I am writing to share my recent experience at the Lucky Duck, which fell short of expectations during a night out with friends. On Saturday, my two friends and I began our evening at the Lucky Duck, intending to enjoy a lively night of bar hopping in downtown. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff and made our way upstairs to order drinks. Unfortunately, the drinks were not as expected, being quite watered down. As the venue was warm, we chose to stand near a fan, which happened to be adjacent to a group in their designated section. We engaged in friendly conversation with some individuals in that group, exchanged contact information, and began dancing together. However, our enjoyable evening took an unexpected turn when a very intoxicated woman approached us aggressively, questioning our presence. Although we had not interacted with her prior, her demeanor escalated quickly, leading to her demanding that we leave the premises. This was further exacerbated by her boyfriend, who approached us in a hostile manner, despite our group simply enjoying ourselves. Within moments, we were confronted by bouncers who escorted us out of the establishment, despite our attempts to understand the situation. We were not disruptive, nor were we intoxicated, and it felt as though we were unfairly targeted. Upon leaving, we went to Bentleys next door, where we were pleasantly surprised to find several patrons from the Lucky Duck who were equally confused by our removal and suggested that we report the incident for discrimination. We plan to take appropriate action regarding this experience. I would caution others considering a visit to Lucky Duck, as it appears that patrons may be subjected to unwarranted treatment by the management. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Krista was the best bartender I ve ever had the pleasure to converse with ! I ordered 2 espresso martinis and for what I assumed was a dive bar, they were the best espresso martinis I ve ordered in my whole life no joke guys (I m a retired bartender) hands down one of the best experiences I ve had in San Antonio!!

If i could 0 stars i would the bartender guy was very rude to me i ordered a casamigos and sprite which he then gave me casamigos and soda i tasted my drink n it was not sprite i told him politely that my drink was not sprite. Now idk if he was just having a bad day or what but he proceeded to come towards me and say i asked u if u wanted soda or sprite very rude, i never go out so this may be my fault for not knowing the difference but he did not have to come at me very rudely shaking his head and giving me attitude. I told him if he would just please change my drink which he did after arguing about whats soda and and sprite but still giving attitude. I work in costumer service and would never ever in my life Talk to someone like the way especially at a workplace! The costomer is always right he should have just changed my drink without saying anything. All i know is he missed out on a big tip and i will not be returning!

We went on a Sunday. There was a loudness competition with the bar next door, which made talking in our group a bit challenging. We were starving, but they were only serving breakfast until 5pm!!!! The mimosa special was outstanding! Cudos for that! Our group had four mimosas specials going at the same time. We had a great time and will be back!

I give 5 stars for the environment and service and drinks and the whole place is amazing. I will note if you are watching the open mic on Monday bring a seat cushion cause the steel chairs hurt haha but it s a hard place to leave.

Great place to take a girl to the restroom on shift rather than taking care of customers...very classy. I guess they couldnt wait till last call lol... just comp another bottle of house brut, probably J.Rojet... its cheap and itll be good without cutting too much cost. ...slightly ghetto in my opinion... and slightly overpriced for quality unless youre the girl in the restroom... then you got nothing to worry about. As a bartender for a bar that made top 10 on Current (2023) Id say thats very poor ettiquitte and yeah... staff needs to reorganize their priorities... especially the superiors

Vibes are immaculate, there s an upstairs and downstairs section, food trucks around the area. The best part was seeing this guy put all his force into the punching bag machine that he fell to the floor. Decided to stop by the Lucky Duck this past Saturday with some of my coworkers who had never been it was such an amazing experience. You have these amazing bartenders my favorite being Krista of course she s always welcoming. Never forgets me and makes me feel at home and it s just genuinely always kind to me which brings me back. The atmosphere is just so fun. The DJ was playing great music and at the end of the night he did play a song that I requested which I know was a little risky, but Rico Nasty is an amazing person and deserves to be recognized and the DJ did that. I also want to give a shout out to Sam The GM for hiring such wonderful staff and for making an experience they re always so fun, I love the indoor outdoor vibes. I love that you can go upstairs and peek over and see what s going on and Bentleys and I just love the drinks. They re delicious they re well priced it s just all in all the great time. Don t forget to get you a Lucky Duck Mug! Wheelchair accessibility: Easy indoor outdoor access to it from the bar on the first floor with a ramp at the entrance

Great place to go. Martha was ob point with drinks and popcorn for movie. My drink never went empty. The staff was great. There is plenty of games to play and tvs to watchSpurss games. It place you must visit. The food truck has great food. It is pet friendly too. Cant wait to see more comedy shows and to see what they have planned for New years Eve.

Had such a great time here. They had doogie djing and the man KILLED it! Perfect mix of all the genres you want to hear for a night out. I hope to see him there more as we love his vibe, and energy that pairs perfectly with the rooftop view and friendly bar staff. It was our 4th time here and Doogie s set was a clear standout. Can t wait for another night like this.

My husband and I used to go once or twice a week we don t bother anymore. Luis or Louie was our favorite bartender haven t seen him in many months. Bartenders are rude drunk or on phones. They have a tall white door man that needs a training video on customer service. Drinks were put on my coworkers tab she didn t order almost $50 worth. A girl manager fixed amount and bought her a beer shot combo for troubles. Rules with wardrobe tattoos bags etc change constantly based on what could be stereotypical profiling. Add on drunk threats shootings come on it s becoming outrageous between them and Bentley. The owners need to think about the customers safety and happiness if we re spending the money I really use to love this place when it first opened but rude unhappy workers and rules change way too much

Absolutely rude and not able to communicate like an adult. She said she runs the bar so I hope she can be more professional in the future.. if you can t handle a minor situation.. you shouldn t be bartending.

Did I show up to this place for the content? Yes. Was it worth the hype? No. We went on a random Sunday afternoon. The ambiance is absolutely laid back lounge vibes. I love that they have a rooftop bar area and have fun games for you to play. Adults like drink, enjoy a rooftop bar and arcade games. There were only a few people so the service was pretty prompt and we were able to comfortably walk about, take pictures, create fun content. Why 3 stars? I didn t enjoy this place enough to spend $10 a drink. Honestly though, I m a dive bar person at heart though, so when I go hang out with my friends I don t want to chill for awhile and enjoy a few drinks. I couldn t see myself doing that here on a regular basis unless they had a really good happy hour or drink specials. Nice atmosphere with live music. Very close to Bentley so when youre upstairs you hear their music instead but I did not mind. They have an upstairs bar as well as shady seating. Food truck in the back. Didnt get to buy any food but next time definitely will! Bathrooms are unisex but they have private bathrooms too. They had a giant fan that was cooling down the whole place. It really did help since we went during the day and it was very hot out. Overall friendly service and a decent place to grab a drink!
