I worked with Kelly over a four day event for our non-profit. She excelled in every area of professionalism: she was early every day, she scouted the venue prior to our event, her turn-around time on photos was incredibly fast, she followed our brief to a T, and she made our attendees and staff feel comfortable in front of a camera. As a small non-profit in a niche profession, it can be difficult to describe exactly what we want captured, but Kelly grabbed onto the vibe and gave us high-quality photos we will be using for years to come. I can not recommend her services enough!

If you are uncomfortable having your photo taken, Kelly is the photographer you want to go with! She is somehow able to say just the right things to get you to relax, and before you know it, youre genuinely laughing out loud while enjoying yourself and your loved ones, nearly forgetting that shes there on the periphery snapping away the whole time. When our photos arrived - I have no idea how she got the editing done so quickly - I was so surprised by how she was able to capture the feelings of love I have for my partner - feelings I often find difficult to express admist the chaos of life. We have four crazy canines and like some sort of dog whisperer, Kelly was able to get them to focus and captured their unique personalities. I cant stop looking through my gorgeous photos again and again; she somehow was able to make us glow almost with an inner light; these are the best photos Ive ever had taken of myself in all my 41 years and I will always treasure them!

Kelly Williams is an exceptional photographer! She was an absolute dream to work with and exceeded all our expectations. From the start, Kelly was organized and thorough, taking the time to scout our venue to ensure she captured the best spots for the diverse range of photos we needed. She handled both portraits and event images, even managing to beautifully capture portraits of children (which is no easy feat). Kellys professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire process. She was extremely timely in sending the images back to us, and the quality of her work was outstanding. We hired Kelly for our engagement photos and there are no words to describe the results! During our shoot, it was clear that Kelly took the time and dedication to make the session worth while. Kelly went to our desired locations prior to the session and created a Pinterest board for my fiancee to review beforehand. We hired Kelly Williams to be the photographer for our wedding in October 2023, signing up for her Timeless Tale package. We communicated that we wanted photos that would be more natural (i.e., not staged), and her storytelling approach through her camera lens really resonated with us. At our engagement photo shoot, it was clear Kelly went above and beyond to make the session great. She conducted a site visit beforehand, giving us some ideas for photos and angles. She prepared us with suggestions on attire and color schemes, too. During the session, she was incredibly engaging and encouraging, helping us feel ourselves as she captured memorable moments and the love we shared as a couple. She was also extremely personable, and we enjoyed getting to know her as we moved around Manhattan for our shoot. The same preparation and attention to detail was provided for our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and reception. Moreover, she was incredibly professional with other vendors (wedding planner, videographer, venue staff, etc.). She even turned highlight photos around for us within 24 hours, which gave us something to admire during our honeymoon. Kelly Williams is simply incredible with a camera. Amazingly, her skills are matched by her professionalism, responsiveness, diligence, and kindness. We cannot recommend Kelly enough, and wish we could give her more stars!

We first met Kelly at a friends wedding in 2017, and then we kept meeting her at all of our other friends weddings throughout the past few years. Every single person who has worked with Kelly has raved about her professionalism, quality of work, and ability to soothe and gracefully guide couples throughout the stressful journey of wedding planning. Come 2022, and its now my turn to get engaged, and who else do I go to but Kelly? She trekked up hills and commuted for hours to scout locations ahead of time (which she willingly did herself), she was on board with our funky ideas to incorporate donuts and outfit changes into our photoshoots, and, though she was hired as our engagement/wedding photographer, she managed to play five different roles at once -- kindly carrying my belongings when I didnt have any free hands, wrangling the entire bridal party and both families for photos, helping me to create the entire schedule for the wedding day, offering tips and resources about areas I hadnt considered, even assisting me in touching up my makeup at one point. The quality of her photos also speaks for itself, and you can easily peruse her work on her website. She has this wonderful ability to capture the true spirit of a person in her candids while making all of her subjects look poised and beautiful (even with dim lighting in the venue or crazy wind whipping everyones hair around!). Being the superwoman that she is, she got us our engagement and wedding highlights within 24 to 48 hours of the photoshoots and the fully edited, final products within 2 weeks. I would continue the pattern my friends had established by recommending Kelly to all my other friends in a heartbeat. One thing to note is that Kelly will be moving to San Antonio in early 2024. Whoever gets to work with her in Texas will feel so incredibly lucky. Thank you Kelly for this wonderful experience and the photos that we will cherish for years to come.

