We order from here through Uber Eats app. and they did a great job with our order. I appreciate the plastic ware setup since I was staying at a hotel and didnt have any. The moist brisket is too much fat for me and shouldnt have order it, other than that everything else is great.

I do not understand the near 5 star rating. First off, the pulled pork was the most disgusting BBQ I have EVER had. No contest. Pulled pork should be smoky and juicy. This was like stew! Tasted as though theyd treated it like chicken and loaded it down with mustard. Ive eaten a lot of BBQ, pulled pork in particular, and this was truly inedible. The flavor of the rib was strange as well. The brisket was DRY and flavorless. The only thing we enjoyed without adding seasoning was the potato salad. The beans tasted salt less. Overall very overrated and expensive. If youve never been in, you cannot see the meat before ordering to make some kind of decision about what to order. Its all kept out of sight in the back. FAR cry from 5 star BBQ!! Absolutely regret coming in!

First time trying Texas BBQ and it did not disappoint. The brisket was juicy, tender and smoky. The pork ribs were mostly juicy with some of the thicker meats being a bit dry and not very much smokiness, but still good overall. My father in law enjoyed the turkey sandwich and my mother in law said that the chicken was nice and juicy. The BBQ baked beans had no BBQ in it so it was savory and not sweet, but still pretty good. The cream of corn also was not sweet at all, but also still pretty good. The restaurant was clean with a backyard type of ambience. Counter service was good, but lacked the country style warmth.

Rudys is a great place to eat!! The food is fantastic, the staff are too! We forgot a knife to cut the cake with, then we realized we didnt have anything to light the candles with..... I asked a young lady who worked there if she could help us with either of these issues! She brought us a big spatula that not only cut the cake but made serving it so much easier!! She jokingly told me if she couldnt find a lighter, she would get a piece of wood or something, light it in the stove and bring it over to light the candles! Turned out she found a lighter!! It made our celebration complete because of these details! If you like good BBQ, you need to get over to Rudys!!

Rudys is a great place to eat. Amiable staff. Everything is a la carte. Chen helped me order and was very welcoming by explaining their menu and ordering. I tried the pulled pork sandwich, sliced Brisket sandwich, Rudys beans, and cream corn. I tried their original BBQ sauce and their sissy sauce. Their original was very good, with just enough heat and spice. The other sauce was good and had a sweet, savory flavor. Their portion size is above average. I recommend both sandwiches with their original sauce. The beans were excellent flavor and a little spice, too. The cream corn was delicious, too. Yes, that is a plastic crate my food is in. This place is a throwback to dining many years ago. All paper containers, serve yourself drinks (or bottled drinks), and sauce is served yourself too a rustic dining room. Prices are fair. We wanted Texas BBQ in Texas and this was delicious. They sell everything separately so you just order your meat and sides in the size you want. The turkey was amazing. The potato salad was a little sweet for my taste but the other sides were delicious. I loved the country atmosphere and the employees were very friendly. My only real complaint was that I was hoping the store would actually have some souvenirs or Texas decor or something (similar to Cracker Barrel if you ve been there) but with the exception of Rudy s T-shirts and hats it just has a few snacks and drinks. Overall I m glad we chose Rudy s for our Texas BBQ experience.

This place was amazing, the smell of BBQ was in the air as soon as we parked the car and then got a good helping when we walked in the front door, Stella and the pit crew were wonderful to work with and they helped steer us in the right direction, we loved the samples of turkey and brisket and ended up getting a half pound of both, the three bean salad was delicious along with the coleslaw and the new potatoes Thank you for the southern hospitality! I ordered take out so I could eat in my hotel room in my bed with my bathrobe around my neck like a cape. I had a long day at work and I just wanted to kick back. Got my food curbside and it couldnt have been any more convenient than that. Went here only because Texas True by HEB was out of brisket. Rudys brisket is so dry. Even the fatty brisket was dry and I wouldnt even consider that fatty brisket. You have to drown it in bbq sauce so you dont choke on the dryness. The baby back ribs were dry and over cooked as well. UPDATE: I have been to Rudys several times since my last review and it has been consistently better. Upgraded to 4 stars. The previous comment, shown below, was the only bad experience Ive had at Rudys in over 200 visits. That is a pretty good record and they deserve credit for that accomplishment. One star was deducted because the meat is often served lukewarm, not hot. Ive always enjoyed Rudys and I eat there at least 3 times/month but todays visit was not up to standards. My order of extra lean brisket was nothing like previous visits. The brisket was untrimmed with 60% fat and 40% meat. I should have sent it back. Very disappointed.

So I thought bbq would make a great family meal to celebrate my nephews new job. I ordered a group meal from here for our game night on 6/15 to be ready for pick up around 5pm. The food was ready when we arrived, and was still at preferred temperatures when we got it back home. The pulled pork and moist brisket were juicy and packed full of flavor. All of the sides were delicious and had us going back for more, and I was surprised to see that they gave us an entire loaf of bread and a whole bottle of barbecue sauce! No burnt ends without a straight brisket order. The chocolate pudding had about a tablespoon of pudding and the rest was whipped cream. Coleslaw was very bland. Pulled pork sandwich had onions included, even though we asked for plain. Lovely atmosphere and service, though. Do not recommend.

Great bbq spot efficient system in place to get ordered items by the time you pay. Brisket and baby rack ribs were excellent not overcooked and great smoke flavour.

You can t go wrong with this bbq. Others will disagree but the bbq has always tasted good. Never had a problem with the food or service. Breakfast tacos are awesome!

Waited in line for several minutes only to get to the counter and find out they were out of what I wanted (right at dinner time). Another time my order got buried somehow and I waited 20+ minutes for them to make. Asked about it several times as many after me kept leaving with their order and I never got help. Very frustrating customer service .

Love the food, clean dining area, with employees constantly circulating, & keeping it clean, & attentive to diners. Babies kids young adults, older folks can enjoy the laid back atmosphere. Eat, visit, enjoy without rushing. Sliced brisket, smoked turkey are my favorites! Give them a try, if you leave hungry, its your fault.
