My wife met me here for lunch and she had already ordered my food before I got there. Sat down waited for about 5 mins to see if the waitress would come ask if I needed anything (which I did). After a little over 5 minutes, no one came, so I got up and went to get my own silverware and extra napkins from their services area. Still after that, no one came to ask if we were ok (which i wasnt). I still hadnt gotten a drink and went the whole 40 mins. I was there with nothing to drink and no waitress. We were ready to go, and finally, a waitress showed up with the bill. It was lunchtime, and it wasnt that busy in the area I was in.

Great staff & services and great food. Favorite time is breakfast. Delicious breakfast platters or tacos with well cooked potatos, eggs, beans. But sadly only available on Saturday & Sunday. Or tune in for lunch for some good fajitas, chicken & tacos.

We had a family gathering and the person who was supposed to cook the rice cancelled on us. We called El Gallito and placed a last minute order. They were able to accommodate us. The rice was so delicious, none was left over. It was delivered in a sturdy long pan covered by a plastic wrap and foil cover to maintain the rice warm. The price was affordable. Im truly grateful for them going the extra mile. I highly recommend them.

I recommend both breakfast and lunch. Its been a while since I was there for breakfast, but I remember it was really good. The staff is awesome. We were asked several times if we needed anything. She was really attractive. We were a party of 7 - 3 adults, 1 teen, and 3 kids under 10. Vegetarian options: I know they have a keto friendly menu ... but my son went for the burrito plate. It was his cheat day. Parking: If you go at peak times like early morning for breakfast, itll be packed. We try to avoid peak times. Kid-friendliness: The kids got regular plates because they wanted the shrimp plate, which they loved.

05-24-2024 visit, food was great. Hadnt been here in a bit. Gotta say, theyre pretty darn consistent. Great Monterrey Chicken & Mariachi plate. Definitely be back.......... Great food, great service.4/14/23 visit. Stopped in for a late dinner. Sat immediately, drink order taken quickly and entree order taken shortly after that. Over a good visit but it was really cold in there. Started off with chips and salsa, fair warning they arent complimentary. Were ok with that. I ordered a classic, Monterey Chicken and the wife had taquitos of bistek. Food was great.

My first time here, and definitely not my last! I was visiting from Iowa and was invited to meet family for lunch. The staff was very welcoming and hospitable. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. The food was delicious and plentiful. Our waitress, l didn t get her name, and the rest of the staff delivered awesome customer service. The owner stopped by our table several times to check on us. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in San Benito Texas. Can t wait to return!

The food has always been good. However in my opinion its like eating in a hall. The sound is extremely loud and I find myself almost yelling. Not sure what it is that amplifies the noise so much. When you walk outside you literally feel relieved and can hear yourself think again.

The carne guisada, chk/beef enchiladas, the soup n anything u order is scrumptious. ...Oooh n the tea is so yummy. I have to take a large glass home...love it. I recommend u eat here, u wont regret it. Parking: Wish they relocate to a bigger bldg n more parking space. But worth o the wait .....

It was today, Friday the 13th 23rd, we went to eat at this place. Terrible food, my husband ordered a beef broth, it was salty, the cabbage was very overcooked, the meat was very cold, the frozen tortillas and I ordered a pork chops, they had a reheated taste, a bad taste. We will never return to this place, nor do I eat food like this at home. And apart from being super expensive, I dont recommend this place at all!!!

Went to eat dinner with my husband and there were not a lot of people so we knew that there would not be a long wait for our food. Well we received our tacos and the rice had a couple of baby roaches. Gross.. my husband told the lady at the front and she said that they just fell in while it was on the heat lamp and that they would move the tacos to a different plate and give us different rice. Umm no. Never again.

Great variety for breakfast but dont get the oatmeal or the eggs with nopales. Oatmeal was bland, nopales were a mixture of hard and tender with no flavor. Adding salsa didnt help much. The service was excellent, the waitress was polite and helpful. The only issue with atmosphere is noise vibrates around the room.

Get home and find that the order was lazily made all chips were clumped up and only like five chips had beans and meat on them, the rest were just dry chips.
