I wasnt too impressed with the artichoke spinach dip. It wasnt creamy, and it tasted sour. The fried pickles were okay but not something I would get again. The pepperoni pizza was pretty good, and so was the ranch dressing/dip.

This place is awesome. The food is excellent first off, the owner was so kind and helpful, great selection of beers and they are dog friendly! We went in early for lunch and sat out on the patio with our pupper. The first thing the owner did was get a to go box full of water and took it out to the dog. They have a great lunch special for a two topping large pizza for $16. The pizza was big enough to feed three adults with a little leftover. The pizza was hot, fresh ingredients, this is probably the best pizza on the NE side. We will definitely be back!

I am writing a review because my wife wrote a review and you left a false response, I was there. I have all the times the time on the receipt from as soon as I got there to pay the bill for the order. I have the time I waited on the order from when we called in at 4:42 to the time I walked out the door with the pizza at your restaurant at 5:39 on the dot. The pizza was not hot like as if it should have been as if it was fresh out of the oven. The pizza was not made with extra cheese that I paid an extra 2:50 for. I picked the pizza up at your restaurant and even gave an extra 2:00 tip even tho I was picking up the pizza. I do not normally leave these kind of reviews but you left an ugly response and also said you are not magicians. There were not many people in the restaurant either more employees than customers. I have eaten at your restaurant for many years not sure why the past couple of times have been bad service and barely fair food. But since you think in these hard economic times it s ok to leave those types of responses and do not value hard working and good paying customers who only left a response because this was not the first time this has happened. Then we will not be returning and I am sorry to leave this kind of review but your response as an owner is very unprofessional. The mistake was yours and most people would apologize and say we will do our best to make sure this does not happen again. We would have directly erased the review but you stooped lower with your response as an owner and put me into a position to do something I don t like to do nor have the time to do.

I m a pizza snob and I m always open for a new spot. Found this one while out and about- stopped in for a slice and ended up with a pie as the time slot for slices was closed. Ordered my fav combo and it was stupendous!!!!!!!! Tasty, hot, cheesy greatness. Couldn t grab an adult beverage due to time and errands- but the pie was great, bartender/server engaged and full of Dad jokes definitely headed back!!

Our first time. Went during lunch time on a Wednesday. Had a great time because Mr. Larry made us feel welcomed. He was such a helpful person, that showed us the good deals for large groups. We ordered two pizzas and chicken fettuccine Alfredo. However, the cheese bread was the best part of the meal!! I swear this place has the worst service. We used to live in the area, and it was bad back then. Called in an order for pickup. Now mind you, we live in Converse and chose to drive all the way to this establishment to eat. They said it would be at least an hour because they were backed up. Got here at 45 minutes from when we called the order in, and they totally left an item off. We told them to give us the items they had on the order, and we would take the other item to go that they had left off. Now we have been sitting here over 30 minutes and the lady that we paid for the order came to our table and told us they had to reheat our food for us because it was ready before we got there. I placed our order at 5:55pm. At 7:25, I went to the counter and asked for a manager. She said the manager was in a meeting and unavailable. I told her to cancel the order and give me a full refund. She said she would have to get the manager (who she said two minutes ago was unavailable) And voila our reheated meals were being put on the table as she was on her way to get the manager. Over $50 dollars for reheated food, and hands down the worst service ever. I will certainly never go back, and will share my experience with everyone I know

Great atmosphere and selection of brews and drinks; skip the pizza. Great lively environment and the folks were nice and helpful. Unfortunately, for me, the pizza is average and not at the value that matches the price point. The crust is bland, pale and the addition of sauce and cheese didnt add much to the flavor. Keeping in mind Im not comparing this restaurant to places like Dough or Braza Brava, instead Im thinking of the HEB ready to take and bake type pizzas and similar quality. Im all for supporting local and small business and am glad to see they have such a large customer base. But, with a bill over $60 for 3 pizzas (one large, two small -one specialty), Ill tap out after one visit and wish them the best.

Nothing like being ignored when you enter the restaurant to pick up your online order. At least 4 of their waitresses or staff members saw my son and I and just decided not to acknowledge our presence there, to the extent that my 12 year old son said Dad, they wont even look at us. This was our second order from this place and the first time I picked up a pizza was not much different. Now that we know we are not welcome there, well eat elsewhere.

Ive been coming here with my mom for a long time and usually always had good experiences but they changed prices so often it gives whiplash. I tried ordering a margarita to go and they tried giving it in the smallest kid sized cup Ive ever seen, when I explained that they used the bigger styrofoam cups, the lady (presumably the owner) tried to gaslight me and tell me that no one has ever gotten them in those...when she was the one who used to sell them to us. Very rude, belittling, and overall manipulative. Selling good pizza does not garner the right to be horrible.

