This is a cool little sight seeing stop that I think is a must see! It s really a nice little stroll along the water way which is on a concreted trail. And there were so many catfish in that water!! Which I thought was pretty cool to see. I really didn t know what to expect when I went out there. I am really happy that I went.My family and I really did enjoy our little walk out there.

Small attraction in middle of the Riverwalk. Tips for covering this place: Park the available garage near La vilita or Riverplace mall and you can cover almost the entire riverwalk on either sides align with this hidden attractions. Better to visit during morning or late evenings for beautiful selfies/pictures. HappyVisiting

This really needs to be updated and maintained! We were checking out the Pearl on our anniversary trip, and I thought this would be a cute place for a few quick selfies. The waterfall wasnt working, and it was dirty. There was trash float in places where it looked like the water was normally ran through a pump. We should have gone somewhere else because it was really disappointing. This is such a nice area. I hope they start to better maintain this cool spot.

Parked close to the grotto was very nice people walking, jogging and bike riding. We walked a good while into the night. We did find a snake in the water. Enjoyed the lights along the way. We didn t get to see the light show by the docks maybe next time we will make time. On the way back we stopped at the truck stop had an all alcoholic drink spot. Maybe next trip we can enjoy the swing at elsewhere. Definitely a good place to walk again and bring our dogs during the day plenty of doggie waste stations

I used to live in SA and loved visiting here. I have moved out of town and come here to visit. The Grotto was a great place to visit for a walk when the Grotto was first structured. In my opinion, it has become forgotten by SA. It is due for a major power wash. Bird and bat droppings smell at the Grotto walkway is an unhealthy smell and touch. The water needs an alkaline balance to highten its beauty let alone for the safety of water and land animals ( including humans). The Grotto could be at the table of discussion by city council. Until its cleaned from trash and waste, I will not visit again. Dont forget, the parking lot under the bridge sadly is also in need of a major power wash.

Some of the local homeless people are very nice and told us where to sit so we would have the best view. A couple of them had some neat handmade trinkets you could buy, baby girl got a nice set of earrings the gentleman made with some vintage bottle caps.
