This past August we recently held our daughter s quinceanera at The Veranda. It is one of the most beautiful venues we ve seen. It definitely is a hidden charm. The food that was catered through Spice of Life was amazing. We love all the shade and castle like vibes. The twinkling lights at night. Staff absolutely amazing. Jamie is the staff member who assisted us and made things so easy from the very beginning. This day wouldn t have been so special without their help!

My brother in law had his wedding here and it was a beautiful venue! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the actual venue itself it was gorgeous and we got great pictures. This is probably one of the reasons why I still gave it three stars. I personally was fortunate enough to not have to encounter Christina (I believe that s her name) the manager face to face but one time for a quick drink. She was not nice at all to the guest at the wedding. She told my sister in law when she went up to the bar (it was an open bar) for her second drink that she was cut off and that she had to much to drink. My sister took a Uber to the wedding and was only getting her second drink. My grandmother who doesn t drink got yelled at as she was leaving when she stumbled on some rock by Christina saying ma am how much did you drink!? . I could keep going about how rude this woman was but I think you get the point. Bartender was frustrated because he just wanted to do his job and she wouldn t leave him alone. I hope our tips made up for it. I would fire Christina she s horrible at her job I m sorry.

Went for my brothers wedding a week ago. The venue was beautiful, it was an outdoor ceremony, reception was inside. Food was very good, theirs was a brunch wedding. (I think catering was included? Maybe even wedding planner? I wasnt part of planning or details so I cant say for sure). They had an omelette bar which was delish, salad, bacon/sausage, staff kept everything filled. Restrooms were clean, the bridal suite was nice with a sofa for seating. The grooms quarters were very spacious and clean. Staff was helpful and courteous.

Very well done recital - the quartet was spot on in their performance and the venue was perfect. My wife and I would definitely come to see another performance again. If you are taking suggestions, maybe consider doing a James Bond versions.

Wonderful venue for all kinds of events. I attended a beautiful wedding. Lots of room inside and out for large gatherings and groups. Very disappointed in this venue, I had been emailing since January 21st and made an appointment with Kim to go tour on Feb 6th to go see the venue with my future daughter in law and told them we were very interested in having my sons wedding at their venue. It was a wedding were are trying to plan for March 12th the day was available, Another reason for a quick wedding was my other son is also in the military and he is going to home in March so making plans so he could be home for his brothers wedding. I asked for a brunch menu and told Kim I was going to wait and see what the menu options were and that my son was in Hawaii as he was there for he is in the military. I received the menu from Jenna, we looked it over and again I was emailing them and told them we wanted to set another appointment. I was planning on putting a contract on for March 12th and setting up everything on Thursday with my son who would be back home and his finance. Made the appointment for Feb 9th. We get there, we meet with Jenna and I am asking questions. Then Jenna asked if we are really set for the date of March 12th? My son fiance said we want that date, the Jenna replies that someone came in the day before and put a bid on March 12th and same time and they gave them that day knowing we were coming in the day after. We did not receive and email or a phone call because if I did I would have just gone then to pay for everything. Now we are rushing to find another venue and trying to plan everything when we thought it was set. Yes, I was told first come first serve basis but I had been emailing and communicating with them and they could not give the courtesy to give me a heads-up. What really upset me that I told Jenna the other person we spoke to who is Kim that we wanted March 12th and she said well a lot of people say they want to book but never come back. WE CAME BACK AND WERE EMAILING BACK AND FORTH! All honesty that place is not kept clean and when you show up no one is there to great you, First time I arrived I yelled HELLO up the stairs to get there attention second time someone was walking down the stairs and I told him we had an appointment. You pay for what you get a dirty not kept up venue bad customer service. Yes it is the winter but keep up with the dead plants.