Ive been going here for years and have always loved the food. However, the service has been going noticeably downhill. I ordered a carryout order for 1 pizza and wings, and the receipt said it would be ready in 25 minutes. 30 minutes later, my partner went to pick up the order, and nobody acknowledged her for almost 10 minutes as she stood at the counter waiting. A woman who was not very friendly said that it wasnt ready, but gave no info about how much longer the wait would be. Fast forward 30+ minutes later and it STILL wasnt ready. A nice waitress finally helped my partner, gave her a drink and an expected time. Another guy came out and told her a different time that itd be ready. I couldve ordered papa Johns with much less stress and time waiting. I like to support our local businesses, but this isnt the first time weve had an experience similar to the service tonight. Its a real shame. Pizza Italia, please get better leadership at your restaurant because it seems disorganized and unwelcoming to customers, even loyal customers who may be more willing to ignore a hiccup or two.

First visit was exceptionally inviting. Much to choose from. Store front appearance is small but, that quickly changes when the door opens. Gentleman there greeted us with Great hospitality. Came in for lunch. We ordered pizza and drinks. Except when we got our food the girls working the front just spent the entire time on their phones or chatting with other employees. We didnt see more than 2 other tables with customers at a time during our visit and never saw any table get checked on. No service, slightly overcooked pizza but still good taste, place felt dead. Me and my husband ordered one pizza. It was $32 to be delivered for a large pizza. I got the tomato basil with extra cheese. It said it was supposed to have garlic had no garlic garlic is very powerful and I couldn t taste any garlic. Also, the toppings were maybe the size of a personal pizza in the middle the rest of it crust there was about 3 inches of crust. If I had not ordered extra cheese, I have no idea where all the toppings would have been. All I tasted was cheese and bread. I could ve saved myself $25 went to Little Caesars and got there Italian breadsticks. And it would ve had more flavor. Won t be ordering from here Again. Very disappointed. I ended up giving the last piece to my dog. At least he enjoyed it. Ok update I called and complained the manager gave me a $10 discount on My next order so a couple days later today I ordered the pizza again, but this time I added Marinara. It was delicious and made correctly. I loved it. They made up further mistake. I would order them again. Whoever made the pizza the last time I ordered to get new training.

Our first time visiting Pizza Italia on a Thursday when there is live Irish music The food is delicious!! Your order is made from scratch, so it will take a bit until you get it. Its worth the wait. Come on Pizza Italia. Ive been touting your praises for years. Tonight your service definitely left something to be desired. I ordered 3 items for pick up for a time of 25-30 minutes. Showed up at 30 minutes and our order was not ready. OK I get it, everyone is short staffed. After almost an hour later I was presented with a stapled bag with what felt like 3 items in it. Get home to find the artichoke dip and chips were in separate containers and my sausage roll was missing. Headed back to the store, explained the situation only to be presented with my sausage roll in a bag that had gotten left behind. So not only is my sausage roll not hot, nor is the food that came out originally. Nothing was offered as a compensation. Advice to anyone ordering pick up open the stapled bags and check your order.

Heard good things. Well, food was average at best. I had meatballs. No presentation on the plate. Not appetizing at all. My plate and wifes lasagna had way way too much sauce on it. Pizza is usually amazing. Weve been going here on and off for about 10 years. This is the first time I can complain about the pizza. The whole thing was terrible. I dont know if they changed how they make them, but wayyyyyyy more sauce then cheese on the pizza, and the crust was bland. We also got jalapeno poppers and the cheese inside was very runny and watery. The outside was fried fine so its not like they were undercooked, just the cheese inside was bad. Overall we ate a couple of slices and threw the rest away. Might give it a try in a year or so to see if was just a one time thing or if they just lost the quality we enjoyed over the years. I will say though, the staff was very prompt, professional, and friendly. Was very nice and clean inside as well.

Came here recently with my family and tried a variety of different options. Pasta, pizza, and a lot of appetizers. We have returned and have went back unfortunately not for the pizza or pasta. Our favorite items were the fried pickles and spicy wings. Not sure if it was because the pepperoni was under the cheese or the type of cheese they mightve used but it was a big No for us. The BBQ chicken pizza was a little bit better but not good enough to ever order and eat again. They are a great small business so expect a lengthy wait. 1/2 the staff you interact with is kind and helpful. The other 1/2 seem to hate their job and have no patience. (Order online )

I have been a loyal Pizza Italia customer for many years. I especially like the pizza-by-the-slice option. However, lately my (Italiano) slice has been hit or miss. More often than not it s overcooked/black crispy crust and skimpy toppings. I m afraid to order it again. Last visit I asked about the spinach artichoke dip and was told they sell out often. I was not impressed where s the spinach?? The cheese was very overpowering and made the dip very stiff and hard to eat. On the plus side the salads are very good, and the Stromboli is delicious!