Kelly has photographed our family for the last three years and theres a reason we keep coming back! She makes our photo shoots so easy and fun - which is no simple feat with a baby & toddler involved. She maximizes the time we have together by doing thorough research and making sure she knows the ins and outs of the location. Every time, we get a huge range of beautiful photos that we (and our extended family!) absolutely love. Kellys photos feel candid and natural, and she really captures some special moments. Right out of the gate I was impressed with Kelly s professionalism and quick responses to my inquiries. She was able to confirm availability and even sent references from recent photo shoots she had done at the church/venue. The day of she showed up early for some detail shots and was in the background capturing all the candid moments with my family. She brought toys to get my son to look at the camera. Her style of photography is great for events, since she has an eye for catching those un planned moments. The images were edited and shared incredibly quick and in a user friendly format. I would hire her again to capture my family.

We hired Kelly to photograph our wedding and then, a few years later, to do a maternity shoot with us. She is everything you could want in an event-photographer: excellent coverage of the party, with good shot selection and an eye for memorable framing, but so unobtrusive that you forget shes there until you get the previews back the next day (and yes, the initial turn-around is that quick). Shes excellent in a small setting too, quickly building a rapport with you and finding out what sort of photos you want, rather than just applying a set template. Highly recommended.

Kelly did a fantastic job at my recent wedding (9/24/22 at Dyker Beach Golf Course) as well as for my engagement photos back in May (included with the Classic Novel package). My husband started out a bit camera shy but Kelly was a pleasure to work with and by the end of the engagement photos we both felt completely at ease going into the wedding. I would look forward to getting some more photos done with her in the years to come, perhaps once my husband and I expand our family. Like another reviewer we also got a bit behind on our timeline due to a transportation issue, and Kelly was able to work with us to adjust the schedule in a way that still got in all the formal photos we wanted. Besides the posed photos there are also so many good candids from the reception from the dance floor etc. We also had our highlights back on Monday from our Saturday night wedding, which were great to be able to share with our friends and family so quickly.

Kelly did an unbelievably fantastic job photographing our engagement and our wedding. We felt that having a good photographer was very important and she absolutely did not disappoint!!! Her level of preparation is unparalleled - we wanted to have our engagement photoshoot in a new location and she travelled there several days in advance to create a detailed plan for our photography session. Shes amazingly organized, professional, and efficient - she responds to emails extremely quickly. At one point during our wedding, we got behind schedule and she was able to quietly make up the time without compromising any of the photos we had planned and without feeling rushed. She sent us highlights within 24 hours of our wedding (!!!) and it was so special to be able to share those with friends and family before they went home. Most of all, shes an incredible photographer - the photos came out better than we could have ever dreamed. Multiple people came up to us during our big day to remark that she was the best photographer that they ve seen at a wedding. I really appreciated how organized and efficient she was before, during, and after the entire process! It snowed on our wedding day and I was floored at her level of preparation and professionalism: she proactively reached out to the hotel that we were staying at to check for alternative spaces for photos and turned a potentially disastrous outdoor photography session into a fun and stress-free indoor photo shoot. We felt so lucky to have her as our photographer. She is insanely organized, helpful, and responds to emails so quickly. For my mothers very special 60th birthday soiree, we decided to use Kellys professional photography services after having calls with her and knowing she was the right fit for our family. We first reached out to Kelly two years ago about photographing our wedding-- then COVID hit, and finally we were able to have it this summer! Kelly was extremely flexible and responsive through all the changes. She could not possibly have been kinder and more flexible and willing to travel when the location changed. Arranging it was very straight-forward; Kelly was very responsive £ so helpful beforehand speaking with me about outfits, lighting etc. She was also as flexible as possible, working around our baby s schedule. We ve used Kelly twice now - firstly for our wedding, and now for a family photo shoot with our toddler and on both occasions, she s done a fantastic job. I don t really enjoy having my photo taken, and was a little anxious about how well my somewhat feral toddler was going to behave on our family shoot. Kelly is kind and relaxed and instantly put everyone at ease. She had great ideas and suggestions for posed shots, but also took amazing photos of us just naturally interacting and playing with our toddler. We booked two hours for the shoot and she was punctual, professional and we got brilliant images in three different locations, even in such a short time slot. I can t recommend her highly enough.