Came as a wedding guest... beautiful venue, lots of privacy even though its in a busy area, staff was nice, a great experience.... the parking area is a little tight though, so if youre driving a tall or lifted vehicle (i.e. big truck) you might have to park outside, which is not a big deal bc there is road side parking just outside back entrance

The Veranda venue and partner caterer Spice of Life were absolutely wonderful to us. They were quick to respond on any wedding questions we had. The venue was beautiful. The food was Delicious! An absolutely beautiful location, within our budget, close to hotels. Logistically perfect for out of town guests. It was a quick 5-10 minute Uber ride to 3 hotels nearby, and 10-15 minute ride to the SATX Airport. Perfect for out of town guests- no guess work. We are so happy we chose this group for our wedding day.

The wedding was during one of the hottest summers Texas has seen in a long time, yet the only time guests had to experience the heat was the short ceremony. They have a good amount of indoor space for inclement weather, the mansion is gorgeous and the reception hall has ample lighting and windows. It s a pleasure to shoot here. You can shoot indoors and it will be just as stunning as if your shot outdoors. I recommend The Veranda for your wedding or event.

Had an appointment at 10:30 today to view the venue for our wedding. We emailed them prior to showing up, called when we arrived and waited in the downstairs area to be helped. Waited 15 minutes with no help. Went upstairs to ask if we were going to be shown the venue and was told to wait. The person who was suppose to show the venue to us was about to take another phone call when another told her that they will take the call so she could help those people downstairs . From this interaction, this venue will be very disconnected and have zero effort in your planning. If they can t give you the time for a scheduled meeting, what does that say when your wedding day comes?

I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU! to ALL the staff and more specifically Jessica & Kimberly for making our wedding a memorable experience. My husband and I were canceled at our original venue. So within a week we had to find a new place and re arrange our entire wedding. I made one call to Jessica and she saved the day! She asked me what I needed, and was very attentive throughout the whole process. For situations like ours, it can be difficult to feel confidant going into a whole new situation last minute. Yet, Jessica and her staff did everything in their power to communicate, and provide nothing but the best experience for my husband and I. We cannot thank you enough! I attended a wedding there this past weekend. I give the food 5 stars and the staff 5 stars. The House is lovely and theres a nice reception area. However, the grounds were in need of a lot of attention - it was not mown; there was trash littered around; the wedding party and guests were eaten up by insect bites (they had not done any fogging or treatment for insects); the outdoor lighting was not sufficient. The most neglected areas were in the parking areas around the perimeters. The fence line was littered with broken tables and chairs. Thats not appealing to guests! You can only make it so far depending on the good food and lovely historic building. Clean your venue!

Attended a wedding at this venue, beautiful old stone house and the grounds are full of old oak trees. They have a large hall in back of the main house for receptions. Only limitation is that a lot of the space is outside and we had had rain up until about 2 hours before the wedding so the area in the yard for the wedding ceremony was wet and a little muddy.

Do not do business with these people. And this isnt some idiotic complaint to get mad at these people for spilling my water or something simple. Please read: We signed a contract for a dollar amount and 4 days later they are trying to bill us for a labor fee that we never signed for in our contract to set up and take down chairs. The owner and staff try to play a guilt trip on you to get you to pay for the fee by saying Well you had a good event right? We have to pay our people. Are you telling me we shouldnt pay our people? I cant think of a business that can get away with signing a contract, then get paid, then try to bill you more for non-agreed fees. Literally, they are deceptive in their dealings. So, I would say get in writing the total amount before you decide this is your place, but chances are, it wont matter anyway. Or, just dont do business with shady people. Chanel, literally said I dont have energy for this as I tried to state why this was wrong in a calm voice. Then Mike the owner, hung up on me when I was trying to make the same point.

This beautiful gem hidden in the city has a rich history and is perfect for small meetings or events. The castle on the hill has gorgeous stone architecture and inside the main building you just want to explore every nook. The only downside (why not 5 stars) is because of parking. Limited for sure. I feel like it can fit a ton more people than parking allows. This place is beautiful though. It would be an amazing photo location spot too.

We attended a party here and we were simply blown away. The venue had multiple buildings and can accommodate all kinds of events from weddings to graduations. I wish I would have taken more pictures! They have a beautiful pond in the middle of the courtyard with goldfish! This location will be top of mind for my future events!