Inside is open with a glass door industrial refrigerator with a huge variety of beer. One orders what is on the wall menu from a pleasant server. All I have ordered has been delicious. There is outside seating. Pizza here has a crisp bottom, and spongy crust. The sauce a pungent tomato taste with a hint on onion and herbs. The consistency indicates homemade. The amount of cheese is not overwhelming but enough to see it pull from the other slices when hot. I recomend the place highlyk Kid-friendliness: Have an outside patio that is enclosed. Underwhelming. I went a while back and had simply ordered their evening special with added toppings. The olives and peppers were put on after cooking and were cold. The staff were grumpy and impatient with my grandma. The atmosphere was not the greatest. The lights were spotlights above the fans, so when the fans turned on, there was a strobe light effect. All of the pictures on the wall were a bit odd as well. Hopefully others have a better experience. Parking: Small parking lot, can see it being difficult when busy.

This is the only Chiefs bar to watch them on TV in San Antonio. This is my second time visiting for the Chiefs / Eagles game. The first visit was great earlier this year. This visit, the place was packed, the wait staff was short-handed, and they had difficulty getting the game on the big screens in the picture. Parking can sometimes be a challenge. Overall, the staff handled the large crowd well. You just had to have patience. The pizzas are good, the beer selection is good, and the atmosphere is wonderful. I hope you enjoy yourself as much as we did. We will be back.

The two full pizzas came out after about 35 minutes but it was very busy with a chiefs football game crowd. Two cheese slices never came which were the dinner orders for two people at our table who do not eat meat or like other toppings. We reminded staff several times that two people at our table of six havent received their food. They could also easily see empty plates. They said theyd check a couple of times and while other food came out around us to other tables, no two slices of cheese pizza. We all ate and chatted while waiting but still no cheese pizza and wait staff stopped checking in. No help to reimburse for the slices as we finished. No apologies at the table. When we went to pay check and asked for two slices to be removed. They said they couldnt do it because manager was busy in the back and only a manager can do it. A manager too busy to provide good customer service. They made us write a phone number on a post-it so they could call next day to get us reimbursed. Ridiculous. Update: no phone call. Never reimbursed.

I worked for this business for awhile and they take money out of your checks and make you reuse toppings from pizza and hand out old pizza that s been sitting there for awhile most of there food can be microwaved or fried nothing is fresh there and I don recommend this place because it s a health hazard don t let you children work there and don t eat there because you might be eating mold and other toxins

My brother worked there for awhile and they wouldn t give him his last check for a month after they stopped putting him on the schedule and made him pick topping off of pizza and put it back into the containers and the pipes are basically busted he also told me his boss Terry would show up hungover and sit in the booths yelling at people the food is pretty gross in the sense that they reuse food because they are pretty cheap and violate a ton of health code standards they also take money out of your checks and try to play it off as fees

Got a salad and pizza. The pizza is good, and pizza by the slice is customizable, but the salad entrees are not worth the price. Got the Greek salad and while the dressing is good its basically a basic salad with kalmata olives on top. For about $12 probably not again. Again the food tastes good, but things could be improved to make the value of the food match the price

I should say I thought this place would be so much better the lemon pepper wings and the garlic bread were really good. Hey were Chiefs fans moved to SATX in 2021. Found out about Pizza Italia and that they are KC Chiefs Fan place. So we stopped by to join other KC FABs, but they werent able to tune the game. This has become our go-to place for pizza, especially because I have to order gluten-free. Other pizza places sometimes go the order wrong (and that would make me sick for days). These folks are always so courteous and helpful. The pizza is good, and we can choose between picking it up or having it delivered. So glad they are in our neighborhood! Staff here is terrible. My daughter and I come here often because she loves the pizza but the staff is either extremely rude to us or will forget our items, or just not be as attentive to us as they are everyone else. We always spend a good amount, don t cause any issues ever, even when our pizza is burnt, and tip well for the hardworking kids, there s no reason we should be treated in that manner. Probably won t be back for a while I hope this place gets it together they are a nice neighborhood place, but terrible customer service is just unacceptable.

came in at 10pm expecting to have a calm evening meal, except the owners 5 kids were running around the restaurant screaming. jumping to hit a banner hanging nearly right above our heads, tearing open and eating sugar packets, chasing each other around. the most disrespectful kids I have ever seen. the parents were both there and neither was doing anything to control these kids who were clearly a nuisance to us and the other customers. plus, the food was off tonight. the pizza sauce tasted more like tomato paste than flavorful pizza sauce. crust was over cooked and cut the roof of my mouth. would ve been forgivable but those kids were something else man.

ZERO STARS!! Absolutely horrible service. Walked in and there were 2 other tables and one gentleman at the bar. We walked past 3 different employees and none bothered to greet us. Pulled up two stools at the (filthy!) bar. Went and grabbed a menu and started looking. I recently went there to enjoy the Stromboli ( my favorite for years!), and after payment was made, I was told they no longer accept credit tips. This is GARBAGE!!