Kelly came highly recommended by a colleague. The praise was well-deserved and we were blessed to have found her. She was thorough - got a list of all the shots that we wanted to be taken and scouted the locations prior to the shoot - she was receptive to our feedback, and most important to us - she was not intrusive. We didnt want someone who would get on a step-ladder in the middle of the dance floor and focus on taking a bunch of posed shots; her pictures were genuine. Our wedding was in May of this year, and we still can not get over how wonderful our pictures turned out. Kelly really and truly captured our wedding. She has such a talent. When we look back at our photos, we are able to remember not only the moment itself, but also the feeling. It s amazing. She caught special moments that happened in a split second when we didn t know anyone was watching, as well as ones we planned for and asked her to make sure she photographed. All this while remaining inconspicuous we were rarely aware of our picture being taken unless it was for a posed shot. Our guests felt the same way, and as a result they were relaxed and their true selves which made for even better pictures! On top of her photographic skills, Kelly was always available to lend her expertise, advice, and truly provided a sense of calm to us both day-of and in the months leading up to our big day. We didn t have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, so there were definitely a few times with high stress and many unanswered questions throughout our planning process. However, when we were with, or talking with Kelly, we always felt like we were in good hands, that our wedding dreams were achievable, and that it was all going to be OKAY. It made a big difference having not only such a talented, but experienced NYC Photographer no matter what we had questions or were nervous about, she had seen it and done it before. And if something came up where she hadn t, she was ready to roll with it and remain professional and on her game. We truly could not have been happier with Kelly. Kelly is an AMAZING photographer! Not only does she have great skill and creativity, she is also incredibly organized and makes you feel very comfortable. We used her for our family wedding dinner and City Hall wedding. My first interaction with her was through email and she was very professional and patient with all the questions I had. When I met her at our first event (the dinner), she was very warm and welcoming and made it so comfortable for me, my husband, and our families to take photos. On top of that, she arrived early to both events, making sure things were setup for her and to make sure she was ready for us. In many ways, Kelly was not only our wedding photographer, but also our wedding coordinator. We had incorporated a traditional Korean wedding ceremony (pyebaek) into our dinner and she knew more about it than we did because she had researched it herself so much! We even ended up asking her what the next steps were when we were confused. Kelly is also incredibly knowledgable about the way Manhattan City Hall works and helped us through each step. We took our family and couple portraits in Brooklyn Bridge Park and she knew all the great places to take photos. We highly recommend Kelly for all your photography needs!

