was spot on and very nice. Will certainly make the drive again!

I came for gumbo and oysters and they didnt disappoint. I had a dozen raw oysters and Everybody Gumbo. Wife had stuffed catfish with onion rings. Everything was fantastic! We sat at the bar and had friendly and fast service. Really enjoyed our visit.

Great people visit Gilhooley s, especiallly the outside bar. All friendly and talkative, lots of laughter. Restaurant atmosphere also is really good. Inside is clean, but gotta mention the food 10/10!! Reuben WOW!! Pattymelt WOW!! We re betting everything and the huge menu of items is gonna be good. So it s a weekly trek to Gilhooleys to fullfill that goal of trying everything. Awesome staff too.

We ordered the oyster samplers, fried mushrooms, fried half gizzard and half liver, and shrimp po boy sandwich. All were very tasty. We also ordered the gumbo, which was just okay. The service was not bad since it wasn t super crowded. They have both outdoor and indoor seating, and there are two bars. Their michelada is great. Swing by if you are around the area. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for indoor.

This place is worth the 45 min drive. It is in the middle of nowhere (San Leon). 50 cent oysters, come on, are you kidding me. The crawfish were so flavorful. Ive been twice, and Im planning to go back soon. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps throughout, but the parking lot is gravel.

if you want great food at an even better price this is just for you. I enjoyed an early evening dinner on a Saturday. With the NO KIDS ALLOWED it made for a very relaxed and fun atmosphere. Service was horrible but I can only equate it to how busy it was and not directly related to my servers attitude. She was wonderful just so many tables and not enough wait staff. I had the crab stuffed shrimp and it set off a party of flavor in my mouth. The portions were perfect. I didnt leave hungry but had no doggie bag for my pup at home. Gilhooleys is kind of a dive, but thats the fun. Seafood is fresh as long as local catches are ordered. Always had great service there.