Kelly did a portrait session of my family for my dads 60th birthday. We are so thrilled with the results. Kelly was so easy to work with, spent time visiting our site locations the week before the shoot and keeping me up to date on our weather outlook (it was looking like it might rain) and helping try to find rain dates or locations in needed -- thankfully we didnt. Kelly did our engagement photos. She did an amazing job. Communication before and after the shoot was great. She is very professional. She went above and beyond. Its hard to describe in a short review just how incredible and integral Kelly was to our wedding and wedding-planning experience. Out of all our vendors, Kelly was the most communicative, thorough, and just lovely to hang out with - not to mention insanely talented behind the camera. We were nervous while searching for a photographer at first, because my now-husband is not super comfortable in front of the camera and hes about a foot taller than me, so we tended to look awkward in photos together in the past. But from the moment we sat down with Kelly at our first meeting, we felt immediately at ease. She totally got our vision for our engagement shoot, and was just as enthusiastic as we were about the strange places in Brooklyn we wanted to go to take photos. When we got our photo highlights back from that shoot (within 24 hours), we could hardly believe it was us in the photos. From that time forward, we would joke often that no matter what else went wrong in the wedding-planning process, we knew wed have fun with Kelly and that our photos would turn out stunningly. And we were right! She even wrote a full blog post detailing all the best parts of our wedding, which our family and friends loved and were able to share widely as a snapshot of the day. We cant imagine our wedding without Kelly!

Kelly is an amazing photographer. I hired her to shoot my elopement 8/25 within a few weeks notice, and she was warm, accommodating, and just as excited as I was. She worked with our tight time frame and budget, and provided the shots that we wanted. Her constant communication put me at ease, and I knew I didnt have to worry about her providing an amazing service for us. We were shocked at her quick turnaround time and couldnt believe how amazing our pictures came out. I cannot say enough good things about Kelly. My husband and I hired Kelly to shoot our wedding and included engagement portraits as well. She ended up being my favorite wedding professional/vendor that we worked with (and we had a lot of good ones!). She is professional, engaging, dedicated, and so talented! Our photos are one of the most important things for us. Theyre one of the only things you keep after your wedding and the photographer is with you all day at your most intimate personal moments. Kelly instantly put us at ease and, as a result, allowed us to truly be ourselves in front of the camera. Additionally, she was more prepared than I ever expected with her shot list and extensive research (including TWO! site visits) and detailed (but flexible) itinerary leading up to our engagement shoot & wedding day. After our engagement photos my husband said the whole experience, which he was dreading since he tends to stiffen up sometimes in front of a camera, was not only better than he expected but actually enjoyable. He thanked me for making us meet with multiple photographers to make sure we were as comfortable with who we went with as we were with Kelly. For our actual wedding which was about a month ago, we ended up with around 230 people. When I originally started planning I assumed wed need 2 photographers, but Kelly assured me that she could handle a wedding this size and she more than delivered. Our photos are beautiful and we have more than I thought possible. She got some of the best shots back to us within 24 hours and then delivered with almost 2000 photos a few weeks after that. She also made everything so easy to use - her website was always updated and easy to figure out plus she gives you a Dropbox to download the photos in black & white and color. Like all my interactions with her from the moment I first reached out to her, she was the epitome of professional the actual day of the wedding. Showed up early, stayed past her contract time, and was almost invisible until I needed her for a specific shot (which you want at your wedding so you get the best documentary style non-posed in the moment photos)! She was prepared for everything and clearly looked over all the things we communicated about. She was also so incredibly responsive over email, which I really appreciated. She was also so calm and great the entire day and during the whole process. By the end of it all I felt like I not only made a great friend, but a family photographer for life. I imagine using her a lot in the future for all types of events because shes so versatile and talented. She really captures the most natural and true to your life photos, which to me is the best kind of memory to keep. On top of that, her prices are more than fair, reasonable, and clearly laid out. Plus her awesome blog is a great resource for any bride. Really, if you need any type of professional photos taken for any setting, you should 100% contact Kelly now.

Kelly was amazing to work with. ! Kelly took our engagement and wedding photos and I loved having her as our photographer. We wanted someone who is professional and takes great pictures, but also someone who is relaxed, easygoing, and comfortable with our nontraditional wedding. Kelly met all of those criteria. She was incredibly responsive throughout the process (and got back best of photos within 24 hours, which is great!), easy to talk to, and so thoughtful. She didnt pressure us to do any formal photos and allowed us to take pictures when we wanted, where we wanted, and how we wanted. And I love her photos of our wedding! We were looking for a documentary/reporting style and she delivered exactly that, she is very responsive, thoughtful and goes above and beyond her scope of work as a photographer (had all sorts of props and tools to help out with the most random tasks, from scissors to cut a ribbon to a hook to tighten up a corset you name it). The coverage she provided was great value compared to others out there and she has a very quick turnaround. Also a fun touch to see her take on the wedding in her blog where she wrote a nice portrait in words (in addition to the wonderful pictures). Truly recommended and would look forward to working with her again!

Our wedding was a very small intimate ceremony held at city hall, yet Kelly was able to capture it in such a picturesque manner. She was able to brilliantly show all the priceless moments in every picture she took. Many of our friends and family were thoroughly impressed by the photos. Besides her ability to take such wonderful pictures, she was very professional, thorough and friendly, making sure everyone was comfortable in front of the camera. Kelly photographed our wedding in September 2015 and we cant recommend her enough! Kelly photographed our wedding reception, and did a fantastic job. She was easy to get in touch with, made the payment process simple, and did a great deal of prep and research before the big day. On the day of the reception, she had a plan for awesome photos around the neighborhood of the venue, and then once the reception started, she captured everything we wanted and more without us ever noticing her working. Kelly is a master at capturing an event through candid photography. She was somehow able to take photos of everyone at our 150-person wedding - even people we didnt get a chance to see during the event! She captured everyone from the little children to the grandmothers and everyone in-between interacting with one another, eating, dancing, chatting and generally having a good time. She was a wonderful addition to all of the pre-wedding getting-ready time, acting as a calming presence during the hectic hours leading up to the wedding ceremony. She is pleasant, kind, good-natured, resourceful and goes with the flow - which is a great quality in a photographer who may have to deal with unanticipated weather (which we had at our wedding), last-minute event changes and spontaneous happenings that pop up at an event when everyone is celebrating and having a good time. From our first meeting to getting the final DVD of photos in the mail, Kelly was amazing. My husband and I dont usually like having our picture taken, but Kelly managed to make us feel relaxed and encouraged us to have fun with it (we did both an engagement shoot and wedding photos with her). Not only are all of the photos gorgeous, there are so many beautiful little moments she captured that I otherwise wouldnt have gotten to see: the wedding party reacting to our first look, other couples dancing, friends seeing each other for the first time in years. Kelly managed to be everywhere at once, but still be unobtrusive. And we love her very natural and candid photography style. We cannot recommend her highly enough! I booked Kelly as our wedding photographer based on reviews I had seen online and in the New York Magazine. Arranging a wedding in the US from the UK it was useful to read about Kellys natural photography style and I booked her based on her reviews. Kelly was great at communicating with me over such a long distance and was so kind to send a handwritten note and camomile tea across to the UK - it was such a lovely surprise. I met up with Kelly 9 months before the wedding to talk about what we wanted and she was so friendly and approachable and open to all of our ideas. She also gave me lots of hints and tips for the day - things I hadnt yet considered which was fantastic. I loved the fact that Kelly visited all of the venues and spoke to all of my contacts to make sure she could get a good feel for the format of the day and check if it was OK to photograph in the public spaces. She is really well organised. On the day it was great to see Kelly again and be welcomed with a huge hug that was much appreciated! Kelly was so fantastic on the day, all of the guests commented on how well she worked around us. We didnt want many posed photos and Kelly was just there in the background all day taking fantastic natural pictures of us. I would recommend Kelly to everyone for their wedding day - the pictures are absolutely stunning and exactly what we had hoped for. We are looking forward to meeting up for a drink with her next time we come to NYC which is testament to how closely we worked together on the day. I have nothing but the best to say about Kelly. She is perhaps the most responsible and responsive professional Ive ever worked with: funny, personable, and completely flexible -- she listens to what you want and tailors her talent to meet your needs. She was always early to our meetings, prepared (she checked out our venue ahead of time), and produced stunning photos delivered before we even got back from our honeymoon. On top of that, her pricing is reasonable -- especially given her amazing talent and standards for service. I cant think of anyone I would recommend more highly.
